உபாகமம் 18
1 ௧ “லேவியர்களாகிய ஆசாரியர்களும் லேவிகோத்திரத்தார் அனைவருக்கும் இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களுடன் பங்கும் உரிமையும் இல்லாதிருப்பதாக; யெகோவாவுக்குச் செலுத்தும் தகனபலிகளையும் அவருக்கு உரிமையானவைகளையும் அவர்கள் சாப்பிடலாம்.
The priests the Levites, all the tribe of Levi, shall have no portion nor inheritance with Israel: they shall eat the offerings of YHWH made by fire, and his inheritance.
2 ௨ அவர்களுடைய சகோதரர்களுக்குள்ளே அவர்களுக்கு உரிமையில்லை; யெகோவா அவர்களுக்குச் சொன்னபடியே, அவரே அவர்களுடைய சொத்து.
They shall have no inheritance among their brothers: YHWH is their inheritance, as he has spoken to them.
3 ௩ மக்களிடத்தில் பெற்றுக்கொள்ளவேண்டிய ஆசாரியர்களுக்குரிய வரவானது: மக்கள் பலியிடும் ஆடுமாடுகளில் முன்னந்தொடையையும், தாடைகளையும், இரைப்பைகளையும் ஆசாரியனுக்குக் கொடுக்கவேண்டும்.
This shall be the priests' due from the people, from those who offer a sacrifice, whether it be ox or sheep, that they shall give to the priest the shoulder, and the two cheeks, and the maw.
4 ௪ உன் தானியம், திராட்சைரசம், எண்ணெய், ஆட்டுரோமம் என்னும் இவைகளின் முதற்பலனையும் அவனுக்குக் கொடுக்கவேண்டும்.
The first fruits of your grain, of your new wine, and of your oil, and the first of the fleece of your sheep, you shall give him.
5 ௫ அவனும் அவனுடைய மகன்களும் எல்லா நாட்களும் யெகோவாவின் நாமத்தை முன்னிட்டு ஆராதனைசெய்ய நிற்பதற்காக, உன் தேவனாகிய யெகோவா உன் கோத்திரத்தார் எல்லோருக்குள்ளும் அவனையே தெரிந்துகொண்டார்.
For YHWH your God has chosen him out of all your tribes, to stand to minister in the name of YHWH, him and his sons for ever.
6 ௬ “இஸ்ரவேலில் எவ்விடத்திலுமுள்ள உன் வாசல்கள் யாதொன்றிலே தங்கின ஒரு லேவியன் அவ்விடத்தை விட்டு, யெகோவா தெரிந்துகொண்ட இடத்திற்கு மனப்பூர்வமாக வந்தால்,
If a Levite comes from any of your gates out of all Israel, where he lives as a foreigner, and comes with all the desire of his soul to the place which YHWH shall choose;
7 ௭ அங்கே யெகோவாவுடைய சந்நிதியில் நிற்கும் லேவியர்களாகிய தன் எல்லா சகோதரர்களைப்போலவும் தன் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவின் நாமத்தை முன்னிட்டு ஊழியம்செய்வான்.
then he shall minister in the name of YHWH his God, as all his brothers the Levites do, who stand there before YHWH.
8 ௮ அப்படிப்பட்டவர்கள் தங்கள் முற்பிதாக்களுடைய சொத்தின் விலைக்கிரயத்தை அநுபவிக்கிறதும் அல்லாமல், சாப்பாட்டிற்காக சமமான பாகத்தையும் பெற்றுக்கொள்வார்கள்.
They shall have like portions to eat, besides that which comes of the sale of his patrimony.
9 ௯ “உன் தேவனாகிய யெகோவா உனக்குக் கொடுக்கும் தேசத்தில் நீ போய்ச்சேரும்போது, அந்த மக்கள் செய்யும் அருவருப்புகளின்படி செய்யக் கற்றுக்கொள்ளவேண்டாம்.
When you have come into the land which YHWH your God gives you, you shall not learn to do after the abominations of those nations.
