அப்போஸ்தலர் 15
1 ௧ சிலர் யூதேயாவிலிருந்து வந்து: நீங்கள் மோசேயினுடைய கட்டளையின்படியே விருத்தசேதனம்பண்ணப்படாவிட்டால், இரட்சிக்கப்படமாட்டீர்கள் என்று சகோதரர்களுக்குப் போதகம்பண்ணினார்கள்.
And there came down certain men from Judaea, and taught the brethren, Unless ye are circumcised after the custom of Moses, ye cannot be saved.
2 ௨ அதனால் அவர்களுக்கும் பவுல் பர்னபா என்பவர்களுக்கும் வாக்குவாதம் உண்டானபோது, அந்த விஷயத்தினிமித்தம் பவுலும் பர்னபாவும் அவர்களோடு இருந்த வேறு சிலரும் எருசலேமிலிருக்கிற அப்போஸ்தலர்களிடத்திற்கும் மூப்பர்களிடத்திற்கும் போகவேண்டுமென்று தீர்மானித்தார்கள்.
But when Paul and Barnabas had had no small dissension and debate with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas, and certain others of them, should go up to Jerusalem to the apostles and elders about this question.
3 ௩ அப்படியே அவர்கள் சபை மக்களால் வழியனுப்பப்பட்டு, பெனிக்கே சமாரியா நாடுகளின்வழியாகப்போய், யூதரல்லாதோர் மனம் மாறிய செய்தியை அறிவித்து, சகோதரர்கள் எல்லோருக்கும் மிகுந்த சந்தோஷத்தை உண்டாக்கினார்கள்.
They therefore, having been sent forward by the church, passed through Phoenicia and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the gentiles; and they caused great joy to all the brethren.
4 ௪ அவர்கள் எருசலேமுக்கு வந்து, சபை மக்களாலும் அப்போஸ்தலர்களாலும் மூப்பர்களாலும் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளப்பட்டபோது, தேவன் தங்கள் மூலமாக செய்தவைகளை எல்லாம் அறிவித்தார்கள்.
And having come to Jerusalem, they were welcomed by the church, and by the apostles and elders, and they related what great things God had wrought with them.
5 ௫ அப்பொழுது பரிசேய சமயத்தாரில் விசுவாசிகளான சிலர் எழுந்து, அவர்களை விருத்தசேதனம்பண்ணுகிறதும் மோசேயின் நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தைக் கடைபிடிக்கும்படி அவர்களுக்குக் கற்பிக்கிறதும் அவசியம் என்றார்கள்.
But there rose up certain believers of the sect of the Pharisees, saying, It is necessary to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.
And the apostles and the elders came together to consider this matter.
7 ௭ மிகுந்த வாக்குவாதம் உண்டானபோது, பேதுரு எழுந்து, அவர்களை நோக்கி: சகோதரர்களே, உங்களுக்குத் தெரிந்திருக்கிறபடி யூதரல்லாதோர் என்னுடைய வாயினாலே நற்செய்தி வசனத்தைக்கேட்டு விசுவாசிக்கும்படி தேவன் அநேக நாட்களுக்கு முன்பே உங்களில் ஒருவனாகிய என்னைத் தெரிந்துகொண்டார்.
And after much debate, Peter rose up and said to them, Brethren, ye know that a long time ago God made choice among you, that by my mouth the gentiles should hear the word of the glad tidings, and believe.
8 ௮ இருதயங்களை அறிந்திருக்கிற தேவன் நமக்கு பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவரை அருளினதுபோல அவர்களுக்கும் அருளி, அவர்களைக்குறித்துச் சாட்சியளித்தார்;
And God, who knoweth the heart, bore them witness, giving them the Holy Spirit, as he gave it to us;
9 ௯ விசுவாசத்தினாலே அவர்கள் இருதயங்களை அவர் சுத்தமாக்கி, நமக்கும் அவர்களுக்கும் எந்தவொரு வித்தியாசமும் இல்லாதபடி செய்தார்.
and made no difference between us and them, having purified their hearts by faith.
10 ௧0 இப்படியிருக்க, நம்முடைய முற்பிதாக்களாலும் நம்மாலும் சுமக்கமுடியாமல் இருந்த நுகத்தடியைச் சீடர்களின் கழுத்தின்மேல் வைப்பதினால், நீங்கள் தேவனை சோதிப்பது ஏன்?
Now therefore why do ye provoke the anger of God, by putting a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
11 ௧௧ கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் கிருபையினாலே அவர்கள் இரட்சிக்கப்படுகிறது எப்படியோ, அப்படியே நாமும் இரட்சிக்கப்படுவோம் என்று நம்பியிருக்கிறோமே என்றான்.
But we believe that we shall be saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus, in the same manner as they.
12 ௧௨ அப்பொழுது கூடிவந்திருந்த எல்லோரும் அமைதியாக இருந்து, பர்னபாவும் பவுலும் தங்களைக்கொண்டு தேவன் யூதரல்லாதோர்களுக்குள்ளே செய்த அற்புதங்கள் அடையாளங்கள் யாவையும் விளக்கிச் சொல்லக் கேட்டார்கள்.
