கலாத்தியர் 2
1 ௧ பதினான்கு வருடங்களுக்குப்பின்பு, நான் தீத்துவைக் கூட்டிக்கொண்டு, பர்னபாவோடு மீண்டும் எருசலேமுக்குப் போனேன்.
Fourteen years later I went up to Jerusalem again, with Barnabas, and took Titus also with me
2 ௨ நான் தேவ அறிவிப்பினாலே அங்குபோய், யூதரல்லாத மக்களுக்கு நான் பிரசங்கிக்கிற நற்செய்தியை அவர்களுக்கு விளக்கிச் சொன்னேன்; ஆனாலும் நான் ஓடுகிறதும், ஓடினதும் வீணாகப் போகாதபடி சபையை நடத்துகிற தலைவர்களுக்கே தனிமையாக விளக்கிச் சொன்னேன்.
(I went up at that time in obedience to a revelation). And I laid before them the gospel which I am wont to preach among the Gentiles. I did this privately before those in authority, lest by any means I should be running, or should already have run, in vain.
3 ௩ ஆனாலும் என்னோடு இருந்த தீத்து கிரேக்கனாக இருந்தும் விருத்தசேதனம்பண்ணிக்கொள்ளுவதற்குக் கட்டாயப்படுத்தப்படவில்லை.
But although Titus, my companion, was a Greek, they did not compel even him to be circumcised.
4 ௪ கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவிற்குள் நமக்கு உண்டான சுதந்திரத்தை உளவுபார்த்து நம்மை நியாயப்பிரமாணத்திற்கு அடிமைகளாக்குவதற்காக குறுக்குவழியாக நுழைந்த கள்ளச் சகோதரர்களினால் அப்படியானது.
Yet there were false brethren who had crept in to spy out the freedom we enjoy in Christ Jesus, in order to enslave us again.
5 ௫ நற்செய்தியாகிய சத்தியம் உங்களிடம் மாறாமல் நிலைத்திருப்பதற்காக, நாங்கள் ஒருமணிநேரம் கூட அவர்களுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிந்து இணங்கவில்லை.
To them we did not yield submission even for an hour, in order that the truth of the gospel might abide unshaken among you.
6 ௬ அல்லாமலும் அங்கிருந்த சபைத் தலைவர்கள் எனக்கு ஒன்றும் போதிக்கவில்லை; அவர்கள் எப்படிப்பட்டவர்களாக இருந்தாலும் எனக்குக் கவலையில்லை. தேவன் மனிதர்களிடம் பட்சபாதம் உள்ளவர் இல்லையே.
But those in authority - what they once were makes no difference to me; God is no respecter of persons - those I say who were in authority had no additions to make my message.
7 ௭ அதுமட்டுமல்லாமல், விருத்தசேதனம் உள்ளவர்களுக்கு அப்போஸ்தலனாக இருப்பதற்காக பேதுருவைப் பலப்படுத்தினவர், யூதரல்லாத மக்களுக்கு அப்போஸ்தலனாக இருப்பதற்காக என்னையும் பலப்படுத்தினதினால்,
On the contrary, when they saw that I had been entrusted with the gospel for the uncircumcised, just as Peter has with the gospel for the circumcised
8 ௮ விருத்தசேதனம் உள்ளவர்களுக்கு நற்செய்தியைப் பிரசங்கிப்பதற்காக பேதுருவிற்கு அதிகாரம் கொடுக்கப்பட்டதுபோல, விருத்தசேதனம் இல்லாதவர்களுக்குப் பிரசங்கிப்பதற்காக எனக்கும் அதிகாரம் கொடுக்கப்பட்டதென்று அவர்கள் பார்த்து;
(for he who has equipped Peter for the apostleship to the circumcised, equipped me also for the apostleship to the Gentiles),
9 ௯ எனக்குக் கொடுக்கப்பட்ட கிருபையை அறிந்தபோது, தூண்களாக நினைக்கப்பட்ட யாக்கோபும், கேபாவும், யோவானும், தாங்கள் விருத்தசேதனம் உள்ளவர்களுக்கும், நாங்கள் யூதரல்லாத மக்களுக்கும் பிரசங்கிப்பதற்காக, நெருங்கிய ஐக்கியத்திற்கு அடையாளமாக எனக்கும் பர்னபாவிற்கும் வலது கரம் கொடுத்து,
and when they recognized the grace which had been given to me, James and Cephas and John, then thought to be pillars, gave to Barnabas and to me the right hand of fellowship. They agreed that we should go to the Gentiles and they to the Jews.
10 ௧0 ஏழைகளை நினைத்துக்கொள்ளச் சொன்னார்கள்; அப்படிச் செய்வதற்காக அதற்கு முன்னமே நானும் ஆவலாக இருந்தேன்.
