உபாகமம் 10
1 ௧ அக்காலத்திலே யெகோவா என்னை நோக்கி: “நீ முன்னிருந்ததைப் போலவே இரண்டு கற்பலகைகளை வெட்டிக்கொண்டு, மலையின்மேல் ஏறி, என்னிடத்திற்கு வா; ஒரு மரப்பெட்டியையும் செய்வாயாக.
At that time Yhwh said unto me, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first, and come up unto me into the mount, and make thee an ark of wood.
2 ௨ நீ உடைத்துப்போட்ட முந்தின பலகைகளில் இருந்த வார்த்தைகளை நான் அந்தப் பலகைகளில் எழுதுவேன்; நீ அவைகளைப் பெட்டியிலே வைப்பாயாக என்றார்.
And I will write on the tables the words that were in the first tables which thou brakest, and thou shalt put them in the ark.
3 ௩ அப்படியே நான் சீத்திம் மரத்தினால் ஒரு பெட்டியைச் செய்து, முன்னிருந்ததைப் போலவே இரண்டு கற்பலகைகளை வெட்டி, அவைகளை என் கையிலே எடுத்துக்கொண்டு மலையில் ஏறினேன்.
And I made an ark of shittim wood, and hewed two tables of stone like unto the first, and went up into the mount, having the two tables in mine hand.
4 ௪ முன்னே சபைகூடிவந்த நாளில் யெகோவா, மலையில் அக்கினி நடுவிலிருந்து உங்களுக்குச் சொன்ன பத்துக்கற்பனைகளையும் முன்பு அவர் எழுதியிருந்ததுபோலவே அந்தப் பலகைகளில் எழுதி, அவைகளை என்னிடத்தில் தந்தார்.
And he wrote on the tables, according to the first writing, the ten commandments, which Yhwh spake unto you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly: And Yhwh gave them unto me.
5 ௫ அப்பொழுது நான் திரும்பி மலையிலிருந்து இறங்கி, அந்தப் பலகைகளை நான் செய்த பெட்டியிலே வைத்தேன்; யெகோவா எனக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடியே அவைகள் அதிலே வைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது.
And I turned myself and came down from the mount, and put the tables in the ark which I had made; and there they be, as Yhwh commanded me.
6 ௬ பின்பு இஸ்ரவேல் மக்கள் பெனெயாக்கானுக்கடுத்த பேரோத்திலேயிருந்து மோசெராவுக்குப் பிரயாணம்செய்தார்கள்; அங்கே ஆரோன் மரணமடைந்து, அடக்கம் செய்யப்பட்டான்; அவனுடைய இடத்திலே அவன் மகனாகிய எலெயாசார் ஆசாரியனானான்.
And the children of Israel took their journey from Beeroth of the children of Jaakan to Mosera: there Aaron died, and there he was buried; and Eleazar his son ministered in the priest’s office in his stead.
7 ௭ அங்கேயிருந்து குத்கோதாவுக்கும், குத்கோதாவிலிருந்து ஆறுகளுள்ள நாடாகிய யோத்பாத்திற்கும் பிரயாணம்செய்தார்கள்.
From thence they journeyed unto Gudgodah; and from Gudgodah to Jotbath, a land of rivers of waters.
8 ௮ அக்காலத்திலே யெகோவாவுடைய உடன்படிக்கைப் பெட்டியைச் சுமப்பதற்கும், இந்நாள்வரைக்கும் நடந்துவருகிறதுபோல, யெகோவாவுடைய சந்நிதியிலே நின்று அவருக்கு ஆராதனை செய்வதற்கும், அவருடைய நாமத்தைக்கொண்டு ஆசீர்வதிப்பதற்கும், யெகோவா லேவியின் கோத்திரத்தைத் தேர்ந்தெடுத்தார்.
At that time Yhwh separated the tribe of Levi, to bear the ark of the covenant of Yhwh, to stand before Yhwh to minister unto him, and to bless in his name, unto this day.
9 ௯ ஆகையால் லேவிக்கு அவன் சகோதரர்களுடன் பங்கும் சொத்தும் இல்லை; உன் தேவனாகிய யெகோவா அவனுக்குச் சொன்னபடியே, யெகோவாவே அவனுக்கு சொத்து.
Wherefore Levi hath no part nor inheritance with his brethren; Yhwh is his inheritance, according as Yhwh thy God promised him.
10 ௧0 “நான் முன்புபோலவே நாற்பது நாட்கள் இரவும்பகலும் மலையில் இருந்தேன்; யெகோவா அந்த முறையும் என் மன்றாட்டைக் கேட்டு, உன்னை அழிக்காமல் விட்டார்.
