எசேக்கியேல் 14
Then certain of the elders of Israel came to me, and sat before me.
And the word of Jehovah came to me, saying,
3 ௩ மனிதகுமாரனே, இந்த மனிதர்கள் தங்களுடைய அசுத்தமான சிலைகளைத் தங்களுடைய இருதயத்தின்மேல் நாட்டி, தங்களுடைய அக்கிரமமாகிய இடறலைத் தங்களுடைய முகத்திற்கு முன்பாக வைத்துகொண்டிருக்கிறார்களே; இவர்கள் என்னிடத்தில் விசாரிக்கத்தகுமா?
Son of man, these men have taken their idols into their heart, and put the stumbling block of their iniquity before their face. Should I be inquired of at all by them?
4 ௪ ஆகையால், நீ அவர்களுடன் பேசிச்சொல்லவேண்டியது என்னவென்றால்: இஸ்ரவேல் வம்சத்தாரில் தன்னுடைய அசுத்தமான சிலைகளைத் தன்னுடைய இருதயத்தின்மேல் நாட்டி, தன்னுடைய அக்கிரமமாகிய இடறலைத் தன்னுடைய முகத்திற்கு முன்பாக வைத்துக்கொண்டிருக்கிற எவனாவது தீர்க்கதரிசியிடம் வந்தால், யெகோவாகிய நான் இஸ்ரவேலர்களுடைய இருதயத்தில் இருக்கிறதைப் பிடிக்கும்படியாக அப்படிப்பட்டவனுடைய அசுத்தமான சிலைகளின் எண்ணிக்கைக்குத்தக்கதாக பதில் கொடுப்பேன்.
Therefore speak to them, and say to them, Thus says the lord Jehovah: Every man of the house of Israel who takes his idols into his heart, and puts the stumbling block of his iniquity before his face, and comes to the prophet, I Jehovah will answer him in it according to the multitude of his idols,
5 ௫ அவர்கள் எல்லோரும் தங்களுடைய அசுத்தமான சிலைகளைப் பின்பற்றி, என்னை விட்டுப் விலகிப்போனார்கள் என்று யெகோவாகிய ஆண்டவர் சொல்லுகிறார்.
that I may take the house of Israel in their own heart, because they are all estranged from me through their idols.
6 ௬ ஆகையால், நீ இஸ்ரவேல் வம்சத்தாரை நோக்கி: திரும்புங்கள், உங்களுடைய அசுத்தமான சிலைகளை விட்டுத் திரும்புங்கள்; உங்களுடைய எல்லா அருவருப்புகளையும் விட்டு உங்களுடைய முகங்களைத் திருப்புங்கள் என்று யெகோவாகிய ஆண்டவர் சொல்கிறார்.
Therefore say to the house of Israel, Thus says the lord Jehovah: Return ye, and turn yourselves from your idols, and turn away your faces from all your abominations.
7 ௭ இஸ்ரவேல் வம்சத்தாரிலும் இஸ்ரவேலில் தங்குகிற அந்நியரிலும் என்னைப் பின்பற்றாமல் விலகி, தன்னுடைய அசுத்தமான சிலைகளைத் தன்னுடைய இருதயத்தின்மேல் நாட்டி, தன்னுடைய அக்கிரமமாகிய இடறலைத் தன்னுடைய முகத்திற்கு முன்பாக வைத்துக்கொண்டிருக்கிற எவனாவது தீர்க்கதரிசியின் மூலமாக என்னிடத்தில் விசாரிக்க வந்தால், அவனுக்குக் யெகோவாகிய நானே உத்திரவுகொடுத்து,
For everyone of the house of Israel, or of the strangers who sojourn in Israel, that separates himself from me, and takes his idols into his heart, and puts the stumbling block of his iniquity before his face, and comes to the prophet to inquire for himself of me, I Jehovah will answer him by myself.
8 ௮ அந்த மனிதனுக்கு விரோதமாக என்னுடைய முகத்தைத் திருப்பி, அவனை அடையாளமாகவும் பழமொழியாகவும் வைத்து, அவனை என்னுடைய மக்களின் நடுவில் இல்லாதபடிக்கு அழித்துப்போடுவேன்; அப்பொழுது நான் யெகோவா என்று அறிந்துகொள்வீர்கள்.