And all the multitude became silent, and listened to Barnabas and Paul, while they related what great signs and wonders God had wrought among the gentiles by them.
And after they had done speaking, James answered, saying, Brethren, hearken to me.
14 ௧௪ தேவன் யூதரல்லாதோர் கூட்டத்தில் இருந்து தமது நாமத்திற்காக ஒரு மக்கள் கூட்டத்தைத் தெரிந்துகொள்ளும்படி முதன்முதலாக அவர்களுக்கு வெளிப்படுத்தின விதத்தை சிமியோன் விளக்கிச் சொன்னாரே.
Simeon hath related how God first visited the gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.
And with this agree the words of the Prophets, as it is written:
16 ௧௬ எப்படியென்றால், மற்ற மனிதர்களும், என்னுடைய நாமத்தினால் அழைக்கப்பட்ட எல்லா மக்களும், கர்த்த்தரை தேடும்படி,
“After this I will return, and will rebuild the tabernacle of David which hath fallen; and I will rebuild its ruins, and will set it up;
17 ௧௭ நான் இதற்குப்பின்பு திரும்பிவந்து, விழுந்துபோன தாவீதின் கூடாரத்தை மறுபடியும் எடுத்து, அதில் பழுதானவைகளை மீண்டும் செவ்வையாக நிறுத்துவேன் என்று இவைகளையெல்லாம் செய்கிற கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார் என்று எழுதியிருக்கிறது.
that the rest of men may seek after the Lord, and all the gentiles, who have been called by my name, saith the Lord, who doeth these things,
which were known from the beginning.” (aiōn g165)
Wherefore my judgment is, that we should not trouble those who from among the gentiles are turning to God;
20 ௨0 விக்கிரகங்களுக்குப் படைத்த அசுத்தமானவைகளை சாப்பிடாமலும், தகாத உறவு கொள்ளாமலும், கழுத்தை நசுக்கிக் கொல்லப்பட்ட மிருகம் மற்றும் இரத்தம் ஆகியவற்றை சாப்பிடாமலும் இருக்கும்படி அவர்களுக்கு நாம் எழுதவேண்டுமென்றும் நான் தீர்மானிக்கிறேன்.
but that we should write to them by letter to abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from that which hath been strangled, and from blood.
21 ௨௧ ஏனென்றால் மோசேயின் புத்தகங்கள் ஓய்வுநாள்தோறும் ஜெப ஆலயங்களில் வாசிக்கப்பட்டு வருகிறபடியால், ஆரம்ப காலம்முதல் எல்லாப் பட்டணங்களிலும் அந்த புத்தகங்களைப் போதிக்கிறவர்களும் உண்டு என்றான்.
For Moses from the times of old hath had in every city those who preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath.
22 ௨௨ அப்பொழுது தங்களில் சிலரைத் தெரிந்துகொண்டு பவுலோடும் பர்னபாவோடும் அந்தியோகியாவிற்கு அனுப்புகிறது அப்போஸ்தலர்கள், மூப்பர்கள் மற்றும் மக்கள் எல்லோருக்கும் நலமாகத் தோன்றியது. அவர்கள் யாரென்றால், சகோதரர்களில் விசேஷித்தவர்களாகிய பர்சபா என்னும் மறுபெயர்கொண்ட யூதாவும் சீலாவுமே.
Then it was decided by the apostles and the elders, with the whole church, to choose men from among themselves, and send them to Antioch, with Paul and Barnabas, namely, Judas called Barsabbas, and Silas, leading men among the brethren.
23 ௨௩ இவர்களுடைய கையில் அவர்கள் கொடுத்தனுப்பின கடிதமாவது: அப்போஸ்தலர்களும் மூப்பர்களும் சகோதரர்களுமாகிய நாங்கள் அந்தியோகியாவிலும் சீரியாவிலும் சிலிசியாவிலும் இருக்கும் யூதரல்லாத சகோதரர்களுக்கு வாழ்த்துதல் சொல்லி எழுதிய கடிதம் என்னவென்றால்:
And they wrote by them, “The apostles, and the elders, and the brethren, to the brethren who are from the gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia, greeting.
24 ௨௪ எங்களிடம் கட்டளைபெறாத சிலர் எங்களிடத்திலிருந்து புறப்பட்டு, நீங்கள் விருத்தசேதனம்பண்ணப்படவேண்டுமென்றும், நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தைக் கடைபிடிக்கவேண்டுமென்றும் சொல்லி, இப்படிப்பட்ட வார்த்தைகளால் உங்களைக் குழப்பி, உங்களுடைய மனதைக் கெடுத்தார்கள் என்று நாங்கள் கேள்விப்பட்டபடியால்,
Whereas we have heard, that some who went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, to whom we gave no command;
25 ௨௫ நம்முடைய கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் நாமத்திற்காகத் தங்களுடைய உயிரையும் ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கத் துணிந்த எங்களுக்குப் பிரியமான பர்னபா மற்றும் பவுல் என்பவர்களோடு,
it seemed good to us, having become of one mind, to choose men and send them to you, with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,
26 ௨௬ எங்களால் தெரிந்துகொள்ளப்பட்ட சில மனிதர்களை உங்களிடத்திற்கு அனுப்புவது எங்களுக்கு நலமாகத் தோன்றியது.
men who have hazarded their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
27 ௨௭ அப்படியே யூதாவையும் சீலாவையும் அனுப்பியிருக்கிறோம். அவர்களும் இவைகளை வாய்வார்த்தையாக உங்களுக்கு அறிவிப்பார்கள்.
