The sons of Judah: Pherez, Hezron, and Carmi, and Hur, and Shobal.
2 ௨ சோபாலின் மகன் ராயா யாகாத்தைப் பெற்றான்; யாகாத் அகுமாயியையும், லாகாதையும் பெற்றான்; சோராத்தியர்களின் வம்சங்கள் இவைகளே.
And Reaiah the son of Shobal begot Jahath; and Jahath begot Ahumai and Lahad. These are the families of the Zoreathites.
3 ௩ ஏதாம் என்னும் மூப்பனின் சந்ததியார்கள், யெஸ்ரெயேல், இஷ்மா, இத்பாஸ் என்பவர்கள்; இவர்களுடைய சகோதரியின் பெயர் அத்செலெல்போனி;
And these [were of] the father of Etam: Jizreel, and Jishma, and Jidbash; and the name of their sister was Hazlelponi;
4 ௪ கேதோருக்கு மூப்பனான பெனுவெல், உஷாவுக்கு மூப்பனான எசேர் என்பவர்கள்; இவர்கள் பெத்லெகேமுக்கு மூப்பனான எப்ராத்தாவுக்கு முதலில் பிறந்த ஊரின் மகன்கள்.
and Penuel the father of Gedor, and Ezer the father of Hushah: these were the sons of Hur, the firstborn of Ephratah, [and] father of Bethlehem.
— And Ashhur the father of Tekoa had two wives, Helah and Naarah.
6 ௬ நாராள் அவனுக்கு அகுசாமையும், எப்பேரையும், தெமனியையும், ஆகாஸ்தாரியையும் பெற்றாள்; நாராளின் மகன்கள் இவர்களே.
And Naarah bore him Ahuzzam, and Hepher, and Temeni, and Ahashtari: these were the sons of Naarah.
And the sons of Helah: Zereth, and Zohar, and Ethnan.
And Koz begot Anub, and Hazzobebah, and the families of Aharhel the son of Harum.
9 ௯ யாபேஸ் தன்னுடைய சகோதரர்களைவிட மதிப்பிற்குரியவனாக இருந்தான். அவனுடைய தாய்: நான் துக்கத்தோடே அவனைப் பெற்றேன் என்று சொல்லி அவனுக்கு யாபேஸ் என்று பெயரிட்டாள்.
And Jabez was more honoured than his brethren; and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, Because I bore him with pain.
10 ௧0 யாபேஸ் இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனை நோக்கி: தேவரீர் என்னை ஆசீர்வதித்து, என்னுடைய எல்லையைப் பெரிதாக்கி, உமது கரம் என்னோடு இருந்து, தீங்கு என்னை துக்கப்படுத்தாதபடி அதற்கு என்னை விலக்கிக் காத்தருளும் என்று வேண்டிக்கொண்டான்; அவன் வேண்டிக்கொண்டதை தேவன் அருளினார்.
And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, Oh that thou wouldest richly bless me, and enlarge my border, and that thy hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God brought about what he had requested.
And Chelub the brother of Shuah begot Mehir, who was the father of Eshton.
12 ௧௨ எஸ்தோன் பெத்ராபாவையும், பசேயாகையும், இர்நாகாஷின் தகப்பனாகிய தெகினாகையும் பெற்றான்; இவர்கள் ரேகாவூர் மனிதர்கள்.
And Eshton begot Bethrapha, and Paseah, and Tehinnah the father of the city of Nahash: these were the men of Rechah.
— And the sons of Kenaz: Othniel and Seraiah; and the sons of Othniel: Hathath.
14 ௧௪ மெயோனத்தாய் ஒபிராவைப் பெற்றான்; செராயா கராஷீமன் பள்ளத்தாக்குக்கு மூப்பனாகிய யோவாபைப் பெற்றான்; அவர்கள் தொழிலாளர்களாக இருந்தார்கள்.
And Meonothai begot Ophrah: and Seraiah begot Joab, the father of the valley of craftsmen; for they were craftsmen.
— And the sons of Caleb the son of Jephunneh: Iru, Elah, and Naam; and the sons of Elah, ...and Kenaz.
— And the sons of Jehalleleel: Ziph and Ziphah, Tiria and Asareel.