And I will set my face against that man, and will make him an astonishment, for a sign and a proverb. And I will cut him off from the midst of my people. And ye shall know that I am Jehovah.
9 ௯ ஒரு தீர்க்கதரிசி ஏமாற்றி ஒரு விஷயத்தைச் சொன்னான் என்றால், அப்படிப்பட்ட தீர்க்கதரிசியைக் யெகோவாகிய நானே ஏமாற்றமடையச்செய்தேன்; நான் அவனுக்கு எதிராக என்னுடைய கையை நீட்டி, அவனை இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களின் நடுவில் இராதபடிக்கு அழிப்பேன்.
And if the prophet is deceived and speaks a word, I, Jehovah, have deceived that prophet. And I will stretch out my hand upon him, and will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel.
10 ௧0 அப்படியே அவரவர் தங்கள் தங்கள் அக்கிரமத்தைச் சுமப்பார்கள்; தீர்க்கதரிசியினிடத்தில் விசாரிக்கிறவனுடைய தண்டனை எப்படியோ அப்படியே தீர்க்கதரிசியினுடைய தண்டனையும் இருக்கும்.
And they shall bear their iniquity. The iniquity of the prophet shall be even as the iniquity of him who seeks him,
11 ௧௧ இஸ்ரவேலர்கள் இனி என்னைவிட்டு வழிவிலகிப்போகாமலும், தங்களுடைய எல்லா மீறுதல்களாலும் இனி அசுத்தப்படாமலும் இருக்கும்படியாக இப்படி நேரிடும்; அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் என்னுடைய மக்களாக இருப்பார்கள், நான் அவர்களுடைய தேவனாக இருப்பேன் என்று யெகோவாகிய ஆண்டவர் சொல்கிறார் என்று சொல் என்றார்.
that the house of Israel may no more go astray from me, nor defile themselves any more with all their transgressions, but that they may be my people, and I may be their God, says the lord Jehovah.
And the word of Jehovah came to me, saying,
13 ௧௩ மனிதகுமாரனே, ஒரு தேசம் எனக்கு விரோதமாகத் துரோகம்செய்துகொண்டேயிருந்து, பாவஞ்செய்தால், நான் அதற்கு எதிராக என்னுடைய கையை நீட்டி, அதில் அப்பம் என்னும் ஆதரவுகோலை முறித்து, அதில் பஞ்சத்தை அனுப்பி, மனிதர்களையும் மிருகங்களையும் அதில் இல்லாதபடிக்கு அழியச்செய்வேன்.
Son of man, when a land sins against me by committing a trespass, and I stretch out my hand upon it, and break the staff of the bread thereof, and send famine upon it, and cut off from it man and beast,
14 ௧௪ அப்பொழுது நோவா தானியேல் யோபு ஆகிய இம்மூன்று நபர்களும் அதின் நடுவில் இருந்தாலும், அவர்கள் தங்களுடைய நீதியினால் தங்களுடைய ஆத்துமாக்களைமட்டும் தப்புவிப்பார்கள் என்று யெகோவாகிய ஆண்டவர் சொல்லுகிறார்.
though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they would deliver but their own souls by their righteousness, says the lord Jehovah.
15 ௧௫ நான் தேசத்தில் கொடிய மிருகங்களை அனுப்ப, அந்த மிருகங்களினால் ஒருவரும் அதின் வழியாக நடக்கமுடியாதபடி வெறுமையும் பாழுமாகும்போது,
If I cause evil beasts to pass through the land, and they ravage it, and it be made desolate, so that no man may pass through because of the beasts,
16 ௧௬ அந்த மூன்று நபர்களும் அதின் நடுவில் இருந்தாலும், தாங்கள்மட்டும் தப்புவார்களேதவிர, மகன்களையோ மகள்களையோ காப்பாற்றமாட்டார்கள்; தேசமும் பாழாய்ப்போகும் என்று என்னுடைய ஜீவனைக்கொண்டு சொல்லுகிறேன் என்பதைக் யெகோவாகிய ஆண்டவர் சொல்லுகிறார்.
though these three men were in it, as I live, says the lord Jehovah, they would deliver neither sons nor daughters, they only would be delivered, but the land would be desolate.
