Kenan, Mahalalel, Jared,

3 ௩ ஏனோக்கு, மெத்தூசலா, லாமேக்கு,

Enoch, Methuselah, Lamech.

4 ௪ நோவா, சேம், காம், யாப்பேத்.

The sons of Noah: Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

5 ௫ யாப்பேத்தின் மகன்கள் கோமர், மாகோகு, மாதாய், யாவான், தூபால், மேசேக்கு, தீராஸ் என்பவர்கள்.

The sons of Japheth: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras.

6 ௬ கோமருடைய மகன்கள் அஸ்கினாஸ், ரீப்பாத்து, தொகர்மா என்பவர்கள்.

The sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, Riphath, and Togarmah.

7 ௭ யாவானுடைய மகன்கள், எலீசா, தர்ஷீஸ், கித்தீம், தொதானீம் என்பவர்கள்.

And the sons of Javan: Elishah, Tarshish, the Kittites, and the Rodanites.

8 ௮ காமின் மகன்கள், கூஷ், மிஸ்ராயிம், பூத், கானான் என்பவர்கள்.

The sons of Ham: Cush, Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.

9 ௯ கூஷின் மகன்கள், சேபா, ஆவிலா, சப்தா, ராமா, சப்திகா என்பவர்கள்; ராமாவின் மகன்கள், சேபா, திதான் என்பவர்கள்.

The sons of Cush: Seba, Havilah, Sabta, Raamah, and Sabteca. The sons of Raamah: Sheba and Dedan.

10 ௧0 கூஷ் நிம்ரோதைப் பெற்றான்; இவன் பூமியிலே பலசாலியானான்.

Cush was the father of Nimrod, who began to be a mighty one on the earth.

11 ௧௧ மிஸ்ராயிம் லூதீமியர்களையும், ஆனாமியர்களையும், லெகாபீயர்களையும், நப்தூகீயர்களையும்,

Mizraim was the father of the Ludites, the Anamites, the Lehabites, the Naphtuhites,

12 ௧௨ பத்ருசியர்களையும், பெலிஸ்தர்களைப் பெற்ற கஸ்லூகியர்களையும், கப்தொரீயர்களையும் பெற்றான்.

the Pathrusites, the Casluhites (from whom the Philistines came), and the Caphtorites.

13 ௧௩ கானான் தன்னுடைய மூத்தமகனாகிய சீதோனையும், ஏத்தையும்,

And Canaan was the father of Sidon his firstborn, and of the Hittites,

14 ௧௪ எபூசியர்களையும், எமோரியர்களையும், கிர்காசியர்களையும்,

the Jebusites, the Amorites, the Girgashites,

15 ௧௫ ஏவியர்களையும், அர்கீயர்களையும், சீனியர்களையும்,

the Hivites, the Arkites, the Sinites,

16 ௧௬ அர்வாதியர்களையும், செமாரியர்களையும், ஆமாத்தியர்களையும் பெற்றான்.

the Arvadites, the Zemarites, and the Hamathites.

17 ௧௭ சேமின் மகன்கள், ஏலாம், அசூர், அர்பக்சாத், லூத், ஆராம், ஊத்ஸ், கூல், கேத்தெர், மேசேக் என்பவர்கள்.

The sons of Shem: Elam, Asshur, Arphaxad, Lud, and Aram. The sons of Aram: Uz, Hul, Gether, and Meshech.

18 ௧௮ அர்பக்சாத் சாலாவைப் பெற்றான்; சாலா ஏபேரைப் பெற்றான்.

Arphaxad was the father of Shelah, and Shelah was the father of Eber.

19 ௧௯ ஏபேருக்கு இரண்டு மகன்கள் பிறந்தார்கள்; ஒருவனுடைய பெயர் பேலேகு, ஏனெனில் அவனுடைய நாட்களில் பூமி பிரிக்கப்பட்டது; அவனுடைய சகோதரன் பெயர் யொக்தான்.

Two sons were born to Eber: One was named Peleg, because in his days the earth was divided, and his brother was named Joktan.

20 ௨0 யொக்தான் அல்மோதாதையும், சாலேப்பையும், அசர்மாவேத்தையும், யேராகையும்,

And Joktan was the father of Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah,

21 ௨௧ அதோராமையும், ஊசாலையும், திக்லாவையும்,

Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah,

22 ௨௨ ஏபாலையும், அபிமாவேலையும், சேபாவையும்,

Obal, Abimael, Sheba,

23 ௨௩ ஓப்பீரையும், ஆவிலாவையும், யோபாபையும், பெற்றான்; இவர்கள் எல்லோரும் யொக்தானின் மகன்கள்.

Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab. All these were sons of Joktan.

24 ௨௪ சேம், அர்பக்சாத், சாலா,

So from Shem came Arphaxad, Shelah,

25 ௨௫ ஏபேர், பேலேகு, ரெகூ,

Eber, Peleg, Reu,

26 ௨௬ செரூகு, நாகோர், தேராகு,

Serug, Nahor, Terah,

27 ௨௭ ஆபிராமாகிய ஆபிரகாம்.

and Abram (that is, Abraham).

28 ௨௮ ஆபிரகாமின் மகன்கள், ஈசாக்கு, இஸ்மவேல் என்பவர்கள்.

The sons of Abraham were Isaac and Ishmael.

29 ௨௯ இவர்களுடைய சந்ததிகளாவன: இஸ்மவேலின் மூத்த மகனாகிய நெபாயோத், கேதார், அத்பியேல், மிப்சாம்,

These are their genealogies: Nebaioth the firstborn of Ishmael, then Kedar, Adbeel, Mibsam,

30 ௩0 மிஷ்மா, தூமா, மாசா, ஆதாத், தேமா,

Mishma, Dumah, Massa, Hadad, Tema,

31 ௩௧ யெத்தூர், நாபீஸ், கேத்மா என்பவர்கள்; இவர்கள் இஸ்மவேலின் மகன்கள்.

Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah. These were the sons of Ishmael.

32 ௩௨ ஆபிரகாமின் மறுமனையாட்டியாகிய கேத்தூராள் பெற்ற மகன்கள் சிம்ரான், யக்க்ஷான், மேதான், மீதியான், இஸ்பாக், சூவா என்பவர்கள்; யக்க்ஷானினுடைய மகன்கள் சேபா, தேதான் என்பவர்கள்.

The sons born to Keturah, Abraham’s concubine: Zimran, Jokshan, Medan, Midian, Ishbak, and Shuah. The sons of Jokshan: Sheba and Dedan.

33 ௩௩ மீதியானின் மகன்கள் ஏப்பா, ஏப்பேர், ஆனோக்கு, அபீதா, எல்தாகா என்பவர்கள்; இவர்கள் எல்லோரும் கேத்தூராளின் மகன்கள்.

The sons of Midian: Ephah, Epher, Hanoch, Abida, and Eldaah. All of these were Keturah’s sons.

34 ௩௪ ஆபிரகாம் ஈசாக்கைப் பெற்றான்; ஈசாக்கின் மகன்கள் ஏசா, இஸ்ரவேல் என்பவர்கள்.

Abraham was the father of Isaac. The sons of Isaac: Esau and Israel.

35 ௩௫ ஏசாவின் மகன்கள் எலிப்பாஸ், ரெகுவேல், எயூஷ், யாலாம், கோராகு என்பவர்கள்.

The sons of Esau: Eliphaz, Reuel, Jeush, Jalam, and Korah.

36 ௩௬ எலிப்பாசினுடைய மகன்கள் தேமான், ஓமார், செப்பி, கத்தாம், கேனாஸ், திம்னா, அமலேக்கு என்பவர்கள்.

The sons of Eliphaz: Teman, Omar, Zepho, Gatam, and Kenaz; and by Timna, Amalek.

37 ௩௭ ரெகுவேலினுடைய மகன்கள் நகாத், செராகு, சம்மா, மீசா என்பவர்கள்.

The sons of Reuel: Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah.

38 ௩௮ சேயீரின் மகன்கள் லோத்தான், சோபால், சிபியோன், ஆனா, தீசோன், ஏத்சேர், திஷோன் என்பவர்கள்.

The sons of Seir: Lotan, Shobal, Zibeon, Anah, Dishon, Ezer, and Dishan.

39 ௩௯ லோத்தான் மகன்கள் ஓரி, ஓமாம் என்பவர்கள்; லோத்தானின் சகோதரி திம்னாள் என்பவள்.

The sons of Lotan: Hori and Homam. Timna was Lotan’s sister.

40 ௪0 சோபாலின் மகன்கள் அல்வான், மானகாத், ஏபால், செப்பி, ஓனாம் என்பவர்கள்; சிபியோனின் மகன்கள் அயா, ஆனாகு என்பவர்கள்.

