எரேமியா 22
Thus says the Lord; Go you, and go down to the house of the king of Juda, and you shall speak there this word,
2 ௨ தாவீதின் சிங்காசனத்தில் வீற்றிருக்கிற யூதாவின் ராஜாவே, நீரும் உம்முடைய வேலைக்காரரும் இந்த வாசல்களுக்குள் நுழைகிற உம்முடைய மக்களும் யெகோவாவுடைய வார்த்தையைக் கேளுங்கள்.
and you shall say, Hear the word of the Lord, O king of Juda, that sit on the throne of David, you, and your house, and your people, and they that go in at these gates:
3 ௩ நீங்கள் நியாயமும் நீதியும் செய்து, பறிகொடுத்தவனை ஒடுக்குகிறவனுடைய கையிலிருந்து காப்பாற்றுங்கள்; நீங்கள் பரதேசியையும் திக்கற்றவனையும் விதவையையும் ஒடுக்காமலும், கொடுமை செய்யாமலும், இவ்விடத்தில் குற்றமில்லாத இரத்தத்தைச் சிந்தாமலும் இருங்கள்.
thus says the Lord; Execute you judgement and justice, and rescue the spoiled out of the hand of him that wrongs him: and oppress not the stranger, and orphan, and widow, and sin not, and shed no innocent blood in this place.
4 ௪ இந்த வார்த்தையின்படியே நீங்கள் உண்மையாகச் செய்வீர்கள் என்றால், தாவீதின் சிங்காசனத்தில் உட்கார்ந்திருக்கிற ராஜாக்கள் இரதங்கள்மேலும் குதிரைகள்மேலும் ஏறி, அவனும் அவன் வேலைக்காரரும் அவன் மக்களுமாக இந்த அரண்மனை வாசல்களின் வழியாக நுழைவார்கள் என்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்.
For if you will indeed perform this word, then shall there enter in by the gates of this house kings sitting upon the throne of David, and riding on chariots and horses, they, and their servants, and their people.
5 ௫ நீங்கள் இந்த வார்த்தைகளைக் கேளாமற்போனீர்கள் என்றால் இந்த அரண்மனை அழிந்துபோகும் என்று என் பெயரில் கட்டளையிட்டேன் என்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்.
But if you will not perform these words, by myself have I sworn, says the Lord, that this house shall be [brought] to desolation.
6 ௬ யூதா ராஜாவின் அரண்மனையைக் குறித்துக் யெகோவா: நீ எனக்குக் கீலேயாத்தைப்போலவும் லீபனோனின் கொடுமுடியைப்போலவும் இருக்கிறாய்; ஆனாலும் மெய்யாகவே நான் உன்னை வனாந்திரத்தைப்போலவும், குடியில்லாத பட்டணங்களைப்போலவும் ஆக்கிவிடுவேன்.
For thus says the Lord concerning the house of the king of Juda; You are Galaad to me, [and] the head of Libanus: [yet] surely I will make you a desert, [even] cities that shall not be inhabited:
7 ௭ அழிப்பவர்களை அவரவர் ஆயுதங்களுடன் நான் உனக்கு விரோதமாக ஆயத்தப்படுத்துவேன்; உன் விலையுயர்ந்த கேதுருக்களை அவர்கள் வெட்டி, நெருப்பில் போடுவார்கள்.
and I will bring upon you a destroying man, and his axe: and they shall cut down your choice cedars, and cast [them] into the fire.
8 ௮ அநேகம் மக்கள் இந்த நகரத்தைக் கடந்துவந்து, அவனவன் தன்தன் அருகில் உள்ளவனை நோக்கி: இந்தப் பெரிய நகரத்திற்கு யெகோவா இப்படிச் செய்தது என்னவென்று கேட்பார்கள்.
And nations shall pass through this city, and each shall say to his neighbour, Why has the Lord done thus to this great city?
9 ௯ அதற்கு மறுமொழியாக: அவர்கள் தங்கள் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவின் உடன்படிக்கையை விட்டுவிட்டு, அந்நிய தெய்வங்களைப் பணிந்துகொண்டு, அவைகளுக்கு ஆராதனை செய்ததினால் இப்படியானது என்பார்கள் என்று சொல்லுகிறார்.
And they shall say, Because they forsook the covenant of the Lord their God, and worshipped strange gods, and served them.
