1 யோவான் 3
1 ௧ நாம் தேவனுடைய பிள்ளைகள் என்று அழைக்கப்படுவதினாலே பிதாவானவர் நமக்குப் பாராட்டின அன்பு எவ்வளவு பெரியது என்று உணர்ந்து பாருங்கள்; உலகம் அவரை அறியாதபடியினாலே நம்மையும் அறியவில்லை.
Behold, what manner of love, the Father hath bestowed upon us—that, children of God, we should be called, —and such we are! Therefore, the world understandeth us not, because it understood not him.
2 ௨ பிரியமானவர்களே, இப்பொழுது தேவனுடைய பிள்ளைகளாக இருக்கிறோம், இனி எவ்விதமாக இருப்போம் என்று இன்னும் வெளிப்படவில்லை; ஆனாலும் அவர் வெளிப்படும்போது அவர் இருக்கிற பிரகாரமாகவே நாம் அவரைக் காண்பதினால், அவருடைய சாயலாக இருப்போம் என்று அறிந்திருக்கிறோம்.
Beloved! now, are we, children of God; and, not yet, hath it been made manifest, what we shall be, —We know that, if it should be made manifest, like unto him, shall we be, because we shall see him, just as he is.
3 ௩ அவர்மேல் இப்படிப்பட்ட நம்பிக்கை வைத்திருக்கிறவன் எவனும், அவர் சுத்தமுள்ளவராக இருக்கிறதுபோல, தன்னையும் சுத்திகரித்துக்கொள்ளுகிறான்.
And, whosoever hath this hope on him, is purifying himself, just as, He, is pure.
Whosoever is committing sin, lawlessness also, is committing, and, sin, is, lawlessness;
And ye know, that, He, was made manifest—in order that, our sins, he should take away, and, sin, in him, is there none.
6 ௬ அவரில் நிலைத்திருக்கிற எவனும் பாவம் செய்கிறதில்லை; பாவம் செய்கிற எவனும் அவரைக் காணவும் இல்லை, அவரை அறியவும் இல்லை.
Whosoever, in him, doth abide, is not sinning: whosoever is sinning, hath not seen him, and doth not understand him.
7 ௭ பிள்ளைகளே, நீங்கள் ஒருவராலும் ஏமாற்றப்படாமலிருங்கள்; நீதியைச் செய்கிறவன் அவர் நீதியுள்ளவராக இருக்கிறதுபோலத் தானும் நீதியுள்ளவனாக இருக்கிறான்.
Dear children! Let, no one, lead you astray! He that is doing righteousness, is, righteous, just as, He, is righteous:
8 ௮ பாவம் செய்கிறவன் பிசாசினால் உண்டாயிருக்கிறான்; ஏனென்றால், பிசாசானவன் ஆரம்பமுதல் பாவம் செய்கிறான், பிசாசினுடைய செயல்களை அழிப்பதற்காக தேவனுடைய குமாரன் வெளிப்பட்டார்.
He that is committing sin, is, of the adversary, because, from the beginning, the adversary is sinning. To this end, was the Son of God made manifest, in order that he might undo the works of the adversary.
9 ௯ தேவனால் பிறந்த எவனும் பாவம் செய்யமாட்டன், ஏனென்றால், அவருடைய வித்து அவனுக்குள் நிலைத்திருக்கிறது; அவன் தேவனால் பிறந்தபடியினால் பாவம் செய்யமாட்டான்.
Whosoever hath been born of God, is not committing, sin, because, a seed of him, within him, abideth; and he cannot be committing sin, because, of God, hath he been born.
10 ௧0 இதினாலே தேவனுடைய பிள்ளைகள் யாரென்றும், பிசாசின் பிள்ளைகள் யாரென்றும் வெளிப்படும்; நீதியைச் செய்யாமலும் தன் சகோதரனில் அன்புகூராமலும் இருக்கிற எவனும் தேவனால் உண்டானவன் இல்லை.
Herein, are, manifest, the children of God, and the children of the adversary: Whoever is not doing righteousness, is not of God, nor yet he that is not loving his brother.
11 ௧௧ நாம் ஒருவரையொருவர் நேசிக்கவேண்டும் என்பதே நீங்கள் ஆரம்பமுதல் கேள்விப்பட்ட செய்தியாக இருக்கிறது.
Because, this, is the message which ye have heard from the beginning—that we should be loving one another, —
12 ௧௨ சாத்தானால் உண்டாயிருந்து தன் சகோதரனைக் கொலைசெய்த காயீனைப்போல இருக்கவேண்டாம்; அவன் எதினிமித்தம் அவனைக் கொலைசெய்தான்? தன் செய்கைகள் பொல்லாதவைகளும், தன் சகோதரனுடைய செய்கைகள் நீதி உள்ளவைகளுமாக இருந்ததினிமித்தம்தானே.
