ரோமர் 1

1 கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவின் ஊழியனாய் இருக்கின்ற பவுலாகிய நான் அப்போஸ்தலனாய் இருக்கும்படி அழைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறேன். இறைவனுடைய நற்செய்தியை அறிவிப்பதற்காகப் பிரித்தெடுக்கப்பட்டும் இருக்கிறேன்.

Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, a called Apostle, set apart for the gospel of God,

2 அவர் இந்த நற்செய்தியை, முன்னதாகவே பரிசுத்த வேதவசனங்களில், தமது இறைவாக்கினர்மூலம் வாக்களித்தார்.

(which he formerly announced by his prophets, in the Sacred Writings, )

3 இறைவனுடைய மகனைப்பற்றியதே இந்த நற்செய்தி. இவர் பூமியில் மாம்சத்தின்படி, தாவீதின் சந்ததியில் இருந்தார்.

concerning his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord; descended from David, as to his flesh,

4 பரிசுத்தமுள்ள ஆவியானவரின் வல்லமையினால், இறந்தோரிலிருந்து உயிருடன் எழுப்பப்பட்டு, இவர் இறைவனுடைய மகன் என்று வல்லமையுடன் அறிவிக்கப்பட்டார். இவரே நம்முடைய கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்து.

and constituted the Son of God, with power, as to his holy spiritual nature, after his resurrection from the dead:

5 இவர் மூலமாக, இவருடைய பெயரின் நிமித்தம் நாங்கள் கிருபையையும், அப்போஸ்தல ஊழியத்தையும் பெற்றோம். விசுவாசத்தினால் வரும் கீழ்ப்படிதலுக்கு யூதரல்லாதவர்களிலிருந்தும் இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவுக்கு சொந்தமாகும்படி மக்களை அழைப்பதற்கே இந்தக் கிருபையைப் பெற்றுக்கொண்டோம்.

by whom we have received favor, even the apostolic office, for the obedience of faith among all nations, for his name's sake:

6 நீங்களும் இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவுக்கு சொந்தமாகும்படி அழைக்கப்பட்டவர்களுக்குள் இடம்பெற்றிருக்கிறீர்கள்.

among whom are you, also, called of Jesus Christ:

7 இறைவனால் அன்பு செலுத்தப்பட்டவர்களும், பரிசுத்தவான்களாய் இருக்கும்படி அழைக்கப்பட்டவர்களுமான ரோம் நகரில் இருக்கிற உங்கள் அனைவருக்கும் எழுதுகிறதாவது: நம்முடைய பிதாவாகிய இறைவனாலும், கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவினாலும் உங்களுக்குக் கிருபையும் சமாதானமும் உண்டாவதாக.

To all who are in Rome, beloved of God, called saints; favor be to you, and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

8 முதலாவதாக, உங்கள் விசுவாசம் உலகம் எங்கும் அறியப்படுகிறதினாலே, உங்கள் எல்லோருக்காகவும் இயேசுகிறிஸ்துமூலமாய், என் இறைவனுக்கு நன்றி செலுத்துகிறேன்.

First of all, I thank my God, through the Lord Jesus Christ, for you all, that your faith is published in all the world.

9 எல்லா வேளைகளிலும், என்னுடைய மன்றாட்டுகளில் உங்களை எப்படித் தொடர்ந்து நினைவுகூருகிறேன் என்பதற்கு இறைவனே சாட்சியாய் இருக்கிறார். நான் இறைவனுடைய மகனைப்பற்றிய நற்செய்தியைப் பிரசங்கிக்கிறதினாலே, என் ஆவியில் இறைவனுக்கு ஊழியம் செய்கிறேன்.

For God is my witness, whom I serve sincerely in the gospel of his Son, that continually I make mention of you;

10 இறைவனுடைய சித்தத்தின்படி நான் உங்களிடத்தில் வருவதற்கான வழி இப்பொழுதாவது திறக்கப்பட வேண்டுமென்று மன்றாடுகிறேன்.

always in my prayers, requesting that, by some means, now at length, I may have a prosperous journey, (God willing, ) to come to you.

11 உங்களைப் பெலப்படுத்துவதற்காக, நான் ஆவிக்குரிய வரங்களில் சிலவற்றை உங்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கும்படி, உங்களைக் காண ஆவலாயிருக்கிறேன்.

For I greatly desire to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift, that you may be established;

12 இதனால் உங்களுடைய விசுவாசத்தினாலே நானும், என்னுடைய விசுவாசத்தினாலே நீங்களுமாக நாம் ஒருவரையொருவர் உற்சாகப்படுத்திக்கொள்ளலாம்.

and that I may be comforted, together with you, through the mutual faith both of you and me.

