1 நாளாகமம் 22
1 ௧ அப்பொழுது தாவீது: தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவுடைய ஆலயம் இருக்கும் இடம் இதுவே; இஸ்ரவேல் பலியிடும் சர்வாங்க தகனபலிபீடம் இருக்கும் இடமும் இதுவே என்றான்.
Then David said, “Here, [at the edge of Jerusalem, ] is where [we will build] the temple for our God Yahweh, and where [we will make] the altar for burning the offerings that the Israeli [people will bring].”
2 ௨ பின்பு தாவீது இஸ்ரவேல் தேசத்திலிருக்கிற அந்நிய தேசத்தார்களைக் கூடிவரச்செய்து, தேவனுடைய ஆலயத்தைக் கட்டுவதற்கான கற்களை வெட்டிப் பயன்படுத்தும் கொத்தனார்களை ஏற்படுத்தினான்.
So David commanded that the foreigners who lived in Israel must gather together. [When they did that, ] he appointed [some of those] men to [cut huge] stones [from the quarries] and to smooth their surfaces, to be used to build the temple of God.
3 ௩ தாவீது வாசல்களின் கதவுகளுக்கு வேண்டிய ஆணிகளுக்கும் கீல்களுக்கும் அதிகமான இரும்பையும், எடைபோட முடியாத ஏராளமான வெண்கலத்தையும்,
David provided a large amount of iron for making nails and hinges for the doors in the gates of the temple. He also provided so much bronze [for making the altar and various utensils], that no one could weigh it all.
4 ௪ எண்ணமுடியாத அளவு கேதுருமரங்களையும் சம்பாதித்தான்; சீதோனியர்களும், தீரியர்களும் தாவீதுக்கு அதிகமான கேதுருமரங்களைக் கொண்டுவந்தார்கள்.
He also provided [money for buying] a large amount of cedar logs. Because there was a huge number of them, no one was able to count them. Those were logs that men from Tyre and Sidon [cities] sent to David.
5 ௫ தாவீது: என்னுடைய மகனாகிய சாலொமோன் வாலிபனும் இளைஞனுமாக இருக்கிறான்; யெகோவாவுக்குக் கட்டப்படும் ஆலயம் சகல தேசங்களிலும் புகழும் மகிமையும் உடையதாக விளங்கும்படி மிகப்பெரியதாயிருக்க வேண்டும்; ஆகையால் அதற்காக வேண்டியவைகளை இப்பொழுதே சேமிக்க செய்யவேண்டும் என்று சொல்லி, தாவீது தன்னுடைய மரணத்திற்கு முன்னே அதிகமாக ஆயத்தம் செய்துவைத்தான்.
David [provided all those things because he] thought, “My son Solomon is still young and he does not know what he needs to know [about building], and the temple of Yahweh must be (magnificent/very beautiful). It must be a glorious building that will become famous, and people throughout the world must consider it to be glorious/splendid. So now I will begin to prepare for it to be built, [and Solomon will be responsible for building it].” So David collected a great amount of building materials before he died.
6 ௬ அவன் தன்னுடைய மகனாகிய சாலொமோனை அழைத்து, இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவுக்கு ஆலயத்தைக் கட்டுவதற்காக அவனுக்குக் கட்டளைகொடுத்து,
[When] David [was old, he] summoned his son Solomon, and told him that he should arrange for a temple to be built for Yahweh, the God whom the Israelis [worshiped].
7 ௭ சாலொமோனை நோக்கி: என்னுடைய மகனே, நான் என்னுடைய தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவின் நாமத்திற்கு ஒரு ஆலயத்தைக் கட்ட என்னுடைய இருதயத்தில் நினைத்திருந்தேன்.
He said to him, “I wanted [IDM] to build a temple to honor [MTY] Yahweh, my God.
8 ௮ ஆனாலும் யெகோவாவுடைய வார்த்தை எனக்கு உண்டாகி: நீ அதிகமான இரத்தத்தைச் சிந்தி, பெரிய யுத்தங்களைச் செய்தாய்; நீ என்னுடைய நாமத்திற்கு ஆலயத்தைக் கட்டவேண்டாம்; எனக்கு முன்பாக மிகுதியான இரத்தத்தைத் தரையிலே சிந்தச்செய்தாய்.
But Yahweh told [a prophet to tell] me, ‘You have killed many men [MTY] in the battles that you have fought. I have seen the blood of all the people whom you killed, so you will not be the one who will arrange for a temple to be built to honor me [MTY].
9 ௯ இதோ, உனக்குப் பிறக்கப்போகிற மகன் அமைதியுள்ள ஆண்மகனாக இருப்பான்; சுற்றி இருக்கும் அவனுடைய எதிரிகளையெல்லாம் விலக்கி அவனை அமர்ந்திருக்கச் செய்வேன்; ஆகையால் அவனுடைய பெயர் சாலொமோன் என்னப்படும்; அவனுடைய நாட்களில் இஸ்ரவேலின்மேல் சமாதானத்தையும் அமைதியையும் கொடுப்பேன்.
But you will have a son [who will be king of Israel after you die]. He will be a man who is peaceful and quiet, [not a man who kills others]. And I will cause that there will be peace between him and his enemies who are in all the nearby lands. His name will be Solomon, [which sounds like the word for peace]. During the time that he is king, people in Israel will be peaceful and safe.
