2 நாளாகமம் 19
And Josaphat king of Juda returned to his house at Jerusalem.
2 ௨ அப்பொழுது அனானியின் மகனாகிய யெகூ என்னும் தரிசனம் காண்கிறவன் புறப்பட்டு, அவனைச் சந்தித்து, ராஜாவாகிய யோசபாத்தை நோக்கி: துன்மார்க்கனுக்குத் துணைநின்று, யெகோவாவைப் பகைக்கிறவர்களை நீர் சிநேகிக்கலாமா? இதனால் யெகோவாவுடைய கடுங்கோபம் உம்மேல் வர இருந்தது.
And there went out to meet him Jeu the prophet the son of Anani, and said to him, King Josaphat, do you help a sinner, or act friendly towards one hated of the Lord? Therefore has wrath come upon you from the Lord.
3 ௩ ஆகிலும் நீர் விக்கிரகத்தோப்புகளைத் தேசத்தைவிட்டு அகற்றி, தேவனைத் தேட உம்முடைய இருதயத்தை நேராக்கின காரியத்தில் நன்மையான காரியங்கள் உம்மிடத்திலே காணப்பட்டது உண்டு என்றான்.
Nevertheless [some] good things have been found in you, forasmuch as you did remove the groves from the land of Juda, and did direct your heart to seek after the Lord.
4 ௪ யோசபாத் எருசலேமிலே குடியிருந்து, திரும்ப பெயர்செபா தொடங்கி, எப்பிராயீம் மலைத்தேசம்வரை உள்ள மக்களுக்குள்ளே பிரயாணமாகப் போய், அவர்களைத் தங்கள் பிதாக்களுடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரிடம் திரும்பச்செய்தான்.
And Josaphat lived in Jerusalem: and he again went out among the people from Bersabee to the mount of Ephraim, and turned them back to the Lord God of their fathers.
And he appointed judges in all the strong cities of Juda, city by city.
6 ௬ அந்த நியாயாதிபதிகளை நோக்கி: நீங்கள் செய்கிற காரியத்தைக் குறித்து எச்சரிக்கையாயிருங்கள்; நீங்கள் மனிதனுடைய கட்டளையினால் அல்ல, யெகோவாவுடைய கட்டளையினால் நியாயம் விசாரிக்கிறீர்கள்; நியாயம் விசாரிக்கிற காரியத்திலே அவர் உங்களுடனே இருக்கிறார்.
And he said to the judges, Take good heed what you do: for you judge not for man, but for the Lord, and with you are matters of judgment.
7 ௭ ஆதலால் யெகோவாவுக்குப் பயப்படுகிற பயம் உங்களிடத்தில் இருப்பதாக, எச்சரிக்கையாயிருந்து காரியத்தை நடத்துங்கள்; உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரிடத்திலே அநியாயமும் பாரபட்சமும் இல்லை, லஞ்சம் வாங்குதலும் அவரிடத்திலே செல்லாது என்றான்.
And now let the fear of the Lord be upon you, and be wary, and do [your duty]: for there is no unrighteousness with the Lord our God, neither [is it for him] to respect persons, nor take bribes.
8 ௮ அவர்கள் எருசலேமில் வந்திருக்கும்போது, யோசபாத் லேவியர்களிலும், ஆசாரியர்களிலும், இஸ்ரவேலுடைய வம்சத்தலைவரிலும், சிலரைக் யெகோவாவுடைய நியாயங்களைக்குறித்தும் விவாதக் காரியங்களைக்குறித்தும் விசாரிக்கும்படி எருசலேமிலே நியமித்து,
Moreover Josaphat appointed in Jerusalem some of the priests, and Levites, and heads of houses of Israel, for the judgment of the Lord, and to judge the dwellers in Jerusalem.
9 ௯ அவர்களுக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டதாவது: நீங்கள் யெகோவாவுக்குப் பயந்து, உண்மையோடும் உத்தம இருதயத்தோடும் நடந்து, செய்யவேண்டியது என்னவென்றால்,
And he charged them, saying, Thus shall you do in the fear of the Lord, in truth and with a perfect heart.
10 ௧0 பலவித இரத்தப்பழியைக்குறித்த காரியங்களும், பிரமாணத்திற்கும், கற்பனைக்கும், கட்டளைகளுக்கும், நியாயங்களுக்கும் அடுத்த பலவித வழக்குச்செய்திகளும், தங்கள் பட்டணங்களிலே குடியிருக்கிற உங்கள் சகோதரரிடத்திலிருந்து உங்களிடத்தில் வரும்போது, அவர்கள் யெகோவாவுக்கு முன்பாகக் குற்றவாளிகள் ஆகாமலிருக்கவும், உங்கள்மேலும் உங்கள் சகோதரர்கள் மேலும் கடுங்கோபம் வராமலிருக்கவும், நீங்கள் அவர்களை எச்சரியுங்கள்; நீங்கள் இப்படிச் செய்தால் குற்றவாளிகள் ஆகமாட்டீர்கள்.
Whatsoever man of your brethren that dwell in their cities [shall bring] the cause that comes before you, between blood [and] blood, and between precept and commandment, and ordinances and judgments, you shall even decide for them; so they shall not sin against the Lord, and there shall not be wrath upon you, and upon your brethren: thus you shall do, and you shall not sin.
11 ௧௧ இதோ, ஆசாரியனாகிய அமரியா, யெகோவாவுக்குரிய எல்லா நியாயத்திலும், இஸ்மவேலின் மகனாகிய செபதியா என்னும் யூதா வம்சத்தின் தலைவன் ராஜாவுக்குரிய எல்லா நியாயத்திலும் உங்களுக்கு மேலான நியாயாதிபதிகள்; லேவியர்களும் உங்களுக்கு முன்பாக அதிகாரிகளாக இருந்து உங்களுக்கு உதவி செய்வார்கள்; நீங்கள் திடமனதாயிருந்து காரியங்களை நடத்துங்கள், உத்தமனுக்குக் யெகோவா துணை என்றான்.
And, behold, Amarias the priest is head over you in every matter of the Lord; and Zabdias the son of Ismael is head over the house of Juda in every matter of the king; and the scribes and Levites are before you: be strong and active, and the Lord shall be with the good.
