அப்போஸ்தலர் 13
1 ௧ அந்தியோகியா பட்டணத்திலுள்ள சபையிலே பர்னபாவும், நீகர் என்னப்பட்ட சிமியோனும், சிரேனே ஊரானாகிய லூகியும், காற்பங்கு தேசத்தின் அதிபதியாகிய ஏரோதுடன் வளர்க்கப்பட்ட மனாயீனும், சவுலும், தீர்க்கதரிசிகளாகவும் போதகர்களாகவும் இருந்தார்கள்.
And there were prophets and teachers in the church at Antioch; Barnabas, and Symeon called Niger, and Lucius the Cyrenean, and Manahem, the foster-brother of Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.
2 ௨ அவர்கள் கர்த்தருக்கு ஆராதனைசெய்து, உபவாசித்துக்கொண்டிருக்கிறபோது: பர்னபாவையும் சவுலையும் நான் அழைத்த ஊழியத்துக்காக அவர்களைப் பிரித்துவிடுங்கள் என்று பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவர் உரைத்தார்.
And they ministering to the Lord, and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, Now separate unto me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.
Then they having fasted and prayed, and laid hands on them, sent them away.
4 ௪ அப்படியே அவர்கள் பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவரால் அனுப்பப்பட்டு செலூக்கியா பட்டணத்திற்கு வந்து, கப்பல் ஏறி, அங்கிருந்து சீப்புருதீவிற்குப் போனார்கள்.
Then they indeed, having been sent away by the Holy Ghost, came down to Seleucia; and thence sailed away to Cyprus.
5 ௫ சாலமி பட்டணத்திற்கு வந்தபோது அவர்கள் யூதர்களுடைய ஜெப ஆலயங்களில் தேவவசனத்தைப் போதித்தார்கள். யோவானும் அவர்களுக்கு உதவிக்காரனாக இருந்தான்.
And being in Salamis, they preached the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews: and they also had John as their helper.
6 ௬ அவர்கள் பாப்போ பட்டணம்வரைக்கும் தீவைக் கடந்துவந்தபோது, பர்யேசு என்னும் பெயர்கொண்ட மாயவித்தைக்காரனும் கள்ளத்தீர்க்கதரிசியுமான ஒரு யூதனைப் பார்த்தார்கள்.
And having gone through the whole island to Paphos, they found a certain man, a magician, a Jewish false prophet, to whom was the name of Bar-Jesus:
7 ௭ அவன் விவேகமுள்ள மனிதனாகிய செர்கியுபவுல் என்னும் அதிபதியோடு இருந்தான். அந்த அதிபதி பர்னபாவையும் சவுலையும் அழைத்து, அவர்களிடத்தில் தேவவசனத்தைக் கேட்க ஆசையாக இருந்தான்.
who was with Sergius Paulus, the proconsul, an intelligent man. He, having called Barnabas and Saul, sought to hear the word of God;
8 ௮ மாயவித்தைக்காரன் என்று அர்த்தங்கொள்ளும் பெயரையுடைய எலிமா என்பவன், அதிபதியை இயேசுவை விசுவாசிக்காமல் திசைதிரும்பும்படி செய்ய, அவர்களோடு எதிர்த்து நின்றான்.
but Elymas the magician (for thus his name is interpreted) opposed them, seeking to turn away the proconsul from the faith.
And Saul, (who is also Paul), being filled with the Holy Ghost, fixing his eyes on him,
10 ௧0 எல்லாக் கபடமும் அக்கிரமமும் நிறைந்தவனே, பிசாசின் மகனே, உண்மைக்கெல்லாம் பகைவனே, கர்த்தருடைய செம்மையான வழிகளைப் புரட்டுவதை நிறுத்தமாட்டாயோ?
said, O thou full of all guile and rascality, thou son of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease perverting the right ways of God?
11 ௧௧ இதோ, இப்பொழுதே கர்த்தருடைய கை உன்மேல் வந்திருக்கிறது, கொஞ்சகாலம் நீ சூரியனைப் பார்க்காமல் குருடனாக இருப்பாய் என்றான். உடனே அவன் தன் கண்பார்வையை இழந்தான்; அவன் தடுமாறி, தனக்கு கை கொடுக்கிறவர்களைத் தேடினான்.
