2 தீமோத்தேயு 1
1 ௧ கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவினால் உண்டாயிருக்கிற ஜீவனைக்குறித்த வாக்குத்தத்தத்தின்படி, தேவனுடைய விருப்பத்தினாலே, இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் அப்போஸ்தலனாக இருக்கிற பவுல்,
Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus, through the will of God, —according to the promise of life in Christ Jesus; —
2 ௨ பிரியமுள்ள குமாரனாகிய தீமோத்தேயுவிற்கு எழுதுகிறதாவது: பிதாவாகிய தேவனாலும் நம்முடைய கர்த்தராகிய கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவினாலும் கிருபையும் இரக்கமும் சமாதானமும் உண்டாவதாக.
Unto Timothy, my beloved child: Favour, mercy, peace, from God our Father, and Christ Jesus our Lord.
3 ௩ நான் இரவும் பகலும் இடைவிடாமல் என் ஜெபங்களில் உன்னை நினைத்து, உன் கண்ணீரையும் நினைவுகூர்ந்து, மகிழ்ச்சியால் நிறையப்படும்படிக்கு உன்னைக் காண வாஞ்சையாக இருந்து,
Grateful, am I, unto God, —unto whom I am rendering divine service from my progenitors in a pure conscience, that, incessant, hold I the remembrance, concerning thee, in my supplications; day and night,
4 ௪ உன்னிலுள்ள மாயமில்லாத விசுவாசத்தை நினைவுகூருகிறதினால், என் முன்னோர்கள் முதற்கொண்டு சுத்தமனச்சாட்சியோடு ஆராதித்துவரும் தேவனுக்கு நான் நன்றி செலுத்துகிறேன்.
longing to see thee, being mindful of thy tears, —in order that, with joy, I may be filled:
5 ௫ அந்த விசுவாசம் முந்தி உன் பாட்டியாகிய லோவிசாளுக்குள்ளும் உன் தாயாகிய ஐனிக்கேயாளுக்குள்ளும் நிலைத்திருந்தது; அது உனக்குள்ளும் நிலைத்திருக்கிறதென்று நிச்சயித்திருக்கிறேன்.
A reminder, having received, of the unfeigned faith, that is in thee, —such, as dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and in thy mother Eunice, —I am persuaded, moreover, that [it dwelleth], in thee also.
6 ௬ இதினிமித்தமாக, நான் உன்மேல் என் கரங்களை வைத்ததினால் உனக்கு உண்டான தேவ வரத்தை நீ அனல்மூட்டி எழுப்பிவிடும்படி உனக்கு நினைப்பூட்டுகிறேன்.
For which cause, I put thee in remembrance, to be stirring up God’s gift of favour, which is in thee through means of the laying on of my hands;
7 ௭ தேவன் நமக்குப் பயமுள்ள ஆவியைக் கொடுக்காமல், பலமும் அன்பும் தெளிந்த புத்தியுமுள்ள ஆவியையே கொடுத்திருக்கிறார்.
For God hath not given us a spirit of cowardice, but of power, and love, and correction.
8 ௮ ஆகவே, நம்முடைய கர்த்த்தரைப்பற்றிய சாட்சியைக்குறித்தாவது, அவர்நிமித்தம் கட்டப்பட்டிருக்கிற என்னைக்குறித்தாவது, நீ வெட்கப்படாமல், தேவ வல்லமைக்குரியபடி நற்செய்திக்காக என்னோடுகூடத் தீங்கு அனுபவி.
Be not thou, therefore, put to shame—with regard to the witness of our Lord, nor with regard to me his prisoner; but suffer hardship together with the glad-message according to the power of God, —
9 ௯ அவர் நம்முடைய செயல்களின்படி நம்மை இரட்சிக்காமல், தம்முடைய தீர்மானத்தின்படியும், ஆரம்பகாலமுதல் கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவிற்குள் நமக்கு அருளப்பட்ட கிருபையின்படியும், நம்மை இரட்சித்து, பரிசுத்த அழைப்பினாலே அழைத்தார்.
