யோபு 11

1 ௧ அப்பொழுது நாகமாத்தியனாகிய சோப்பார் மறுமொழியாக:

Then answered Zophar the Naamathite, and said,

2 ௨ “ஏராளமான வார்த்தைகளுக்கு பதில் சொல்லவேண்டாமோ? வாயடிக்கிறவன் நீதிமானாக விளங்குவானோ?

Should not the multitude of words be answered? and should a man full of talk be justified?

3 ௩ உம்முடைய வீம்புவார்த்தைகளுக்கு மனிதர் மவுனமாயிருப்பார்களோ? நீர் கேலிசெய்யும்போது, ஒருவரும் உம்மை வெட்கப்படுத்தவேண்டாமோ?

Should thy lies make men hold their peace? and when thou mockest, shall no man make thee ashamed?

4 ௪ என் சொல் சுத்தம் என்றும், நான் தேவனாகிய உம்முடைய பார்வைக்கு சுத்தமானவன் என்றும் நீர் சொல்லுகிறீர்.

For thou hast said, My doctrine is pure, and I am clean in thy eyes.

5 ௫ ஆனாலும் தேவன் பேசி, உமக்கு விரோதமாகத் தம்முடைய உதடுகளைத் திறந்து,

But O that God would speak, and open his lips against thee;

6 ௬ உமக்கு ஞானத்தின் இரகசியங்களை வெளிப்படுத்தினால் நலமாயிருக்கும்; உள்ளபடி பார்த்தால், அது இரண்டுமடங்காக இருக்கிறது; ஆகையால் உம்முடைய அக்கிரமத்திற்கேற்றபடி தேவன் உம்மைத் தண்டிக்கவில்லையென்று அறிந்துகொள்ளும்.

And that he would show thee the secrets of wisdom, that they are double to that which is! Know therefore that God exacteth of thee less than thy iniquity deserveth.

7 ௭ தேவனுடைய மறைவான ஞானத்தை நீர் ஆராய்ந்து, சர்வவல்லவருடைய சம்பூரணத்தை நீர் அறியமுடியுமோ?

Canst thou by searching find out God? canst thou find out the Almighty to perfection?

8 ௮ அது வானம்வரை உயர்ந்தது; உம்மால் என்ன ஆகும்? அது பாதாளத்திலும் ஆழமானது, நீர் அறிந்து கொள்வது என்ன? (Sheol h7585)

It is as high as heaven; what canst thou do? deeper than hell; what canst thou know? (Sheol h7585)

9 ௯ அதின் அளவு பூமியைவிட நீளமும், சமுத்திரத்தைவிட அகலமுமாயிருக்கிறது.

The measure of it is longer than the earth, and broader than the sea.

10 ௧0 அவர் பிடித்தாலும், அவர் அடைத்தாலும், அவர் நியாயத்தில் கொண்டுவந்து நிறுத்தினாலும், அவரைத் தடை செய்கிறவன் யார்?

If he shall cut off, and shut up, or gather together, then who can hinder him?

11 ௧௧ மனிதருடைய மாயத்தை அவர் அறிவார்; அக்கிரமத்தை அவர் கண்டும், அதைக் கவனிக்காமல் இருப்பாரோ?

For he knoweth vain men: he seeth wickedness also; will he not then consider it?

12 ௧௨ புத்தியில்லாத மனிதன் காட்டுக்கழுதைக்குட்டிக்கு ஒப்பாகப் பிறந்திருந்தாலும், அறிவுள்ளவனாக இருக்கிறான்.

For vain man would be wise, though man is born like a wild donkey’s colt.

13 ௧௩ நீர் உம்முடைய இருதயத்தை ஆயத்தப்படுத்தி, உம்முடைய கைகளை அவருக்கு நேராக விரித்தால் நலமாயிருக்கும்.

If thou preparest thy heart, and stretchest out thy hands toward him;

14 ௧௪ உம்முடைய கையிலே அநீதி இருந்தால், அதைத் தூரத்தில் அகற்றிவிட்டு, அநியாயம் உம்முடைய கூடாரங்களில் தங்கவிடாதிரும்.

If iniquity is in thy hand, put it far away, and let not wickedness dwell in thy tents.

15 ௧௫ அப்பொழுது உம்முடைய முகத்தை வெட்கமில்லாமல் தலைநிமிர்ந்து, பயப்படாமல் பலன்கொண்டிருப்பீர்.

For then shalt thou lift up thy face without spot; yea, thou shalt be steadfast, and shalt not fear:

16 ௧௬ அப்பொழுது நீர் வருத்தத்தை மறந்து, கடந்துபோன தண்ணீரைப்போல அதை நினைப்பீர்.

Because thou shalt forget thy misery, and remember it as waters that pass away:

17 ௧௭ அப்பொழுது உம்முடைய ஆயுள்காலம் நடுப்பகலைவிட பிரகாசமாயிருக்கும்; இருள் அடைந்த நீர் விடியற்காலத்தைப்போலிருப்பீர்.

And thy age shall be clearer than the noonday; thou shalt shine forth, thou shalt be as the morning.

18 ௧௮ நம்பிக்கை உண்டாயிருக்கிறதினால் பெலனாயிருப்பீர்; தோண்டி ஆராய்ந்து சுகமாகப் படுத்துக்கொள்வீர்.

And thou shalt be secure, because there is hope; yea, thou shalt dig about thee, and thou shalt take thy rest in safety.

19 ௧௯ பயமுறுத்துவாரில்லாமல் தூங்குவீர்; அநேகர் உமது முகத்தை நோக்கி விண்ணப்பம் செய்வார்கள்.

Also thou shalt lie down, and none shall make thee afraid; yea, many shall make suit to thee.

20 ௨0 துன்மார்க்கருடைய கண்கள் பூத்துப்போய், அவர்கள் அடைக்கலம் அவர்களை விட்டு அகன்று, அவர்கள் நம்பிக்கை மரணமடைகிறவன் சுவாசம்போல் அழிந்துபோகும்” என்றான்.

But the eyes of the wicked shall fail, and they shall not escape, and their hope shall be as the giving up of the ghost.