10 ௧0 தன் மகனையாவது தன் மகளையாவது தகனபலியாகத் தீயில் பலியிடுகிறவனும், குறிசொல்லுகிறவனும், நாள் பார்க்கிறவனும், ஜோதிடம் பார்க்கிறவனும், சூனியக்காரனும்,
There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who practices divination, or tells fortunes, or interprets omens, or a sorcerer,
11 ௧௧ மந்திரவாதியும், வசியக்காரனும், மாயவித்தைக்காரனும், செத்தவர்களிடத்தில் குறிகேட்கிறவனும் உங்களுக்குள்ளே இருக்கவேண்டாம்.
or who casts spells, or consults a medium or a familiar spirit, or inquires of the dead.
12 ௧௨ இப்படிப்பட்டவைகளைச் செய்கிறவன் எவனும் யெகோவாவுக்கு அருவருப்பானவன்; இப்படிப்பட்ட அருவருப்பான செயலின் காரணமாக உன் தேவனாகிய யெகோவா அவர்களை உன் முன்னின்று துரத்திவிடுகிறார்.
For whoever does these things is an abomination to YHWH. And because of these abominations YHWH your God is driving them out from before you.
You shall be blameless before YHWH your God.
14 ௧௪ “நீ துரத்திவிடப்போகிற இந்த மக்கள் நாள்பார்க்கிறவர்களுக்கும் குறிசொல்லுகிறவர்களுக்கும் செவிகொடுக்கிறார்கள்; நீ அப்படிச் செய்கிறதற்கு உன் தேவனாகிய யெகோவா உத்திரவுகொடுக்கமாட்டார்.
For these nations, that you shall dispossess, listen to those who practice sorcery, and to diviners; but as for you, YHWH your God has not allowed you so to do.
15 ௧௫ உன் தேவனாகிய யெகோவா என்னைப்போல ஒரு தீர்க்கதரிசியை உனக்காக உன் நடுவே உன் சகோதரர்களிடத்திலிருந்து எழும்பச்செய்வார்; அவர் சொல்வதைக் கேட்பீர்களாக.
YHWH your God will raise up to you a prophet from the midst of you, of your brothers, like me. You shall listen to him.
16 ௧௬ ஓரேபிலே சபை கூட்டப்பட்ட நாளில்: நான் சாகாதபடி என் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவின் சத்தத்தை இனி நான் கேளாமலும், இந்தப் பெரிய அக்கினியை இனி நான் காணாமலும் இருப்பேனாக என்று உன் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவை நீ வேண்டிக்கொண்டதையெல்லாம் அவர் செய்வார்.
This is according to all that you desired of YHWH your God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, "Let me not hear again the voice of YHWH my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I not die."
YHWH said to me, "They have well said that which they have spoken.
18 ௧௮ உன்னைப்போல ஒரு தீர்க்கதரிசியை நான் அவர்களுக்காக அவர்கள் சகோதரர்களிடத்திலிருந்து எழும்பச்செய்து, என் வார்த்தைகளை அவர் வாயில் அருளுவேன்; நான் அவருக்குக் கற்பிப்பதையெல்லாம் அவர்களுக்குச் சொல்லுவார்.
I will raise them up a prophet from among their brothers, like you; and I will put my words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I shall command him.
It shall happen, that whoever will not listen to my words which he shall speak in my name, I will call him to account.
20 ௨0 சொல்லும்படி நான் கட்டளையிடாத வார்த்தைகளை என் நாமத்தினாலே சொல்லத் துணியும் தீர்க்கதரிசியும், வேறே தெய்வங்களின் பெயராலே பேசும் தீர்க்கதரிசியும் சாகக்கடவன்.
But the prophet, who shall speak a word presumptuously in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or who shall speak in the name of other gods, that same prophet shall die."
If you say in your heart, "How shall we know the word which YHWH has not spoken?"
22 ௨௨ ஒரு தீர்க்கதரிசி யெகோவாவின் நாமத்தினால் சொல்லும் காரியம் நடக்காமலும் செயல்படாமலும் போனால், அது யெகோவா சொல்லாத வார்த்தை; அந்தத் தீர்க்கதரிசி அதைத் துணிகரத்தினால் சொன்னான்; அவனுக்கு நீ பயப்படவேண்டாம்.
When a prophet speaks in the name of YHWH, if the thing doesn't follow, nor happen, that is the thing which YHWH has not spoken: the prophet has spoken it presumptuously, you shall not be afraid of him.
