2 தீமோத்தேயு 4
1 ௧ நான் தேவனுக்கு முன்பாகவும், உயிரோடு இருக்கிறவர்களையும் மரித்தவர்களையும் நியாயந்தீர்க்கப்போகிற கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவிற்கு முன்பாகவும், அவருடைய வருகையையும், அவருடைய ராஜ்யத்தையும் சாட்சியாக வைத்துக் கட்டளையிடுகிறதாவது:
I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the living and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
2 ௨ சமயம் வாய்த்தாலும் வாய்க்காவிட்டாலும் கவனமாக திருசனத்தைப் பிரசங்கம்பண்ணு; எல்லா நீடிய சாந்தத்தோடும் உபதேசத்தோடும் தவறென்று எடுத்துறைத்து, கடிந்துகொண்டு, புத்திசொல்லு.
Preach the word; be diligent in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
3 ௩ ஏனென்றால், அவர்கள் ஆரோக்கியமான உபதேசத்தைப் பொறுக்க மனதில்லாமல், செவி கொடுக்காதவர்களாகி, தங்களுடைய சுயவிருப்பங்களுக்குத் தகுந்த போதகர்களைத் தங்களுக்கு மிகுதியாக சேர்த்துக்கொண்டு.
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap up to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned to fables.
5 ௫ நீயோ எல்லாவற்றிலும் மனத்தெளிவுள்ளவனாக இரு, தீங்கு அனுபவி, சுவிசேஷகனுடைய வேலையைச் செய், உன் ஊழியத்தை நிறைவேற்று.
But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.
6 ௬ ஏனென்றால், நான் இப்பொழுதே பானபலியாகத் தந்துவிட்டேன்; நான் சரீரத்தைவிட்டுப் பிரியும் நேரம் வந்தது.
For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.
I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
8 ௮ இப்பொழுது நீதியின் கிரீடம் எனக்காக வைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது, நீதியுள்ள நியாயாதிபதியாகிய கர்த்தர் அந்த நாளிலே அதை எனக்குக் கொடுப்பார்; எனக்கு மாத்திரமல்ல, அவருடைய வருகையை விரும்பும் அனைவருக்கும் அதைக் கொடுப்பார்.
Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but to all them also that love his appearing.
Do thy diligence to come shortly to me:
10 ௧0 ஏனென்றால், தேமா இந்த உலகத்தின்மேல் ஆசைவைத்து, என்னைவிட்டுப் பிரிந்து, தெசலோனிக்கே பட்டணத்திற்குப் போய்விட்டான்; கிரெஸ்கே கலாத்தியா நாட்டிற்கும், தீத்து தல்மாத்தியா நாட்டிற்கும் போய்விட்டார்கள். (aiōn g165)
For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and hath departed to Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus to Dalmatia. (aiōn g165)
11 ௧௧ லூக்காமட்டும் என்னோடு இருக்கிறான். மாற்குவை உன்னோடு அழைத்துக்கொண்டுவா; ஊழியத்தில் அவன் எனக்குப் பிரயோஜனமுள்ளவன்.
Luke only is with me. Take Mark, and bring him with thee: for he is profitable to me for the ministry.
And Tychicus have I sent to Ephesus.
13 ௧௩ துரோவா பட்டணத்திலிருக்கிற கார்ப்பு என்பவனிடத்தில் நான் வைத்துவிட்டுவந்த மேலங்கியையும், புத்தகங்களையும், விசேஷமாகத் தோல் சுருள்களையும், நீ வருகிறபோது எடுத்துக்கொண்டுவா.
The cloke that I left at Troas with Carpus, when thou comest, bring with thee, and the books, but especially the parchments.
14 ௧௪ கன்னானாகிய அலெக்சந்தர் எனக்கு வெகு தீமைசெய்தான்; அவனுடைய செய்கைக்குத்தக்கதாகக் கர்த்தர் அவனுக்குப் பதிலளிப்பாராக.
Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to his works:
15 ௧௫ நீயும் அவனைக்குறித்து எச்சரிக்கையாக இரு; அவன் நம்முடைய வார்த்தைகளுக்கு மிகவும் எதிர்த்து நின்றவன்.
Of whom beware thou also; for he hath greatly withstood our words.
16 ௧௬ நான் முதல்முறை உத்தரவுசொல்ல நிற்கும்போது ஒருவனும் என்னோடுகூட இருக்கவில்லை, எல்லோரும் என்னைக் கைவிட்டார்கள்; அந்தக் குற்றம் அவர்கள்மேல் சாராதிருப்பதாக.
At my first defence no man stood with me, but all men forsook me: I pray God that it may not be laid to their charge.
17 ௧௭ கர்த்தரோ எனக்குத் துணையாக நின்று, என்னாலே பிரசங்கம் நிறைவேறுகிறதற்காகவும், யூதரல்லாத எல்லோரும் கேட்கிறதற்காகவும், என்னைப் பலப்படுத்தினார்; சிங்கத்தின் வாயிலிருந்தும் நான் காப்பாற்றப்பட்டேன்.
However the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully known, and that all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.
18 ௧௮ கர்த்தர் எல்லாத் தீமையிலிருந்தும் என்னை இரட்சித்து, தம்முடைய பரலோக ராஜ்யத்தை அடையும்படி காப்பாற்றுவார்; அவருக்கு எல்லாக் காலங்களிலும் மகிமை உண்டாவதாக. ஆமென். (aiōn g165)
And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me to his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
19 ௧௯ பிரிஸ்காளுக்கும் ஆக்கில்லாவிற்கும், ஒநேசிப்போருவின் குடும்பத்தினருக்கும் என் வாழ்த்துதலைச் சொல்லு.
Greet Prisca and Aquila, and the household of Onesiphorus.
20 ௨0 எரஸ்து கொரிந்து பட்டணத்தில் தங்கிவிட்டான்; துரோப்பீமுவை மிலேத்துவில் வியாதிப்பட்டவனாக விட்டுவந்தேன்.
Erastus abode at Corinth: but Trophimus I have left at Miletum sick.
21 ௨௧ மழைக்காலத்திற்குமுன் நீ வந்துசேரும்படி ஆயத்தப்படு. ஐபூலுவும், புதேஞ்சும், லீனுவும், கலவுதியாளும், மற்றெல்லா சகோதரர்களும் உனக்கு வாழ்த்துதல் சொல்லுகிறார்கள்.
Do thy diligence to come before winter. Eubulus greeteth thee, and Pudens, and Linus, and Claudia, and all the brethren.
The Lord Jesus Christ be with thy spirit. Grace be with you. Amen. The second epistle to Timothy, ordained the first bishop of the church of the Ephesians, was written from Rome, when Paul was brought before Nero the second time.
