1 கொரிந்தியர் 9
1 ௧ நான் அப்போஸ்தலன் அல்லவா? நான் சுதந்திரவாளி அல்லவா? நம்முடைய கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவை நான் தரிசிக்கவில்லையா? கர்த்தருக்குள் நீங்கள் என் செயல்களாக இருக்கிறீர்களல்லவா?
Am I not free? am I not an apostle? have I not seen the Lord Jesus? are you not my work in the Lord?
2 ௨ நான் மற்றவர்களுக்கு அப்போஸ்தலனாக இல்லாமற்போனாலும், உங்களுக்கல்லவோ அப்போஸ்தலனாக இருக்கிறேன்; கர்த்தருக்குள் நீங்கள் என் அப்போஸ்தல ஊழியத்திற்கு அடையாளமாக இருக்கிறீர்களே.
If I am not an apostle to others, but I am to you at least: for you are the seal of my apostleship in the Lord.
My defence to those calling me in question is this.
Have we not a right to eat and drink?
5 ௫ மற்ற அப்போஸ்தலர்களும், கர்த்தருடைய சகோதரர்களும், கேபாவும் செய்கிறதுபோல, விசுவாசியாகிய ஒரு மனைவியை கூட்டிக்கொண்டுபோக எங்களுக்கு உரிமை இல்லையா?
Have we not a right to lead about a sister as a wife, as the other apostles also, and the brothers of the Lord, and Cephas?
Have I and Barnabas alone not the right to forbear working?
7 ௭ எவன் தன் சொந்தப்பணத்தைச் செலவழித்து, இராணுவத்திலே சேவை செய்வான்? எவன் திராட்சைத்தோட்டத்தை உண்டாக்கி, அதின் கனியை சாப்பிடாமல் இருப்பான்? எவன் மந்தையை மேய்த்து, அதின் பாலைக் குடிக்காமல் இருப்பான்?
Whoever goes to war at his own charges? who plants a vineyard, and does not eat the fruit of it? or who shepherdizes a flock, and does not eat of the milk of the flock?
Whether do I speak these things according to a man? or does not the law indeed say these things?
9 ௯ போரடிக்கிற மாட்டின் வாயைக் கட்டாதே என்று மோசேயின் பிரமாணத்திலே எழுதியிருக்கிறதே. தேவன் மாடுகளுக்காகவே கவலையாக இருக்கிறாரோ?
For in the law of Moses it has been written, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that plows. Is there a care to God for oxen,
10 ௧0 நமக்காகத்தான் இதைச் சொல்லுகிறாரோ? உழுகிறவன் நம்பிக்கையோடு உழவும், போரடிக்கிறவன் தான் நம்புகிறதில் பங்கடைவேன் என்கிற நம்பிக்கையோடு போரடிக்கவும் வேண்டும். ஆகவே, அது நமக்காகவே எழுதியிருக்கிறது.
or does he speak it altogether on account of us? For it was written on account of us, That the one plowing ought to plow in hope, and the one threshing in hope of partaking.
11 ௧௧ நாங்கள் உங்களுக்கு ஆவியானவருக்குரிய நன்மைகளை விதைத்திருக்க, உங்களுடைய சரீர நன்மைகளை அறுத்தால் அது பெரிய காரியமா?
If we have sown unto you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we shall reap your carnal things?
12 ௧௨ மற்றவர்கள் உங்களிடத்திலே இந்த அதிகாரத்தைச் செலுத்தினால், அவர்களைவிட நாங்கள் அதிகமாகச் செலுத்தலாமல்லவா? அப்படியிருந்தும், கிறிஸ்துவின் நற்செய்திக்கு எந்தவொரு தடையும் உண்டாகாதபடிக்கு, நாங்கள் இந்த அதிகாரத்தைச் செலுத்தாமல் எல்லாப் பாடுகளும் படுகிறோம்.
If others partake of your bounty, shall not we the more? But we have not used this privilege, but we bear all things, in order that we may not give a hindrance to the gospel of Christ.
13 ௧௩ ஆசாரிய ஊழியம் செய்கிறவர்கள் தேவாலயத்தில் இருக்கிறவைகளிலிருந்து சாப்பிடுகிறார்கள் என்றும், பலிபீடத்தை அடுத்துப் பணிவிடை செய்கிறவர்களுக்கு பலிபீடத்தில் உள்ளவைகளில் பங்கு உண்டென்றும் உங்களுக்குத் தெரியாதா?
Do you not know that those working in the sacrifices eat those things of the temple; and those serving the altar partake of the altar?
14 ௧௪ அந்தப்படியே நற்செய்தியை அறிவிக்கிறவர்களுக்கு நற்செய்தியினாலே பிழைப்பு உண்டாகவேண்டுமென்று கர்த்தரும் கட்டளையிட்டிருக்கிறார்.
So also the Lord has commanded those preaching the gospel to live of the gospel.
15 ௧௫ அப்படியிருந்தும், நான் இவைகளில் ஒன்றையும் அனுபவிக்கவில்லை; இப்படி எனக்கு நடக்கவேண்டுமென்று இவைகளை நான் எழுதுகிறதுமில்லை. என் மேன்மைபாராட்டுதலை ஒருவன் மனவேதனையாக்குகிறதைவிட நான் சாகிறது எனக்கு நலமாக இருக்கும்.