17 ௧௭ எஸ்றாவின் மகன்கள் யெத்தேர், மேரேத், ஏப்பேர், யாலோன்; மேரேத்தின் மனைவி மிரியாமையும், சம்மாயியையும், எஸ்தெமோவா ஊருக்கு மூப்பனான இஸ்பாவையும் பெற்றாள்.
— And the sons of Ezra: Jether, and Mered, and Epher, and Jalon; and she conceived [and bore] Miriam, and Shammai, and Jishbah the father of Eshtemoa.
18 ௧௮ அவன் மனைவியாகிய எகுதியாள் கேதோரின் தகப்பனாகிய யாரேதையும், சோக்கோவின் தகப்பனாகிய ஏபேரையும், சனோவாவின் தகப்பனாகிய எக்குத்தியேலையும் பெற்றாள்; மேரேத் திருமணம் செய்த பார்வோனின் மகளாகிய பித்தியாளின் மகன்கள் இவர்களே.
And his wife the Jewess bore Jered the father of Gedor, and Heber the father of Socho, and Jekuthiel the father of Zanoah. And these are the sons of Bithiah the daughter of Pharaoh whom Mered took.
19 ௧௯ நாகாமின் சகோதரியாகிய ஒதியாவினுடைய மனைவியின் மகன்கள் கர்மியனாகிய ஆபிகேயிலாவும், மாகாத்தியனாகிய எஸ்தெமொவாவுமே.
— And the sons of the wife of Hodijah, the sister of Naham: the father of Keilah the Garmite, and Eshtemoa the Maachathite.
20 ௨0 ஷீமோனின் மகன்கள் அம்னோன், ரின்னா, பென்கானான், தீலோன் என்பவர்கள், இஷியின் மகன்கள் சோகேதும் பென்சோகேதுமே.
— And the sons of Shimon: Amnon and Rinnah, Ben-hanan and Tilon. — And the sons of Jishi: Zoheth and Ben-Zoheth.
21 ௨௧ யூதாவின் மகனாகிய சேலாகின் மகன்கள்: லேக்காவூர் மூப்பனான ஏரும், மரேஷாவூர் மூப்பனான லாதாகும், மெல்லிய புடவை நெய்த அஸ்பெயா வீட்டு வம்சங்களும்,
The sons of Shelah the son of Judah: Er the father of Lechah, and Laadah the father of Mareshah, and the families of the house of byssus-workers, of the house of Ashbea,
22 ௨௨ யோக்கீமும், கோசேபாவின் மனிதர்களும், மோவாபியர்களை ஆண்ட யோவாஸ், சாராப் என்பவர்களும், யசுபிலெகேமுமே; இவைகள் ஆரம்பகாலத்தின் செய்திகள்.
and Jokim, and the men of Chozeba, and Joash, and Saraph, who ruled over Moab, and Jashubi-lehem. And these are ancient things.
23 ௨௩ இவர்கள் குயவர்களாக இருந்து நெத்தாயிமிலும் கெதேராவிலும் குடியிருந்தார்கள்; ராஜாவின் வேலையை விசாரிப்பதற்கு அங்கே குடியிருந்தார்கள்.
These were the potters, and those that abode among plantations and enclosures: there they dwelt with the king for his work.
The sons of Simeon: Nemuel and Jamin, Jarib, Zerah, [and] Saul;
Shallum his son, Mibsam his son, Mishma his son.
And the sons of Mishma: Hammuel his son, Zaccur his son, Shimei his son;
27 ௨௭ சீமேயிக்குப் பதினாறு மகன்களும் ஆறு மகள்களும் இருந்தார்கள்; அவனுடைய சகோதரர்களுக்கு அதிக பிள்ளைகள் இல்லை; அவர்கள் வம்சங்களெல்லாம் யூதாவின் மக்களைப்போலப் பெருகினதுமில்லை.
and Shimei had sixteen sons and six daughters. And his brethren had not many sons; neither did all their family multiply like to the sons of Judah.
And they abode at Beer-sheba, and Moladah, and Hazar-Shual,
and at Bilhah, and at Ezem, and at Tolad,
and at Bethuel, and at Hormah, and at Ziklag,
31 ௩௧ பெத்மார்காபோத்திலும், ஆத்சார்சூசிமிலும், பெத்பிரியிலும், சாராயிமிலும் குடியிருந்தார்கள்; தாவீது ராஜாவாகும்வரை இவைகள் அவர்களுடைய பட்டணங்களாக இருந்தது.
and at Beth-marcaboth, and Hazar-susim, and at Beth-biri, and at Shaaraim. These were their cities until the reign of David.
