எபேசியர் 5
Be you, therefore, imitators of God, as beloved children;
2 ௨ கிறிஸ்து நமக்காகத் தம்மை தேவனுக்கு இனிய வாசனையான காணிக்கையாகவும் பலியாகவும் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்து நம்மில் அன்புவைத்ததுபோல, நீங்களும் அன்பாக நடந்துகொள்ளுங்கள்.
and walk in love, as the Christ also loved us, and gave himself for us as an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet odor.
3 ௩ மேலும், பரிசுத்தவான்களுக்குத் தகுந்தபடி, வேசித்தனமும், மற்ற எந்த ஒரு அசுத்தமும், பொருளாசையும் ஆகிய இவைகளின் பெயர்கள்கூட உங்களுக்குள்ளே சொல்லப்படக்கூடாது.
But lewdness, and all manner of uncleanness, or covetousness, let them not be named among you, as it becomes saints;
4 ௪ அப்படியே நிந்தனையும், புத்தியில்லாத பேச்சும், பரிகாசம் செய்வதும் தவறானவைகள்; ஸ்தோத்திரம் செய்வதே நல்லது.
nor obscene language, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not becoming; but rather the cheerful words of a thankful heart.
5 ௫ விபசாரக்காரனாவது, அசுத்தனாவது, விக்கிரக ஆராதனைக்காரனாகிய பொருளாசைக்காரனாவது தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யமாகிய கிறிஸ்துவின் ராஜ்யத்திலே இடம் பெறுவதில்லையென்று அறிந்திருக்கிறீர்களே.
For you know this, that no lewd nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of the Christ and of God.
6 ௬ இப்படிப்பட்டவைகளினால் கீழ்ப்படியாத பிள்ளைகள்மேல் தேவனுடைய கோபம் வருவதால், யாரும் வீண்வார்த்தைகளினாலே உங்களை ஏமாற்றாதபடி நீங்கள் எச்சரிக்கையாக இருங்கள்;
Let no one deceive you with vain words: for on account of these things, the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience.
Therefore, be not partakers with them.
8 ௮ முற்காலத்தில் நீங்கள் இருளாக இருந்தீர்கள், இப்பொழுதோ கர்த்தருக்குள் வெளிச்சமாக இருக்கிறீர்கள்; வெளிச்சத்தின் பிள்ளைகளாக நடந்துகொள்ளுங்கள்.
For you were formerly darkness; but now you are light in the Lord: walk as children of light;
(for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth; )
learning what is acceptable to the Lord;
and do not participate in the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them;
for it is a shame even to speak of the things that are done by them in secret.
13 ௧௩ அவைகள் எல்லாம் வெளிச்சத்தினால் வெளியாக்கப்படும்; வெளியாக்கப்படுவது எல்லாம் வெளிச்சமாக இருக்கிறது.
But all these works, when reproved, are made manifest by the light: for every thing that makes manifest is light.
14 ௧௪ எனவே, தூங்குகிற நீ விழித்து, மரித்தோரைவிட்டு எழுந்திரு, அப்பொழுது கிறிஸ்து உன்னைப் பிரகாசிக்கப்பண்ணுவார் என்று சொல்லியிருக்கிறார்.
Wherefore, the scripture says: Awake you that sleep, and arise from the dead, and Christ will give you light.
See, then, that you walk circumspectly, not as unwise, but as wise men,
redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
17 ௧௭ எனவே, நீங்கள் அறிவில்லாதவர்களாக இல்லாமல், கர்த்தருடைய விருப்பம் என்னவென்று உணர்ந்துகொள்ளுங்கள்.
Wherefore, be not ignorant, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
18 ௧௮ பொல்லாதவழிக்கு உன்னைக் கொண்டுச்செல்லும் மதுபானத்தை நீ குடித்து வெறிகொள்ளாமல், பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவரால் நிறைந்து;
And be not drunk with wine, in which is debauchery; but be filled with the Spirit;
19 ௧௯ சங்கீதங்களினாலும் கீர்த்தனைகளினாலும் ஞானப்பாட்டுகளினாலும் ஒருவருக்கொருவர் புத்திசொல்லிக்கொண்டு, உங்களுடைய இருதயத்தில் கர்த்த்தரைப் பாடிக் கீர்த்தனம்பண்ணி,
speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord,
20 ௨0 நம்முடைய கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் நாமத்தினாலே எப்பொழுதும் எல்லாவற்றிற்காகவும் பிதாவாகிய தேவனை ஸ்தோத்திரித்து,
giving thanks to our God and Father always for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
being subject one to another in the fear of God.
