யாத்திராகமம் 22
1 ௧ “ஒருவன் ஒரு மாட்டையோ ஒரு ஆட்டையோ திருடி, அதைக் கொன்றால், அல்லது அதை விற்றால், அவன் அந்த மாட்டுக்கு ஐந்து மாடுகளையும், அந்த ஆட்டுக்கு நான்கு ஆடுகளையும் பதிலாகக் கொடுக்கவேண்டும்.
If a man steale an oxe or a sheepe, and kill it or sell it, he shall restore fiue oxen for the oxe, and foure sheepe for the sheepe.
2 ௨ திருடன் திருடும்போது கண்டுபிடிக்கப்பட்டு, அடிக்கப்பட்டுச் செத்தால், அவனுடைய இரத்தப்பழி அடித்தவனைச் சேராது.
If a thiefe bee founde breaking vp, and be smitten that he dye, no blood shall be shed for him.
3 ௩ சூரியன் அவன்மேல் உதித்தபின்பு, அவனுடைய இரத்தப்பழி சுமரும்; திருடன் பதில் கொடுத்துத் தீர்க்கவேண்டும்; அவனுடைய கையில் ஒன்றும் இல்லாமல் இருந்தால், தான் செய்த திருட்டுக்காக விற்கப்படுவான்.
But if it be in the day light, blood shall be shed for him: for he should make full restitution: if he had not wherewith, then shoulde he bee solde for his theft.
4 ௪ அவன் திருடின மாடோ, கழுதையோ, ஆடோ உயிருடன் அவன் கையில் கண்டுபிடிக்கப்பட்டால், இருமடங்காக அவன் கொடுக்கவேண்டும்.
If the theft bee founde with him, aliue, (whether it be oxe, asse, or sheepe) he shall restore the double.
5 ௫ “ஒருவன் மற்றவனுடைய வயலிலோ திராட்சைத்தோட்டத்திலோ தன்னுடைய மிருகஜீவனை மேயவிட்டால், அவன் தன்னுடைய சொந்தவயலிலும் திராட்சைத்தோட்டத்திலும் உள்ள பலனில் சிறந்ததை எடுத்து, பதிலுக்குக் கொடுக்கவேண்டும்.
If a man doe hurt fielde, or vineyarde, and put in his beast to feed in an other mans fielde, he shall recompence of the best of his owne fielde, and of the best of his owne vineyard.
6 ௬ அக்கினி எழும்பி, முட்களில் பற்றி, தானியப்போரையோ, விளைந்த பயிரையோ, வயலிலுள்ள வேறு எதையாவது எரித்துப்போட்டால், அக்கினியைக் கொளுத்தினவன் அக்கினிச் சேதத்திற்கு ஈடு செய்யவேண்டும்.
If fire breake out, and catche in ye thornes, and the stackes of corne, or the standing corne, or the fielde be consumed, he that kindled the fire shall make full restitution.
7 ௭ ஒருவன் பிறனிடம் பணத்தையோ, பொருட்களையோ பாதுகாப்பிற்காக வைத்திருக்கும்போது, அது அவனுடைய வீட்டிலிருந்து திருட்டுப்போனால், திருடன் அகப்பட்டால், அவன் அதற்கு இருமடங்காக கொடுக்கவேண்டும்.
If a man deliuer his neighbour money or stuffe to keepe, and it be stollen out of his house, if the thiefe be found, he shall pay the double.
8 ௮ திருடன் அகப்படாவிட்டால், அந்த வீட்டுக்காரன் தான் பிறனுடைய பொருளை அபகரித்தானோ இல்லையோ என்று அறியும்படி நியாயாதிபதிகளிடம் அவனைக் கொண்டுபோகவேண்டும்.
If the thiefe be not founde, then the master of the house shalbe brought vnto the Iudges to sweare, whether he hath put his hande vnto his neighbours good, or no.