And their villages were Etam and Ain, Rimmon and Tochen, and Ashan, five cities;
33 ௩௩ அந்தப் பட்டணங்களைச் சுற்றிலும், பாகால்வரையுள்ள அவர்களுடைய எல்லா குடியிருப்புக்களும், அவர்கள் தங்குமிடங்களும், அவர்களுடைய வம்ச அட்டவணையும் இவைகளே.
and all their villages that were round about these cities, as far as Baal. These were their habitations and their genealogical register.
And Meshobab, and Jamlech, and Joshah the son of Amaziah,
and Joel, and Jehu the son of Josibiah, the son of Seraiah, the son of Asiel,
and Elioenai, and Jaakobah, and Jeshohaiah, and Asaiah, and Adiel, and Jesimiel, and Benaiah,
37 ௩௭ செமாயா பெற்ற சிம்ரியின் மகன் யெதாயாவுக்குப் பிறந்த அல்லோனின் மகனாகிய சீப்பியின் மகன் சீசாவும் என்று,
and Ziza the son of Shiphi, the son of Allon, the son of Jedaiah, the son of Shimri, the son of Shemaiah:
38 ௩௮ பெயர் வரிசையில் எழுதியிருக்கிற இவர்கள் தங்களுடைய வம்சங்களில் பிரபுக்களாக இருந்தார்கள்; இவர்களுடைய பிதாக்களின் வீட்டார்கள் ஏராளமாகப் பரவியிருந்தார்கள்.
these mentioned by name were princes in their families; and their fathers' houses increased greatly.
39 ௩௯ தங்களுடைய ஆடுகளுக்கு மேய்ச்சலைத் தேடும்படி தேதோரின் எல்லையாகிய மலைப்பகுதியின் கிழக்குப்புறம்வரை போய்,
And they went to the entrance of Gedor, as far as the east side of the valley, to seek pasture for their flocks.
40 ௪0 நல்ல செழிப்பான மேய்ச்சலும், அமைதியும், சுகமுமுள்ள விசாலமான தேசத்தைக் கண்டுபிடித்தார்கள்; ஆரம்பத்திலே காமின் சந்ததியார்கள் அங்கே குடியிருந்தார்கள்.
And they found fat and good pasture, and a land widely extended and quiet and fertile, for they who had dwelt there formerly were of Ham.
41 ௪௧ பெயர் வரிசையில் எழுதியிருக்கிற இவர்கள் யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய எசேக்கியாவின் நாட்களிலே அங்கே போய், அங்கே கண்டுபிடித்தவர்களின் கூடாரங்களையும் மறைவிடங்களையும் அழித்து, இந்த நாளிலே இருக்கிறதுபோல, அவர்களை முற்றிலும் அழித்து, அங்கே தங்களுடைய ஆடுகளுக்கு மேய்ச்சல் இருந்தபடியால், அவர்கள் அந்த இடத்திலே குடியேறினார்கள்.
And these written by name came in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah, and smote their tents and the habitations that were found there, and destroyed them utterly unto this day, and dwelt in their stead; for there was pasture there for their flocks.
42 ௪௨ சிமியோனின் கோத்திரத்தார்களாகிய இவர்களில் ஐந்நூறு மனிதர்களும், அவர்களுடைய தலைவர்களாகிய இஷியின் மகன்களான பெலத்தியாவும், நெகரியாவும், ரெப்பாயாவும், ஊசியேலும், சேயீர் மலைத்தேசத்திற்குப் போய்,
And five hundred men of them, of the sons of Simeon, went to mount Seir, having at their head Pelatiah, and Neariah, and Rephaiah, and Uzziel, the sons of Jishi,
43 ௪௩ அமலேக்கியர்களில் தப்பி மீதியாக இருந்தவர்களைத் தோற்கடித்து, இந்த நாள்வரை இருக்கிறபடி அங்கே குடியேறினார்கள்.
and they smote the rest of the Amalekites that had escaped; and they dwelt there unto this day.
