ஏசாயா 14
1 ௧ யெகோவா யாக்கோபுக்கு இரங்கி, பின்னும் இஸ்ரவேலரைத் தெரிந்துகொண்டு, அவர்களை அவர்கள் தேசத்திலே குடியிருக்கச்செய்வார்; அந்நியரும் அவர்களுடன் சேர்ந்து, யாக்கோபின் வம்சத்துடன் இணைந்து கொள்வார்கள்.
For Yahweh will have compassion on Jacob, And will yet choose Israel, And will give them rest upon their own soil, —And the sojourner, shall join himself, unto them, And they shall attach themselves unto the house of Jacob;
2 ௨ மக்கள் அவர்களை அழைத்துக்கொண்டுபோய் அவர்கள் இடத்தில் விடுவார்கள்; இஸ்ரவேல் வம்சத்தார் யெகோவாவுடைய தேசத்திலே அவர்களை வேலைக்காரராகவும் வேலைக்காரிகளாகவும் வைத்துக்கொண்டு, தங்களைச் சிறையாக்கினவர்களைச் சிறையாக்கி, தங்களை ஒடுக்கினவர்களை ஆளுவார்கள்.
And peoples shall take them, and bring them into their own place, And the house of Israel shall possess themselves of them upon the soil of Yahweh for servants and for handmaids, —Thus shall they be taking captive their captors, And shall tread down their oppressors.
3 ௩ யெகோவா உன் துக்கத்தையும், உன் தவிப்பையும், நீ அடிமையாக்கப்பட்டிருந்த கடினமான அடிமைத்தனத்தையும் நீக்கி, உன்னை இளைப்பாறச் செய்யும் அக்காலத்திலே,
And it shall come to pass, in the day when Yahweh shall give thee rest from thy toil, and from thy disquiet, —and from the hard service which had been laid upon thee,
4 ௪ நீ பாபிலோன் ராஜாவின்மேல் சொல்லும் வாக்கியமாவது: ஒடுக்கினவன் ஒழிந்துபோனானே! தங்க நகரம் ஒழிந்துபோனதே!
that thou shalt take up this taunt over the king of Babylon, and shalt say: —How hath ceased the oppressor! Ceased the exactress!
Broke hath Yahweh the staff of the lawless, —The sceptre of despots;
6 ௬ மிகுந்த கோபங்கொண்டு ஓய்வில்லாமல் மக்களை அடித்து, கோபமாக மக்களை அரசாண்டவன், தடுக்க யாருமில்லாமல் துன்பப்படுத்தப்படுகிறான்.
Smiting peoples in passion With stroke unremitting, —Trampling, in anger, on nations, Persecution unhindered.
Quiet, at rest, the whole earth, —Men have burst into shouting!
8 ௮ தேவதாரு மரங்களும், லீபனோனின் கேதுருக்களும், உனக்காக சந்தோஷப்பட்டு, நீ விழுந்து கிடந்தது முதற்கொண்டு எங்களை வெட்டவருவார் ஒருவரும் இல்லை என்று சொல்கிறது.
Yea the pine-trees, make mirth at thee, Cedars of Lebanon, Since thou wast laid low, No feller hath come up against us!
9 ௯ கீழே இருக்கிற பாதாளம் உன்னைப்பார்த்து அதிர்ந்து, உன் வருகைக்கு எதிர்கொண்டு, பூமியில் அதிபதிகளாயிருந்து செத்த இராட்சதர் யாவரையும் உனக்காக எழுப்பி, மக்களுடைய எல்லா ராஜாக்களையும் அவர்களுடைய சிங்காசனங்களிலிருந்து எழுந்திருக்கச்செய்கிறது. (Sheol h7585)
Hades beneath, is excited about thee To meet thine arrival, —Rousing up, for thee Shades, All the he-goats of earth! Maketh rise from their thrones, All the kings of the nations. (Sheol h7585)
10 ௧0 அவர்களெல்லோரும் உன்னை நோக்கி: நீயும் எங்களைப்போல பலவீனாமானாயோ? எங்களுக்குச் சமமானாயோ? என்று சொல்வார்கள்.
All of them, answer, and say to thee, —Thou too, made strengthless, as we! Unto us, art thou like!