And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a time. And immediately there fell on him a mist and darkness; and going about he was seeking people to lead him by the hand.
12 ௧௨ அப்பொழுது அதிபதி நடந்தவைகளைப் பார்த்து, கர்த்தருடைய உபதேசத்தைக்குறித்து அதிசயப்பட்டு, விசுவாசித்தான்.
Then the deputy, seeing that which took place, believed; being delighted with the teaching of the Lord.
13 ௧௩ பின்பு பவுலும் அவனைச் சேர்ந்தவர்களும் பாப்போ பட்டணத்தைவிட்டுக் கப்பல் ஏறிப் பம்பிலியாவில் இருக்கும் பெர்கே பட்டணத்திற்கு வந்தார்கள். யோவான் அவர்களைவிட்டுப் பிரிந்து, எருசலேமுக்குத் திரும்பிப்போனான்.
And those around Paul having sailed from Paphos, came into Perge of Pamphylia: and John having departed from them returned to Jerusalem.
14 ௧௪ அவர்கள் பெர்கே பட்டணத்தைவிட்டுப் புறப்பட்டு, பிசீதியா நாட்டிலுள்ள அந்தியோகியாவிற்கு வந்து, ஓய்வுநாளிலே ஜெப ஆலயத்திற்குச் சென்று, உட்கார்ந்தார்கள்.
And they having come from Perge, arrived into Picidian Antioch, and having come into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, they sat down.
15 ௧௫ மோசேயின் நியாயப்பிரமாண புத்தகமும் தீர்க்கதரிசன புத்தகமும் படித்துமுடிந்தபின்பு: சகோதரர்களே, நீங்கள் மக்களுக்குப் புத்திச்சொல்ல விரும்பினால் சொல்லுங்கள் என்று சொல்லச்சொல்லி ஜெப ஆலயத்தலைவர்கள் அவர்களுக்கு ஆள் அனுப்பினார்கள்.
And after the reading of the law and the prophets, the chief rulers of the synagogue sent to them, saying, Men, brethren, if there is any word of consolation to the people in you, speak.
16 ௧௬ அப்பொழுது பவுல் எழுந்திருந்து, கையசைத்து: இஸ்ரவேலர்களே, தேவனுக்குப் பயந்து நடக்கிற மக்களே, கேளுங்கள்.
And Paul, rising up, and beckoning with his hand said; Israelitish men, and those fearing God, hear.
17 ௧௭ இஸ்ரவேலராகிய இந்த மக்களுடைய தேவன் நம்முடைய முற்பிதாக்களைத் தெரிந்துகொண்டு எகிப்து தேசத்தில் அவர்கள் பரதேசிகளாக வாழ்ந்தபோது அவர்களை உயர்த்தி, தமது வல்லமையுள்ள கரத்தினால் அங்கிருந்து அவர்களைப் புறப்படப்பண்ணி,
The God of this people Israel chose our fathers, and exalted the people during their sojourn in the land of Egypt, and with a strong arm led them out of it;
and when he supported them about the time of forty years in the wilderness,
19 ௧௯ கானான் தேசத்தில் ஏழு மக்கள் இனங்களை அழித்து, அவர்களுடைய தேசத்தை இவர்களுக்குச் சொந்தமாகப் பங்கிட்டுக் கொடுத்து,
and having destroyed seven nations in the land of Canaan, he gave them the inheritance of the land about four hundred and fifty years.
20 ௨0 பின்பு ஏறக்குறைய நானூற்று ஐம்பது வருடங்களாக சாமுவேல் தீர்க்கதரிசிவரைக்கும் அவர்களுக்கு நியாயாதிபதிகளை நியமித்துவந்தார்.
And after these things he gave them judges, till Samuel the prophet.
21 ௨௧ அதற்குப்பின்பு மக்கள் தங்களுக்கு ஒரு ராஜா வேண்டுமென்று கேட்டுக்கொண்டார்கள்; அப்படியே தேவன் பென்யமீன் கோத்திரத்தைச் சேர்ந்த கீசுடைய மகனான சவுலை நாற்பது வருடங்களாக அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுத்தார்.
