ஏசாயா 49
1 ௧ தீவுகளே, எனக்குச் செவிகொடுங்கள்; தூரத்திலிருக்கிற மக்களே, கவனியுங்கள்; தாயின் கர்ப்பத்திலிருந்ததுமுதல் யெகோவா என்னை அழைத்து, நான் என் தாயின் வயிற்றில் இருக்கும்போது என் நாமத்தைப் பிரஸ்தாபப்படுத்தினார்.
Hearken, ye Coastlands, unto me, And give ear ye peoples afar off, —Yahweh, called me, from my birth, From my nativity, made he mention of my name;
2 ௨ அவர் என் வாயைக் கூர்மையான பட்டயமாக்கி, தமது கரத்தின் நிழலினால் என்னை மறைத்து, என்னைக் கூர்மையான அம்பாக்கி, என்னைத் தமது அம்புகளை வைக்கும் பையிலே மூடிவைத்தார்.
And he made my mouth, like a sharp sword, In the shadow of his hand, he concealed me, —And made of me a polished arrow, In his quiver, he hid me;
And said to me My Servant, thou art, —Israel, in whom I will get myself glory.
4 ௪ அதற்கு நான்: வீணாக உழைக்கிறேன், வீணாகவும் பயனற்றதாகவும் என் பெலனைச் செலவழிக்கிறேன்; ஆகிலும் என் நியாயம் கர்த்தரிடத்திலும், என் பலன் என் தேவனிடத்திலும் இருக்கிறது என்று சொன்னேன்.
But I, said, To no purpose, have I toiled, For waste and mist—my vigour, have I spent, —Surely, my vindication, is, with, Yahweh, And, my recompence, with my God.
5 ௫ யாக்கோபைத் தம்மிடத்தில் திருப்பும்படி நான் தாயின் கர்ப்பத்திலிருந்ததுமுதல் யெகோவா தமக்கு ஊழியக்காரனாக என்னை உருவாக்கினார்; இஸ்ரவேலோ சேராதேபோகிறது; ஆகிலும் யெகோவாவுடைய பார்வையில் கனமடைவேன், என் தேவன் என் பெலனாயிருப்பார்.
Now, therefore, said Yahweh—Fashioning me from birth To be Servant to him, To restore Jacob unto him, And that, Israel, unto him, might be gathered And I be honourable in the eyes of Yahweh, And, my God, be proved to have been my strength,
6 ௬ யாக்கோபின் வம்சங்களை எழுப்பவும், இஸ்ரவேலில் காக்கப்பட்டவர்களைத் திருப்பவும், நீர் எனக்குத் தாசனாயிருப்பது அற்பகாரியமாயிருக்கிறது; நீர் பூமியின் முடிவுவரைக்கும் என்னுடைய இரட்சிப்பாயிருக்கும்படி, உம்மை தேசங்களுக்கு ஒளியாகவும் வைப்பேன் என்கிறார்.
Yea he said—It is too small a thing, for being my Servant, That thou shouldest raise up the tribes of Jacob, And the preserved of Israel, shouldst restore, —So I will give thee to become a light of nations, That, my salvation, may reach as far as the end of the earth.
7 ௭ இஸ்ரவேலின் மீட்பரும் அதின் பரிசுத்தருமாகிய யெகோவா, மனிதர்களால் அசட்டைசெய்யப்பட்டவரும், தேசங்களால் அருவருக்கப்பட்டவரும், அதிகாரிகளுக்கு ஊழியக்காரனுமாயிருக்கிறவரை நோக்கி, உண்மையுள்ள யெகோவா நிமித்தமும், உம்மைத் தெரிந்துகொண்ட இஸ்ரவேலின் பரிசுத்தர்நிமித்தமும், ராஜாக்கள் கண்டு எழுந்திருந்து, பிரபுக்கள் பணிந்துகொள்வார்கள் என்று சொல்கிறார்.
Thus, saith Yahweh—the Redeemer of Israel, his Holy One To him that is despised of the soul, To the abhorred of the nation To the servant of rulers, Kings, shall see and arise, Princes, lo! they have bowed themselves down, —Because of Yahweh, who is faithful, The Holy One of Israel, lo! he hath chosen thee.
