உபாகமம் 12
1 ௧ “உங்கள் முற்பிதாக்களின் தேவனாகிய யெகோவா, நீங்கள் சொந்தமாக்கிக்கொள்வதற்காக உங்களுக்கு கொடுக்கிற தேசத்திலே, நீங்கள் பூமியில் உயிரோடிருக்கும் நாட்களெல்லாம் கைக்கொண்டு நடக்கவேண்டிய கட்டளைகளும் நியமங்களுமாவன:
These are the statutes and ordinances, which ye shall observe to do, in the land which the Lord, the God of thy fathers, giveth unto thee to possess it, and all the days that ye live upon the earth.
2 ௨ நீங்கள் துரத்திவிடும் மக்கள் தங்கள் தெய்வங்களை வணங்கிய உயர்ந்த மலைகளின்மேலும், மேடுகளின்மேலும், பச்சையான சகல மரங்களின் கீழுமுள்ள இடங்களையெல்லாம் முற்றிலும் அழித்து,
Ye shall utterly destroy all the places whereon the nations which ye are about to drive out served their gods, upon the high mountains, and upon the hills, and under every green tree;
3 ௩ அவர்களுடைய பலிபீடங்களை இடித்து, சிலைகளைத் தகர்த்து, தோப்புகளை அக்கினியால் சுட்டெரித்து, தெய்வங்களின் சிலைகளை நொறுக்கி, அவைகளின் பெயரும் அவ்விடத்தில் இராமல் அழியும்படி செய்யக்கடவீர்கள்.
And ye shall overthrow their altars, and break their statues, and their groves shall ye burn with fire; and the graven images of their gods shall ye hew down; and ye shall destroy their name out of the same place.
Ye shall not do so unto the Lord your God;
5 ௫ உங்கள் தேவனாகிய யெகோவா தம்முடைய நாமம் விளங்கும்படி, உங்கள் சகல கோத்திரங்களிலும் தெரிந்துகொள்ளும் இடமாகிய அவருடைய வாசஸ்தலத்தையே நாடி, அங்கே போய்,
But unto the place which the Lord your God may choose out of all your tribes to put his name there, even unto his habitation shall ye repair, and thither shalt thou come;
6 ௬ அங்கே உங்களுடைய சர்வாங்க தகனங்களையும், பலிகளையும், தசமபாகங்களையும், உங்களுடைய கை ஏறெடுத்துப் படைக்கும் படைப்புகளையும், பொருத்தனைகளையும், உற்சாகபலிகளையும், ஆடுமாடுகளின் தலையீற்றுகளையும் கொண்டுவந்து,
And ye shall bring thither your burnt-offerings, and your sacrifices, and your tithes, and the heave-offering of your hand, and your vows, and your freewill-offerings, and the first-born of your herds and of your flocks;
7 ௭ அங்கே உங்கள் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவுடைய சந்நிதியிலே சாப்பிட்டு, நீங்கள் கையிட்டுச் செய்ததும், உங்கள் தேவனாகிய யெகோவா உங்களை ஆசீர்வதித்ததுமான எல்லாவற்றிக்காகவும் நீங்களும் உங்கள் குடும்பத்தாரும் சந்தோஷப்படுவீர்களாக.
And ye shall eat there before the Lord your God, and ye shall rejoice with all the acquisition of your hand, ye and your households, wherewith the Lord thy God may have blessed thee.
8 ௮ இங்கே இந்நாளில் நாம் அவனவன் தன்தன் பார்வைக்குச் சரியானதையெல்லாம் செய்கிறதுபோல நீங்கள் செய்யாதிருப்பீர்களாக.
Ye shall not do after all the manner that we do here this day, every one whatsoever is right in his own eyes.
9 ௯ உங்கள் தேவனாகிய யெகோவா உங்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கும் இளைப்பாறுதலிலும், தேசத்திலும் நீங்கள் இன்னும் நுழையவில்லையே.