We have sent therefore Judas and Silas, who will themselves tell you the same things by word of mouth.
28 ௨௮ என்னவென்றால், விக்கிரகங்களுக்குப் படைத்த அசுத்தமானவைகளை சாப்பிடாமலும், தகாத உறவு கொள்ளாமலும், கழுத்தை நசுக்கிக் கொல்லப்பட்ட மிருகம் மற்றும் இரத்தம் ஆகியவற்றை சாப்பிடாமலும் இருக்கவேண்டுமென்பதே.
For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us, to lay upon you no further burden except these necessary things:
29 ௨௯ அவசியமான இவைகளைத்தவிர வேறு பாரமான எந்தவொரு காரியத்தையும் உங்கள்மேல் சுமத்தாமல் இருப்பது பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவருக்கும் எங்களுக்கும் நலமாகத் தோன்றியது; இவைகளைச் செய்யாமல் நீங்கள் உங்களைக் காத்துக்கொள்ளுவது நலமாக இருக்கும். சுகமாக இருப்பீர்களாக என்று எழுதினார்கள்.
to abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication; from which if ye keep yourselves, ye will do well. Farewell.”
30 ௩0 அவர்கள் அனுப்பிவிடப்பட்டு அந்தியோகியாவிற்கு வந்து, சபை மக்களைக் கூட்டிச்சேர்த்து, கடிதத்தை ஒப்படைத்தார்கள்.
They therefore being sent away came to Antioch; and when they had gathered the multitude together, they delivered the letter.
And when they had read it, they rejoiced over the encouragement.
32 ௩௨ யூதா சீலா என்பவர்கள் தீர்க்கதரிசிகளாக இருந்தபடியால் அநேக வார்த்தைகளினால் சகோதரர்களுக்குப் புத்திச்சொல்லி, அவர்களைத் தைரியப்படுத்தி,
And Judas and Silas, who were themselves prophets, exhorted the brethren with many words and confirmed them.
33 ௩௩ சிலநாட்கள் அங்கே தங்கியிருந்து, பின்பு சகோதரர்களால் சமாதானத்தோடு அப்போஸ்தலர்களிடத்திற்கு அனுப்பிவிடப்பட்டார்கள்.
And when they had remained some time, they were dismissed with peace from the brethren to those who sent them.
35 ௩௫ பவுலும் பர்னபாவும் அந்தியோகியாவிலே தங்கியிருந்து, மற்ற மக்களுக்கும் கர்த்தருடைய வசனத்தை உபதேசித்துப் போதித்துக்கொண்டிருந்தார்கள்.
But Paul and Barnabas continued in Antioch, teaching and publishing, with many others also, the glad tidings of the word of the Lord.
36 ௩௬ சில நாட்களுக்குப்பின்பு பவுல் பர்னபாவை நோக்கி: நாம் கர்த்தருடைய வசனத்தை அறிவித்திருக்கிற எல்லாப் பட்டணங்களிலும் உள்ள சகோதரர்கள் எப்படி இருக்கிறார்கள் என்று சென்று பார்க்கலாம் வாரும் என்றான்.
And some days after, Paul said to Barnabas, Let us go again and visit the brethren in every city where we have preached the word of the Lord, and see how they are.
37 ௩௭ அப்பொழுது பர்னபா என்பவன் மாற்கு என்னும் பெயர்கொண்ட யோவானையும் அழைத்துக்கொண்டு போகவேண்டும் என்றான்.
And Barnabas determined to take with them John, called Mark.
38 ௩௮ ஆனால் பவுல்: அவன் பம்பிலியா நாட்டிலே நம்மைவிட்டுப் பிரிந்து நம்மோடு ஊழியத்திற்கு வராததினாலே, அவனை அழைத்துக்கொண்டு போகக்கூடாது என்றான்.
But Paul did not think it proper to take with them a man who had left them in Pamphylia, and went not with them to the work.
39 ௩௯ இதைக்குறித்து அவர்களுக்குள்ளே கடுமையான விவாதம் உண்டானபடியினால் அவர்கள் ஒருவரையொருவர் விட்டுப் பிரிந்தார்கள். பர்னபா மாற்குவைக் கூட்டிக்கொண்டு கப்பல் ஏறிச் சீப்புருதீவிற்குப் போனான்.
And there arose a sharp contention, so that they parted from each other, and Barnabas took Mark and sailed to Cyprus.
And Paul chose Silas and went forth, having been commended by the brethren to the grace of the Lord.
And he went through Syria and Cilicia, confirming the churches.