The sons of Shobal: Alvan, Manahath, Ebal, Shepho, and Onam. The sons of Zibeon: Aiah and Anah.

41 ௪௧ ஆனாகின் மகன்களில் ஒருவன் திஷோன் என்பவன்; திஷோனின் மகன்கள் அம்ராம், எஸ்பான், இத்தரான், கெரான் என்பவர்கள்.

The son of Anah: Dishon. The sons of Dishon: Hemdan, Eshban, Ithran, and Cheran.

42 ௪௨ திஷானின் மகன்கள் பில்கான், சகவான், யாக்கான் என்பவர்கள்; ஏத்சேரின் மகன்கள் ஊத்ஸ், அரான் என்பவர்கள்.

The sons of Ezer: Bilhan, Zaavan, and Akan. The sons of Dishan: Uz and Aran.

43 ௪௩ இஸ்ரவேலர்களை ஒரு இராஜா ஆளாததற்குமுன்னே, ஏதோம் தேசத்தில் அரசாண்ட இராஜாக்கள்: பேயோரின் மகன் பேலா என்பவன்; இவனுடைய பட்டணத்தின் பெயர் தின்காபா.

These are the kings who reigned in the land of Edom before any king reigned over the Israelites: Bela son of Beor. His city was named Dinhabah.

44 ௪௪ பேலா இறந்தபின்பு போஸ்றா ஊரைச்சேர்ந்த சேராகின் மகன் யோபாப் அவன் இருந்த இடத்தில் இராஜாவானான்.

When Bela died, Jobab son of Zerah from Bozrah reigned in his place.

45 ௪௫ யோபாப் இறந்தபின்பு, தேமானியர்களுடைய தேசத்தானாகிய ஊஷாம் அவன் இருந்த இடத்தில் இராஜாவானான்.

When Jobab died, Husham from the land of the Temanites reigned in his place.

46 ௪௬ ஊஷாம் இறந்தபின்பு, பேதாதின் மகன் ஆதாத் அவன் இருந்த இடத்தில் இராஜாவானான், இவன் மீதியானியர்களை மோவாபின் நாட்டிலே தோற்கடித்தவன்; இவனுடைய பட்டணத்தின் பெயர் ஆவீத்.

When Husham died, Hadad son of Bedad, who defeated Midian in the country of Moab, reigned in his place. And the name of his city was Avith.

47 ௪௭ ஆதாத் இறந்தபின்பு, மஸ்ரேக்கா ஊரைச்சேர்ந்த சம்லா அவன் இருந்த இடத்தில் இராஜாவானான்.

When Hadad died, Samlah from Masrekah reigned in his place.

48 ௪௮ சம்லா இறந்தபின்பு, நதியோரமான ரெகொபோத்தானாகிய சவுல் அவன் இருந்த இடத்தில் இராஜாவானான்.

When Samlah died, Shaul from Rehoboth on the Euphrates reigned in his place.

49 ௪௯ சவுல் இறந்தபின்பு, அக்போரின் மகன் பாகாலானான் அவன் இருந்த இடத்தில் இராஜாவானான்.

When Shaul died, Baal-hanan son of Achbor reigned in his place.

50 ௫0 பாகாலானான் இறந்தபின்பு, ஆதாத் அவன் இருந்த இடத்தில் இராஜாவானான்; இவனுடைய பட்டணத்தினுடைய பெயர் பாகி; மேசகாபின் மகளாகிய மத்ரேத்தின் மகளான அவனுடைய மனைவியின் பெயர் மெகேதபேல்.

When Baal-hanan died, Hadad reigned in his place. His city was named Pau, and his wife’s name was Mehetabel daughter of Matred, the daughter of Me-zahab.

51 ௫௧ ஆதாத் இறந்தபின்பு, ஏதோமை அரசாண்ட பிரபுக்கள்; திம்னா பிரபு, அல்வா பிரபு, எதேத் பிரபு,

Then Hadad died. Now the chiefs of Edom were Timna, Alvah, Jetheth,

52 ௫௨ அகோலிபாமா பிரபு, ஏலா பிரபு, பினோன் பிரபு,

Oholibamah, Elah, Pinon,

53 ௫௩ கேனாஸ் பிரபு, தேமான் பிரபு, மிப்சார் பிரபு,

Kenaz, Teman, Mibzar,

54 ௫௪ மக்தியேல் பிரபு, ஈராம் பிரபு, இவர்களே ஏதோமின் பிரபுக்கள்.

Magdiel, and Iram. These were the chiefs of Edom.
