யாத்திராகமம் 19
1 ௧ இஸ்ரவேல் மக்கள் எகிப்து தேசத்திலிருந்து புறப்பட்ட மூன்றாம் மாதம் முதலாம் நாளிலே, சீனாய் வனாந்திரத்திற்கு வந்துசேர்ந்தார்கள்.
And in the third month of the departure of the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt, on the same day, they came into the wilderness of Sina.
2 ௨ அவர்கள் ரெவிதீமிலிருந்து பயணம் புறப்பட்டு, சீனாய் வனாந்திரத்திற்கு வந்து, அந்த வனாந்திரத்தில் முகாமிட்டார்கள்; இஸ்ரவேலர்கள் அங்கே மலைக்கு எதிராக முகாமிட்டார்கள்.
And they departed from Raphidin, and came into the wilderness of Sina, and there Israel encamped before the mountain.
3 ௩ மோசே தேவனிடம் ஏறிப்போனான்; யெகோவா மலையிலிருந்து அவனைக்கூப்பிட்டு: “நீ யாக்கோபு வம்சத்தார்களுக்குச் சொல்லவும், இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களுக்கு அறிவிக்கவும் வேண்டியது என்னவென்றால்,
And Moses went up to the mount of God, and God called him out of the mountain, saying, These things shalt thou say to the house of Jacob, and thou shalt report them to the children of Israel.
4 ௪ நான் எகிப்தியர்களுக்குச் செய்ததையும், நான் உங்களைக் கழுகுகளுடைய இறக்கைகளின்மேல் சுமந்து, உங்களை என் அருகிலே சேர்த்துக்கொண்டதையும், நீங்கள் கண்டிருக்கிறீர்கள்.
Ye have seen all that I have done to the Egyptians, and I took you up as upon eagles' wings, and I brought you near to myself.
5 ௫ இப்பொழுது நீங்கள் என்னுடைய வாக்கை உள்ளபடி கேட்டு, என்னுடைய உடன்படிக்கையைக் கைக்கொள்வீர்களானால், எல்லா மக்களையும்விட நீங்களே எனக்கு சிறந்த மக்களாக இருப்பீர்கள்; பூமியெல்லாம் என்னுடையது.
And now if ye will indeed hear my voice, and keep my covenant, ye shall be to me a peculiar people above all nations; for the whole earth is mine.
6 ௬ நீங்கள் எனக்கு ஆசாரிய ராஜ்ஜியமும் பரிசுத்த தேசமுமாக இருப்பீர்கள் என்று நீ இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களோடு சொல்லவேண்டிய வார்த்தைகள்” என்றார்.
And ye shall be to me a royal priesthood and a holy nation: these words shalt thou speak to the children of Israel.
7 ௭ மோசே வந்து மக்களின் மூப்பர்களை அழைத்து, யெகோவா தனக்குக் கற்பித்த வார்த்தைகளையெல்லாம் அவர்களுக்கு முன்பாகச் சொன்னான்.
And Moses came and called the elders of the people, and he set before them all these words, which God appointed them.
8 ௮ அதற்கு மக்கள் எல்லோரும் ஒன்றாக, “யெகோவா சொன்னவைகளையெல்லாம் செய்வோம் என்று மறுமொழி சொன்னார்கள். மக்கள் சொன்ன வார்த்தைகளை மோசே யெகோவாவிடம் தெரிவித்தான்.
And all the people answered with one accord, and said, All things that God has spoken, we will do and hearken to: and Moses reported these words to God.
9 ௯ அப்பொழுது யெகோவா மோசேயை நோக்கி: “நான் உன்னோடு பேசும்போது மக்கள் கேட்டு, உன்னை என்றைக்கும் விசுவாசிக்கும்படி, நான் கார்மேகத்தில் உன்னிடம் வருவேன்” என்றார். மக்கள் சொன்ன வார்த்தைகளை மோசே யெகோவாவுக்குச் சொன்னான்.
And the Lord said to Moses, Lo! I come to thee in a pillar of a cloud, that the people may hear me speaking to thee, and may believe thee for ever: and Moses reported the words of the people to the Lord.
10 ௧0 பின்னும் யெகோவா மோசேயை நோக்கி: “நீ மக்களிடம் போய், இன்றைக்கும் நாளைக்கும் அவர்களைப் பரிசுத்தப்படுத்து; அவர்கள் தங்கள் ஆடைகளைத் துவைத்து,
And the Lord said to Moses, Go down and solemnly charge the people, and sanctify them to-day and to-morrow, and let them wash their garments.
11 ௧௧ மூன்றாம் நாளுக்கு ஆயத்தப்பட்டிருக்கவேண்டும்; மூன்றாம் நாளில் யெகோவா எல்லா மக்களுக்கும் வெளிப்படையாக சீனாய் மலையின்மேல் இறங்குவார்.
And let them be ready against the third day, for on the third day the Lord will descend upon mount Sina before all the people.
12 ௧௨ மலையைச்சுற்றிலும் நீ ஒரு எல்லையைக் குறித்து, மக்கள் மலையில் ஏறாதபடியும், அதின் அடிவாரத்தைத் தொடாதபடியும் எச்சரிக்கையாக இருங்கள் என்று அவர்களுக்குச் சொல்; மலையைத் தொடுகிறவன் எவனும் நிச்சயமாகவே கொல்லப்படுவான்.
And thou shalt separate the people round about, saying, Take heed to yourselves that ye go not up into the mountain, nor touch any part of it: every one that touches the mountain shall surely die.