And then they asked for a king: and God gave them Saul the son of Kish, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, forty years;
22 ௨௨ பின்பு தேவன் சவுலைத் தள்ளி, தாவீதை அவர்களுக்கு ராஜாவாக ஏற்படுத்தினார். ஈசாயின் மகனாகிய தாவீதை என் மனதிற்கு பிடித்தவனாகப் பார்த்தேன்; எனக்கு விருப்பமானவைகளையெல்லாம் அவன் செய்வான் என்று அவனைக்குறித்து சாட்சியும் சொன்னார்.
and having deposed him, he raised up to them David for a king; to whom witnessing he also said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man according to my own heart, who will do all my wishes.
23 ௨௩ அவனுடைய வம்சத்திலே தேவன் தமது வாக்குத்தத்தத்தின்படியே இஸ்ரவேலுக்கு இரட்சகராக இயேசுவை எழும்பப்பண்ணினார்.
From whose seed according to the promise he led forth Jesus, the Savior, to Israel:
24 ௨௪ இவர் வெளிப்படுவதற்குமுன்னே மனம்திரும்புவதற்கான ஞானஸ்நானத்தைப்பற்றி யோவான் இஸ்ரவேலர் எல்லோருக்கும் போதித்தான்.
and John having preached the baptism of repentance to all the people of Israel, before the face of his coming.
25 ௨௫ யோவான் தன் பணிகளை முடிக்கிறபோது: நீங்கள் என்னை யார் என்று நினைக்கிறீர்கள்? நான் அவர் இல்லை, இதோ, எனக்குப்பின்பு ஒருவர் வருகிறார், அவருடைய காலணிகளை அவிழ்ப்பதற்குக்கூட நான் தகுதியானவன் இல்லை என்றான்.
And when John fulfilled his course, he said, What do you consider me to be? I am not he: but, behold, there comes one after me, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to loose.
26 ௨௬ சகோதரர்களே, ஆபிரகாமின் வம்சத்தில் பிறந்தவர்களே, தேவனுக்குப் பயந்து நடக்கிறவர்களே, இந்த மீட்பின் வசனம் உங்களுக்கு அனுப்பப்பட்டிருக்கிறது.
Men, brethren, sons of the race of Abraham, and those among you fearing God, unto us the word of this salvation was sent.
27 ௨௭ எருசலேமில் குடியிருக்கிறவர்களும் அவர்கள் அதிகாரிகளும், அவரைத் தெரியாமலும், ஓய்வுநாட்களில் வாசிக்கப்படுகிற தீர்க்கதரிசிகளின் வாக்கியங்களைத் தெரியாமலும், அவரை தண்டனைக்குள்ளாக்கியதினால் அந்த வாக்கியங்களை நிறைவேற்றினார்கள்.
For those dwelling in Jerusalem, and the rulers, having rejected him, condemning him, have
28 ௨௮ கொலை செய்யப்படுவதற்கான காரணங்கள் ஒன்றும் அவரிடத்தில் இல்லாதிருந்தும், அவரைக் கொலைசெய்யும்படிக்குப் பிலாத்துவை வேண்டிக்கொண்டார்கள்.
fulfilled the voices of the prophets which are read every Sabbath; and having found no cause of death, asked Pilate that he should be executed;
29 ௨௯ அவரைக்குறித்து எழுதியிருக்கிறவைகள் எல்லாவற்றையும் அவர்கள் நிறைவேற்றினபின்பு, அவரை மரத்திலிருந்து இறக்கி, கல்லறையிலே வைத்தார்கள்.
and when they perfected all the things which had been written concerning him, taking him down from the cross, placed him in a sepulchre.
And God raised him from the dead;
31 ௩௧ இயேசு கலிலேயாவிலிருந்து எருசலேமுக்குத் தம்மோடு வந்தவர்களுக்கு அநேகநாட்கள் தரிசனமானார்; அவர்களே மக்களுக்கு முன்பாக அவருக்குச் சாட்சிகளாக இருக்கிறார்கள்.
who appeared to those coming up with him to Jerusalem from Galilee many days, who are now his witnesses to the people.