For ye are not as yet come to the rest and to the inheritance, which the Lord thy God giveth thee.
10 ௧0 நீங்கள் யோர்தான் நதியைக் கடந்துபோய், உங்கள் தேவனாகிய யெகோவா உங்களுக்குச் சொந்தமாகக் கொடுக்கும் தேசத்தில் குடியேறும்போதும், சுற்றிலும் இருக்கிற உங்களுடைய எதிரிகளையெல்லாம் அவர் விலக்கி, உங்களை இளைப்பாறச்செய்கிறதினால் நீங்கள் சுகமாக வாழ்ந்திருக்கும்போதும்,
But ye will go over the Jordan, and dwell in the land which the Lord your God causeth you to inherit, and he will give you rest from all your enemies round about, so that ye may dwell in safety.
11 ௧௧ உங்கள் தேவனாகிய யெகோவா தமது நாமம் விளங்கும்படி தெரிந்துகொள்ளும் ஓர் இடம் உண்டாயிருக்கும்; அங்கே நீங்கள் நான் உங்களுக்குக் கட்டளையிட்ட யாவையும் உங்களுடைய சர்வாங்க தகனங்களையும், பலிகளையும், தசமபாகங்களையும், உங்களுடைய கை ஏறெடுத்துப்படைக்கும் படைப்புகளையும், நீங்கள் யெகோவாவுக்கு நேர்ந்துகொள்ளும் விசேஷித்த எல்லாப் பொருத்தனைகளையும் கொண்டுவந்து,
And then shall it be, that the place which the Lord your God will choose to cause his name to dwell there, —[even] thither shall ye bring all that I command you: your burnt-offerings, and your sacrifices, your tithes, and the heave-offering of your hand, and all your choice vows which ye may vow unto the Lord;
12 ௧௨ உங்கள் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவுடைய சந்நிதியில் நீங்களும், உங்களுடைய மகன்களும், மகள்களும், வேலைக்காரர்களும், வேலைக்காரிகளும், உங்களுடன் பங்கும் சொத்தும் இல்லாமல் உங்களுடைய வாசல்களில் இருக்கிற லேவியனும் சந்தோஷப்படுவீர்களாக.
And ye shall rejoice before the Lord your God, ye, and your sons, and your daughters, and your men-servants, and your maid-servants, and the Levite who is within your gates; because he hath not any portion nor inheritance with you.
Take heed to thyself that thou offer not thy burnt-offerings in every place which thou mayest see;
14 ௧௪ உன் கோத்திரங்களின் ஒன்றில் யெகோவா தெரிந்துகொள்ளும் இடத்தில் மாத்திரம் நீ உன் சர்வாங்க தகனபலிகளைச் செலுத்தி, நான் உனக்குக் கற்பிக்கிற யாவையும் அங்கே செய்வாயாக.
But in the place which the Lord will choose in one of thy tribes, there shalt thou offer thy burnt-offerings, and there shalt thou do all that I command thee.
15 ௧௫ “ஆனாலும் உன் தேவனாகிய யெகோவா உனக்கு அருளும் ஆசீர்வாதத்திற்குத்தக்கதாக, நீ உன் வாசல்களிலெங்கும் உன் விருப்பப்படியே மிருகஜீவன்களை அடித்து சாப்பிடலாம்; தீட்டுப்பட்டவனும் தீட்டுப்படாதவனும், அவைகளை, வெளிமானையும் கலைமானையும் சாப்பிடுவதுபோல சாப்பிடலாம்.
Notwithstanding, according to all the longing of thy soul, mayest thou kill and eat flesh, according to the blessing of the Lord thy God which he hath given thee, in all thy gates: the unclean and the clean may eat thereof, as of the roebuck, and as of the hart.
Only the blood shall ye not eat: upon the earth shall ye pour it out as water.
