யோபு 33

1 ௧ “யோபே, என் நியாயங்களைக் கேளும்; என் வார்த்தைகளுக்கெல்லாம் செவிகொடும்.

“But now, O Job, hear my speech, and listen to all my words.

2 ௨ இதோ, என் வாயை இப்போது திறந்தேன்; என் வாயிலிருக்கிற என் நாவானது பேசும்.

Behold, I will open my mouth; my address is on the tip of my tongue.

3 ௩ என் வார்த்தைகள் என் இருதயத்தின் உண்மைக்கு ஒத்திருக்கும்; நான் அறிந்ததை என் உதடுகள் சுத்தமாக பேசும்.

My words are from an upright heart, and my lips speak sincerely what I know.

4 ௪ தேவனுடைய ஆவியானவர் என்னை உண்டாக்கினார்; சர்வவல்லவருடைய சுவாசம் எனக்கு உயிர்கொடுத்தது.

The Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life.

5 ௫ உம்மால் முடிந்தால் எனக்கு மறுமொழி கொடும்; நீர் ஆயத்தப்பட்டு எனக்கு முன்பாக நில்லும்.

Refute me if you can; prepare your case and confront me.

6 ௬ இதோ, உம்மைப்போல நானும் தேவனால் உண்டானவன்; நானும் மண்ணினால் உருவாக்கப்பட்டவன்.

I am just like you before God; I was also formed from clay.

7 ௭ இதோ, நீர் எனக்குப் பயப்பட்டுக் கலங்கத் தேவையில்லை; என் கை உம்மேல் பாரமாயிருக்காது.

Surely no fear of me should terrify you; nor will my hand be heavy upon you.

8 ௮ நான் என் காதாலே கேட்க நீர் சொன்னதும், நான் கேள்விப்பட்ட உம்முடைய வார்த்தைகளின் சத்தமும் என்னவென்றால்:

Surely you have spoken in my hearing, and I have heard these very words:

9 ௯ நான் மீறுதல் இல்லாத சுத்தமுள்ளவன், நான் குற்றமற்றவன், என்னில் பாவமில்லை.

‘I am pure, without transgression; I am clean, with no iniquity in me.

10 ௧0 இதோ, என்னில் அவர் குற்றம் கண்டுபிடிக்கப்பார்க்கிறார், என்னைத் தமக்கு எதிரியாக நினைத்துக்கொள்ளுகிறார்.

Yet God finds occasions against me; He counts me as His enemy.

11 ௧௧ அவர் என் கால்களைத் தொழுவத்திலே அடைத்து, என் நடைகளையெல்லாம் காவல் வைக்கிறார் என்று சொன்னீர்.

He puts my feet in the stocks; He watches over all my paths.’

12 ௧௨ இதிலே நீர் நீதியுள்ளவர் அல்லவென்று உமக்கு மறுமொழியாகச் சொல்லுகிறேன்; மனிதனைவிட தேவன் பெரியவராயிருக்கிறார்.

Behold, you are not right in this matter. I will answer you, for God is greater than man.

13 ௧௩ அவர் தம்முடைய செயல்கள் எல்லாவற்றையும் குறித்துக் பதில் சொல்லவில்லையென்று நீர் அவருடன் ஏன் வழக்காடுகிறீர்?

Why do you complain to Him that He answers nothing a man asks?

14 ௧௪ தேவன் ஒரு முறை சொல்லியிருக்கிற காரியத்தை இரண்டாம் முறை பார்த்து மாற்றுகிறவரல்லவே.

For God speaks in one way and in another, yet no one notices.

15 ௧௫ ஆழ்ந்த தூக்கம் மனிதர்மேல் இறங்கி, அவர்கள் படுக்கையின்மேல் படுத்திருக்கும்போது,

In a dream, in a vision in the night, when deep sleep falls upon men as they slumber on their beds,

16 ௧௬ அவர் இரவு நேரத்துத் தரிசனமான சொப்பனத்திலே மனிதருடைய காதுகளுக்குத் தாம் செய்யும் காரியத்தை வெளிப்படுத்தி, அதை அவர்களுக்கு வரும் தண்டனையினாலே பயமுறுத்தி,

He opens their ears and terrifies them with warnings

17 ௧௭ மனிதன் தன்னுடைய செயலைவிட்டு நீங்கவும், மனிதருடைய பெருமை அடங்கவும் செய்கிறார்.

to turn a man from wrongdoing and keep him from pride,

18 ௧௮ இவ்விதமாக அவனுடைய ஆத்துமாவைப் படுகுழிக்கும், அவன் உயிரைப் பட்டய வெட்டுக்கும் தப்புவிக்கிறார்.

to preserve his soul from the Pit and his life from perishing by the sword.