32 ௩௨ நீர் என்னுடைய மகன், இன்று நான் உம்மைப் பெற்றேன் என்று இரண்டாம் சங்கீதத்தில் எழுதியிருக்கிறபடியே,
And we preach unto you the promise, which was made to the fathers,
33 ௩௩ இயேசுவை உயிரோடு எழுப்பினதினாலே தேவன் நம்முடைய முற்பிதாக்களுக்கு அருளிய வாக்குத்தத்தத்தை அவர்களுடைய பிள்ளைகளாகிய நமக்கு நிறைவேற்றினார் என்று நாங்களும் உங்களுக்கு நற்செய்தியாக அறிவிக்கிறோம்.
that God has fulfilled this unto our children, raising up Jesus, as in the second Psalm it has been written, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee.
34 ௩௪ அவர் இனி ஒருபோதும் அழிவுக்குட்படாதபடி தேவன் அவரை உயிரோடு எழுப்பினார் என்பதைக்குறித்து: தாவீதுக்கு அருளின நிச்சயமான கிருபைகளை உங்களுக்குக் கட்டளையிடுவேன்’ என்று உரைத்தார்.
And because he raised him up from the dead, no longer about to return to corruption, He has thus said, I will give unto you the faithful mercies of David.
35 ௩௫ அன்றியும், ‘உம்முடைய பரிசுத்தர் அழிவைக் காணவிடமாட்டீர்’ என்று வேறொரு சங்கீதத்தில் சொல்லியிருக்கிறது.
Therefore He also says in another place, Thou wilt not suffer thy Holy One to see corruption.
36 ௩௬ தாவீது தன் காலத்திலே தேவனுடைய விருப்பத்தின்படி அவருக்கு ஊழியம் செய்தபின்பு மரித்து, தன் முற்பிதாக்களிடத்திலே சேர்க்கப்பட்டு, அழிவைக் கண்டான்.
For David, indeed having served his own generation according to the will of God, went to sleep, and did see corruption:
but he, whom God raised up, did not see corruption.
38 ௩௮ ஆதலால் சகோதரர்களே, இயேசுகிறிஸ்து மூலமாக உங்களுக்குப் பாவமன்னிப்பு உண்டாகும் என்று அறிவிக்கப்படுகிறதென்றும்,
Then let it be known unto you, men brethren, that through this one remission of sins is preached:
39 ௩௯ மோசேயின் நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தினாலே நீங்கள் எவைகளில் இருந்து விடுதலையாகி நீதிமான்களாக்கப்பட முடியாமலிருந்ததோ, விசுவாசிக்கிற எவனும் அவைகளிலிருந்து இயேசுவாலே விடுதலையாகி நீதிமானாக்கப்படுகிறான் என்றும் உங்களுக்குத் தெரிந்திருப்பதாக.
and in him every one believing is justified from all things from which ye were not able to be justified by the law of Moses.
Then beware, lest the word which has been spoken by the prophets may come upon you;
41 ௪௧ அசட்டைப்பண்ணுகிறவர்களே, பாருங்கள், ஆச்சரியப்பட்டு அழிந்துபோங்கள்! உங்களுடைய நாட்களில் நான் ஒரு செயலைச் செய்திடுவேன், ஒருவன் அதை உங்களுக்கு விளக்கிச் சொன்னாலும் நீங்கள் நம்பமாட்டீர்கள்” என்று சொல்லியிருக்கிறபடி, உங்களுக்கு நடக்காதபடிக்கு எச்சரிக்கையாக இருங்கள் என்றான்.
Behold, ye despisers, and wonder, and vanish away: because I work a work in your days, a work which you may not believe, though one may proclaim it to you.
42 ௪௨ அவர்கள் யூதர்களுடைய ஜெப ஆலயத்திலிருந்து புறப்படும்பொழுது, அடுத்த ஓய்வுநாளிலே இந்த வசனங்களைத் தங்களுக்குச் சொல்லவேண்டும் என்று யூதரல்லாதோர் கேட்டுக்கொண்டார்கள்.