17 ௧௭ உன்னுடைய தானியத்திலும், திராட்சைரசத்திலும், எண்ணெயிலும், தசமபாகத்தையும், உன் ஆடுமாடுகளின் தலையீற்றுகளையும், நீ நேர்ந்துகொள்ளும் உன்னுடைய சகல பொருத்தனைகளையும், உன் உற்சாகக் காணிக்கைகளையும், உன் கை ஏறெடுத்துப் படைக்கும் படைப்புகளையும், நீ உன் வாசல்களில் சாப்பிடவேண்டாம்.
Thou mayest not eat within thy gates the tithe of thy corn, or of thy wine, or of thy oil, nor the first-born of thy herds or of thy flocks, nor any of thy vows which thou mayest vow, nor thy freewill-offerings, and the heave-offering of thy hand;
18 ௧௮ உன் தேவனாகிய யெகோவா தெரிந்துகொள்ளும் இடத்தில் நீயும் உன் மகனும், மகளும், வேலைக்காரனும், உன் வேலைக்காரியும், உன் வாசல்களில் இருக்கிற லேவியனும், உன் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவுடைய சந்நிதியில் அதைச் சாப்பிட்டு, நீ கையிட்டுச் செய்யும் எல்லாக் காரியத்திலும் உன் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவுடைய சந்நிதியில் சந்தோஷப்படுவாயாக.
But before the Lord thy God must thou eat them in the place which the Lord thy God may choose, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy man-servant, and thy maid-servant, and the Levite who is within thy gates; and thou shalt rejoice before the Lord thy God with all the acquisition of thy hand.
Take heed to thyself that thou forsake not the Levite as long as thou livest upon thy land.
20 ௨0 “உன் தேவனாகிய யெகோவா உனக்குச் சொன்னபடி, அவர் உன் எல்லையை விரிவாக்கும்போது, நீ இறைச்சியைச் சாப்பிட ஆசைகொண்டு, இறைச்சி சாப்பிடுவேன் என்பாயானால், நீ உன் விருப்பப்படி இறைச்சி சாப்பிடலாம்.
When the Lord thy God will enlarge thy border, as he hath spoken unto thee, and thou dost say, I wish to eat flesh, because thy soul longeth to eat flesh: then mayest thou, according to all the longing of thy soul, eat flesh.
21 ௨௧ உன் தேவனாகிய யெகோவா தமது நாமம் விளங்கும்படித் தெரிந்துகொள்ளும் இடம் உனக்குத் தூரமானால், யெகோவா உனக்குக் கொடுத்த உன் ஆடுமாடுகளில் எதையாகிலும் நான் உனக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடி நீ அடித்து, உன் விருப்பப்படி உன் வாசல்களிலே சாப்பிடலாம்.
If the place which the Lord thy God may choose to put his name there be too far for thee: then mayest thou kill of thy herds and of thy flocks, which the Lord hath given thee, as I have commanded thee; and thou shalt eat in thy gates according to all the longing of thy soul.
22 ௨௨ வெளிமானையும் கலைமானையும் சாப்பிடுவதுபோல நீ அதைச் சாப்பிடலாம்; தீட்டுப்பட்டவனும் தீட்டுப்படாதவனும் அதைச் சாப்பிடலாம்.
But as the roebuck and the hart are eaten, so shalt thou eat the same: the unclean and the clean may eat thereof together.
23 ௨௩ இரத்தத்தை மாத்திரம் சாப்பிடாதபடி எச்சரிக்கையாயிரு; இரத்தமே உயிர்; மாம்சத்தோடே இரத்தத்தையும் சாப்பிடவேண்டாம்.
Only be firm so as not to eat the blood; for the blood is the life; and thou shalt not eat the life with the flesh.
Thou shalt not eat it: upon the earth shalt thou pour it out like water.