8 ௮ பின்னும் யெகோவா: அனுக்கிரகக் காலத்திலே நான் உமக்குச் செவிகொடுத்து, இரட்சணிய நாளிலே உமக்கு உதவி செய்தேன்; நீர் பூமியைச் சீர்ப்படுத்தி, பாழாய்க்கிடக்கிற இடங்களைச் சொந்தமாக்கிக்கொள்ளவும்;
Thus, saith Yahweh—In a time of acceptance, have I answered thee, In a day of salvation, have I helped thee, —That I may preserve thee And give thee as the covenant of a people, To establish the land, To bring into possession the desolate heritages;
9 ௯ கட்டுண்டவர்களை நோக்கி: புறப்பட்டுப்போங்கள் என்றும்; இருளில் இருக்கிறவர்களை நோக்கி: வெளியே வாருங்கள் என்றும் சொல்லவும், நான் உம்மைக் காப்பாற்றி, உம்மை மக்களுக்கு உடன்படிக்கையாக ஏற்படுத்துவேன்; அவர்கள் வழியோரங்களிலே மேய்வார்கள்; சகல மேடுகளிலும் அவர்களுக்கு மேய்ச்சல் உண்டாயிருக்கும்.
Saying To them who are bound Go forth, To them who are in darkness, Shew yourselves, —By the roads, shall they graze, And on all bare places, shall be their pasture:
10 ௧0 அவர்கள் பசியாயிருப்பதுமில்லை, தாகமாயிருப்பதுமில்லை; உஷ்ணமாகிலும், வெயிலாகிலும் அவர்கள்மேல் படுவதுமில்லை; அவர்களுக்கு இரங்குகிறவர் அவர்களை நடத்தி, அவர்களை நீரூற்றுகளிடத்திற்குக் கொண்டுபோய்விடுவார்.
They shall neither hunger, nor thirst, Nor shall smite them the glowing sand, or the glaring sun, —For, he that hath compassion upon them, will lead them, And unto springs of water, will he conduct them.
Then will I make of all my mountains, a road, And my highways, shall be upraised.
12 ௧௨ இதோ, இவர்கள் தூரத்திலிருந்து வருவார்கள்; இதோ, அவர்கள் வடக்கிலும் மேற்கிலுமிருந்து வருவார்கள்; இவர்கள் அஸ்வான் தேசத்திலுமிருந்து வருவார்கள் என்கிறார்.
Lo! these, from afar, shall come in, —And lo! these, from the North and from the West, And these, from the land of Sinim.
13 ௧௩ வானங்களே, கெம்பீரித்துப் பாடுங்கள்; பூமியே, களிகூரு; மலைகளே, கெம்பீரமாக முழங்குங்கள்; யெகோவா தம்முடைய மக்களுக்கு ஆறுதல் செய்தார்; சிறுமைப்பட்டிருக்கிற தம்முடையவர்கள்மேல் இரக்கமாயிருப்பார்.
Shout in triumph—O heavens! And exult—O earth! And break forth, ye mountains, into shouts of triumph, —For Yahweh hath comforted his people, And on his humbled ones, taketh he compassion.
But Zion had said. Yahweh hath forsaken me, —Even, My Lord, hath forgotten me!
15 ௧௫ ஒரு பெண் தன் கர்ப்பத்தின் குழந்தைக்கு இரங்காமல், தன் மகனை மறப்பாளோ? அவர்கள் மறந்தாலும், நான் உன்னை மறப்பதில்லை.
Can, a woman, forget, her sucking child, Past taking compassion on the son of her womb? Even these, may forget, Yet will, I, not forget, thee:
Lo! on the palms of my hands, have I portrayed thee, —Thy walls are before me continually.
17 ௧௭ உன் மகன்கள் துரிதமாக வருவார்கள்; உன்னை நிர்மூலமாக்கினவர்களும் உன்னைப் பாழாக்கினவர்களும் உன்னை விட்டுப் புறப்பட்டுப்போவார்கள்.
In haste are thy sons, —They who have been tearing thee down and laying thee waste, out of thee, let them go forth!
18 ௧௮ உன் கண்களை ஏறெடுத்துச் சுற்றிலும் பார்; அவர்களெல்லோரும் ஏகமாகக்கூடி உன்னிடத்தில் வருகிறார்கள்; நீ அவர்களெல்லோரையும் ஆபரணமாக அணிந்து, மணமகள் அணிந்துகொள்வதுபோல, நீ அவர்களை அணிந்துகொள்வாய் என்று, என் ஜீவனைக்கொண்டு சொல்கிறேன் என்று யெகோவா உரைக்கிறார்.
Lift up, round about, thine eyes and see, All those, have gathered themselves together—have come to thee! As I live, Declareth Yahweh, —Surely all those as an ornament, shalt thou put on, And bind them about thee for a girdle as a bride.
19 ௧௯ அப்பொழுது உன் வனாந்திரங்களும், உன் பாழான இடங்களும், நிர்மூலமான உன் தேசமும், இனிக் குடிமக்களின் திரளினாலே உனக்கு நெருக்கமாயிருக்கும்; உன்னை விழுங்கினவர்கள் தூரமாவார்கள்.
