1 தெசலோனிக்கேயர் 3
1 ௧ ஆகவே, நாங்கள் இனிக் காத்திருக்கமுடியாமல், அத்தேனே பட்டணத்தில் தனிமையாக இருப்பது நல்லது என்று நினைத்தோம்.
Therefore no longer containing, we delighted to be left alone at Athens;
2 ௨ இந்த உபத்திரவங்களினாலே ஒருவனும் அசைக்கப்படாதபடிக்கு உங்களைத் திடப்படுத்தவும், உங்களுடைய விசுவாசத்தைப்பற்றி உங்களுக்குப் புத்திசொல்லவும், நம்முடைய சகோதரனும் தேவ ஊழியக்காரனும் கிறிஸ்துவின் நற்செய்தியில் எங்களுடைய உடன்வேலையாளுமாகிய தீமோத்தேயுவை அனுப்பினோம்.
and we sent Timothy, our brother and minister of God in the gospel of Christ, in order to establish you, and exhort you concerning your faith;
3 ௩ இப்படிப்பட்ட உபத்திரவங்களைச் சகிக்க நாம் நியமிக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறோமென்று நீங்கள் அறிந்திருக்கிறீர்களே.
that no one should be shaken in these tribulations. For you know that for this we are appointed.
4 ௪ நமக்கு உபத்திரவம் வருமென்று நாங்கள் உங்களிடத்திலிருந்தபோது, உங்களுக்கு முன்னறிவித்தோம்; அப்படியே சம்பவித்ததென்றும் அறிந்திருக்கிறீர்கள்.
For indeed, when we were with you, we foretold you that we are about to suffer tribulation; as indeed took place, and you know it.
5 ௫ ஆகவே, நான் இனிப் பொறுத்திருக்கமுடியாமல், எங்களுடைய வேலை வீணாகப்போகத்தக்கதாகச் சோதனைக்காரன் உங்களைச் சோதனைக்கு உட்படுத்தினதுண்டோவென்று, உங்களுடைய விசுவாசத்தை அறியும்படிக்கு அவனை அனுப்பினேன்.
Therefore I indeed, no longer containing, sent that I might know your faith, lest perhaps the tempter tempted you, and our labor may be in vain.
6 ௬ இப்பொழுது தீமோத்தேயு உங்களிடமிருந்து எங்களிடம் வந்து, உங்களுடைய விசுவாசத்தையும் அன்பையும்குறித்து, நீங்கள் எப்பொழுதும் எங்களை அன்பாக நினைத்துக்கொண்டு, நாங்கள் உங்களைக் காண வாஞ்சையாக இருக்கிறதுபோல நீங்களும் எங்களைக் காண வாஞ்சையாக இருக்கிறீர்கள் என்பதைக்குறித்தும், எங்களுக்கு நற்செய்தி சொன்னதினாலே,
But Timothy, having already come to us from you, and proclaimed to us the good news of your faith and your divine love, and that you always have a good mention of us, longing to see us, as we do to see you;
7 ௭ சகோதரர்களே, எங்களுக்குச் சம்பவித்த எல்லா நெருக்கத்திலும், உபத்திரவத்திலும் உங்களுடைய விசுவாசத்தினாலே உங்களால் ஆறுதல் அடைந்தோம்.
therefore we were comforted, brethren, over you in all our distress and tribulation on account of your faith;
because we now live, if you stand in the Lord.
9 ௯ மேலும், நம்முடைய தேவனுக்குமுன்பாக நாங்கள் உங்களைக்குறித்து அடைந்திருக்கிற மிகுந்த சந்தோஷத்திற்காக, நாங்கள் தேவனுக்கு எவ்விதமாக நன்றி செலுத்துவோம்?
For what thanks are we able to render unto God in your behalf, for all the joy with which we rejoice on account of you before our God;
10 ௧0 உங்களுடைய முகத்தைக் கண்டு, உங்களுடைய விசுவாசத்தின் குறைவுகளை நிறைவாக்கும்படிக்கு, இரவும் பகலும் மிகவும் வேண்டிக்கொள்ளுகிறோமே.
night and day praying incessantly that we may see your face, and perfect the deficiencies of your faith?
11 ௧௧ நம்முடைய பிதாவாகிய தேவனும் நம்முடைய கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவும் உங்களிடத்திற்கு எங்களை நேராக வழிநடத்துவாராக.
But God himself, even our Father, and our Lord Jesus, direct our way unto you:
12 ௧௨ நாங்கள் உங்களிடம் வைத்திருக்கிற அன்புக்கு ஒப்பாக, நீங்களும் ஒருவரிலொருவர் வைக்கும் அன்பிலும் மற்ற எல்லா மனிதர்களிடத்தில் வைக்கும் அன்பிலும் கர்த்தர் உங்களைப் பெருகவும் நிலைத்தோங்கவும் செய்து,
and the Lord fill you and cause you to superabound in divine love toward one another, and toward all, even as we also do towards you;
13 ௧௩ இவ்விதமாக நம்முடைய கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்து தமது பரிசுத்தவான்கள் அனைவரோடும்கூட வரும்போது, நீங்கள் நம்முடைய பிதாவாகிய தேவனுக்கு முன்பாகப் பிழையற்ற பரிசுத்தமுள்ளவர்களாக இருக்கும்படி உங்களுடைய இருதயங்களைப் பலப்படுத்துவாராக.
in order to establish your hearts blameless in holiness in the presence of God even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all his saints: amen.
