2 யோவான் 1

1 ௧ நமக்குள் நிலைத்துநிற்கிறதும் என்றென்றைக்கும் நம்மோடு இருப்பதுமாகிய சத்தியத்திற்காக, நான்மட்டும் அல்ல, சத்தியத்தை அறிந்திருக்கிற எல்லோரும் சத்தியத்தின்படி நேசித்திருக்கிறவளும், (aiōn g165)

This letter comes from the elder to the chosen lady and her children, whom I love in the truth. Not just from me, but from everyone who knows the truth,

2 ௨ தெரிந்துகொள்ளப்பட்டத் தாயாருக்கும், அவளுடைய பிள்ளைகளுக்கும், மூப்பனாகிய நான் எழுதுகிறதாவது:

because the truth lives in us and will be with us forever. (aiōn g165)

3 ௩ பிதாவாகிய தேவனாலும் பிதாவின் குமாரனாக இருக்கிற கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவினாலும், கிருபையும் இரக்கமும், சமாதானமும், சத்தியத்தோடும் அன்போடும்கூட உங்களோடு இருப்பதாக.

May grace, mercy and peace continue to be with us, from God the Father and from Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and in love.

4 ௪ பிதாவினால் நாம் பெற்ற கட்டளையின்படி உம்முடைய பிள்ளைகளில் சிலர் சத்தியத்திலே நடக்கிறதை நான் பார்த்து மிகவும் சந்தோஷப்பட்டேன்.

I was delighted to discover that some of your children are following the truth, just as the Father commanded us.

5 ௫ இப்பொழுதும் தாயாரே, நாம் ஒருவரையொருவர் நேசிக்கவேண்டும் என்று, உமக்குப் புதிய கட்டளையாக எழுதாமல், ஆரம்பம் முதல் நமக்கு உண்டாயிருக்கிற கட்டளையாக எழுதி, உம்மை வேண்டிக்கொள்ளுகிறேன்.

Now I'm telling you, dear lady, not as a new instruction, but following what we've understood from the beginning, that we should love one another.

6 ௬ நாம் அவருடைய கட்டளைகளின்படி நடப்பதே அன்பு; நீங்கள் ஆரம்பமுதல் கேட்டிருக்கிறபடி நடந்துகொள்ளவேண்டிய கட்டளை இதுவே.

This is what love is: we should follow God's commands. The command, just as you heard right from the beginning, is that you should live in love.

7 ௭ சரீரத்தில் வந்த இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவை அறிக்கைபண்ணாத அநேக ஏமாற்றுக்காரர்கள் உலகத்திலே தோன்றியிருக்கிறார்கள்; இப்படிப்பட்டவனே ஏமாற்றுக்காரனும், அந்திக்கிறிஸ்துவுமாக இருக்கிறான்.

I'm telling you this because many deceivers have left and gone out into the world. They don't accept that Jesus Christ has come as a human being. Anyone like this is a deceiver and an antichrist.

8 ௮ உங்களுடைய செய்கைகளின் பலனை இழந்துபோகாமல், பூரண பலனைப் பெற்றுக்கொள்வதற்கு எச்சரிக்கையாக இருங்கள்.

Be careful that you don't lose what we've worked so hard for, and that you receive all that you should.

9 ௯ கிறிஸ்துவின் உபதேசத்திலே நிலைத்திருக்காமல் மீறி நடக்கிற எவனும் தேவனை உடையவன் இல்லை, கிறிஸ்துவின் உபதேசத்தில் நிலைத்திருக்கிறவனோ பிதாவையும் குமாரனையும் உடையவன்.

All those who become extremists and don't continue to follow the teaching of Christ don't have God with them. Those who continue to follow the teaching of Christ have both the Father and the Son with them.

10 ௧0 ஒருவன் உங்களிடம் வந்து இந்த உபதேசத்தைக் கொண்டுவராமல் இருந்தால், அவனை உங்களுடைய வீட்டிலே ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளாமலும், அவனுக்கு வாழ்த்துதல் சொல்லாமலும் இருங்கள்.

If people come to you and don't show evidence of Christ's teaching, don't take them in, don't welcome them—

11 ௧௧ அவனுக்கு வாழ்த்துதல் சொல்லுகிறவன் அவனுடைய கெட்டசெய்கைகளுக்கும் பங்குள்ளவன் ஆகிறான்.

for if you encourage them you share in their evil work.

12 ௧௨ உங்களுக்கு எழுதவேண்டிய காரியங்கள் அதிகம் உண்டு; காகிதத்தினாலும் மையினாலும் அவைகளை எழுத எனக்கு மனம் இல்லை. உங்களுடைய சந்தோஷம் நிறைவாக இருப்பதற்காக உங்களிடம் வந்து, முகமுகமாகப் பேசலாம் என்று நம்பியிருக்கிறேன்.

I have so many things to tell you that I won't write any more with paper and ink, for I hope to visit you and talk with you face to face. How happy that would make us!