Surely, as for thy wastes, and thy desolations, and thy land of ruins, Surely, now, shalt thou be too strait for thine inhabitants, And, far off, shall be they who have been swallowing thee up.
20 ௨0 பிள்ளைகளற்றிருந்த உனக்கு உண்டாயிருக்கப்போகிற பிள்ளைகள்: இடம் எங்களுக்கு நெருக்கமாயிருக்கிறது; நாங்கள் குடியிருக்கும்படிக்கு விலகியிரு என்று, உன் காதுகள் கேட்கச்சொல்வார்கள்.
The children of whom thou wast bereaved shall yet say in thine ears, —Too strait for me, is the place Make room for me that I may settle down.
21 ௨௧ அப்பொழுது நீ: இவர்களை எனக்குப் பிறப்பித்தவர் யார்? நான் பிள்ளைகளற்றும், தனித்தும், சிறைப்பட்டும், நிலையற்றும் இருந்தேனே; இவர்களை எனக்கு வளர்த்தவர் யார்? இதோ, நான் தனிமையாக விடப்பட்டிருந்தேனே; இவர்கள் எங்கேயிருந்தவர்கள்? என்று உன் இருதயத்தில் சொல்வாய்.
Then shalt thou say in thy heart, —Who hath borne me, these, Seeing, I, have been bereaved and unfruitful, a captive and banished? These, therefore, who hath brought them up? Lo! I, was left, alone, These, where were they?
22 ௨௨ இதோ, தேசங்களுக்கு நேராக என் கையை உயர்த்தி, மக்களுக்கு நேராக என் கொடியை ஏற்றுவேன்; அப்பொழுது உன் மகன்களை பெரும் கைகளில் ஏந்திக்கொண்டு வருவார்கள்; உன் மகள்கள் தோளின்மேல் எடுத்துக்கொண்டு வரப்படுவார்கள் என்று கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் சொல்கிறார்.
Thus, saith My Lord, Yahweh—Lo! I will lift up, unto nations my hand, Yea unto peoples, will I raise high my banner, —And they shall bring in thy sons in their bosom, And, thy daughters, on the shoulder shall be borne;
23 ௨௩ ராஜாக்கள் உன்னை வளர்க்கும் தந்தைகளும், அவர்களுடைய நாயகிகள் உன் வளர்க்கும் தாய்களுமாயிருப்பார்கள்; தரையிலே முகங்குப்புறவிழுந்து உன்னைப் பணிந்து, உன் கால்களின் தூளை நக்குவார்கள்; நான் யெகோவா, எனக்குக் காத்திருக்கிறவர்கள் வெட்கப்படுவதில்லை என்பதை அப்பொழுது அறிந்துகொள்வாய்.
And, kings, shall be, thy foster-fathers. And their queens, thy nursing mothers, With face to the ground, shall they bow down to thee, The dust of thy feet, shall they lick, —So shalt thou know that, I, am Yahweh, In that, they shall not be put to shame, Who were waiting for me.
24 ௨௪ பராக்கிரமன் கையிலிருந்து கொள்ளைப்பொருளைப் பறிக்கமுடியுமோ? அல்லது நீதியாய்ச் சிறைப்பட்டுப்போனவர்களை விடுவிக்கமுடியுமோ?
Shall prey, be taken from a mighty one? Or the captive of one in the right, be delivered?
25 ௨௫ என்றாலும் இதோ, பராக்கிரமனால் சிறைப்படுத்தப்பட்டவர்களும் விடுவிக்கப்படுவார்கள்; பெலவந்தனால் கொள்ளையிடப்பட்டதும் விடுதலையாக்கப்படும்; உன்னோடு வழக்காடுகிறவர்களுடன் நான் வழக்காடி, உன் பிள்ளைகளை இரட்சித்துக்கொள்வேன்.
Surely, thus, saith Yahweh—Even the captive of the mighty one, shall be taken away, And the prey of the tyrant, be delivered; And thine opposers, I, will oppose, And thy children, I, will save;
26 ௨௬ உன்னை ஒடுக்கினவர்களுடைய மாம்சத்தை அவர்களுக்கே சாப்பிடக்கொடுப்பேன்; மதுபானத்தால் வெறிகொள்வதுபோல் தங்களுடைய இரத்தத்தினால் வெறிகொள்வார்கள்; கர்த்தரும் யாக்கோபின் வல்லவருமாகிய நான் உன் இரட்சகரும் உன் மீட்பருமாயிருக்கிறதை மாம்சமான அனைவரும் அறிந்துகொள்வார்களென்று யெகோவா சொல்கிறார்.
Then will I feed thy tormentors with their own flesh, And as with new wine—with their own blood, shall they be drunk, —So shall all flesh, know, that, I—Yahweh, am thy Saviour, And, thy Redeemer, is the Mighty One of Jacob.
