2 கொரிந்தியர் 10
1 ௧ உங்களுக்கு முன்பாக இருக்கும்போது தாழ்மையாகவும், தூரத்திலே இருக்கும்போது உங்கள்மேல் கண்டிப்புடனும் இருக்கிற பவுலாகிய நான் கிறிஸ்துவின் சாந்தத்தையும் தயவையும் முன்வைத்து உங்களுக்குப் புத்திசொல்லுகிறேன்.
Now I, Paul, am myself appealing to you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ (I who am ‘humble when present’ among you, but ‘bold when absent’ toward you).
2 ௨ எங்களை சரீரத்தின்படி நடக்கிறவர்கள் என்று நினைக்கிற சிலரைக்குறித்து நான் கண்டிப்புடன் இருக்கவேண்டும் என்று நினைத்திருக்கிற தைரியத்தோடு, உங்கள் முன்பாக இருக்கும்போது, நான் கண்டிப்புள்ளவனாக இல்லாதபடி நீங்கள் எச்சரிக்கையாக இருக்க உங்களை வேண்டிக்கொள்ளுகிறேன்.
Yes, I beg you, that when I am present I may not have to be bold with the confidence that I will ‘dare’ to visit upon some who think that we are walking in a fleshly manner.
Well, we do walk about in flesh, but we do not wage war that way,
4 ௪ எங்களுடைய போராயுதங்கள் சரீரத்திற்கு உரியவைகளாக இல்லாமல், அரண்களை அழிக்கிறதற்கு தேவபலமுள்ளவைகளாக இருக்கிறது.
because the weapons of our warfare are not physical, but are powerful in God for demolishing strongholds:
5 ௫ அவைகளால் நாங்கள் வாக்குவாதங்களையும், தேவனை அறிகிற அறிவிற்கு விரோதமாக எழும்புகிற எல்லா மேட்டிமையையும் அழித்து, எல்லா எண்ணங்களையும் கிறிஸ்துவிற்குக் கீழ்ப்படியுமாறு சிறைப்படுத்துகிறவர்களாக இருக்கிறோம்.
demolishing sophistries and every arrogance that sets itself up against the knowledge of God; taking captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ;
6 ௬ உங்களுடைய கீழ்ப்படிதல் நிறைவேறும்போது, எல்லாக் கீழ்ப்படியாமைக்கும் தகுந்த நீதியுள்ள தண்டனையைச் செலுத்த ஆயத்தமாக இருக்கிறோம்.
being ready to punish every act of disobedience, whenever your obedience is complete.
7 ௭ வெளித்தோற்றத்தின்படி பார்க்கிறீர்களா? ஒருவன் தன்னைக் கிறிஸ்துவிற்குரியவன் என்று நம்பினால், தான் கிறிஸ்துவிற்குரியவனாக இருக்கிறதுபோல நாங்களும் கிறிஸ்துவிற்குரியவர்கள் என்று அவன் தனக்குள்ளே சிந்திக்கட்டும்.
Do you only look at the ‘face’ of things? If anyone has persuaded himself that he is Christ's, let him consider this again with himself, that just as he is Christ's, so also we are Christ's.
8 ௮ மேலும், உங்களை அழிக்கிறதற்காக அல்ல, உங்களை உறுதியாகக் கட்டி எழுப்புகிறதற்குக் கர்த்தர் எங்களுக்குக் கொடுத்த அதிகாரத்தைக்குறித்து, நான் இன்னும் கொஞ்சம் அதிகமாக மேன்மைபாராட்டினாலும் நான் வெட்கப்படுவதில்லை.
Now even if I boast a little to excess about our authority (which the Lord gave us for building up, not to tear you down), I will not act ashamed,
so as not to appear to agree that it is only with letters that I ‘terrify’ you.
10 ௧0 அவனுடைய கடிதங்கள் கடினமானவையும் பலமும் உள்ளவைகள்; சரீரத்தின் தோற்றமோ பலவீனமும், வசனம் அற்பமாகவும் இருக்கிறது என்கிறார்களே.
Because some say, “His letters are ‘heavy’ and forceful, but his physical presence is weak, and his speech can be disdained.”
11 ௧௧ அப்படிச் சொல்லுகிறவன், நாங்கள் தூரத்தில் இருக்கும்போது எழுதுகிற கடிதங்களால் வசனத்தில் எப்படிப்பட்டவர்களாக இருக்கிறோமோ அப்படிப்பட்டவர்களாகவே அருகில் இருக்கும்போதும், செய்கையிலும் இருப்போம் என்று சிந்திக்கட்டும்.
Let such a person consider this, that what we are in word by letters while absent is just what we will be in action when present.
12 ௧௨ எனவே, தங்களைத்தாங்களே பெருமைப்படுத்திக் கொள்கிற சிலருக்கு நாங்கள் எங்களை சரியாக்கவும், ஒப்பிடவும் துணியமாட்டோம்; தங்களைக்கொண்டு தங்களையே அளந்துகொண்டு, தங்களுக்கே தங்களை ஒப்பிட்டுக்கொள்கிற அவர்கள் புத்திமான்கள் இல்லை.
Now we do not dare to class or compare ourselves with some who commend themselves; but they, measuring themselves by themselves and comparing themselves with themselves, are without understanding.
13 ௧௩ நாங்கள் அளவிற்கு மிஞ்சி மேன்மைபாராட்டாமல், உங்களிடம் வந்தடைவதற்காக, தேவன் எங்களுக்கு அளந்து பகிர்ந்த அளவுப்பிரமாணத்தின்படியே மேன்மைபாராட்டுகிறோம்.
We, however, will not boast beyond proper limits, but will stay within the boundaries that God assigned to us, a field that includes you.
14 ௧௪ உங்களிடம் வந்தடையாதவர்களாக நாங்கள் அளவிற்கு மிஞ்சிப்போகிறது இல்லை; நாங்கள் கிறிஸ்துவின் நற்செய்தியைப் பிரசங்கித்து உங்களிடம் வந்தோமே.
For we are not overextending ourselves, as though we had not reached you, because we did indeed get to you with the Gospel of Christ;
nor do we boast ‘off limits’ in the labors of others, but we have hope that as your faith grows our boundaries will be greatly expanded through you,
16 ௧௬ ஆனாலும் உங்களுடைய விசுவாசம் பெருகும்போது, மற்றவர்களுடைய எல்லைகளுக்குள்ளே செய்யப்பட்டவைகளை நாங்கள் செய்ததாக மேன்மைபாராட்டாமல், உங்களுக்கு அப்பால் உள்ள இடங்களில் நற்செய்தியைப் பிரசங்கிக்கத்தக்கதாக, எங்களுடைய அளவின்படி உங்களால் மிகவும் பெருகி விருத்தியடைவோம் என்று நம்பிக்கையாக இருக்கிறோம்.
so as to evangelize the regions beyond you (not to boast in work already done in someone else's field).
“He who boasts, let him boast in the Lord.”
Because it is not the one who commends himself who is approved, but whom the Lord commends.