13 ௧௩ ஒரு கையும் அதைத் தொடலாகாது; தொட்டால், நிச்சயமாகக் கல்லெறியப்பட்டு, அல்லது வில் எய்யப்பட்டுச் சாகவேண்டும்; மிருகமானாலும் சரி, மனிதனானாலும் சரி, உயிரோடு வைக்கப்படலாகாது; எக்காளம் நெடுந்தொனியாகத் தொனிக்கும்போது, அவர்கள் மலையின் அடிவாரத்தில் வரவேண்டும்” என்றார்.
A hand shall not touch it, for [every one that touches] shall be stoned with stones or shot through with a dart, whether beast or whether man, it shall not live: when the voices and trumpets and cloud depart from off the mountain, they shall come up on the mountain.
14 ௧௪ மோசே மலையிலிருந்து இறங்கி, மக்களிடம் வந்து, அவர்களைப் பரிசுத்தப்படுத்தினான்; அவர்கள் தங்களுடைய ஆடைகளைத் துவைத்தார்கள்.
And Moses went down from the mountain to the people, and sanctified them, and they washed their clothes.
15 ௧௫ அவன் மக்களை நோக்கி: “மூன்றாம் நாளுக்கு ஆயத்தப்பட்டிருங்கள், மனைவியிடம் சேராமல் இருங்கள்” என்றான்.
And he said to the people, Be ready: for three days come not near to a woman.
16 ௧௬ மூன்றாம் நாள் அதிகாலையில் இடிமுழக்கங்களும் மின்னல்களும், மலையின்மேல் கார்மேகமும் மகா பலத்த எக்காள சத்தமும் உண்டானது; முகாமிலிருந்த மக்கள் எல்லோரும் நடுங்கினார்கள்.
And it came to pass on the third day, as the morning drew nigh, there were voices and lightnings and a dark cloud on mount Sina: the voice of the trumpet sounded loud, and all the people in the camp trembled.
17 ௧௭ அப்பொழுது மக்கள் தேவனுக்கு எதிராகபோக, மோசே அவர்களை முகாமிலிருந்து புறப்படச்செய்தான்; அவர்கள் மலையின் அடிவாரத்தில் நின்றார்கள்.
And Moses led the people forth out of the camp to meet God, and they stood by under the camp.
18 ௧௮ யெகோவா சீனாய்மலையின்மேல் அக்கினியில் இறங்கியதால், அது முழுவதும் புகைக்காடாக இருந்தது; அந்தப் புகை சூளையின் புகையைப்போல எழும்பியது; மலை முழுவதும் மிகவும் அதிர்ந்தது.
The mount of Sina was altogether on a smoke, because God had descended upon it in fire; and the smoke went up as the smoke of a furnace, and the people were exceedingly amazed.
19 ௧௯ எக்காளசத்தம் வரவர மிகவும் பலமாகத் தொனித்தது; மோசே பேசினான்; தேவன் அவனுக்கு வாக்கினால் மறுமொழி கொடுத்தார்.
And the sounds of the trumpet were waxing very much louder. Moses spoke, and God answered him with a voice.
20 ௨0 யெகோவா சீனாய்மலையிலுள்ள உச்சியில் இறங்கினபோது, யெகோவா மோசேயை மலையின் உச்சியில் வரவழைத்தார்; மோசே ஏறிப்போனான்.
And the Lord came down upon mount Sina on the top of the mountain; and the Lord called Moses to the top of the mountain, and Moses went up.
21 ௨௧ அப்பொழுது யெகோவா மோசேயை நோக்கி: “மக்கள் பார்ப்பதற்கு எல்லையைக் கடந்து கர்த்தரிடம் வராதபடியும், அவர்களில் அநேகர் அழிந்துபோகாதபடியும், நீ இறங்கிப்போய், அவர்களை உறுதியாக எச்சரி.
And God spoke to Moses, saying, Go down, and solemnly charge the people, lest at any time they draw nigh to God to gaze, and a multitude of them fall.
22 ௨௨ யெகோவாவின் சமுகத்தில் வருகிற ஆசாரியர்களும், யெகோவா தங்களை அழிக்காதபடி, தங்களைப் பரிசுத்தப்படுத்திக்கொள்ளவேண்டும்” என்றார்.
And let the priests that draw nigh to the Lord God sanctify themselves, destroy some of them.
23 ௨௩ அப்பொழுது மோசே யெகோவாவை நோக்கி: “மலையைச் சுற்றிலும் எல்லையைக் குறித்து, அதைப் பரிசுத்தப்படுத்துங்கள் என்று தேவரீர் எங்களை உறுதியாக எச்சரித்திருக்கிறீர்; ஆகையால், மக்கள் சீனாய்மலையின்மேல் ஏறிவரமாட்டார்கள்” என்றான்.
And Moses said to God, The people will not be able to approach to the mount of Sina, for thou hast solemnly charged us, saying, Set bounds to the mountain and sanctify it.
24 ௨௪ யெகோவா மோசேயை நோக்கி: “நீ இறங்கிப்போ; பின்பு நீயும் ஆரோனும் கூடி ஏறிவாருங்கள்; ஆசாரியர்களும், மக்களும், யெகோவா தங்களை அழிக்காதபடி, எல்லையைக் கடந்து யெகோவாவிடம் வராமல் இருக்கவேண்டும்” என்றார்.
And the Lord said to him, Go, descend, and come up thou and Aaron with thee; but let not the priests and the people force their way to come up to God, lest the Lord destroy some of them.
And Moses went down to the people, and spoke to them.
