ஏசாயா 29
Woe to Ariel, to Ariel, The city where David dwelt! Add year to year, Let the festivals go round,
2 ௨ அரியேலுக்கு இடுக்கம் உண்டாக்குவேன்; அப்பொழுது துக்கமும் சலிப்பும் உண்டாகும்; அது எனக்கு அரியேலாகத்தான் இருக்கும்.
Then will I distress Ariel; Mourning and sorrow shall be there; Yet shall she be to me as Ariel [[the lion of God]].
3 ௩ உன்னைச் சூழப் படைகளை நிறுத்தி, உன்னைத் கோபுரங்களால் முற்றுகையிட்டு, உனக்கு விரோதமாகக் கோட்டை மதில்களை எடுப்பிப்பேன்.
I will encamp against thee round about, And I will lay siege against thee with a mound, And I will raise towers against thee.
4 ௪ அப்பொழுது நீ தாழ்த்தப்பட்டுத் தரையிலிருந்து பேசுவாய்; உன் பேச்சுப் பணிந்ததாக மண்ணிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டு, உன் சத்தம் குறிசொல்கிறவனுடைய சத்தத்தைப்போல் தரையிலிருந்து முணுமுணுத்து, உன் வாக்கு மண்ணிலிருந்து கசுகுசென்று உரைக்கும்.
Thou shalt be brought down, and speak from the ground, And thy speech shall be low from the dust; Thy voice shall be like that of a spirit under ground, And thy speech shall chirp as from the dust.
5 ௫ உன்மேல் வருகிற அந்நியரின் கூட்டம் பொடித்தூள் அளவாகவும், பலவந்தரின் கூட்டம் பறக்கும் பதர்களைப்போலவும் இருக்கும்; அது திடீரென்று உடனே சம்பவிக்கும்.
Yet shall the multitude of thine enemies be like fine dust; The multitude of the terrible like flying chaff; It shall take place suddenly, in a moment.
6 ௬ இடிகளினாலும், பூமி அதிர்ச்சியினாலும், பெரிய இரைச்சலினாலும், பெருங்காற்றினாலும், புயலினாலும், சுட்டெரிக்கிற அக்கினிஜூவாலையினாலும், சேனைகளின் யெகோவாவாலே விசாரிக்கப்படுவாய்.
From Jehovah of hosts cometh the visitation With thunder, and earthquake, and great noise, With storm and tempest, And flames of devouring fire.
7 ௭ அரியேலின்மேல் போர்செய்கிற திரளான சகல தேசங்களும், அதின்மேலும் அதின் அரண்மேலும் போர்செய்து, அதற்கு இடுக்கண் செய்கிற அனைவரும், இரவுநேரத் தரிசனமாகிய சொப்பனத்தைக் காண்கிறவர்களுக்கு ஒப்பாயிருப்பார்கள்.
As a dream, a vision of the night, Shall be the multitude of all the nations That fight against Ariel, That fight against her and her fortress, And distress her.
8 ௮ அது, பசியாயிருக்கிறவன் தான் சாப்பிடுவதாக கனவு கண்டும், விழிக்கும்போது அவன் வெறுமையாயிருக்கிறதுபோலவும், தாகமாயிருக்கிறவன், தான் குடிக்கிறதாக கனவுகண்டும், விழிக்கும்போது அவன் சோர்வடைந்து தாகத்தோடிருக்கிறதுபோலவும் சீயோன் மலைக்கு விரோதமாக போர்செய்கிற திரளான சகல தேசங்களும் இருக்கும்.
As a hungry man dreameth, and lo! he eateth, But awaketh and is still hungry; And as a thirsty man dreameth, and lo! he drinketh, But awaketh, and lo! he is faint and thirsty; So shall it be with the multitude of all the nations That fight against mount Zion.
9 ௯ தரித்துநின்று திகையுங்கள்; பிரமித்துக் கூப்பிடுங்கள்; வெறித்திருக்கிறார்கள், திராட்சைரசத்தினால் அல்ல; தள்ளாடுகிறார்கள், மதுபானத்தினால் அல்ல.
Be in amazement and be amazed! Be blinded and be blind! They are drunk, but not with wine; They stagger, but not with strong drink!
10 ௧0 யெகோவா உங்கள்மேல் கனநித்திரையின் ஆவியை வரச்செய்து, உங்கள் கண்களை அடைத்து, ஞானதிருஷ்டிக்காரர்களாகிய உங்கள் தீர்க்கதரிசிகளுக்கும் தலைவர்களுக்கும் முக்காடு போட்டார்.
For Jehovah hath poured upon you a spirit of slumber; He hath closed your eyes, the prophets, And covered your heads, the seers;
11 ௧௧ ஆதலால் தரிசனமெல்லாம் உங்களுக்கு முத்திரிக்கப்பட்ட புத்தகத்தின் வசனங்களைப்போலிருக்கும்; வாசிக்க அறிந்திருக்கிற ஒருவனுக்கு அதைக் கொடுத்து; நீ இதை வாசி என்றால், அவன்: இது என்னால் முடியாது, இது முத்திரை போடப்பட்டிருக்கிறது என்பான்.
And so every vision is to you as the words of a sealed book, Which is given to a man that is skilled in writing, Saying, “Read this, I pray thee”; But he answereth, “I cannot, for it is sealed.”
12 ௧௨ அல்லது வாசிக்கத் தெரியாதவனிடத்தில் புத்தகத்தைக் கொடுத்து; நீ இதை வாசி என்றால், அவன்: எனக்கு வாசிக்கத் தெரியாது என்பான்.
Or, if he give it to one that is not skilled in writing, Saying, “Read this, I pray thee,” He answereth, “I am not skilled in writing.”
