1 பேதுரு 1
1 ௧ இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் அப்போஸ்தலனாகிய பேதுரு, பொந்து, கலாத்தியா, கப்பத்தோக்கியா, ஆசியா, பித்தினியா தேசங்களிலே சிதறியிருக்கிறவர்களில்,
Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the sojourners scattered abroad in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, chosen
2 ௨ பிதாவாகிய தேவனுடைய முன்னறிவின்படியே, பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவரின் பரிசுத்தமாக்குதலினாலே, இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவிற்கு கீழ்ப்படிவதற்காகவும், அவருடைய இரத்தம் தெளிக்கப்படுவதற்காகவும் தெரிந்துகொள்ளப்பட்ட அந்நியர்களாக இருப்பவர்களுக்கு எழுதுகிறதாவது: கிருபை உங்களோடு இருந்து, உங்களுடைய சமாதானம் பெருகட்டும்.
according to the foreknowledge of God the Father and sanctified by the Spirit to be obedient to Jesus Christ and to be sprinkled with his blood: Grace and peace be multiplied to you.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
4 ௪ தேவன், இயேசுகிறிஸ்து மரித்தோரிலிருந்து உயிரோடு எழுந்ததினாலே, அழியாததும், மாசு இல்லாததும், மகிமை குறையாததுமாகிய, சுதந்திரத்திற்கேதுவாக, ஜீவனுள்ள நம்பிக்கை உண்டாவதற்கு, தமது மிகுந்த இரக்கத்தின்படியே நம்மை மீண்டும் பிறக்கச்செய்தார்.
to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, reserved in heaven for you,
5 ௫ கடைசிக்காலத்திலே வெளிப்பட ஆயத்தமாயிருக்கிற இரட்சிப்பிற்குரிய விசுவாசத்தைக் கொண்டு தேவனுடைய பலத்தினாலே காக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிற உங்களுக்கு அந்தச் சொத்து பரலோகத்தில் வைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது.
who by the power of God are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
6 ௬ இதிலே நீங்கள் மிகவும் சந்தோஷப்படுகிறீர்கள்; என்றாலும், துன்பப்படவேண்டியது அவசியம் என்பதால், இப்பொழுது கொஞ்சக்காலம் பலவிதமான சோதனைகளினாலே துக்கப்படுகிறீர்கள்.
In this you rejoice, even if now for a little while you have had to suffer various trials
7 ௭ அழிந்துபோகிற தங்கம் நெருப்பினாலே சோதிக்கப்படும்; அதைவிட அதிக விலையுயர்ந்த உங்களுடைய விசுவாசம் சோதிக்கப்பட்டு, இயேசுகிறிஸ்து வெளிப்படும்போது உங்களுக்குப் புகழ்ச்சியும் கனமும் மகிமையும் உண்டாகக் காணப்படும்.
so that the proven character of your faith—far more precious than gold that perishes even though it is tested by fire—may result in praise, honor, and glory when Jesus Christ is revealed.
8 ௮ நீங்கள் அவரைப் பார்க்காமல் இருந்தும் அவரை நேசிக்கிறீர்கள்; இப்பொழுது நீங்கள் அவரைப் பார்க்காமல் இருந்தும் அவர்மேல் விசுவாசம் வைத்து, சொல்லமுடியாததும், மகிமையினால் நிறைந்ததுமாக இருக்கிற சந்தோஷம் உள்ளவர்களாகக் களிகூர்ந்து,
Although you once did not know him, you love him; although you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with an unspeakable and glorious joy,
because you are receiving the end result of your faith—the salvation of your souls.
10 ௧0 உங்களுக்கு உண்டான கிருபையைப்பற்றித் தீர்க்கதரிசனம் சொன்ன தீர்க்கதரிசிகள் இந்த இரட்சிப்பைப்பற்றிக் கருத்தாகத் தேடி ஆராய்ந்து பார்த்தார்கள்;
Concerning this salvation, the prophets who prophesied about the grace that would come to you searched and carefully investigated,
11 ௧௧ தங்களுக்குள் உள்ள கிறிஸ்துவின் ஆவியானவர் கிறிஸ்துவிற்கு உண்டாகும் பாடுகளையும், அவைகளுக்குப்பின்பு வரும் மகிமைகளையும் முன்னமே அறிவித்தபோது, இந்தக் காலத்தைக் குறித்தார் என்பதையும், அந்தக் காலத்தின் விசேஷம் என்ன என்பதையும் ஆராய்ந்தார்கள்.
inquiring about the time and circumstances that the Spirit of Christ within them was indicating when he testified in advance to the sufferings of Christ and the glories that would follow.
12 ௧௨ தங்களுக்காக இல்லை, நமக்காகவே இவைகளைத் தெரிவித்தார்கள் என்று அவர்களுக்கு வெளிப்படுத்தப்பட்டது; பரலோகத்திலிருந்து அனுப்பப்பட்ட பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவராலே உங்களுக்கு நற்செய்தியைப் பிரசங்கம்பண்ணினவர்கள் மூலமாக இவைகள் இப்பொழுது உங்களுக்கு அறிவிக்கப்பட்டுவருகிறது; இவைகளைத் தெரிந்துகொள்ள தேவதூதர்களும் ஆசையாக இருக்கிறார்கள்.
