ஓசியா 4
1 ௧ இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களே, யெகோவாவுடைய வார்த்தையைக் கேளுங்கள்; தேசத்து மக்களோடு யெகோவாவுக்கு வழக்கு இருக்கிறது; அதேனென்றால் தேசத்திலே உண்மையும், இரக்கமும், தேவனைப்பற்றிய அறிவும் இல்லை.
Hear the word of the LORD, all of you children of Israel: for the LORD has a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.
2 ௨ பொய் சத்தியம் செய்து, பொய்சொல்லி, கொலைசெய்து, திருடி, விபசாரம்செய்து, மீறிப்போகிறார்கள்; இரத்தப்பழிகளோடே இரத்தப்பழிகள் சேருகிறது.
By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery, they break out, and blood touches blood.
3 ௩ இதினிமித்தம் தேசம் புலம்பும்; அதில் குடியிருக்கிற அனைவரோடுங்கூட மிருகஜீவன்களும் ஆகாயத்துப் பறவைகளும் துவண்டுபோகும்; கடலின் உயிரினங்களும் வாரிக்கொள்ளப்படும்.
Therefore shall the land mourn, and every one that dwells therein shall languish, with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven; yea, the fishes of the sea also shall be taken away.
4 ௪ ஆகிலும் ஒருவனும் நியாயத்தைக் காண்பிக்கவும், அவர்களைக் கடிந்துகொள்ளவும் முடியாது; உன் மக்கள் ஆசாரியனோடே வழக்காடுகிறவர்களைப்போல இருக்கிறார்கள்.
Yet let no man strive, nor reprove another: for your people are as they that strive with the priest.
5 ௫ ஆகையால் நீ பகலிலே இடறிவிழுவாய்; இரவிலே உன்னோடேகூடத் தீர்க்கதரிசியும் இடறிவிழுவான்; நான் உன் தாயை அழிப்பேன்.
Therefore shall you fall in the day, and the prophet also shall fall with you in the night, and I will destroy your mother.
6 ௬ என் மக்கள் அறிவில்லாததினால் அழிகிறார்கள்; நீ அறிவை வெறுத்தாய், ஆகையால் நீ என் ஆசாரியனாக இல்லாமலிருக்க நானும் உன்னை வெறுத்துவிடுவேன்; நீ உன் தேவனுடைய வேதத்தை மறந்தாய், ஆகையால் நானும் உன் பிள்ளைகளை மறந்துவிடுவேன்.
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you, that you shall be no priest to me: seeing you have forgotten the law of your God, I will also forget your children.
7 ௭ அவர்கள் எவ்வளவாகப் பெருகினார்களோ, அவ்வளவாக எனக்கு விரோதமாகப் பாவஞ்செய்தார்கள்; அவர்களுடைய மகிமையை வெட்கமாக மாறச்செய்வேன்.
As they were increased, so they sinned against me: therefore will I change their glory into shame.
8 ௮ அவர்கள் என் மக்களின் பாவத்தைச் சாப்பிட்டு, அவர்களுடைய அக்கிரமத்தின்மேல் பசிதாகமாக இருக்கிறார்கள்.
They eat up the sin of my people, and they set their heart on their iniquity.
9 ௯ ஆதலால் மக்களுக்கு எப்படியோ ஆசாரியனுக்கும் அப்படியே; அவர்கள் வழிகளின்படி நான் அவர்களை விசாரித்து, அவர்களுடைய செயல்களின்படி அவர்களுக்குப் பலனளிப்பேன்.
And there shall be, like people, like priest: and I will punish them for their ways, and reward them their doings.
10 ௧0 அவர்கள் யெகோவாவை மதிக்காமல் இருக்கிறதினால் அவர்கள் சாப்பிட்டாலும் திருப்தியடையாமல் இருப்பார்கள்; அவர்கள் விபசாரம் செய்தாலும் பெருகாமல் இருப்பார்கள்.
For they shall eat, and not have enough: they shall commit whoredom, and shall not increase: because they have left off to take heed to the LORD.
Whoredom and wine and new wine take away the heart.
12 ௧௨ என் மக்கள் மரக்கட்டையிடம் ஆலோசனை கேட்கிறார்கள்; அவர்களுடைய கைத்தடி அவர்களுக்குச் செய்தியை அறிவிக்குமென்று இருக்கிறார்கள்; வேசித்தன ஆவி அவர்களை வழிதப்பி அலையச்செய்தது; அவர்கள் தங்கள் தேவனுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிந்திராமல் விபச்சாரவழியில் போனார்கள்.
My people ask counsel at their stocks, and their staff declares unto them: for the spirit of whoredoms has caused them to go astray, and they have gone a whoring from under their God.
13 ௧௩ அவர்கள் மலையுச்சியில் பலியிட்டு, மேடுகளிலே கர்வாலிமரங்களின் கீழும், புன்னைமரங்களின் கீழும், அரசமரங்களின் கீழும், அவைகளின் நிழல் நல்லதென்று, தூபங்காட்டுகிறார்கள்; இதனால் உங்களுடைய மகள்கள் வேசித்தனமும், உங்கள் மருமக்கள்கள் விபசாரமும் செய்கிறார்கள்.
They sacrifice upon the tops of the mountains, and burn incense upon the hills, under oaks and poplars and elms, because the shadow thereof is good: therefore your daughters shall commit whoredom, and your spouses shall commit adultery.
14 ௧௪ உங்கள் மகள்கள் வேசித்தனம் செய்கிறதினாலும், உங்கள் மருமக்கள்கள் விபசாரம் செய்கிறதினாலும், நான் அவர்களை தண்டிக்காமல் இருப்பேனோ? அவர்கள் விலகி விபச்சாரிகளோடே கூடப்போய் தாசிகளோடே பலியிடுகிறார்கள்; உணர்வில்லாத மக்கள் அதினால் அகப்பட்டு விழுவார்கள்.
I will not punish your daughters when they commit whoredom, nor your spouses when they commit adultery: for themselves are separated with whores, and they sacrifice with harlots: therefore the people that does not understand shall fall.
15 ௧௫ இஸ்ரவேலே, நீ என்னைவிட்டுப் போனாலும், யூதாவாகிலும் அந்தப் பாவத்திற்கு உட்படாதிருப்பதாக; கில்காலுக்கு வராமலும், பெத்தாவேனுக்குப் போகாமலும், யெகோவாவுடைய ஜீவன்மேல் என்று ஆணையிடாமலும் இருப்பீர்களாக.
Though you, Israel, play the harlot, yet let not Judah offend; and come not all of you unto Gilgal, neither go all of you up to Bethaven, nor swear, The LORD lives.
16 ௧௬ இஸ்ரவேல் அடங்காத கிடாரியைப்போல அடங்காதிருக்கிறது; இப்போது யெகோவா அவர்களை விசாலமான வெளியிலே ஆட்டுக்குட்டியைப்போல் மேய்ந்து அலையச் செய்வார்.
For Israel slides back as a backsliding heifer: now the LORD will feed them as a lamb in a large place.
Ephraim is joined to idols: let him alone.
18 ௧௮ அவர்களுடைய மதுபானம் புளித்தது, அவர்கள் எப்போதும் வழிவிலகிப்போகிறார்கள்; அவர்களுடைய அதிபதிகள் தாருங்களென்று வெட்கமானதை நாடுகிறார்கள்.
Their drink is sour: they have committed whoredom continually: her rulers with shame do love, Give all of you.
The wind has bound her up in her wings, and they shall be ashamed because of their sacrifices.
