1 சாமுவேல் 10
1 ௧ அப்பொழுது சாமுவேல் தைலக்குப்பியை எடுத்து, அவனுடைய தலையின்மேல் ஊற்றி, அவனை முத்தமிட்டு: யெகோவா உன்னைத் தம்முடைய சுதந்தரத்தின்மேல் தலைவனாக அபிஷேகம்செய்தார் அல்லவா?
Then took Samuel a flask of oil, and poured out upon his head, and kissed him, —and said—Is it not, that Yahweh hath anointed thee over his inheritance, as leader?
2 ௨ நீ இன்றைக்கு என்னைவிட்டுப் போகிறபோது, பென்யமீன் எல்லையான செல்சாகில் ராகேலின் கல்லறைக்கு அருகில் இரண்டு மனிதர்களைக் காண்பாய்; அவர்கள் உன்னைப் பார்த்து: நீ தேடப்போன கழுதைகள் கண்டுபிடிக்கப்பட்டது; இதோ, உன் தகப்பன் கழுதைகளைப்பற்றிய கவலையைவிட்டு, உங்களுக்காக கவலைப்பட்டு, என் மகனுக்காக என்ன செய்வேன்? என்கிறான் என்று சொல்வார்கள்.
When thou departest, to-day, from me, then shalt thou find two men by the grave of Rachel, within the boundary of Benjamin, in Zelzah, —and they will say unto thee, The asses are found, which thou wentest to seek, and lo! thy father hath abandoned caring for the asses, and is concerned for you, saying, What shall I do for my son?
3 ௩ நீ அந்த இடத்தைவிட்டு அப்புறம் கடந்துபோய், தாபோரிலுள்ள சமபூமியிலே சேரும்போது, தேவனைப் பணியும்படி பெத்தேலுக்குப் போகிற மூன்று மனிதர்கள் அங்கே உன்னைக் கண்டு சந்திப்பார்கள்; ஒருவன் மூன்று ஆட்டுக்குட்டிகளையும், இன்னொருவன் மூன்று அப்பங்களையும், வேறொருவன் திராட்சை ரசமுள்ள ஒரு தோல்பையும் கொண்டுவந்து,
Then shalt thou pass on quickly from thence onwards, and come as far as the oak of Tabor, and there shall find thee there, three men going up unto God, at Bethel, —one, carrying three kids, and, another, carrying three cakes of bread, and, another, carrying a skin of wine;
4 ௪ உன்னுடைய சுகசெய்தியை விசாரித்து, உனக்கு இரண்டு அப்பங்களைக் கொடுப்பார்கள்; அவைகளை நீ அவர்கள் கையிலே வாங்கவேண்டும்.
then will they ask thee, of thy welfare, —and give thee two cakes of bread, which thou shalt receive at their hand.
5 ௫ பின்பு பெலிஸ்தர்களின் முகாம் இருக்கிற தேவனுடைய மலைக்குப் போவாய்; அங்கே நீ பட்டணத்திற்குள் வரும்போது, மேடையிலிருந்து இறங்கி வருகிற தீர்க்கதரிசிகளின் கூட்டத்தைச் சந்திப்பாய்; அவர்களுக்கு முன்பாகத் தம்புரும், மேளமும், நாகசுரமும், சுரமண்டலமும் போகும்; அவர்கள் தீர்க்கதரிசனம் சொல்வார்கள்.
After that, shalt thou come unto the hill of God, where is the garrison of the Philistines, —and it shall be, as thou comest in thither into the city, thou shalt light upon a band of prophets, coming down from the high place, and, before them, a harp, and a timbrel, and a flute, and a lyre, they having been moved to prophesy.
6 ௬ அப்பொழுது யெகோவாவுடைய ஆவி உன்மேல் இறங்குவார்; நீ அவர்களோடு தீர்க்கதரிசனம் சொல்லி, வேறு மனிதனாவாய்.
Then will come suddenly upon thee, the Spirit of Yahweh, and thou shalt be moved to prophesy with them, —and shalt be changed into another man.
And it shall be, when these signs shall come unto thee, then act thou for thyself, as thou shalt find occasion, for, God, is with thee.
8 ௮ நீ எனக்கு முன்னே கில்காலுக்கு இறங்கிப்போ; சர்வாங்க தகனபலிகளையும் சமாதானபலிகளையும் செலுத்தும்படி, நான் உன்னிடத்தில் வருவேன்; நான் உன்னிடத்தில் வந்து, நீ செய்யவேண்டியதை உனக்கு அறிவிக்கும்வரை, ஏழு நாட்கள் காத்திரு என்றான்.