Not just as, Cain, was, of the wicked one, and slew his brother! And, for what cause, slew he him? Because, his works, were, wicked, whereas, those of his brother, were, righteous.
Be not marveling, brethren, if, the world, is hating you:
14 ௧௪ நாம் சகோதரர்களிடம் அன்பு செலுத்துகிறபடியால், மரணத்தைவிட்டு விலகி ஜீவனுக்கு உட்பட்டிருக்கிறோம் என்று அறிந்திருக்கிறோம்; சகோதரனிடத்தில் அன்புகூராதவன் மரணத்திலே நிலைபெற்றிருக்கிறான்.
We, know, that we have passed over out of death into life, because we love the brethren: he that loveth not, abideth in death.
15 ௧௫ தன் சகோதரனைப் பகைக்கிற எவனும் மனித கொலைபாதகனாக இருக்கிறான்; மனித கொலைபாதகன் எவனோ அவனுக்குள் நித்தியஜீவன் நிலைத்திருக்காது என்று அறிவீர்கள். (aiōnios g166)
Whosoever is hating his brother, is, a murderer; and ye know that, no murderer, hath life age-during, within him abiding. (aiōnios g166)
16 ௧௬ அவர் தம்முடைய ஜீவனை நமக்காகக் கொடுத்ததினாலே அன்பு இன்னதென்று அறிந்திருக்கிறோம்; நாமும் சகோதரர்களுக்காக ஜீவனைக் கொடுக்கக் கடனாளிகளாக இருக்கிறோம்.
Hereby, have we come to understand love: in that, He, for us, his life laid down; and, we, ought, for the brethren, our lives to lay down.
17 ௧௭ ஒருவன் இந்த உலகத்தின் செல்வம் உடையவனாக இருந்து, தன் சகோதரனுக்கு வறுமை உண்டென்று அறிந்து, தன் இருதயத்தை அவனுக்கு அடைத்துக்கொண்டால், அவனுக்குள் தேவஅன்பு நிலைபெறுகிறது எப்படி?
But, whoso hath this world’s goods, and beholdeth his brother having, need, and shutteth up his tender affections from him, how, is, the love of God, abiding in him?
Dear children! Let us not be loving in word, nor yet with the tongue, but in deed and truth.
19 ௧௯ இதினாலே நாம் நம்மைச் சத்தியத்திற்குரியவர்கள் என்று அறிந்து, நம்முடைய இருதயத்தை அவருக்கு முன்பாக நிச்சயப்படுத்திக்கொள்ளலாம்.
Hereby, shall we get to know, that, of the truth, we are, and, before him, shall persuade our heart;
20 ௨0 நம்முடைய இருதயமே நம்மைக் குற்றவாளிகளாகத் தீர்க்குமானால், தேவன் நம்முடைய இருதயத்திலும் பெரியவராக இருந்து எல்லாவற்றையும் அறிந்திருக்கிறார்.
Because, if our own heart condemn us, greater, is God, than our heart, and perceiveth all things.
21 ௨௧ பிரியமானவர்களே, நம்முடைய இருதயம் நம்மைக் குற்றவாளிகளென்று தீர்க்காமலிருந்தால், நாம் தேவனிடத்தில் நம்பிக்கைக் கொண்டிருந்து,
Beloved! if our heart be not condemning us, boldness, have we, towards God;
22 ௨௨ அவருடைய கட்டளைகளை நாம் கடைபிடித்து அவருக்கு முன்பாகப் பிரியமானவைகளைச் செய்கிறபடியினால் நாம் கேட்டுக்கொள்ளுகிறது எதுவோ அதை அவராலே பெற்றுக்கொள்ளுகிறோம்.
And, whatsoever we are asking, we are receiving from him, because, his commandments, are we keeping, and, the things that are pleasing before him, are we doing.
23 ௨௩ நாம் அவருடைய குமாரனாகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் நாமத்தின்மேல் விசுவாசமாக இருந்து, அவர் நமக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடி ஒருவரிலொருவர் அன்பாக இருக்கவேண்டுமென்பதே அவருடைய கட்டளையாக இருக்கிறது.
And, this, is his commandment, —that we should believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and be loving one another—just as he gave a commandment unto us.
24 ௨௪ அவருடைய கட்டளைகளைக் கடைப்பிடிக்கிறவன் அவரில் நிலைத்திருக்கிறான், அவரும் அவனில் நிலைத்திருக்கிறார்; அவர் நம்மில் நிலைத்திருக்கிறதை அவர் நமக்குத் தந்தருளின ஆவியானவராலே அறிந்திருக்கிறோம்.
And, he that keepeth his commandments, in him, abideth, and, he, in him. And, hereby, perceive we, that he abideth in us, by reason of the Spirit which, unto us, he hath given.