25 ௨௫ நீ யெகோவாவின் பார்வைக்குச் செம்மையானதைச் செய்வதினால், நீயும் உனக்குப் பின்வரும் உன் பிள்ளைகளும் நன்றாயிருக்கும்படி நீ அதைச் சாப்பிடக்கூடாது.
Thou shalt not eat it; in order that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, when thou wilt do what is right in the eyes of the Lord.
26 ௨௬ உனக்குரிய பரிசுத்த பொருட்களையும், உன் பொருத்தனைகளையும் யெகோவா தெரிந்துகொள்ளும் இடத்திற்கு நீ கொண்டுவந்து,
Nevertheless thy holy things which thou mayest have, and thy vows, shalt thou take, and go unto the place which the Lord may choose:
27 ௨௭ உன் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவுடைய பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் உன் சர்வாங்க தகனபலிகளை மாம்சத்தோடும் இரத்தத்தோடும் பலியிடக்கடவாய்; நீ செலுத்தும் மற்ற பலிகளின் இரத்தமும் உன் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவுடைய பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் ஊற்றப்படுவதாக; மாம்சத்தையோ நீ சாப்பிடலாம்.
And thou shalt offer thy burnt-offerings, the flesh and the blood, upon the altar of the Lord thy God; and the blood of thy sacrifices shall be poured out upon the altar of the Lord thy God, and the flesh shalt thou eat.
28 ௨௮ நீ உன் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவின் பார்வைக்கு நன்மையும் செம்மையுமானதைச் செய்வதினால், நீயும் உனக்குப் பின்வரும் உன் பிள்ளைகளும் என்றென்றைக்கும் நன்றாயிருப்பதற்கு, நான் உனக்குக் கற்பிக்கிற இந்த எல்லா வார்த்தைகளையும் நீ கவனித்துக் கேள்.
Observe and hear all these words which I command thee; in order that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee for ever, when thou wilt do what is good and right in the eyes of the Lord thy God.
29 ௨௯ “நீ சொந்தமாக்கப்போகிற தேசத்தின் மக்களை உன் தேவனாகிய யெகோவா உனக்கு முன்பாக அகற்றும்போதும், நீ அவர்களுடைய தேசத்தைச் சொந்தமாக்கி அதிலே குடியிருக்கும்போதும்,
When the Lord thy God will cut off the nations, whither thou goest to drive them out from before thee, and thou succeedest them, and dwellest in their land:
30 ௩0 அவர்கள் உனக்கு முன்பாக அழிக்கப்பட்டபின்பு, நீ அவர்களைப் பின்பற்றிச் சிக்கிக்கொள்ளாதபடிக்கும், இந்த மக்கள் தங்கள் தெய்வங்களை வணங்கியதுபோல நானும் வணங்குவேன் என்று சொல்லி அவர்களுடைய தெய்வங்களைக்குறித்துக் கேட்டு விசாரிக்காதபடிக்கும் எச்சரிக்கையாயிரு.
Then take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after they have been destroyed from before thee; and that thou inquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise.
31 ௩௧ உன் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவுக்கு அப்படிச் செய்யாமலிருப்பாயாக; யெகோவா வெறுக்கிற அருவருப்பான யாவையும் அவர்கள் தங்கள் தெய்வங்களுக்குச் செய்து தங்கள் மகன்களையும், மகள்களையும் தங்கள் தெய்வங்களுக்கு அக்கினியிலே சுட்டெரித்தார்களே.
Thou shalt not do so unto the Lord thy God; for every abomination to the Lord, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters have they burnt in the fire to their gods.
32 ௩௨ “நான் உனக்குக் கொடுக்கிற யாவையும் செய்யும்படி கவனமாயிரு; நீ அதனுடன் ஒன்றும் கூட்டவும் வேண்டாம், அதில் ஒன்றும் குறைக்கவும் வேண்டாம்.
What thing soever I command you, even that shall ye observe to do: thou shalt not add thereto, and thou shalt not diminish therefrom.
