உன்னதப்பாட்டு 3
1 இரவு முழுவதும் என் படுக்கையில் இருந்தேன்; என் உயிர்க் காதலரை நான் தேடினேன். நான் அவரைத் தேடியும், அவரைக் காணவில்லை.
In my bed by night I sought him that my soule loued: I sought him, but I found him not.
2 நான் இப்பொழுதே எழுந்திருப்பேன், பட்டணத்தின் வீதிகளிலும் பொது இடங்களிலும் போய்ப்பார்ப்பேன். அங்கே நான் என் உயிர்க் காதலரைத் தேடுவேன். அப்படியே நான் அவரைத் தேடினேன், ஆனாலும் அவரைக் காணவில்லை.
I will rise therefore nowe, and goe about in the citie, by the streetes and by the open places, and wil seeke him that my soule loueth: I sought him, but I found him not.
3 காவலர்கள் பட்டணத்தைச் சுற்றித் திரிகையில் என்னைக் கண்டார்கள். “என் உயிர்க் காதலரைக் கண்டீர்களா?” என்று நான் கேட்டேன்.
The watchmen that went about the citie, found mee: to whome I said, Haue you seene him, whome my soule loueth?
4 அவர்களை நான் கடந்துசென்றதும் என் உயிர்க் காதலரை நான் கண்டேன். நான் அவரைப் பிடித்துக்கொண்டேன்; என் தாயின் வீட்டிற்கும், என்னைப் பெற்றவளின் அறைக்கும் கூட்டிக்கொண்டு போகும்வரை நான் அவரைப் போகவிடவேயில்லை.
When I had past a litle from them, then I found him whom my soule loued: I tooke holde on him and left him not, till I had brought him vnto my mothers house into the chamber of her that conceiued me.
5 எருசலேமின் மங்கையரே, கலைமான்கள்மேலும் வெளியின் பெண்மான்கள்மேலும் ஆணை! காதலைத் தட்டி எழுப்பவேண்டாம், அது தானே விரும்பும்வரை எழுப்பவேண்டாம்.
I charge you, O daughters of Ierusalem, by the roes and by the hindes of the fielde, that ye stirre not vp, nor waken my loue vntill she please.
6 பாலைவனத்திலிருந்து புகைமண்டலத்தைப்போல வருகின்ற இவர் யார்? வெள்ளைப்போளம் மணக்க, சாம்பிராணி புகைய, வர்த்தகர்களின் வாசனைத் திரவியங்கள் யாவும் மணங்கமழ வருகின்ற இவர் யார்?
Who is shee that commeth vp out of the wildernes like pillars of smoke perfumed with myrrhe and incense, and with all the spices of the marchant?
7 இதோ, சாலொமோனின் படுக்கை! இஸ்ரயேலின் மிகச்சிறந்த வீரர்களில் அறுபது வீரர்கள் அதைச் சுற்றி நிற்கிறார்கள்.
Beholde his bed, which is Salomons: threescore strong men are round about it, of the valiant men of Israel.
8 அவர்கள் எல்லோரும் வாளேந்திய வீரர்கள், அவர்கள் யுத்தத்தில் அனுபவமிக்கவர்கள், இரவின் பயங்கரத்தை எதிர்க்க தம் இடுப்பில் வாள் கொண்டுள்ளவர்கள்.
They all handle the sworde, and are expert in warre, euery one hath his sword vpon his thigh for the feare by night.
9 சாலொமோன் அரசன் தனக்கென லெபனோனின் மரத்தினால் ஒரு பல்லக்கை செய்தார்.
King Salomon made himselfe a palace of the trees of Lebanon.
10 அதின் தூண்களை வெள்ளியினாலும், அதின் சாய்மனையைத் தங்கத்தினாலும், உட்காருமிடத்தை இரத்தாம்பர நிற மெத்தையினாலும் செய்ய வைத்தார்; அதின் உட்புறத்தை எருசலேமின் மங்கையர் தங்கள் அன்பால் அலங்கரித்திருந்தார்கள்.
Hee made the pillars thereof of siluer, and the pauement thereof of gold, the hangings thereof of purple, whose middes was paued with the loue of the daughters of Ierusalem.
11 சீயோனின் மகள்களே, வெளியே வாருங்கள். சாலொமோன் அரசன் மகுடம் அணிந்திருப்பதைப் பாருங்கள், அவருடைய உள்ளம் மகிழ்ச்சியுற்ற நாளான அவருடைய திருமண நாளிலேயே அந்த மகுடத்தை அவருடைய தாயார் அவருக்குச் சூட்டினாள்.
Come forth, ye daughters of Zion, and behold the King Salomon with the crowne, wherewith his mother crowned him in ye day of his mariage, and in the day of the gladnes of his heart.