They stipulated only that we should remember the poor, which very thing indeed I was quite eager to do.
11 ௧௧ மேலும், பேதுரு அந்தியோகியாவிற்கு வந்தபோது, அவன்மேல் குற்றஞ்சுமத்தினால், நான் அவனை முகமுகமாக எதிர்த்தேன்.
But when Cephas came to Antioch I resisted him to his face, because he stood self-condemned.
12 ௧௨ எப்படியென்றால், யாக்கோபினிடமிருந்து சிலர் வருகிறதற்கு முன்பே அவன் யூதரல்லாத மக்களோடு சாப்பிட்டான்; அவர்கள் வந்தபோதோ, விருத்தசேதனம் உள்ளவர்களுக்குப் பயந்து, விலகிப் பிரிந்தான்.
For until certain men came from James he used to eat with the Gentile Christians, but when they came, he began to draw back and to separate himself, because he was afraid of the circumcision party.
13 ௧௩ மற்ற யூதர்களும் அவனோடுகூட இணைந்து மாய்மாலம்பண்ணினார்கள்; அவர்களுடைய மாய்மாலத்தினாலே பர்னபாவும் ஈர்க்கப்பட்டான்.
And the rest of the Jewish Christians also dissimulated with him, so that even Barnabas was carried away by their hypocrisy.
14 ௧௪ இப்படி அவர்கள் நற்செய்தியின் சத்தியத்தின்படி சரியாக நடக்காததை நான் பார்த்தபோது, எல்லோருக்கும் முன்பாக நான் பேதுருவைப் பார்த்து சொன்னது என்னவென்றால்: யூதனாக இருக்கிற நீ யூதர்கள் முறைப்படி நடக்காமல், யூதரல்லாதவர்களின் முறைப்படி நடந்து கொண்டிருக்க, யூதரல்லாதோரை யூதர்கள் முறைப்படி நடக்கச்சொல்லி நீ எப்படிக் கட்டாயப்படுத்தலாம்?
But when I saw that they were not walking a straight path, in the presence of the truth of the gospel, I said to Cephas before them all. "If you, although you are a Jew, live like the Gentiles and not like the Jews, why do you try to compel the Gentiles to become Jews?
15 ௧௫ யூதரல்லாதவர்களில் பிறந்த பாவிகளாக இல்லாமல், பிறப்பின்படி யூதர்களாக இருக்கிற நாமும் இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவிற்குள் உள்ள விசுவாசத்தினாலேதவிர, நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தின் செய்கைகளினாலே மனிதன் நீதிமானாக்கப்படுவது இல்லை என்று அறிந்து, நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தின் செய்கைகளினால் இல்லை, கிறிஸ்துவிற்குள் உள்ள விசுவாசத்தினாலே நீதிமான்களாக்கப்படுவதற்குக் கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவின்மேல் விசுவாசிகளானோம்.
"We are Jews by birth, and not ‘Gentile sinners’;
"yet because we know that no man is justified by the works of the Law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, we ourselves also have put our faith in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the Law; for "By the works of the Law shall no flesh be justified."
17 ௧௭ கிறிஸ்துவிற்குள் நீதிமான்களாக்கப்படுவதற்கு விரும்புகிற நாமும் பாவிகளாக இருப்போமென்றால், கிறிஸ்து பாவத்திற்குக் காரணரோ? இல்லையே.
But if while seeking to be justified in Christ we ourselves also have been found to be sinners, is Christ then a minister of sin? Far from it!
For if I am rebuilding the very things which I destroyed, I am proving myself a transgressor.
For it is through law I died to law, in order to live to God.
20 ௨0 கிறிஸ்துவோடு சிலுவையில் அறையப்பட்டேன்; ஆனாலும், பிழைத்திருக்கிறேன்; இனி நான் இல்லை, கிறிஸ்துவே எனக்குள் பிழைத்திருக்கிறார்; நான் இப்பொழுது சரீரத்தில் பிழைத்திருக்கிறதோ, என்மேல் அன்புவைத்து எனக்காகத் தம்மைத்தாமே ஒப்புக்கொடுத்த தேவனுடைய குமாரன்மேல் உள்ள விசுவாசத்தினாலே பிழைத்திருக்கிறேன்.
I have been crucified with Christ, so it is no longer I who am living, but it is Christ who is living in me; and the life I am now living in the flesh, I am living in faith of the Son of God who loved me and gave himself up for me.
21 ௨௧ நான் தேவனுடைய கிருபையை வீணாக்குகிறதில்லை; நீதியானது நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தினாலே வருமென்றால் கிறிஸ்து மரித்தது வீணாயிருக்குமே.
I do not annul the grace of God; for if righteousness comes by way of the Law, then indeed Christ died Christ for nothing.