And I stayed in the mount, according to the first time, forty days and forty nights; And Yhwh hearkened unto me at that time also, and Yhwh would not destroy thee.
11 ௧௧ யெகோவா என்னை நோக்கி: நான் கொடுப்பேன் என்று அவர்களுடைய முற்பிதாக்களுக்கு வாக்களித்த தேசத்தில் அவர்கள் போய் அதைச் சொந்தமாக்கிக்கொள்வதற்காக, நீ எழுந்து, மக்களுக்கு முன்பாகப் பிரயாணப்பட்டுப் போ என்றார்.
And Yhwh said unto me, Arise, take thy journey before the people, that they may go in and possess the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give unto them.
12 ௧௨ “இப்பொழுதும் இஸ்ரவேலே, நீ உன் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவுக்குப் பயந்து, அவருடைய வழிகளிலெல்லாம் நடந்து, அவரிடத்தில் அன்புசெலுத்தி, உன் முழு இருதயத்தோடும் உன் முழு ஆத்துமாவோடும் உன் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவைப் பணிந்துகொண்டு,
And now, Israel, what doth Yhwh thy God require of thee, but to fear Yhwh thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve Yhwh thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,
13 ௧௩ நான் இன்று உனக்குக் கற்பிக்கிற யெகோவாவுடைய கற்பனைகளையும் அவருடைய கட்டளைகளையும் உனக்கு நன்மையுண்டாவதற்கு கைக்கொள்ளவேண்டும் என்பதையே அல்லாமல், வேறே எதை உன் தேவனாகிய யெகோவா உன்னிடத்தில் கேட்கிறார்.
To keep the commandments of Yhwh, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?
Behold, the heaven and the heaven of heavens is Yhwh's thy God, the earth also, with all that therein is.
15 ௧௫ ஆனாலும் யெகோவா உன் முற்பிதாக்கள்மேல் அன்புசெலுத்துவதற்காக அவர்களிடத்தில் பிரியம் வைத்து, அவர்களுக்குப் பின் அவர்களுடைய சந்ததியாகிய உங்களை, இந்நாளில் இருக்கிறபடியே, சகல மக்களுக்குள்ளும் தமக்கென்று தெரிந்துகொண்டார்.
Only Yhwh had a delight in thy fathers to love them, and he chose their seed after them, even you above all people, as it is this day.
Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked.
17 ௧௭ உங்கள் தேவனாகிய யெகோவா தேவாதி தேவனும், கர்த்தாதி கர்த்தரும், மகத்துவமும் வல்லமையும் பயங்கரமுமான தேவனுமாக இருக்கிறார்; அவர் பட்சபாதம்செய்கிறவரும் அல்ல, லஞ்சம் வாங்குகிறவரும் அல்ல.
For Yhwh your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward:
18 ௧௮ அவர் திக்கற்ற பிள்ளைக்கும் விதவைக்கும் நியாயம்செய்கிறவரும், அந்நியன்மேல் அன்புவைத்து அவனுக்கு உணவும் உடையும் கொடுக்கிறவருமாக இருக்கிறார்.
He doth execute the judgment of the fatherless and widow, and loveth the stranger, in giving him food and raiment.
Love ye therefore the stranger: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.
20 ௨0 உன் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவுக்குப் பயந்து, அவரைப் பணிந்துகொண்டு, அவரைப் பற்றிக்கொண்டிருந்து, அவருடைய நாமத்தைக்கொண்டு ஆணையிடுவாயாக.
Thou shalt fear Yhwh thy God; him shalt thou serve, and to him shalt thou cleave, and swear by his name.
21 ௨௧ அவரே உன் புகழ்ச்சி; உன் கண்கள் கண்ட இந்தப் பெரிய பயங்கரமான காரியங்களை உன்னிடத்தில் செய்த உன்னுடைய தேவன் அவரே.
He is thy praise, and he is thy God, that hath done for thee these great and terrible things, which thine eyes have seen.
22 ௨௨ உன் முற்பிதாக்கள் எழுபதுபேராக எகிப்திற்குப் போனார்கள்; இப்பொழுதோ உன் தேவனாகிய யெகோவா உன்னுடைய பெருக்கத்திலே வானத்தின் நட்சத்திரங்களைப் போலாக்கினார்.
Thy fathers went down into Egypt with threescore and ten persons; and now Yhwh thy God hath made thee as the stars of heaven for multitude.