And thou shalt go down before me to Gilgal, for lo! I am coming down unto thee, to offer up ascending-offerings, to sacrifice peace-offerings, —seven days, shalt thou tarry, until I come unto thee, then will I let thee know what thou shalt do.
9 ௯ அவன் சாமுவேலைவிட்டுப் போகும்படி திரும்பினபோது, தேவன் அவனுக்கு வேறு இருதயத்தைக் கொடுத்தார்; அந்த அடையாளங்கள் எல்லாம் அன்றையதினமே நடந்தது.
And so it was, that, when he turned away to depart from Samuel, God gave him another heart, —and all these signs came to pass that day.
10 ௧0 அவர்கள் அந்த மலைக்கு வந்தபோது, இதோ, தீர்க்கதரிசிகளின் கூட்டம் அவனுக்கு எதிராக வந்தது; அப்பொழுது தேவனுடைய ஆவி அவன்மேல் இறங்கியதால், அவனும் அவர்களுக்குள்ளே தீர்க்கதரிசனம் சொன்னான்.
And, when they came thither to the hill, lo! a band of prophets coming to meet him, —then came suddenly upon him, the Spirit of God, and he was moved to prophesy in their midst.
11 ௧௧ அதற்கு முன்னே அவனை அறிந்தவர்கள் எல்லோரும் அவன் தீர்க்கதரிசிகளோடிருந்து, தீர்க்கதரிசனம் சொல்கிறதைப் பார்த்தபோது: கீசின் மகனுக்கு வந்தது என்ன? சவுலும் தீர்க்கதரிசிகளில் ஒருவனோ? என்று அந்த மக்கள் ஒருவருக்கு ஒருவர் சொல்லிக்கொண்டார்கள்.
And it came to pass, that, all who knew him aforetime, looked, and lo! with the prophets, he did prophesy. So the people said, one to another—What, now, hath befallen the son of Kish? Is, even Saul, among the prophets?
12 ௧௨ அதற்கு அங்கே இருக்கிறவர்களில் ஒருவன்: இவர்களுக்குத் தகப்பன் யார் என்றான்; ஆதலால் சவுலும் தீர்க்கதரிசிகளில் ஒருவனோ? என்பது பழமொழியானது.
Then responded one of that place, and said, But who is, their father? For this cause, it became a proverb, Is, even Saul, among the prophets?
And, when he had made an end of prophesying, he came to the high place.
14 ௧௪ அப்பொழுது சவுலுடைய சிறிய தகப்பன்: நீங்கள் எங்கே போனீர்கள் என்று அவனையும் அவனுடைய வேலைக்காரனையும் கேட்டான். அதற்கு அவன்: நாங்கள் கழுதைகளைத் தேடப்போய், அவைகளை எங்கும் காணாததால், சாமுவேலிடத்திற்குப் போனோம் என்றான்.
Then said Saul’s uncle unto him, and unto his young man—Whither have ye been? And he said, To seek the asses, and, when they were nowhere, to be seen, we came unto Samuel.
And Saul’s uncle said, —Do tell me, I pray thee, what Samuel said to you.
16 ௧௬ சவுல் தன் சிறிய தகப்பனைப் பார்த்து: கழுதைகள் கண்டுபிடிக்கப்பட்டது என்று எங்களுக்கு வெளிப்படையாக சொன்னார் என்றான்; ஆனாலும் ராஜ்ஜிய காரியத்தைப்பற்றிச் சாமுவேல் சொன்னதை அவனுக்கு அறிவிக்கவில்லை.
And Saul said unto his uncle, He, told, us that the asses were found, —but, as to the matter of the kingdom, he told him not what Samuel had said.
Then Samuel called out the people, unto Yahweh, at Mizpah,
18 ௧௮ இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களைப் பார்த்து: இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய யெகோவா சொல்கிறது என்னவென்றால், நான் இஸ்ரவேலை எகிப்திலிருந்து புறப்படச்செய்த, உங்களை எகிப்தியர்களின் கைக்கும், உங்களைத் துன்பப்படுத்தின எல்லா ராஜாக்களின் கைக்கும் மீட்டுவிட்டேன்.
and said unto the sons of Israel—Thus, saith Yahweh, God of Israel: I myself, brought up Israel, out of Egypt, —and rescued you out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of all the kingdoms that distressed you.
