எபிரேயர் 3
1 ௧ இப்படியிருக்க, பரலோக அழைப்புக்குப் பங்குள்ளவர்களாகிய பரிசுத்த சகோதரர்களே, நாம் அறிக்கைபண்ணுகிற அப்போஸ்தலர்களும் பிரதான ஆசாரியருமாக இருக்கிற கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவைக் கவனித்துப்பாருங்கள்;
Therefore, holy brothers, you share in a heavenly calling. Think about Jesus, the apostle and high priest of our confession.
2 ௨ மோசே தேவனுடைய வீட்டில் எல்லாவற்றிலும் உண்மையுள்ளவனாக இருந்ததுபோல இவரும் தம்மை நியமித்தவருக்கு உண்மையுள்ளவராக இருந்தார்.
He was faithful to God, who appointed him, just as Moses was also faithful in God's house.
3 ௩ வீட்டைக் கட்டுகிறவன் வீட்டைவிட அதிக கனத்திற்குரியவனாக இருக்கிறான்; அதுபோல மோசேயைவிட இவர் அதிக மகிமைக்குத் தகுதியானவராக இருக்கிறார்.
For Jesus has been considered worthy of greater glory than Moses, because the one who builds a house has more honor than the house itself.
For every house is built by someone, but the one who built everything is God.
5 ௫ சொல்லப்படப்போகிற காரியங்களுக்குச் சாட்சியாக, மோசே பணிவிடைக்காரனாக, தேவனுடைய வீட்டில் எல்லாவற்றிலும் உண்மையுள்ளவனாக இருந்தான்.
For Moses was faithful as a servant in God's entire house, bearing witness about the things that were to be spoken of in the future.
6 ௬ கிறிஸ்துவோ தேவனுடைய வீட்டில் அதிகாரமுள்ள மகனாக உண்மையுள்ளவராக இருக்கிறார்; நம்பிக்கையினாலே உண்டாகும் தைரியத்தையும் மேன்மைபாராட்டலையும் முடிவுவரைக்கும் உறுதியாகப் பற்றிக்கொண்டிருப்போம் என்றால், நாமே அவருடைய வீடாக இருப்போம்.
But Christ is faithful as a Son who is in charge of God's house. We are his house if we hold fast to our courage and the hope of which we boast.
Therefore, it is just as the Holy Spirit says: “Today, if you hear his voice
8 ௮ வனாந்திரத்திலே கோபமூட்டினபோதும், சோதனைநாளிலும் நடந்ததுபோல, உங்களுடைய இருதயங்களைக் கடினப்படுத்தாமல் இருங்கள்.
do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, in the time of testing in the wilderness.
9 ௯ அங்கே உங்களுடைய முற்பிதாக்கள் என்னைச் சோதித்து, என்னைப் பரீட்சைபார்த்து, நாற்பது வருடகாலங்கள் என் செய்கைகளைப் பார்த்தார்கள்.
This was when your ancestors rebelled by testing me, and when, during forty years, they saw my deeds.
10 ௧0 எனவே, நான் அந்த வம்சத்தாரை வெறுத்து, அவர்கள் எப்பொழுதும் வழுவிப்போகிற இருதயமுள்ள மக்களென்றும், என்னுடைய வழிகளைத் தெரியாதவர்களென்றும் சொல்லி;
Therefore I was displeased with that generation. I said, 'They have always gone astray in their hearts. They have not known my ways.'
11 ௧௧ என்னுடைய இளைப்பாறுதலில் அவர்கள் பிரவேசிக்கமாட்டார்கள் என்று என்னுடைய கோபத்திலே ஆணையிட்டேன் என்றார்.
It is just as I swore in my anger: 'They will never enter my rest.'”
12 ௧௨ சகோதரர்களே, ஜீவனுள்ள தேவனைவிட்டு விலகுவதற்கான அவிசுவாசமுள்ள பொல்லாத இருதயம் உங்களில் யாருக்கும் இல்லாதபடி நீங்கள் எச்சரிக்கையாக இருங்கள்.
Be careful, brothers, so that among you there will not be anyone with an evil heart of unbelief, a heart that turns away from the living God.
13 ௧௩ உங்களில் ஒருவரும் பாவத்தின் ஏமாற்றுதலினாலே கடினப்பட்டுப்போகாமல் இருக்க, இன்று என்று சொல்லப்படும் நாள்வரை ஒவ்வொருநாளும் ஒருவருக்கொருவர் புத்திசொல்லுங்கள்.
Instead, encourage one another daily, as long as it is called “today,” so that no one among you will be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.
14 ௧௪ நாம் ஆரம்பத்திலே கொண்ட நம்பிக்கையை முடிவுவரைக்கும் உறுதியாகப் பிடித்துக்கொண்டிருப்போமானால், கிறிஸ்துவிடம் பங்குள்ளவர்களாக இருப்போம்.
For we have become partners of Christ if we firmly hold to our confidence in him from the beginning to the end.
15 ௧௫ இன்று அவருடைய சத்தத்தைக் கேட்பீர்களானால், கோபமூட்டுதலில் நடந்ததுபோல உங்களுடைய இருதயங்களைக் கடினப்படுத்தாமல் இருங்கள் என்று சொல்லியிருக்கிறதே.
About this it has been said, “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts, as in the rebellion.”
16 ௧௬ கேட்டவர்களில் கோபமூட்டினவர்கள் யார்? மோசேயினால் எகிப்திலிருந்து புறப்பட்ட எல்லோரும் அப்படிச் செய்தார்களல்லவா?
Who was it who heard God and rebelled? Was it not all those who came out of Egypt through Moses?
17 ௧௭ மேலும், அவர் நாற்பது வருடங்களாக யாரை வெறுத்தார்? பாவம் செய்தவர்களைத்தானே? அவர்களுடைய மரித்த சடலங்கள் வனாந்திரத்தில் விழுந்துபோனதே.
With whom was he angry for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose dead bodies fell in the wilderness?
18 ௧௮ பின்னும், என்னுடைய இளைப்பாறுதலில் பிரவேசிக்கமாட்டார்கள் என்று அவர் யாரைப்பற்றி ஆணையிட்டார்? கீழ்ப்படியாதவர்களைப்பற்றித்தானே?
To whom did he swear that they would not enter his rest, if it was not to those who disobeyed him?
We see that they were not able to enter his rest because of unbelief.
