எபிரேயர் 6
1 ௧ ஆகவே, கிறிஸ்துவைப்பற்றிச் சொல்லிய அடிப்படை உபதேசவசனங்களை நாம்விட்டுவிட்டு, செத்த செய்கைகளைவிட்டு மனம்திரும்புதல், தேவன்மேல் வைக்கும் விசுவாசம்,
WHEREFORE, desisting from initiatory discourse respecting Christ, let us advance towards perfection; not again laying a foundation of repentance from dead works, and faith in God,
2 ௨ ஞானஸ்நான உபதேசம், கரங்களை வைத்தல், மரித்தோரின் உயிர்த்தெழுதல், நித்திய நியாயத்தீர்ப்பு என்ற உபதேசங்களாகிய அஸ்திபாரத்தை மீண்டும் போடாமல், தேறினவர்களாகும்படி கடந்துபோவோம். (aiōnios g166)
of the doctrine of ablutions, and of imposition of hands, and of the resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. (aiōnios g166)
And so we will do, if God permit.
4 ௪ ஏனென்றால், ஒருமுறை பிரகாசிக்கப்பட்டும், பரலோக பரிசை ருசிபார்த்தும், பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவரைப் பெற்றும்,
For it is not possible to renew again unto repentance those who have been once illuminated, and have tasted the celestial gift, and have been made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
and have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, (aiōn g165)
6 ௬ மறுதலித்துப்போனவர்கள், தேவனுடைய குமாரனைத் தாங்களே மீண்டும் சிலுவையில் அறைந்து அவமானப்படுத்துகிறதினால், மனந்திரும்புவதற்காக அவர்களை மீண்டும் புதுப்பிக்கிறது முடியாதகாரியம்.
and yet have fallen away: for they crucify again to themselves the Son of God, and expose him to public infamy.
7 ௭ எப்படியென்றால், தன்மேல் அடிக்கடி பெய்கிற மழைநீரைக் குடித்து, தன்னிடம் பயிரிடுகிறவர்களுக்குத் தேவையான பயிரை முளைப்பிக்கும் நிலமானது தேவனால் ஆசீர்வாதம் பெறும்.
For the earth which imbibes the rain which often falls upon it, and bringeth forth herbage suitable for those by whom it is cultured, receiveth a blessing from God;
8 ௮ முள்செடிகளையும் முள்பூண்டுகளையும் முளைப்பிக்கிற நிலமோ மதிப்பில்லாததும், சபிக்கப்படுகிறதாகவும் இருக்கிறது; சுட்டெரிக்கப்படுவதே அதின் முடிவு.
but if it produceth thorns and thistles, it is abandoned, and near the curse of barrenness, whose end will be for burning.
9 ௯ பிரியமானவர்களே, நாங்கள் இப்படிச் சொன்னாலும், நன்மையானவைகளும் இரட்சிப்பிற்குரிய காரியங்களும் உங்களிடம் உண்டாயிருக்கிறதென்று நம்பியிருக்கிறோம்.
But, beloved, we are persuaded concerning you that things are better, and connected with salvation, though we thus speak.
10 ௧0 ஏனென்றால், உங்களுடைய செயல்களையும், நீங்கள் பரிசுத்தவான்களுக்கு ஊழியம் செய்ததினாலும், செய்து வருகிறதினாலும் அவருடைய நாமத்திற்காகக் காண்பித்த உங்களுடைய அன்பையும் மறந்துவிடுகிறதற்கு தேவன் அநீதியுள்ளவர் இல்லையே.
For God is not unjust, to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have demonstrated in his name, having ministered assistance to the saints, and still ministering.
11 ௧௧ நீங்கள் அசதியாக இல்லாமல், வாக்குத்தத்தமான ஆசீர்வாதங்களை விசுவாசத்தினாலும் அதிக பொறுமையினாலும் சுதந்தரித்துக்கொள்ளுகிறவர்களைப் பின்பற்றுகிறவர்களாக இருந்து,
But we earnestly desire that every one of you do manifest the same diligence, in order to obtain the full assurance of hope unto the end:
12 ௧௨ உங்களுக்கு நம்பிக்கையின் பூரணநிச்சயம் உண்டாக நீங்கள் எல்லோரும் முடிவுவரைக்கும் அதிக கவனத்தைக் காண்பிக்கவேண்டும் என்று ஆசையாக இருக்கிறோம்.
that ye be not slothful, but imitators of those who, by faith and long suffering, are inheriting the promises.
13 ௧௩ ஆபிரகாமுக்கு தேவன் வாக்குத்தத்தம்பண்ணினபோது, ஆணையிடுவதற்கு தம்மைவிட பெரியவர் ஒருவரும் இல்லாததினாலே தமது நாமத்தினாலே ஆணையிட்டு:
For God when he gave the promise to Abraham forasmuch as he had nothing greater to swear by, sware by himself,
saying, “Verily, blessing, I will bless thee, and multiplying, I will multiply thee.”
And so after long patient waiting he obtained the promise.
16 ௧௬ மனிதர்கள் தங்களைவிட பெரியவர்கள் பெயரில் ஆணையிடுவார்கள்; எல்லா விவாதங்களிலும் உறுதிப்படுத்துவதற்கு ஆணையிடுதலே முடிவு.
For men indeed swear by something greater than themselves; and an oath for confirmation is with them conclusive in all disputes.
17 ௧௭ அப்படியே, தேவனும் வாக்குத்தத்தம்பண்ணப்பட்டவைகளைச் சுதந்தரித்துக்கொள்ளுகிறவர்களுக்குத் தமது ஆலோசனையின் மாறாத நிச்சயத்தைப் பரிபூரணமாகக் காண்பிக்க விருப்பம் உள்ளவராக, ஒரு ஆணையினாலே அதை உறுதிப்படுத்தினார்.
And thus God, designing more abundantly to demonstrate to the heirs of promise the immutability of his will, pledged himself by oath,
18 ௧௮ நமக்கு முன்பாக வைக்கப்பட்ட நம்பிக்கையைப் பற்றிக்கொள்வதற்கு அடைக்கலமாக ஓடிவந்த நமக்கு இரண்டு மாறாத விசேஷங்களினால் நிறைந்த ஆறுதல் உண்டாவதற்கு, கொஞ்சம்கூட பொய் சொல்லாத தேவன் அப்படிச் செய்தார்.
that by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold on the hope set before us;
19 ௧௯ அந்த நம்பிக்கை நமக்கு நிலையானதும், ஆத்துமாக்களுக்கு உறுதியான நங்கூரமாகவும், திரைக்குப் பின்னே மகா பரிசுத்த இடத்திற்குள் பிரவேசிக்கிறதாகவும் இருக்கிறது.
which, as an anchor for our soul, we hold both sure and stedfast, and entering into the sanctuary within the vail,
