ஏசாயா 32

1 ௧ இதோ, ஒரு ராஜா நீதியாக அரசாளுவார்; பிரபுக்களும் நியாயமாக ஆளுகை செய்வார்கள்.

Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in justice.

2 ௨ அவர் காற்றுக்கு ஒதுக்காகவும், பெருவெள்ளத்திற்குப் புகலிடமாகவும், வறண்ட நிலத்திற்கு நீர்க்கால்களாகவும், விடாய்த்த பூமிக்குப் பெருங்கன்மலையின் நிழலாகவும் இருப்பார்.

And a man shall be as a hiding-place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest, as streams of water in a dry place, as the shade of a great rock in a weary land.

3 ௩ அப்பொழுது காண்கிறவர்களின் கண்கள் மங்கலாக இருக்காது; கேட்கிறவர்களின் செவிகள் கவனித்தே இருக்கும்.

And the eyes of them that see shall not be dim, and the ears of them that hear shall hearken.

4 ௪ பதற்றமுள்ளவர்களின் இருதயம் அறிவை உணர்ந்துகொள்ளும், திக்குகிறவர்களுடைய நாவு தடையின்றித் தெளிவாகப் பேசும்.

And the heart of the rash shall understand knowledge, and the tongue of the stammerers shall be ready to speak plainly.

5 ௫ மூடன் இனி தயாளன் என்று மதிக்கப்படமாட்டான்; துஷ்டன் இனி தயாள குணமுள்ளவன் என்று சொல்லப்படுவதுமில்லை.

The fool shall be no more called noble, nor the churl said to be bountiful.

6 ௬ ஏனென்றால் மூடன், மூடத்தனத்தைப் பேசுகிறான்; அவன் இருதயம் அநியாயத்தை நடப்பிக்கும்; அவன் மாயம்செய்து, யெகோவாவுக்கு விரோதமாக விபரீதம் பேசி, பசியுள்ள ஆத்துமாவை வெறுமையாக வைத்து, தாகமுள்ளவனுக்குத் தாகம் தீர்க்காதிருக்கிறான்.

For the fool will speak folly, and his heart will work iniquity, to practise profaneness, and to utter error against Jehovah, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and to cause the drink of the thirsty to fail.

7 ௭ துஷ்டனின் எத்தனங்களும் பொல்லாதவைகள்; ஏழைகள் நியாயமாகப் பேசும்போது, அவன் கள்ளவார்த்தைகளாலே எளியவர்களைக் கெடுக்க தீவினைகளை யோசிக்கிறான்.

And the instruments of the churl are evil: he deviseth wicked devices to destroy the meek with lying words, even when the needy speaketh right.

8 ௮ தயாளகுணமுள்ளவன் தயாளமானவைகளை யோசிக்கிறான், தயாளமானவைகளிலே நிலைத்தும் இருக்கிறான்.

But the noble deviseth noble things; and in noble things shall he continue.

9 ௯ சுகஜீவிகளாகிய பெண்களே, எழுந்திருந்து என் வார்த்தைகளைக் கேளுங்கள்; நிர்விசாரமான பெண்களே, என் வசனத்திற்குச் செவிகொடுங்கள்.

Rise up, ye women that are at ease, [and] hear my voice; ye careless daughters, give ear unto my speech.

10 ௧0 நிர்விசாரிகளே, ஒரு வருடமும் சில நாட்களுமாகத் தத்தளிப்பீர்கள்; திராட்சைப்பலன் அற்றுப்போகும்; அறுப்புக்காலம் வராது.

For days beyond a year shall ye be troubled, ye careless women; for the vintage shall fail, the ingathering shall not come.

11 ௧௧ சுகஜீவிகளே, நடுங்குங்கள்; நிர்விசாரிகளே, தத்தளியுங்கள்; உடையை களைந்துபோட்டு, இடுப்பில் சணல் ஆடையைக் கட்டிக்கொள்ளுங்கள்.

Tremble, ye women that are at ease; be troubled, ye careless ones; strip you, and make you bare, and gird [sackcloth] upon your loins.

12 ௧௨ செழிப்பான வயல்களுக்காகவும் கனிதரும் திராட்சைச் செடிகளுக்காகவும் மாரடித்துப் புலம்புவார்கள்.

They shall smite upon the breasts for the pleasant fields, for the fruitful vine.

13 ௧௩ என் மக்களுடைய நிலத்திலும், களிகூர்ந்திருந்த நகரத்திலுள்ள சந்தோஷம் நிறைந்த எல்லா வீடுகளிலும், முட்செடியும் நெரிஞ்சிலும் முளைக்கும்.

Upon the land of my people shall come up thorns and briers; yea, upon all the houses of joy in the joyous city.

14 ௧௪ அரண்மனை பாழாக விடப்படும், மக்கள் நிறைந்த நகரம் வெறுமையாகும், மேடும் கோபுரமும் என்றைக்கும் கெபிகளாகும், அவைகள் காட்டுக்கழுதைகள் களிக்கும் இடமாயும் மந்தைகளுக்கு மேய்ச்சலிடமாயும் இருக்கும்.

For the palace shall be forsaken; the populous city shall be deserted; the hill and the watch-tower shall be for dens for ever, a joy of wild asses, a pasture of flocks;

15 ௧௫ உன்னதத்திலிருந்து நம்மேல் தேவனுடைய ஆவி ஊற்றப்படும்வரை அப்படியே இருக்கும்; அப்பொழுது வனாந்திரம் செழிப்பான வயல்வெளியாகும்; செழிப்பான வயல்வெளி காடாக நினைக்கப்படும்.

until the Spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness become a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be esteemed as a forest.

16 ௧௬ வனாந்திரத்திலே நியாயம் வாசமாயிருக்கும், செழிப்பான வயல்வெளியிலே நீதி தங்கித்தரிக்கும்.

Then justice shall dwell in the wilderness; and righteousness shall abide in the fruitful field.

17 ௧௭ நீதியின் செயல் சமாதானமும், நீதியின் பலன் என்றுமுள்ள அமைதலும் சுகமுமாம்.

And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness, quietness and confidence for ever.

18 ௧௮ என் மக்கள் சமாதான குடியிருப்புகளிலும், நிலையான இருப்பிடங்களிலும், அமைதியாகத் தங்கும் இடங்களிலும் குடியிருக்கும்.

And my people shall abide in a peaceable habitation, and in safe dwellings, and in quiet resting-places.

19 ௧௯ ஆனாலும் காடு அழிய கல்மழை பெய்யும், அந்த நகரம் மகா தாழ்வாய்த் தாழ்ந்துபோகும்.

But it shall hail in the downfall of the forest; and the city shall be utterly laid low.

20 ௨0 மாடுகளையும் கழுதைகளையும் நடத்திக்கொண்டுபோய், நீர்வளம் பொருந்திய இடங்களிலெல்லாம் விதை விதைக்கிற நீங்கள் பாக்கியவான்கள்.

Blessed are ye that sow beside all waters, that send forth the feet of the ox and the ass.