17 ௧௭ அல்லது நான் அந்த தேசத்தின்மேல் வாளை வரச்செய்து: வாளே தேசத்தை உருவப்போ என்று சொல்லி, அதிலுள்ள மனிதர்களையும் மிருகங்களையும் அழிக்கும்போது,
Or if I bring a sword upon that land, and say, Sword, go through the land, so that I cut off from it man and beast,
18 ௧௮ அந்த மூன்று நபர்களும் அதின் நடுவில் இருந்தாலும், தாங்கள்மட்டும் தப்புவார்களேதவிர, மகன்களையோ மகள்களையோ தப்புவிக்கமாட்டார்கள் என்று என்னுடைய ஜீவனைக்கொண்டு சொல்லுகிறேன் என்பதைக் யெகோவாகிய ஆண்டவர் சொல்லுகிறார்.
though these three men were in it, as I live, says the lord Jehovah, they would deliver neither sons nor daughters, but they only would be delivered themselves.
19 ௧௯ அல்லது நான் அந்த தேசத்தில் கொள்ளை நோயை அனுப்பி, அதிலுள்ள மனிதர்களையும் மிருகங்களையும் அழிக்கும்படி அதின்மேல் இரத்தப்பழியாக என்னுடைய கடுங்கோபத்தை ஊற்றும்போது,
Or if I send a pestilence into that land, and pour out my wrath upon it in blood, to cut off from it man and beast,
20 ௨0 நோவாவும் தானியேலும் யோபும் அதின் நடுவில் இருந்தாலும், அவர்கள் தங்களுடைய நீதியினால் தங்களுடைய ஆத்துமாக்களைமட்டும் காப்பாற்றுவார்களே தவிர, மகன்களையோ, மகள்களையோ காப்பாற்றமாட்டார்கள் என்று என்னுடைய ஜீவனைக்கொண்டு சொல்லுகிறேன் என்பதைக் யெகோவாகிய ஆண்டவர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

21 ௨௧ ஆகையால், யெகோவாகிய ஆண்டவர் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால்: நான் மனிதர்களையும், மிருகங்களையும் நாசம்செய்யும்படி எருசலேமுக்கு எதிராக வாள், பஞ்சம், கொடியமிருகங்கள், கொள்ளைநோய் என்னும் இந்த நான்கு கொடிய தண்டனைகளையும் அனுப்பும்போது எவ்வளவு அதிக அழிவாகும்?
For thus says the lord Jehovah: How much more when I send my four severe judgments upon Jerusalem, the sword, and the famine, and the evil beasts, and the pestilence, to cut off from it man and beast!
22 ௨௨ ஆகிலும், இதோ, அதிலே தப்பி மீதியாகி வெளியே கொண்டுவரப்படுகிற மகன்களும் மகள்களும் சிலர் இருப்பார்கள்; இதோ, அவர்கள் உங்களிடத்திற்குப் புறப்பட்டு வருவார்கள்; அப்பொழுது நீங்கள் அவர்களுடைய வழிகளையும் அவர்களுடைய செய்கைகளையும் கண்டு, நான் எருசலேமின்மேல் வரச்செய்த தீங்கையும் அதின்மேல் நான் வரச்செய்த எல்லாவற்றையும்குறித்துத் தேற்றப்படுவீர்கள்.
Yet, behold, there shall be left a remnant in it that shall be carried forth, both sons and daughters. Behold, they shall come forth to you, and ye shall see their way and their doings. And ye shall be comforted concerning the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem, even concerning all that I have brought upon it.
23 ௨௩ நீங்கள் அவர்களுடைய வழிகளையும் அவர்களுடைய செய்கைகளையும் காணும்போது, அவர்கள் உங்களுக்குத் ஆறுதலாக இருப்பார்கள்; நான் அதிலே செய்த எல்லாவற்றையும் காரணமில்லாமல் செய்யவில்லையென்று அப்பொழுது அறிந்துகொள்வீர்கள் என்பதைக் யெகோவாகிய ஆண்டவர் சொல்கிறார் என்று சொன்னார்.
And they shall comfort you when ye see their way and their doings. And ye shall know that I have not done all that I have done in it without cause, says the lord Jehovah.