11 ௧௧ உன் ஆடம்பரமும், உன் வாத்தியங்களின் முழக்கமும் பாதாளத்தில் தள்ளுண்டுபோனது; புழுக்களே உன் படுக்கை, பூச்சிகளே உன் போர்வை. (Sheol h7585)
Brought down to Hades, thy pride. The hum of thy harps, Beneath thee, is spread out corruption, And, thy coverlet—worms! (Sheol h7585)
12 ௧௨ அதிகாலையின் மகனாகிய விடிவெள்ளியே, நீ வானத்திலிருந்து விழுந்தாயே! தேசங்களை கீழ்ப்படுத்தினவனே, நீ தரையிலே விழ வெட்டப்பட்டாயே!
How hast thou fallen from heaven, O Shining One—Son of the Dawn! Hewn down to the earth, O crusher of nations!
13 ௧௩ நான் வானத்திற்கு ஏறுவேன், தேவனுடைய நட்சத்திரங்களுக்கு மேலாக என் சிங்காசனத்தை உயர்த்துவேன்; வடபுறங்களிலுள்ள ஆராதனைக் கூட்டத்தின் மலையிலே வீற்றிருப்பேன் என்றும்,
Yet, thou, didst say in thy heart—The heavens, will I ascend, Above the stars of GOD, will I lift up my throne, —That I may sit in the Mount of Assembly In the Recesses of the North:
14 ௧௪ நான் மேகங்களுக்கு மேலாக வானங்களில் ஏறுவேன்; உன்னதமான தேவனுக்கு ஒப்பாவேன் என்றும் நீ உன் இருதயத்தில் சொன்னாயே.
I will mount on the hills of the clouds, I will match the Most High!
Howbeit, to Hades, shalt thou be brought down, —To the Recesses of the Pit! (Sheol h7585)
16 ௧௬ உன்னைக் காண்கிறவர்கள் உன்னை உற்றுப்பார்த்து, உன்னைக்குறித்துச் சிந்தித்து; இவன்தானா பூமியைத் தத்தளிக்கவும், தேசங்களை அதிரவும் செய்து,
They who see thee, upon thee, will gaze, Upon thee, will thoughtfully muse, —Is this the man who startled the earth? Who terrified kingdoms?
17 ௧௭ உலகத்தை வனாந்திரமாக்கி, அதின் நகரங்களை அழித்து, சிறைப்பட்டவர்களைத் தங்கள் வீடுகளுக்குப் போகவிடாமலிருந்தவன் என்பார்கள்.
Who made the world like a desert? And its cities, brake down? Its prisoners, he loosed not, Each one to his home?
All the kings of the nations—they all, are lying in state Each one in his crypt;
19 ௧௯ நீயோ அழுகிப்போன கிளையைப்போலவும், பட்டயக்குத்தால் கொலையுண்டவர்களின் ஆடையைப்போலவும், ஒரு குழியின் கற்களுக்குள்ளே கிடக்கிறவர்களைப்போலவும், காலால் மிதிக்கப்பட்ட பிணத்தைப்போலவும், உன் கல்லறைக்கு வெளியே எறிந்துவிடப்பட்டாய்.
But, thou, art flung out from thy grave, Like a scion detested, Beshrouded with slain, the pierced of the sword, Like a carcase trod underfoot:
20 ௨0 நீ அவர்களுடன் அடக்கம் செய்யப்படுவதில்லை; நீ உன் தேசத்தைக் கெடுத்து உன் மக்களைக் கொன்றுபோட்டாய்; தீமைசெய்கிறவர்களுடைய சந்ததி ஒருபோதும் கனமடைவதில்லை.
As for them who go down to the stones of the Pit, Thou shalt not be united with them in burial; For thy land, thou didst ruin Thy people, didst slay, —Unnamed to times age-abiding, Be the seed of the wicked!
21 ௨௧ அவன் சந்ததியார் எழும்பித் தேசத்தைச் சொந்தமாக்கிக்கொண்டு, உலகத்தைப் பட்டணங்களால் நிரப்பாமலிருக்க, அவர்கள் முன்னோர்களுடைய அக்கிரமத்திற்காக அவர்களைக் கொலைசெய்ய ஆயத்தம் செய்யுங்கள்.
Prepare—for his sons—shambles. For the iniquity of their fathers, —They shall not rise nor possess the earth, Nor fill the face of the world with cities.
22 ௨௨ நான் அவர்களுக்கு விரோதமாக எழும்புவேன் என்று சேனைகளின் யெகோவா சொல்கிறார்; பாபிலோனுடைய பெயரையும், அதில் மீதியாக இருக்கிறதையும், சந்ததியையும் பின்சந்ததியையும் அழிப்பேனென்று யெகோவா சொல்கிறார்.