13 ௧௩ இந்த மக்கள் தங்கள் வாயினால் என்னிடத்தில் சேர்ந்து, தங்கள் உதடுகளினால் என்னைக் கனப்படுத்துகிறார்கள்; அவர்கள் இருதயமோ எனக்குத் தூரமாக விலகியிருக்கிறது; அவர்கள் எனக்குப் பயப்படுகிற பயம் மனிதர்களாலே போதிக்கப்பட்ட கற்பனையாயிருக்கிறது.
Therefore saith the Lord, Since this people draweth near to me with their mouth, And honoreth me with their lips, While their heart is far from me, And their worship of me is according to the commandments of men,
14 ௧௪ ஆதலால் இதோ, நான் அற்புதமும் ஆச்சரியமுமான பிரகாரமாக இந்த மக்களுக்குள்ளே ஒரு அதிசயத்தைச் செய்வேன்; அவர்களுடைய ஞானிகளின் ஞானம் கெட்டு, அவர்களுடைய விவேகிகளின் விவேகம் மறைந்துபோகும் என்று ஆண்டவர் சொல்கிறார்.
Therefore, behold, I will proceed to deal marvellously with this people; Marvellously and wonderfully, For the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, And the prudence of the prudent shall be hid.
15 ௧௫ தங்கள் ஆலோசனையைக் யெகோவாவுக்கு மறைக்கும்படிக்கு மறைவிடங்களில் ஒளித்து, தங்கள் செயல்களை அந்தகாரத்தில் நடப்பித்து: நம்மைப் பார்க்கிறவர் யார்? நம்மை அறிகிறவர் யார்? என்று சொல்கிறவர்களுக்கு ஐயோ,
Woe to them that hide deep their purposes from Jehovah, Whose work is in darkness; That say, Who seeth us? Who knoweth us?
16 ௧௬ ஆ, நீங்கள் எவ்வளவு மாறுபாடுள்ளவர்கள்! குயவன் களிமண்ணுக்குச் சமானமாக கருதப்படலாமோ? உண்டாக்கப்பட்ட பொருள் தன்னை உண்டாக்கினவரைக்குறித்து: அவர் என்னை உண்டாக்கினதில்லை என்றும்; உருவாக்கப்பட்ட பொருள் தன்னை உருவாக்கினவரைக்குறித்து: அவருக்குப் புத்தியில்லையென்றும் சொல்லத்தகுமோ?
Alas, your perverseness! Is the potter to be esteemed as the clay, That the work should say of its maker, He made me not? And the thing formed say of him that formed it, He hath no understanding?
17 ௧௭ இன்னும் கொஞ்ச காலத்திலல்லவோ லீபனோன் செழிப்பான வயல்வெளியாக மாறும்; செழிப்பான வயல்வெளி காடாக என்னப்படும்.
Is it not yet a very little while, And Lebanon shall be changed to a fruitful field, And the fruitful field be esteemed a forest.
18 ௧௮ அக்காலத்திலே செவிடர்கள் புத்தகத்தின் வசனங்களைக் கேட்பார்கள்; குருடர்களின் கண்கள் இருளுக்கும் அந்தகாரத்திற்கும் நீங்கலாகிப் பார்வையடையும்.
And in that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book, And out of mist and darkness shall the eyes of the blind see.
19 ௧௯ சிறுமையானவர்கள் யெகோவாவுக்குள் மிகவும் மகிழ்ந்து, மனிதர்களில் எளிமையானவர்கள் இஸ்ரவேலின் பரிசுத்தருக்குள் களிகூருவார்கள்.
The afflicted shall exceedingly rejoice in Jehovah, And the poor shall exult in the Holy One of Israel.
For the oppressor hath come to naught; the scoffer is destroyed; And all that watched for iniquity are cut off;
21 ௨௧ ஒரு வார்த்தைக்காக மனிதனைக் குற்றப்படுத்தி, நியாயவாசலில் தங்களைக் கடிந்துகொள்ளுகிறவனுக்குக் கண்ணிவைத்து, நீதிமானை நியாயமில்லாமல் துரத்தி, இப்படி அக்கிரமம்செய்ய வகைதேடுகிற அனைவரும் அழிக்கப்படுவார்கள்.
Who condemned a man in his cause, And laid snares for him who defended himself in the gate, And with falsehood caused the righteous to fail.
22 ௨௨ ஆகையால், ஆபிரகாமை மீட்டுக்கொண்ட யெகோவா யாக்கோபின் வம்சத்தைக்குறித்து: இனி யாக்கோபு வெட்கப்படுவதில்லை; இனி அவன் முகம் செத்துப்போவதுமில்லை.
Therefore concerning the house of Jacob thus saith Jehovah, He that redeemed Abraham: No more shall Jacob be ashamed, And no more shall his face grow pale.
23 ௨௩ அவன் என் கரங்களின் செயலாகிய தன் பிள்ளைகளை தன் நடுவிலே காணும்போது, என் நாமத்தைப் பரிசுத்தப்படுத்துவார்கள்; யாக்கோபின் பரிசுத்தரை அவர்கள் பரிசுத்தப்படுத்தி, இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனுக்குப் பயப்படுவார்கள்.
For when his children behold the work of my hands in the midst of them, They shall honor my name. They shall honor the Holy One of Jacob, And reverence the God of Israel.
24 ௨௪ வழுவிப்போகிற மனதை உடையவர்கள் புத்திமான்களாகி, முறுமுறுக்கிறவர்கள் உபதேசம் கற்றுக்கொள்ளுவார்கள்.
They that erred in spirit shall come to understanding, And the obstinate shall receive instruction.