Who hath saved us, and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to the peculiar purpose and favour—which was given to us in Christ Jesus before age-during times, (aiōnios g166)
10 ௧0 நம்முடைய இரட்சகராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்து இந்த உலகத்தில் தோன்றியதன் மூலமாக அந்தக் கிருபை இப்பொழுது வெளிப்படுத்தப்பட்டது; அவர் மரணத்தை அழித்து, ஜீவனையும் அழியாமையையும் நற்செய்தியினாலே வெளியரங்கமாக்கினார். (aiōnios g166)
But hath now been made manifest through means of the forthshining of our Saviour Christ Jesus, —Who, indeed, hath abolished death, and hath thrown light upon life and incorruptibility, through means of the glad-message:
11 ௧௧ அதற்கு நான் பிரசங்கியாகவும், அப்போஸ்தலனாகவும், யூதரல்லாதவர்களுக்குப் போதகனாகவும் நியமிக்கப்பட்டேன்.
Whereunto, I, have been appointed herald and apostle and teacher;
12 ௧௨ அதினாலே நான் இந்தப் பாடுகளையும் அனுபவிக்கிறேன்; ஆனாலும், நான் வெட்கப்படுகிறதில்லை; ஏனென்றால், நான் விசுவாசித்தவர் யார் என்று அறிவேன், நான் அவரிடத்தில் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்ததை அவர் அந்தநாள்வரைக் காத்துக்கொள்ள வல்லவராக இருக்கிறார் என்று உறுதியாக நம்புகிறேன்.
For which cause, these things also, am I suffering; nevertheless I am not being put to shame, for I know him whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is, able, to guard, that which I have entrusted, [to him] unto, that, day.
13 ௧௩ நீ கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவைப்பற்றும் விசுவாசத்தோடும் அன்போடும் என்னிடத்தில் கேட்டிருக்கிற ஆரோக்கியமான வார்த்தைகளை மாதிரியாக வைத்துப் பின்பற்று.
An outline, have thou, of healthful discourses which from me thou hast heard—with the faith and love which are in Christ Jesus:
14 ௧௪ உன்னிடத்தில் ஒப்புவிக்கப்பட்ட அந்த நற்காரியங்களை நமக்குள்ளே வாசம்பண்ணுகிற பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவராலே காத்துக்கொள்.
The noble thing entrusted [to thee], do thou guard, through means of the Holy Spirit which dwelleth within us.
15 ௧௫ ஆசியா நாட்டிலிருக்கிற அனைவரும், அவர்களில் பிகெல்லு, எர்மொகெனே என்பவர்கள் என்னைவிட்டு விலகினார்களென்று அறிந்திருக்கிறாய்.
Thou knowest this—that all they who are in Asia have turned away from me, —of whom are Phygelus and Hermogenes.
16 ௧௬ ஒநேசிப்போருவின் குடும்பத்தினருக்குக் கர்த்தர் இரக்கம் கட்டளையிடுவாராக; அவன் அநேகமுறை என்னை இளைப்பாரச்செய்தான்; என் கட்டுக்களைக்குறித்து அவன் வெட்கப்படவுமில்லை;
The Lord grant mercy unto the house, of Onesiphorus, in that, ofttimes, hath he refreshed me, and, as regardeth my chain, hath not been put to shame,
But, happening to be in Rome, he diligently sought out and found me, —
18 ௧௮ அந்த நாளிலே அவன் கர்த்தரிடத்தில் இரக்கத்தைக் கண்டடையும்படி, கர்த்தர் அவனுக்கு இரக்கம்செய்வாராக; அவன் எபேசுவிலே செய்த பலவிதமான உதவிகளையும் நீ நன்றாக அறிந்திருக்கிறாயே.
The Lord grant him to find mercy from [the] Lord in, that, day; —and, how many times, in Ephesus, he hath ministered, better art, thou, getting to know.