10 ௧0 இறந்தவனுக்காக அழவேண்டாம், அவனுக்காகப் பரிதாபப்படவும் வேண்டாம், சிறைப்பட்டுப்போனவனுக்காகவே அழுங்கள்; அவன் இனித் திரும்பிவருவதுமில்லை, தன் பிறந்த பூமியைக் காண்பதுமில்லை.
Weep not for the dead, nor lament for him: weep bitterly for him that goes away: for he shall return no more, nor see his native land.
11 ௧௧ தன் தகப்பனாகிய யோசியாவின் பட்டத்திற்கு வந்து, ஆட்சிசெய்து, இவ்விடத்திலிருந்து புறப்பட்டுப்போன யூதாவின் ராஜாவாயிருந்த யோசியாவின் மகனாகிய சல்லூமைக் குறித்து: அவன் இனி இங்கே திரும்பவராமல்,
For thus says the Lord concerning Sellem the son of Josias, who reigns in the place of Josias his father, who has gone forth out of this place; He shall not return there any more:
12 ௧௨ தான் கொண்டுபோகப்பட்ட இடத்தில் இறப்பான்; இந்தத் தேசத்தை அவன் இனிக் காண்பதில்லையென்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்.
but in that place whither I have carried him captive, there shall he die, and shall see this land no more.
13 ௧௩ தனக்கு விசாலமான வீட்டையும், காற்று வீசும் விசாலமான மேலறைகளையும் கட்டுவேனென்று சொல்லி, ஜன்னல்களைத் தனக்குத் திறந்து, கேதுரு பலகைகளை வைத்து, தெளிவான சிவப்பு வண்ணம் பூசி,
He that builds his house not with justice, and his upper chambers not with judgement, who works by means of his neighbour for nothing, and will by no means give him his reward.
14 ௧௪ அநீதியினால் தன் வீட்டையும், அநியாயத்தினால் தன் மேலறைகளையும் கட்டி, தன் அந்நியன் செய்யும் வேலைக்குக் கூலிகொடுக்காமல், அவனைச் சும்மா வேலைவாங்குகிறவனுக்கு ஐயோ,
You have built for yourself a well-proportioned house, airy chambers, fitted with windows, and wainscoted with cedar, and painted with vermilion.
15 ௧௫ நீ கேதுருமர மாளிகைகளில் உலாவுகிறதினால் ராஜாவாக இருப்பாயோ? உன் தகப்பன் சாப்பிட்டுக் குடித்து, நியாயமும் நீதியும் செய்தபோது அவன் சுகமாய் வாழ்ந்திருக்கவில்லையோ?
Shall you reign, because you are provoked with your father Achaz? they shall not eat, and they shall not drink: it is better for you to execute judgement and justice.
16 ௧௬ அவன் சிறுமையும் எளிமையுமானவனுடைய நியாயத்தை விசாரித்தான்; அப்பொழுது சுகமாய் வாழ்ந்தான், அப்படிச் செய்வதல்லவோ என்னை அறிகிற அறிவு என்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்.
They understood not, they judged not the cause of the afflicted, nor the cause of the poor: is not this your not knowing me? says the Lord.
17 ௧௭ உன் கண்களும் உன் மனதுமோவென்றால் தற்பொழிவின்மேலும், குற்றமில்லாத இரத்தத்தைச் சிந்துவதின்மேலும், இடுக்கமும் நொறுக்குதலும் செய்வதின்மேலுமே அல்லாமல் வேறொன்றின்மேலும் வைக்கப்படவில்லை.
Behold, your eyes are not good, nor your heart, but [they go] after your covetousness, and after the innocent blood to shed it, and after acts of injustice and slaughter, to commit them.
18 ௧௮ ஆகையால் யெகோவா யோசியாவின் மகனாகிய யோயாக்கீம் என்கிற யூதாவின் ராஜாவைக் குறித்து: ஐயோ, என் சகோதரனே, ஐயோ, சகோதரியே, என்று அவனுக்காகப் புலம்புவதில்லை; ஐயோ, ஆண்டவனே, ஐயோ, அவருடைய மகத்துவமே, என்று அவனுக்காகப் புலம்புவதில்லை.
Therefore thus says the Lord concerning Joakim son of Josias, king of Juda, even concerning this man; they shall not bewail him, [saying], Ah brother! neither shall they at all weep for him, [saying], Alas Lord.
19 ௧௯ ஒரு கழுதை புதைக்கப்படுகிற விதமாக அவன் எருசலேமின் வாசல்களுக்கு வெளியே இழுத்தெறிந்து புதைக்கப்படுவான் என்று சொல்லுகிறார்.