But I have used none of these things. But I have not written these things that it may be so in me: for it is good for me rather to die than that any one shall make void my boasting.
16 ௧௬ நற்செய்தியை நான் பிரசங்கித்துவந்தும், மேன்மைப்பாராட்ட எனக்கு இடமில்லை; அது என்மேல் விழுந்த கடமையாக இருக்கிறது; நற்செய்தியை நான் பிரசங்கிக்காமல் இருந்தால், எனக்கு ஐயோ.
For if I preach the gospel, there is no boasting to me; for necessity is laid upon me; for woe is unto me, if I may not preach the gospel.
17 ௧௭ நான் உற்சாகமாக அப்படிச் செய்தால் எனக்குப் பலன் உண்டு; உற்சாகம் இல்லாதவனாகச் செய்தாலும், மேற்பார்வையாளர் பதவி எனக்கு ஒப்புவிக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறதே.
For if I do this willingly, I have a reward: but if unwillingly, I have been intrusted with a dispensation.
18 ௧௮ ஆதலால் எனக்குப் பலன் என்ன? நான் நற்செய்தியை பிரசங்கிக்கும்போது அதைப்பற்றி எனக்கு உண்டாயிருக்கிற அதிகாரத்தை முற்றிலும் செலுத்தாமல், கிறிஸ்துவின் நற்செய்தியைச் செலவில்லாமல் பிரசங்கிப்பதே எனக்குப் பலன்.
Then what is my reward? that preaching the gospel, I may render the gospel free from charge, in order that I may not use my right in the gospel.
19 ௧௯ நான் ஒருவருக்கும் அடிமைப்படாதவனாக இருந்தும், நான் அதிக மக்களை ஆதாயப்படுத்திக்கொள்ளும்படிக்கு, என்னைத்தானே எல்லோருக்கும் அடிமையாக்கினேன்.
For being free from all, I rendered myself servant to all, that I may gain the more.
20 ௨0 யூதர்களை ஆதாயப்படுத்திக்கொள்ளும்படிக்கு, யூதர்களுக்கு யூதனைப்போலவும், நியாயப்பிரமாணத்திற்குக் கீழ்ப்பட்டவர்களை ஆதாயப்படுத்திக்கொள்ளும்படிக்கு, நியாயப்பிரமாணத்திற்குக் கீழ்ப்பட்டவனைப்போலவும் ஆனேன்.
And to the Jews I became as a Jew, that I may gain the Jews; to those under the law, as under the law, not myself being under law, that I may gain those under the law;
21 ௨௧ நியாயப்பிரமாணம் இல்லாதவர்களை ஆதாயப்படுத்திக்கொள்ளும்படிக்கு அவர்களுக்கு நியாயப்பிரமாணம் இல்லாதவனைப்போலவும் ஆனேன். அப்படியிருந்தும், நான் தேவனுக்குமுன்பாக நியாயப்பிரமாணம் இல்லாதவனாக இல்லாமல், கிறிஸ்துவின் பிரமாணத்திற்கு உட்பட்டவனாக இருக்கிறேன்.
to those without law, I became as without law, not being without the law of God, but under the law of Christ, that I may gain those without law.
22 ௨௨ பலவீனரை ஆதாயப்படுத்திக்கொள்ளும்படிக்குப் பலவீனருக்குப் பலவீனனைப்போலானேன்; எப்படியாவது சிலரை இரட்சிக்கும்படிக்கு நான் எல்லோருக்கும் எல்லாமானேன்.
To the weak I became as weak, that I may gain the weak. I became all things to all men, that I may indeed save some.
But I do all these things for the sake of the gospel, that I may be its fellow-partaker.
24 ௨௪ பந்தயப் பாதையில் ஓடுகிறவர்களெல்லோரும் ஓடுவார்கள்; ஆனாலும், ஒருவனே வெற்றியை பெறுவானென்று உங்களுக்குத் தெரியாதா? நீங்கள் பெற்றுக்கொள்ளத்தக்கதாக ஓடுங்கள்.
Do you not know that those running in the stadium, indeed all run, and one receives the prize? So run, that you may receive it.
25 ௨௫ பந்தயத்திற்குப் போராடுகிற அனைவரும் எல்லாவற்றிலேயும் இச்சையடக்கமாக இருப்பார்கள். அவர்கள் அழிவுள்ள கிரீடத்தைப் பெறும்படிக்கு அப்படிச் செய்கிறார்கள், நாமோ அழிவில்லாத கிரீடத்தைப் பெறும்படிக்கு அப்படிச் செய்கிறோம்.
But every one contesting is abstinent in all things, they indeed also that they may receive a corruptible crown, but we an incorruptible.
I therefore so run, not as uncertainly, do I thus fight not as beating the air:
27 ௨௭ மற்றவர்களுக்குப் பிரசங்கம் செய்கிற நான்தானே ஆகாதவனாகப் போகாதபடிக்கு, என் சரீரத்தை ஒடுக்கி அடக்குகிறேன்.
but I keep my body under, and enslave it, lest having preached the gospel to others, I myself may become disapproved.