Wives, be subject to your own husbands as to the Lord:
23 ௨௩ கிறிஸ்து சபைக்குத் தலையாக இருக்கிறதுபோல, கணவனும் மனைவிக்குத் தலையாக இருக்கிறான்; கிறிஸ்துவே சரீரத்திற்கும் இரட்சகராக இருக்கிறார்.
for the husband is the head of the wife, as the Christ also is the head of the church; and he is the savior of the body.
24 ௨௪ எனவே, சபையானது கிறிஸ்துவிற்குக் கீழ்ப்படிகிறதுபோல மனைவிகளும் தங்களுடைய சொந்தக் கணவர்களுக்கு எல்லாக் காரியங்களிலும் கீழ்ப்படிந்திருக்கவேண்டும்.
But as the church is subject to the Christ, so, also, let the wives be subject to their own husbands in every thing.
25 ௨௫ கணவர்களே, உங்களுடைய மனைவிகளிடம் அன்பாக இருங்கள்; அப்படியே கிறிஸ்துவும் சபையின்மேல் அன்பாக இருந்து,
Husbands, love your wives, as the Christ also loved the church, and delivered himself up for it,
26 ௨௬ தாம் அதைத் திருவசனத்தைக் கொண்டு தண்ணீர் முழுக்கினால் சுத்தப்படுத்தி, பரிசுத்தமாக்குகிறதற்கும்,
that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the bath of water through the word,
27 ௨௭ கறையேதும்இல்லாமல் பரிசுத்தமும் பிழை இல்லாததுமான மகிமையுள்ள சபையாக அதைத் தமக்குமுன் நிறுத்திக்கொள்வதற்கும் தம்மைத்தாமே அதற்காக ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தார்.
in order that he might present it to himself a glorious church, having neither stain, nor wrinkle, nor any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
28 ௨௮ அப்படியே, கணவர்களும் தங்களுடைய மனைவிகளைத் தங்களுடைய சொந்த சரீரங்களாக நினைத்து, அவர்கள்மேல் அன்பாக இருக்கவேண்டும்; தன் மனைவியிடம் அன்பாக இருக்கிறவன் தன்னைத்தானே நேசிக்கிறான்.
So ought men to love their own wives as their own bodies. He that loves his wife loves himself;
29 ௨௯ தன் சொந்த சரீரத்தைப் பகைத்தவன் ஒருவனும் இல்லையே; கர்த்தர் சபையைப் பேணிக்காப்பாற்றுகிறதுபோல ஒவ்வொருவனும் தன் சரீரத்தைப் பேணிக்காப்பாற்றுகிறான்.
for no one ever yet hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Christ the church:
30 ௩0 நாம் அவருடைய சரீரத்தின் பாகங்களாகவும், அவருடைய சரீரத்திற்கும் அவருடைய எலும்புகளுக்கும் உரியவர்களாகவும் இருக்கிறோம்.
because we are members of his body, being of his flesh, and of his bones.
31 ௩௧ இதனால் மனிதன் தன் தகப்பனையும் தன் தாயையும்விட்டு, தன் மனைவியுடன் இணைந்து, இருவரும் ஒரே சரீரமாக இருப்பார்கள்.
For this cause a man shall leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave to his wife, and the two shall be one flesh.
Great is this mystery; but I speak of Christ and of the church.
33 ௩௩ எப்படியும், உங்கள்மேல் நீங்கள் அன்பாக இருப்பதுபோல, உங்களுடைய மனைவிகளிடமும் அன்பாக இருக்கவேண்டும்; மனைவியும் கணவனிடத்தில் பயபக்தியாக இருக்கவேண்டும்.
But yet, let each one of you so love his wife as himself; and let the wife see that she reverence her husband.