9 ௯ காணாமல்போன மாடு, கழுதை, ஆடு, உடை முதலியவைகளில் ஏதாவது ஒன்றை வேறொருவன் தன்னுடையது என்று சொல்லி குற்றம்சொன்னால், இரண்டு பேர்களுடைய வழக்கும் நியாயாதிபதிகளிடம் வரவேண்டும்; நியாயாதிபதிகள் எவனைக் குற்றவாளி என்று தீர்க்கிறார்களோ, அவன் மற்றவனுக்கு இருமடங்கு கொடுக்கவேண்டும்.
In all maner of trespasse, whether it bee for oxen, for asse, for sheepe, for raiment, or for any maner of lost thing, which an other chalengeth to be his, the cause of both parties shall come before the iudges, and whom the Iudges condemne, he shall pay the double vnto his neighbour.
10 ௧0 ஒருவன் தன்னுடைய கழுதையையோ மாட்டையோ ஆட்டையோ மற்ற ஏதாவதொரு மிருகஜீவனையோ ஒருவனிடம் விட்டிருக்கும்போது, அது செத்தாலும், காயப்பட்டாலும், ஒருவரும் காணாதபடி ஓட்டிக்கொண்டு போகப்பட்டாலும்,
If a man deliuer vnto his neighbour to keepe asse, or oxe, or sheepe, or any beast, and it die, or be hurt, or taken away by enemies, and no man see it,
11 ௧௧ அவன் தான் பிறனுடைய பொருளை அபகரிக்கவில்லையென்று யெகோவாவின் நாமத்தில் ஆணையிட்டால் அவர்கள் இருவருக்கும் அதுவே நியாயம்தீர்க்கட்டும்; உடையவன் அதை அங்கீகரிக்கவேண்டும்; மற்றவன் பதிலளிக்கத்தேவையில்லை.
An othe of the Lord shalbe betweene the twaine, that hee hath not put his hande vnto his neighbours good, and the owner of it shall take the othe, and he shall not make it good:
But if it be stollen from him, he shall make restitution vnto the owner thereof.
13 ௧௩ அது வேட்டையாடப்பட்டுப்போனால், அதற்கு சாட்சியை ஒப்புவிக்கவேண்டும். வேட்டையாடப்பட்டதற்காக அவன் ஈடுகொடுக்கத் தேவையில்லை.
If it be torne in pieces, he shall bring recorde, and shall not make that good, which is deuoured.
14 ௧௪ ஒருவன் பிறனிடம் எதையாவது இரவலாக வாங்கியிருந்தால், அதற்குரியவன் கூட இல்லாதபோது, அது காயப்பட்டாலும், செத்துப்போனாலும், அவன் அதற்கு ஈடுசெய்யவேண்டும்.
And if a man borow ought of his neighbour, and it be hurt, or els die, the owner thereof not being by, he shall surely make it good.
15 ௧௫ அதற்குரியவன் கூட இருந்தால், அவன் ஈடுகொடுக்கத் தேவையில்லை; அது வாடகைக்கு வாங்கப்பட்டிருந்தால், அது அவனுடைய வாடகைக்கு வந்த சேதம்.
If the owner thereof bee by, hee shall not make it good: for if it be an hired thing, it came for his hire.
16 ௧௬ திருமணத்திற்கு நியமிக்கப்படாத ஒரு கன்னிகையை ஒருவன் மோசம்போக்கி அவளோடு உறவுகொண்டால், அவன் அவளுக்காகப் பரிசம்கொடுத்து, அவளைத் திருமணம்செய்யவேண்டும்.
And if a man entise a maide that is not betrothed, and lie with her, hee shall endowe her, and take her to his wife.
17 ௧௭ அவளுடைய தகப்பன் அவளை அவனுக்குக் கொடுக்கமாட்டேன் என்று சொன்னால், கன்னிகைகளுக்காகக் கொடுக்கப்படும் பரிசமுறையின்படி அவன் பணத்தை நிறுத்துக் கொடுக்கவேண்டும்.
If her father refuse to giue her to him, hee shall pay money, according to ye dowry of virgins.
Thou shalt not suffer a witch to liue.
Whosoeuer lieth with a beast, shall dye the death.
Hee that offereth vnto any gods, saue vnto the Lord onely, shalbe slaine.