He shall be buried with the burial of an ass; he shall be dragged roughly along and cast outside the gate of Jerusalem.
20 ௨0 லீபனோனின் மேலேறிப் புலம்பு, பாசானில் மிகுந்த சத்தமிடு, அபாரீமிலிருந்து கூப்பிட்டுக்கொண்டிரு; உன் நேசர் அனைவரும் வீழ்ந்தார்கள்.
Go up to Libanus, and cry; and utter your voice to Basan, and cry aloud to the extremity of the sea: for all your lovers are destroyed.
21 ௨௧ நீ சுகமாய் வாழ்ந்திருக்கும்போது நான் உனக்குச் சொன்னேன், நீ கேட்கமாட்டேன் என்றாய்; உன் சிறுவயதுமுதல் நீ என் சத்தத்தைக் கேளாமற்போகிறதே உன் வழக்கம்.
I spoke to you on [occasion of] your trespass, but you said, I will not listen. This [has been] your way from your youth, you have not listened to my voice.
22 ௨௨ உன் மேய்ப்பர்கள் எல்லோரையும் காற்று அடித்துக்கொண்டுபோகும்; உன் நேசர் சிறைப்பட்டுப்போவார்கள்; அப்போதல்லவோ உன் எல்லாப் பொல்லாப்புக்காகவும் நீ வெட்கப்பட்டு அவமானமடைவாய்.
The wind shall tend all your shepherds, and your lovers shall go into captivity; for then shall you be ashamed and disgraced because of all your lovers.
23 ௨௩ லீபனோனில் வாசமாயிருந்து, கேதுருமரங்களில் கூடுகட்டிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறவளே, வேதனைகளும் பிள்ளை பெற்றெடுப்பவளைப்போல வாதையும் உனக்கு வரும்போது, நீ எவ்வளவு பரிதபிக்கப்படத்தக்கவளாக இருப்பாய்
O you that dwell in Libanus, making your nest in the cedars, you shall groan heavily, when pangs as of a travailing woman are come upon you.
24 ௨௪ யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய யோயாக்கீமின் மகன் கோனியா, என் வலதுகையின் முத்திரை மோதிரமாயிருந்தாலும், அதிலிருந்து உன்னைக் கழற்றி எறிந்துபோடுவேன் என்று என் ஜீவனைக்கொண்டு சொல்லுகிறேன் என்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்.
[As] I live, says the Lord, though Jechonias son of Joakim king of Juda were indeed the seal upon my right hand, thence would I pluck you;
25 ௨௫ உன் உயிரை வாங்கத் தேடுகிறவர்களின் கையிலும், நீ பயப்படுகிறவர்களின் கையிலும் உன்னை ஒப்புக்கொடுப்பேன்; பாபிலோன் ராஜாவாகிய நேபுகாத்நேச்சாரின் கையிலும் கல்தேயரின் கையிலும் ஒப்புக்கொடுப்பேன்.
and I will deliver you into the hands of them that seek your life, before whom you are afraid, into the hands of the Chaldeans.
26 ௨௬ உன்னையும், உன்னைப் பெற்ற தாயையும், உங்கள் பிறந்த தேசமில்லாத அந்நிய தேசத்தில் துரத்திவிடுவேன். அங்கே இறப்பீர்கள்.
And I will cast forth you, and your mother that bore you, into a land where you were not born; and there you shall die.
But they shall by no means return to the land which they long for in their souls.
28 ௨௮ கோனியா என்கிற இந்த மனிதன் அவமதிக்கப்பட்ட உடைந்த சிலையோ? ஒருவரும் விரும்பாத பாத்திரமோ? அவனும் அவன் சந்ததியும் தள்ளுண்டதும், தாங்கள் அறியாத தேசத்தில் துரத்திவிடப்பட்டதும் ஏது?
Jechonias is dishonoured as a good-for-nothing vessel; for he is thrown out and cast forth into a land which he knew not.
Land, land, hear the word of the Lord.
30 ௩0 இந்த மனிதன் சந்ததியில்லாதவன், தன் நாட்களில் வாழ்வடையாதவன் என்று இவனைக்குறித்து எழுதுங்கள்; அவன் வித்தில் ஒருவனாகிலும் வாழ்வடைந்து, தாவீதின் சிங்காசனத்தில் வீற்றிருந்து, யூதாவில் அரசாளப்போவதில்லை என்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்.
Write you this man an outcast: for there shall none of his seed at all grow up to sit on the throne of David, [or as] a prince yet in Juda.