It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves, but you, in regard to the things that have now been announced to you through those who preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. Even angels long to catch a glimpse of these things.
13 ௧௩ ஆகவே, நீங்கள் உங்களுடைய மனதை ஆயத்தப்படுத்தி, தெளிவான புத்தி உள்ளவர்களாக இருந்து; இயேசுகிறிஸ்து வெளிப்படும்போது உங்களுக்கு அளிக்கப்படும் கிருபையின்மேல் பூரண நம்பிக்கை உள்ளவர்களாக இருங்கள்.
Therefore, with minds that are alert and fully sober, set your hope completely on the grace that will be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed.
14 ௧௪ நீங்கள் முன்பே உங்களுடைய அறியாமையினாலே, உங்களுக்குள் இருந்த இச்சைகளின்படி இனி நடக்காமல், கீழ்ப்படிகிற பிள்ளைகளாக இருந்து,
As children of obedience, do not conform yourselves to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance.
15 ௧௫ உங்களை அழைத்தவர் பரிசுத்தராக இருக்கிறதுபோல, நீங்களும் உங்களுடைய நடக்கைகள் எல்லாவற்றிலும் பரிசுத்தமாக இருங்கள்.
But just as he who called you is holy, you also must be holy in all your conduct,
for it is written, “Be holy, because I am holy.”
17 ௧௭ அன்றியும், பட்சபாதம் இல்லாமல் அவனவனுடைய செய்கைகளின்படி நியாயந்தீர்க்கிறவரை நீங்கள் பிதாவாகத் தொழுதுகொள்ளுகிறதினால், இங்கே அந்நியர்களைப்போல பயத்தோடு வாழுங்கள்.
If you call on the Father who judges without partiality according to each person's work, pass the time of your sojourn in reverent fear.
18 ௧௮ உங்களுடைய முன்னோர்களால் பாரம்பரியமாக நீங்கள் கடைபிடித்துவந்த வீணான செயல்களில் இருந்து, அழிவுள்ள பொருட்களாகிய வெள்ளியினாலும் தங்கத்தினாலும் மீட்கப்படாமல்,
For you know that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your fathers, not with perishable things like silver or gold,
19 ௧௯ குற்றம் இல்லாத, மாசு இல்லாத ஆட்டுக்குட்டியாகிய கிறிஸ்துவின் விலையுயர்ந்த இரத்தத்தினாலே மீட்கப்பட்டீர்கள் என்று தெரிந்திருக்கிறீர்களே.
but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or spot.
20 ௨0 அவர் உலகம் உருவாவதற்கு முன்னமே தெரிந்துகொள்ளப்பட்டவராக இருந்து, தமது மூலமாக தேவன்மேல் விசுவாசமாக இருக்கிற உங்களுக்காக இந்தக் கடைசிக்காலங்களில் வெளிப்பட்டார்.
He was foreknown before the foundation of the world, but was revealed in the last times for your sake.
21 ௨௧ உங்களுடைய விசுவாசமும் நம்பிக்கையும் தேவன்மேல் இருப்பதற்காக, அவரை மரித்தோரிலிருந்து உயிரோடு எழுப்பி, அவருக்கு மகிமையைக் கொடுத்தார்.
Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and gave him glory, so that your faith and hope might be in God.
22 ௨௨ ஆகவே, நீங்கள் மாய்மாலம் இல்லாத சகோதர அன்பு உள்ளவர்களாவதற்கு, ஆவியானவராலே சத்தியத்திற்குக் கீழ்ப்படிந்து, உங்களுடைய ஆத்துமாக்களைச் சுத்தமாக்கிக்கொண்டவர்களாக இருக்கிறதினால், சுத்தமான இருதயத்தோடு ஒருவரையொருவர் ஊக்கமாக நேசியுங்கள்;
Since you have purified your souls by your obedience to the truth through the Spirit, resulting in genuine brotherly love, love one another deeply, from a pure heart.
23 ௨௩ அழிவுள்ள விதையினாலே இல்லை, என்றென்றைக்கும் நிலைத்துநிற்கிறதும், ஜீவன் உள்ளதுமான தேவவசனமாகிய அழிவில்லாத விதையினாலே மீண்டும் பிறந்திருக்கிறீர்களே. (aiōn g165)
For you have been born again, not of perishable seed but of imperishable, through the word of God that lives and abides forever. (aiōn g165)
24 ௨௪ மனிதர்கள் எல்லோரும் புல்லைப்போலவும், மனிதனுடைய மகிமையெல்லாம் புல்லின் பூவைப்போலவும் இருக்கிறது; புல் உலர்ந்தது, அதின் பூவும் உதிர்ந்தது.
For, “All flesh is like grass, and all the glory of man is like a flower of grass. The grass withers, and its flower falls,