21 ௨௧ அந்நியனைச் சிறுமைப்படுத்தாமலும் ஒடுக்காமலும் இருப்பீர்களாக; நீங்களும் எகிப்து தேசத்தில் அந்நியர்களாக இருந்தீர்களே.
Moreouer, thou shalt not do iniurie to a stranger, neither oppresse him: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.
Ye shall not trouble any widowe, nor fatherlesse childe.
23 ௨௩ அவர்களை அதிகமாக ஒடுக்கும்போது, அவர்கள் என்னை நோக்கி முறையிட்டால், அவர்கள் முறையிடுதலை நான் நிச்சயமாகக் கேட்டு,
If thou vexe or trouble such, and so he call and cry vnto me, I will surely heare his cry.
24 ௨௪ கோபமடைந்து, உங்களைப் பட்டயத்தால் கொலைசெய்வேன்; உங்களுடைய மனைவிகள் விதவைகளும், உங்களுடைய பிள்ளைகள் திக்கற்றப் பிள்ளைகளுமாவார்கள்.
Then shall my wrath be kindled, and I will kill you with the sword, and your wiues shall be widowes, and your children fatherlesse.
25 ௨௫ உங்களுக்குள் ஏழையாக இருக்கிற என்னுடைய மக்களில் ஒருவனுக்கு நீங்கள் பணம் கடனாகக் கொடுத்திருந்தால், வட்டிவாங்குகிறவர்கள்போல அவனிடம் வட்டி வாங்கவேண்டாம்.
If thou lende money to my people, that is, to the poore with thee, thou shalt not bee as an vsurer vnto him: yee shall not oppresse him with vsurie.
26 ௨௬ பிறனுடைய ஆடையை பதிலாக வாங்கினால், பொழுதுமறையும் முன்பே அதை அவனுக்குத் திரும்பக் கொடுத்துவிடுவாயாக.
If thou take thy neighbours rayment to pledge, thou shalt restore it vnto him before the sunne go downe:
27 ௨௭ அவன் ஆடை அதுதானே, அதுவே அவன் தன்னுடைய உடலை மூடிக்கொள்ளுகிற துணி; வேறு எதினாலே போர்த்திப் படுத்துக்கொள்ளுவான்? அவன் என்னை நோக்கி முறையிடும்போது, நான் அவனுடைய வார்த்தையைக் கேட்பேன், நான் இரக்கமுள்ளவராக இருக்கிறேன்.
For that is his couering only, and this is his garment for his skin: wherin shall he sleepe? therefore when he crieth vnto mee, I will heare him: for I am mercifull.
Thou shalt not raile vpon the Iudges, neither speake euil of the ruler of thy people.
29 ௨௯ முதல் முதல் பழுக்கும் உன்னுடைய பழத்தையும், வடியும் உன்னுடைய ஆலையின் இரசத்தையும் காணிக்கையாகச் செலுத்தத் தாமதிக்கவேண்டாம். உன்னுடைய மகன்களில் முதலில் பிறந்தவனை எனக்குக் கொடுப்பாயாக.
Thine abundance and thy licour shalt thou not keepe backe. The first borne of thy sonnes shalt thou giue me.
30 ௩0 உன்னுடைய மாடுகளிலும் உன்னுடைய ஆடுகளிலும் அப்படியே செய்வாயாக; குட்டியானது ஏழுநாட்கள் தன்னுடைய தாயோடு இருக்கட்டும்; எட்டாம் நாளிலே அதை எனக்குச் செலுத்துவாயாக.
Likewise shalt thou do with thine oxen and with thy sheepe: seuen dayes it shall bee with his damme, and the eight day thou shalt giue it me.
31 ௩௧ நீங்கள் எனக்குப் பரிசுத்த மனிதர்களாக இருக்கவேண்டும்; வெளியிலே பீறுண்ட இறைச்சியைச் சாப்பிடாமல், அதை நாய்களுக்குப் போட்டுவிடுங்கள்.
Ye shall be an holy people vnto me, neither shall ye eate any flesh that is torne of beastes in the fielde: ye shall cast it to the dogge.