And they going out, they continued to entreat them that these words should be spoken to them on the next Sabbath.
43 ௪௩ ஜெப ஆலய கூட்டம் முடிந்தபின்பு, யூதர்களிலும் யூதமார்க்கத்தைப் பின்பற்றின பக்தியுள்ளவர்களில் அநேகர் பவுலையும் பர்னபாவையும் பின்பற்றினார்கள். அவர்களோடு இவர்கள் பேசி, தேவனுடைய கிருபையிலே நிலைத்திருக்கும்படி அவர்களுக்குப் புத்திசொன்னார்கள்.
And the synagogue having been adjourned, many of the Jews and pious proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas, who, speaking with them, continued to persuade them to abide in the grace of God.
And on the following Sabbath almost all the city came together to hear the word of the Lord.
45 ௪௫ யூதர்கள் மக்கள் கூட்டங்களைப் பார்த்தபோது பொறாமைப்பட்டு, பவுலினால் சொல்லப்பட்டவைகளுக்கு எதிராகப் பேசி, அவர்களை அவமதித்தார்கள்.
And the Jews seeing the multitudes, were filled with jealousy, and contradicted the word spoken by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming.
46 ௪௬ அப்பொழுது பவுலும் பர்னபாவும் தைரியத்தோடு அவர்களைப் பார்த்து: முதலாவது உங்களுக்குத்தான் தேவவசனத்தைச் சொல்லவேண்டியதாயிருந்தது; ஆனால் நீங்களோ அதை வேண்டாம் என்று தள்ளி, உங்களை நீங்களே நித்தியஜீவனுக்கு தகுதியற்றவர்கள் என்று தீர்த்துக்கொள்ளுகிறபடியால், இதோ, நாங்கள் யூதரல்லாதோர்களிடத்திற்குப் போகிறோம். And Paul and Barnabas speaking boldly, said, It was necessary that the word of God should first be spoken to you: since you have rejected it, and judge yourselves not worthy of eternal life, behold we now turn to the Gentiles. (aiōnios g166)
47 ௪௭ நீர் பூமியின் கடைசிவரை இரட்சிப்பாக இருப்பதற்கு உம்மை மக்களுக்கு ஒளியாக வைத்தேன்” என்கிற வேதவாக்கியத்தின்படி கர்த்தர் எங்களுக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டிருக்கிறதினால் இப்படிச் செய்கிறோம் என்றார்கள்.
For thus the Lord has commanded us, I have placed thee for a light of the Gentiles, that thou shalt be for salvation unto the extremity of the earth.
48 ௪௮ யூதரல்லாதோர் அதைக்கேட்டு சந்தோஷப்பட்டு, கர்த்தருடைய வசனத்தை மகிமைப்படுத்தினார்கள். நித்தியஜீவனுக்கு நியமிக்கப்பட்டவர்கள் எவர்களோ அவர்கள் விசுவாசித்தார்கள். (aiōnios g166)
And the Gentiles hearing, rejoiced, and glorified the word of the Lord: and so many as had been ordained unto eternal life believed: (aiōnios g166)
and the word of the Lord was carried throughout all the country.
50 ௫0 யூதர்கள் பக்தியும் கனமும் பெற்ற பெண்களையும் பட்டணத்து முதலாளிகளையும் தூண்டிவிட்டு, பவுலையும் பர்னபாவையும் துன்பப்படுத்தும்படி செய்து, தங்களுடைய எல்லைகளுக்கு வெளியே அவர்களைத் துரத்திவிட்டார்கள்.
And the Jews stirred up the noble godly women, and the first men of the city, and they raised a persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them from their borders.
51 ௫௧ இவர்கள் தங்களுடைய கால்களில் இருந்த தூசிகளை அவர்களுக்கு எதிராக உதறிப்போட்டு, இக்கோனியா பட்டணத்திற்குப் போனார்கள்.
And having cast off the dust from their feet against them, they came into Iconium.
And the disciples were filled with joy, and the Holy Ghost.