19 ௧௯ நீங்களோ உங்களுடைய எல்லாத் தீங்குகளுக்கும் நெருக்கங்களுக்கும் உங்களை மீட்டு இரட்சித்த உங்கள் தேவனை இந்த நாளிலே புறக்கணித்து, ஒரு ராஜாவை எங்களுக்கு ஏற்படுத்தும் என்று அவரிடத்தில் கேட்டுக்கொண்டீர்கள்; இப்பொழுது யெகோவாவுக்கு முன்பாக உங்கள் கோத்திரத்தின் படியும், வம்சங்களின்படியும் வந்து நில்லுங்கள் என்றான்.
Yet, ye, to-day, have rejected your God, who, himself, hath been giving you salvation from all your calamities and your distresses, and ye have said to him: A king, shalt thou set over us, —Now, therefore, present yourselves before Yahweh, by your tribes, and by your thousands.
20 ௨0 சாமுவேல் இஸ்ரவேலின் கோத்திரங்களையெல்லாம் அருகில் வரச்செய்தபின்பு பென்யமீனின் கோத்திரத்தின்மேல் சீட்டு விழுந்தது.
And, when Samuel had brought near all the tribes of Israel, then was taken the tribe of Benjamin.
21 ௨௧ அவன் பென்யமீன் கோத்திரத்தை அதினுடைய குடும்பங்களின்படி அருகில் வரச்செய்தபின்பு, மாத்திரி குடும்பத்தின்மேலும், அதிலே கீசின் மகனான சவுலின்மேலும், சீட்டு விழுந்தது; அவனைத் தேடினபோது, அவன் காணவில்லை.
And, when he had brought near the tribe of Benjamin, by their families, then was taken the family of Matri, —and, when he had brought near the family of Matri, man by man, then was taken Saul the son of Kish; so they sought him, but he was not to be found.
22 ௨௨ அவன் இனி இங்கே வருவானா என்று அவர்கள் திரும்பக் யெகோவாவிடத்தில் விசாரித்தபோது: இதோ, அவன் பொருட்கள் வைக்கிற இடத்திலே ஒளிந்துகொண்டிருக்கிறான் என்று யெகோவா சொன்னார்.
Then asked they again of Yahweh, Hath there yet to come in hither a man? And Yahweh said, Lo! he, hath hid himself among the stores.
23 ௨௩ அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் ஓடி, அங்கேயிருந்து அவனை அழைத்துக்கொண்டு வந்தார்கள்; அவன் மக்கள் நடுவே வந்து நின்றபோது, எல்லா மக்களும் அவனுடைய தோளிற்கு கீழ் இருந்தார்கள். இவன் அவர்களை விட உயரமுள்ளவனாயிருந்தான்.
So they ran, and fetched him thence, and, when he presented himself in the midst of the people, then was he [seen to be] taller than any of the people, from his shoulders and upwards.
24 ௨௪ அப்பொழுது சாமுவேல் எல்லா மக்களையும் பார்த்து: யெகோவா தெரிந்து கொண்டவனைப் பாருங்கள், எல்லா மக்களுக்குள்ளும் அவனுக்குச் சமமானவன் இல்லை என்றான்; அப்பொழுது மக்கள் எல்லோரும் ஆர்ப்பரித்து: ராஜா வாழ்க என்றார்கள்.
And Samuel said unto all the people—Have ye seen him whom Yahweh hath chosen, that there is none like him, among all the people? And all the people shouted, and said—Let the king live!
25 ௨௫ சாமுவேல் ராஜ்ஜிய முறையை மக்களுக்குத் தெரிவித்து, அதை ஒரு புத்தகத்தில் எழுதி, யெகோவாவுக்கு முன்பாக வைத்து, மக்களையெல்லாம் அவரவர் வீட்டுக்கு அனுப்பிவிட்டான்.
Then Samuel declared unto the people the manner of the kingdom, and wrote it in a scroll, and laid it up before Yahweh. And Samuel sent away all the people, every man to his own house.
26 ௨௬ சவுலும் கிபியாவிலிருக்கிற தன் வீட்டுக்குப் போனான்; இராணுவத்தில் தேவன் எவர்கள் மனதைத் தூண்டினாரோ, அவர்களும் அவனோடு போனார்கள்.
Yea, even Saul, went to his own house, at Gibeah, —and the valiant men whose heart God had moved went with him.
27 ௨௭ ஆனாலும் சில பயனற்ற மக்கள்: இவனா நம்மைக் காப்பாற்றப்போகிறவன் என்று சொல்லி, அவனுக்குக் காணிக்கை கொண்டுவராமல் அவனை அசட்டைசெய்தார்கள்; அவனோ காது கேட்காதவனைப்போல இருந்தான்.
But, abandoned men, said—How can this one save us? So they treated him with contempt, and brought him no present, —but he was as one that was deaf.