10 ௧0 அவன் என்னுடைய நாமத்திற்கு ஆலயத்தைக் கட்டுவான்; அவன் எனக்கு மகனாக இருப்பான், நான் அவனுக்கு தகப்பனாக இருப்பேன்; இஸ்ரவேலை ஆளும் அவனுடைய ராஜாங்கத்தின் சிங்காசனத்தை என்றென்றைக்கும் நிலைப்படுத்துவேன் என்றார்.
He is the one who will arrange for a temple to be built to honor me [MTY]. He will be [like] a son to me, and I will cause some of his descendants to rule [MTY] over Israel forever [HYP].’
11 ௧௧ இப்போதும் என்னுடைய மகனே, நீ பாக்கியவானாக இருந்து, யெகோவா உன்னைக்குறித்துச் சொன்னபடியே உன்னுடைய தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவின் ஆலயத்தைக் கட்டும்படி, அவர் உன்னுடனே இருப்பாராக.
“So now, my son, I hope/wish that Yahweh will help you, and enable you to be successful in arranging for building the temple of Yahweh, your God, which is what he said that you would do.
12 ௧௨ யெகோவா உனக்கு ஞானத்தையும் உணர்வையும் கொடுத்து, உன்னுடைய தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவின் நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தைக் கைக்கொண்டு, இஸ்ரவேலை ஆளும்படி உனக்குக் கட்டளையிடுவாராக.
I also hope/wish that he will enable you to be wise and to understand what you need to know, and enable you to obey his laws while you rule over Israel.
13 ௧௩ யெகோவா இஸ்ரவேலுக்காக மோசேக்குக் கற்பித்த கட்டளைகளையும் சட்டங்களையும் செய்ய நீ கவனமாக இருந்தால் பாக்கியவானாக இருப்பாய்; நீ பலங்கொண்டு தைரியமாக இரு, பயப்படாமலும் கலங்காமலும் இரு.
If you carefully obey all the laws and regulations/commands that Yahweh gave to Moses to give to us Israeli people, you will be successful. So be steadfast/strong and courageous. Do not be afraid of anything, and do not become discouraged!
14 ௧௪ இதோ, நான் என்னுடைய சிறுமையிலே யெகோவாவுடைய ஆலயத்திற்காக ஒரு லட்சம் தாலந்து பொன்னையும், பத்து லட்சம் தாலந்து வெள்ளியையும், எடைபோட முடியாத அதிகமான வெண்கலத்தையும் இரும்பையும் சேமித்தும், மரங்களையும் கற்களையும் சேமித்தும் வைத்தேன்; நீ இன்னும் அவைகளுக்கு அதிகமாக ஆயத்தம் செய்வாய்.
“I have tried hard to provide [materials] for [building] the temple of Yahweh. I have provided nearly 4,000 tons of gold, and nearly 40,000 tons of silver. I have also provided a very large amount of iron and bronze; no one has been able to weigh it all. I have also gathered/provided lumber and stone [for the walls of the temple], but you may need to get some more of those things.
15 ௧௫ வேலை செய்யத்தக்க திரளான சிற்பிகளும், தச்சர்களும், கொத்தனார்களும், எந்த வேலையிலும் திறமைவாய்ந்தவர்களும் உன்னோடு இருக்கிறார்கள்.
There are many men [in Israel] who have good ability to cut big stones for making stone walls, and carpenters, and men who are very skilled at making various kinds of things.
16 ௧௬ பொன்னுக்கும், வெள்ளிக்கும், வெண்கலத்திற்கும், இரும்புக்கும் கணக்கில்லை; நீ எழுந்து காரியத்தை நடத்து; யெகோவா உன்னோடு இருப்பாராக என்றான்.
There are many men who know how to make things from gold and silver and bronze and iron. So now [I say to you], begin the work [of building the temple], and I hope/wish that Yahweh will help/be with you.”
17 ௧௭ தன்னுடைய மகனாகிய சாலொமோனுக்கு உதவிசெய்ய, தாவீது இஸ்ரவேலின் பிரபுக்கள் அனைவருக்கும் கற்பித்துச் சொன்னது:
Then David commanded that all the Israeli leaders must assist Solomon. He said to them,
18 ௧௮ உங்கள் தேவனாகிய யெகோவா உங்களோடு இருந்து நான்கு திசையிலும் உங்களுக்கு இளைப்பாறுதலைத் தந்தார் அல்லவா? தேசத்தின் குடிகளை என்னுடைய கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தார்; யெகோவாவுக்கு முன்பாகவும், அவருடைய மக்களுக்கு முன்பாகவும், தேசம் கீழ்ப்பட்டிருக்கிறது.
“Yahweh our God is certainly with/helping you [RHQ]. He has allowed you to have peace with all the nearby nations [RHQ]. He has enabled my [army] to conquer [IDM] them, so now Yahweh and my people control them.
19 ௧௯ இப்போதும் நீங்கள் உங்கள் இருதயத்தையும், உங்கள் ஆத்துமாவையும், உங்கள் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவை தேடுவதற்கு நேராக்கி, யெகோவாவுடைய உடன்படிக்கைப் பெட்டியையும், தேவனுடைய பரிசுத்தப் பணிபொருட்களையும், யெகோவாவுடைய நாமத்திற்குக் கட்டப்படும் அந்த ஆலயத்திற்குள் கொண்டுபோகும்படி, நீங்கள் எழுந்து, தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவின் பரிசுத்த இடத்தைக் கட்டுங்கள் என்றான்.
Now you must obey Yahweh completely. Help Solomon to arrange for building the temple for Yahweh God, in order that you can bring the Sacred Chest that contains the Ten Commandments and the other sacred items that belong to God into the temple that you will build to honor Yahweh.”