19 ௧௯ அவன் தன் படுக்கையிலே வாதையினாலும், தன் எல்லா எலும்புகளிலும் கடுமையான வியாதியினாலும் தண்டிக்கப்படுகிறான்.

A man is also chastened on his bed with pain and constant distress in his bones,

20 ௨0 அவன் உயிர் அப்பத்தையும், அவனுடைய ஆத்துமா ருசிகரமான ஆகாரத்தையும் வெறுக்கும்.

so that he detests his bread, and his soul loathes his favorite food.

21 ௨௧ அவனுடைய உடல் காணப்படாமல் அழிந்து, மூடப்பட்டிருந்த அவனுடைய எலும்புகள் வெளிப்படுகிறது.

His flesh wastes away from sight, and his hidden bones protrude.

22 ௨௨ அவனுடைய ஆத்துமா பாதாளத்திற்கும், அவனுடைய உயிர் மரணத்திற்கும் நெருங்குகிறது.

He draws near to the Pit, and his life to the messengers of death.

23 ௨௩ ஆயிரத்தில் ஒருவராகிய பரிந்துபேசுகிற தேவ தூதனானவர் மனிதனுக்குத் தம்முடைய நிதானத்தை அறிவிப்பதற்கு, அவனுக்கு சாதகமாக இருந்தாரென்றால்,

Yet if there is a messenger on his side, one mediator in a thousand, to tell a man what is right for him,

24 ௨௪ அவர் அவனுக்கு இரங்கி, அவன் படுகுழியில் இறங்காமல் இருக்க: நீர் அவனைக் காப்பாற்றும்; மீட்கும் பொருளை நான் கண்டுபிடித்தேன் என்பார்.

to be gracious to him and say, ‘Spare him from going down to the Pit; I have found his ransom,’

25 ௨௫ அப்பொழுது அவனுடைய உடல் வாலிபத்தில் இருந்ததைவிட ஆரோக்கியமடையும்; தன் இளவயது நாட்களுக்குத் திரும்புவான்.

then his flesh is refreshed like a child’s; he returns to the days of his youth.

26 ௨௬ அவன் தேவனை நோக்கி விண்ணப்பம் செய்யும்போது, அவன் அவருடைய சமுகத்தைக் கெம்பீரத்துடன் பார்க்கும்படி அவர் அவன்மேல் பிரியமாகி, அந்த மனிதனுக்கு அவனுடைய நீதியின் பலனைக் கொடுப்பார்.

He prays to God and finds favor; he sees God’s face and shouts for joy, and God restores His righteousness to that man.

27 ௨௭ அவன் மனிதரை நோக்கிப் பார்த்து: நான் பாவம் செய்து செம்மையானதைப் புரட்டினேன், அது எனக்குப் பலன் கொடுக்கவில்லை.

Then he sings before men with these words: ‘I have sinned and perverted what was right; yet I did not get what I deserved.

28 ௨௮ என் ஆத்துமா படுகுழியில் இறங்காமல் இருக்க, அவர் அதை காப்பாற்றுவார் ஆகையால் என் உயிர் வெளிச்சத்தைக் காணும் என்று சொல்லுவான்.

He redeemed my soul from going down to the Pit, and I will live to see the light.’

29 ௨௯ இதோ, தேவன் மனிதனுடைய ஆத்துமாவைப் படுகுழிக்கு விலக்குகிறதற்கும், அவனை உயிருள்ளோரின் வெளிச்சத்தினாலே பிரகாசிப்பதற்கும்,

Behold, all these things God does to a man, two or even three times,

30 ௩0 அவர் இவைகளையெல்லாம் அவனிடத்தில் பலமுறை நடப்பிக்கிறார்.

to bring back his soul from the Pit, that he may be enlightened with the light of life.

31 ௩௧ யோபே, நீர் கவனித்து என் சொல்லைக் கேளும்; நான் பேசப்போகிறேன், நீர் மவுனமாயிரும்.

Pay attention, Job, and listen to me; be silent, and I will speak.

32 ௩௨ சொல்லவேண்டிய நியாயங்கள் இருந்ததென்றால், எனக்குப் பதில் கொடும்; நீர் பேசும், உம்மை நீதிமானாக நிரூபிக்க எனக்கு ஆசையுண்டு.

But if you have something to say, answer me; speak up, for I would like to vindicate you.

33 ௩௩ ஒன்றும் இல்லாதிருந்ததென்றால் நீர் என் சொல்லைக் கேளும், மவுனமாயிரும், நான் உமக்கு ஞானத்தைப் போதிப்பேன்” என்றான்.

But if not, then listen to me; be quiet, and I will teach you wisdom.”