I will rise. Then. against them, Declareth Yahweh of hosts, —And will cut off from Babylon Record and remnant And scion and seed, Declareth Yahweh.
23 ௨௩ அதை முள்ளம்பன்றிகளுக்குச் சொந்தமும், தண்ணீர் நிற்கும் பள்ளங்களுமாக்கி, அதை அழிவு என்னும் துடைப்பத்தினால் பெருக்கிவிடுவேன் என்று சேனைகளின் யெகோவா சொல்கிறார்.
And will make her a possession for the bittern, And marshes of water, —And will sweep it with the besom of destruction, Declareth Yahweh of hosts.
24 ௨௪ நான் நினைத்திருக்கிறபடியே நடக்கும்; நான் நிர்ணயித்தபடியே நிலைநிற்கும் என்று சேனைகளின் யெகோவா ஆணையிட்டுச் சொன்னார்.
Yahweh of hosts, hath sworn, saying, —Surely as I intended, so, hath it come to pass, And as I purposed, the same, shall stand: —
25 ௨௫ அசீரியனை என் தேசத்திலே முறித்து, என் மலைகளின்மேல் அவனை மிதித்துப்போடுவேன்; அப்பொழுது அவனுடைய நுகம் அவர்கள்மேலிருந்து விலகி, அவனுடைய சுமை அவர்கள் தோளிலிருந்து நீங்கும்.
That I will break in pieces the Assyrian in my land, Yea upon my mountains, will I tread him underfoot, —So shall be removed from off them his yoke, And his burden, from off their shoulder shall be removed.
26 ௨௬ தேசமனைத்தின்மேலும் நிர்ணயிக்கப்பட்ட யோசனை இதுவே; சகல தேசங்கள்மேலும் நீட்டப்பட்டிருக்கிற கையும் இதுவே என்றார்.
This, is the purpose that is purposed upon all the earth, —And, this, the hand outstretched over all the nations;
27 ௨௭ சேனைகளின் யெகோவா இப்படி நிர்ணயித்திருக்கிறார், யார் அதை வியர்த்தமாக்குவான்? அவருடைய கை நீட்டப்பட்டிருக்கிறது, யார் அதைத் திருப்புவான்?
For, Yahweh of hosts, hath purposed, —And who shall frustrate? And, his, is the hand outstretched, And who shall turn it back?
In the year that King Ahaz died, came this oracle: —
29 ௨௯ முழு பெலிஸ்தியாவே, உன்னை அடித்த கோல் முறிந்ததென்று சந்தோஷப்படாதே; பாம்பின் வேரிலிருந்து கட்டுவிரியன் தோன்றும்; அதின் கனி பறக்கிற அக்கினி சர்ப்பமாயிருக்கும்.
Do not rejoice, Philistia, any of thee, In that the rod of him that smote thee, is broken, —For, out of the root of the serpent, shall come forth, a viper, And his fruit be a fiery dragon that flieth.
30 ௩0 மிகவும் தரித்திரரின் தலைப் பிள்ளைகள் திருப்தியாகச் சாப்பிட்டு, எளியவர்கள் சுகமாகப் படுத்திருப்பார்கள்; உன் வேரைப் பஞ்சத்தினாலே சாகும்படிசெய்வேன், உன்னில் மீதியானவர்களை அவன் கொன்று போடுவான்.
Then shall feed the firstborn of the poor, And the needy, in confidence lie down, —And I will kill with famine thy root, And thy residue, shall be slain.
31 ௩௧ வாசலே அலறு; நகரமே கதறு; பெலிஸ்தியாவே, நீ முழுவதும் கரைந்து போகிறாய்; ஏனென்றால், வடக்கே இருந்து புகைக்காடாய் வருகிறான்; அவன் கூட்டங்களில் தனித்தவனில்லை.
Howl—O gate, Make outcry—O city, Dispersed art thou Philistia, all of thee, —For out of the north, a smoke cometh in, With no straggler in his ranks.
32 ௩௨ இப்போதும் இந்ததேசத்தின் பிரதிநிதிகளுக்கு என்ன பதில் சொல்லப்படும்? யெகோவா சீயோனை அஸ்திபாரப்படுத்தினார்; அவருடைய மக்களில் சிறுமையானவர்கள் அதிலே திடன்கொண்டு தங்குவார்கள் என்பதே.
What, then, shall one answer the messengers of a nation? That Yahweh, hath founded Zion, And in her, shall seek refuge the oppressed of his people.
