எசேக்கியேல் 8
1 ௧ பாபிலோனின் சிறையிருப்பின் ஆறாம் வருடத்தின் ஆறாம் மாதம் ஐந்தாம்தேதியிலே, நான் என்னுடைய வீட்டில் உட்கார்ந்திருக்கிறபோதும், யூதாவின் மூப்பர்கள் எனக்கு முன்பாக உட்கார்ந்திருக்கிறபோதும், யெகோவாகிய ஆண்டவருடைய கரம் அங்கே என்மேல் அமர்ந்தது.
In the sixth year, in the sixth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I sat in my house, and the elders of Judah sat before me, the Lord GOD’s hand fell on me there.
2 ௨ அப்பொழுது இதோ, அக்கினிச்சாயலாகத் தோன்றுகிற ஒருவரைக் கண்டேன்; அவருடைய இடுப்புக்குக் கீழெல்லாம் அக்கினியும் அவருடைய இடுப்புக்கு மேலெல்லாம் உருகிப்பிரகாசிக்கிற உலோகத்தின் சாயலுமாக இருந்தது.
Then I saw, and behold, a likeness as the appearance of fire—from the appearance of his waist and downward, fire, and from his waist and upward, as the appearance of brightness, as it were glowing metal.
3 ௩ கைபோல் தோன்றினதை அவர் நீட்டி, என்னுடைய தலைமயிரைப் பிடித்து என்னைத் தூக்கினார்; தேவ ஆவியானவர் என்னைப் பூமிக்கும் வானத்திற்கும் நடுவே கொண்டுபோய், தேவதரிசனத்திலே என்னை எருசலேமில் வடக்குதிசைக்கு எதிரான உள்வாசலின் நடையிலே விட்டார்; அங்கே எரிச்சல் உண்டாக்குகிற விக்கிரகத்தின் இடம் இருந்தது.
He stretched out the form of a hand, and took me by a lock of my head; and the Spirit lifted me up between earth and the sky, and brought me in the visions of God to Jerusalem, to the door of the gate of the inner court that looks toward the north, where there was the seat of the image of jealousy, which provokes to jealousy.
4 ௪ இதோ, நான் பள்ளத்தாக்கிலே கண்டிருந்த தரிசனத்திற்குச் சரியாக இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனுடைய மகிமை அங்கே விளங்கினது.
Behold, the glory of the God of Israel was there, according to the appearance that I saw in the plain.
5 ௫ அவர் என்னைப் பார்த்து: மனிதகுமாரனே, உன்னுடைய கண்களை ஏறெடுத்து, வடக்கே பார் என்றார்; அப்பொழுது நான் என்னுடைய கண்களை ஏறெடுத்து, வடக்கே பார்த்தேன்; இதோ, பலிபீடத்தின் வாசலுக்கு வடக்கே பார்த்தேன்; முன்வாசலிலே எரிச்சல் உண்டாக்குகிற அந்த விக்கிரகம் இருந்தது.
Then he said to me, “Son of man, lift up your eyes now the way toward the north.” So I lifted up my eyes the way toward the north, and saw, northward of the gate of the altar this image of jealousy in the entry.
6 ௬ அவர் என்னை நோக்கி: மனிதகுமாரனே, அவர்கள் செய்கிறதைக் காண்கிறாயா? என்னுடைய பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்தைவிட்டு என்னைத் தூரமாகப் போகச்செய்யும்படியான இஸ்ரவேல் வம்சத்தார் இங்கே செய்கிற மிகுந்த அருவருப்புகளைக் காண்கிறாய் அல்லவா? இதிலும் அதிக அருவருப்புகளை இன்னமும் காண்பாய் என்று சொல்லி,
He said to me, “Son of man, do you see what they do? Even the great abominations that the house of Israel commit here, that I should go far off from my sanctuary? But you will again see yet other great abominations.”
He brought me to the door of the court; and when I looked, behold, a hole in the wall.
8 ௮ அவர் என்னை நோக்கி: மனிதகுமாரனே, நீ சுவரிலே துவாரமிடு என்றார்; நான் சுவரிலே துவாரமிட்டபோது, இதோ, ஒரு வாசல் இருந்தது.
Then he said to me, “Son of man, dig now in the wall.” When I had dug in the wall, I saw a door.
He said to me, “Go in, and see the wicked abominations that they do here.”
10 ௧0 நான் உள்ளே போய்ப் பார்த்தபோது, இதோ, எல்லாவித ஊரும் உயிரினங்களும் அருவருப்பான மிருகங்களுமாகிய இவைகளின் உருவங்களும், இஸ்ரவேல் வம்சத்தாருடைய அசுத்தமான எல்லா சிலைகளும் சுவரில் சுற்றிலும் செதுக்கப்பட்டிருந்தன.
So I went in and looked, and saw every form of creeping things, abominable animals, and all the idols of the house of Israel, portrayed around on the wall.
11 ௧௧ இஸ்ரவேலின் மூப்பர்களில் எழுபதுபேரும், அவர்களின் நடுவிலே சாப்பானுடைய மகனாகிய யசனியாவும், அவனவன் தன்தன் கையிலே தன்தன் தூபகலசத்தைப் பிடித்துக்கொண்டு, அவைகளுக்கு முன்பாக நின்றார்கள்; தூபவர்க்கத்தினால் மிகுந்த புகை எழும்பிற்று.
Seventy men of the elders of the house of Israel stood before them. In the middle of them Jaazaniah the son of Shaphan stood, every man with his censer in his hand; and the smell of the cloud of incense went up.
12 ௧௨ அப்பொழுது அவர் என்னை நோக்கி: மனிதகுமாரனே, இஸ்ரவேலர்களின் மூப்பர்கள் அந்தகாரத்திலே அவரவர் தங்களுடைய சிலைகளின் சித்திர விநோத அறைகளில் செய்கிறதை நீ கண்டாயா? யெகோவா எங்களைப் பார்க்கிறதில்லை; யெகோவா தேசத்தைக் கைவிட்டார் என்று சொல்லுகிறார்களே என்றார்.
Then he said to me, “Son of man, have you seen what the elders of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in his rooms of imagery? For they say, ‘The LORD does not see us. The LORD has forsaken the land.’”
He said also to me, “You will again see more of the great abominations which they do.”
14 ௧௪ என்னைக் யெகோவாவுடைய ஆலயத்து வடக்கு வாசலின் நடையிலே கொண்டுபோனார்; இதோ, அங்கே தம்மூசுக்காக அழுதுகொண்டிருக்கிற பெண்கள் உட்கார்ந்திருந்தார்கள்.
Then he brought me to the door of the gate of the LORD’s house which was toward the north; and I saw the women sit there weeping for Tammuz.
15 ௧௫ அப்பொழுது அவர்: மனிதகுமாரனே, இதைக் கண்டாயா? இதிலும் அதிக அருவருப்புகளை இன்னமும் காண்பாய் என்று என்னுடனே சொல்லி,
Then he said to me, “Have you seen this, son of man? You will again see yet greater abominations than these.”
16 ௧௬ என்னைக் யெகோவாவுடைய ஆலயத்தின் உள்முற்றத்திற்கு கொண்டுபோனார்; இதோ, யெகோவாவுடைய ஆலயத்தின் வாசல் நடையிலே மண்டபத்திற்கும் பலிபீடத்திற்கும் நடுவே, ஏறக்குறைய இருபத்தைந்து ஆண்கள், தங்களுடைய முதுகைக் யெகோவாவுடைய ஆலயத்திற்கும் தங்களுடைய முகத்தைக் கிழக்குத்திசைக்கும் நேராகத் திருப்பினவர்களாகக் கிழக்கே இருக்கும் சூரியனை வணங்கினார்கள்.
He brought me into the inner court of the LORD’s house; and I saw at the door of the LORD’s temple, between the porch and the altar, there were about twenty-five men with their backs toward the LORD’s temple and their faces toward the east. They were worshiping the sun toward the east.
17 ௧௭ அப்பொழுது அவர் என்னை நோக்கி: மனிதகுமாரனே, இதைக் கண்டாயா? இங்கே யூதா வம்சத்தார் செய்கிற அருவருப்புகள் அற்பமான காரியமா? அவர்களுடைய தேசத்தைக் கொடுமையினால் நிரப்பி என்னை அடிக்கடி கோபமூட்டுகிறார்கள்; இதோ, அவர்கள் திராட்சைக்கிளையைத் தங்களுடைய மூக்கிற்கு நேராகப் பிடிக்கிறார்கள்.
Then he said to me, “Have you seen this, son of man? Is it a light thing to the house of Judah that they commit the abominations which they commit here? For they have filled the land with violence, and have turned again to provoke me to anger. Behold, they put the branch to their nose.
18 ௧௮ ஆகையால் நானும் கடுங்கோபத்துடன் காரியத்தை நடத்துவேன்; என்னுடைய கண் தப்பவிடுவதில்லை, நான் இரங்குவதில்லை; அவர்கள் மகா சத்தமாக என்னுடைய காதுகள் கேட்கக் கூப்பிட்டாலும் அவர்களுக்கு நான் கேட்பதில்லை என்றார்.
Therefore I will also deal in wrath. My eye will not spare, neither will I have pity. Though they cry in my ears with a loud voice, yet I will not hear them.”