13 பிரியமானவர்களே, யூதரல்லாத மக்களின் மத்தியில் நான் அறுவடை செய்ததுபோலவே, உங்கள் மத்தியிலும் அறுவடை செய்யும்படி, நான் உங்களிடத்தில் வருவதற்குப் பலமுறை திட்டமிட்டேன்; ஆனாலும் இதுவரைக்கும் வரமுடியாதபடி தடை ஏற்பட்டுக் கொண்டே இருக்கிறது. இதை நீங்கள் அறியாதிருப்பதை நான் விரும்பவில்லை.

Now, brethren, I would not have you ignorant, that I often purposed to come to you, thought I have, as yet been hindered; that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among the other Gentiles.

14 நான் கிரேக்கருக்கும், கிரேக்கர் அல்லாதவர்களுக்கும், ஞானிகளுக்கும், மூடர்களுக்கும் கடமைப்பட்டவனாய் இருக்கிறேன்.

I am a debtor, both to the Greeks and to the barbarians; both to the wise and to the unwise.

15 அதனாலேயே ரோம் நகரில் இருக்கிற உங்களுக்குங்கூட நற்செய்தியைப் பிரசங்கிக்க இவ்வளவு ஆவலாயிருக்கிறேன்.

Therefore, I am willing, according to my ability, to declare the glad tidings, even to you who are in Rome.

16 ஏனெனில் நற்செய்தியைக்குறித்து நான் வெட்கப்படவில்லை. அதுவே விசுவாசிக்கிற ஒவ்வொருவருக்கும் இறைவனுடைய இரட்சிப்பைக் கொடுக்கின்ற வல்லமையாய் இருக்கிறது. அந்த நற்செய்தி முதலாவது யூதர்களுக்கும், பின்பு யூதரல்லாத மக்களுக்கும் கொடுக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel; because it is the power of God for salvation, to every one who believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

17 ஏனெனில் இந்த நற்செய்தியில்தான், இறைவனிடமிருந்து வரும் நீதி வெளிப்படுத்தப்படுகிறது. “நீதிமான்கள் விசுவாசத்தினாலே வாழ்வார்கள்” என்று எழுதப்பட்டிருக்கிறபடி, நீதி தொடக்கத்திலிருந்து முடிவுவரை அந்த விசுவாசத்தினாலே வருகிறது.

For in it the justification of God by faith is revealed, in order to faith; as it is written, "Now the just by faith, shall live."

18 தங்களுடைய தீமையினாலே மனிதர்கள் சத்தியத்தை அடக்கி ஒடுக்குகிறார்கள். பக்தியில்லாமை மற்றும் தீமை இவை எல்லாவற்றிற்கும் விரோதமாக, பரலோகத்திலிருந்து இறைவனுடைய கோபம் வெளிப்படுத்தப்படுகிறது.

Besides the wrath of God is revealed from heaven, against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth by unrighteousness.

19 ஏனென்றால், இறைவனைப்பற்றி அறியக்கூடியவை அவர்களுக்குத் தெளிவாக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது. அதை இறைவனே அவர்களுக்குத் தெளிவுபடுத்தியிருக்கிறார்.

Because that which may be known of God is manifest among them, for God has manifested it to them:

20 உலகம் படைக்கப்பட்டதிலிருந்து, இறைவனுடைய நித்திய வல்லமை, இறை இயல்பு ஆகிய இறைவனுடைய காணப்படாத தன்மைகள் தெளிவாகக் காணப்படுகின்றன. படைக்கப்பட்டவைகளிலிருந்து அந்தத் தன்மைகள் விளங்கிக்கொள்ளப்படுகின்றன. இதனால் மனிதர்கள் சாக்குப்போக்குச் சொல்லமுடியாது. (aïdios g126)

(for his invisible attributes, even his eternal power and divinity, since the creation of the world, are very evident; being known by his works: ) so that they are inexcusable. (aïdios g126)

21 அவர்கள் இறைவனை அறிந்தும்கூட, அவரை இறைவனாக மகிமைப்படுத்தவில்லை, அவருக்கு நன்றி செலுத்தவும் இல்லை. மாறாக அவர்களுடைய சிந்தனை பயனற்றதாகி, அவர்களுடைய உணர்வற்ற இருதயங்கள் இருளடைந்தன.

Because, though they knew God, they did not glorify him as God, neither gave him thanks; but became foolish by their own reasonings, and their inconsiderate heart was darkened.

22 தங்களை ஞானிகள் என்று சொல்லிக்கொண்டாலும், அவர்கள் மூடர்கள் ஆனார்கள்.

Professing to be wise men, they became fools:

23 அவர்கள் அழியாமையுடைய மகிமையான இறைவனை வழிபடாமல், மனிதர்கள், பறவைகள், மிருகங்கள், ஊரும் உயிரினங்கள் போன்ற உருவங்களில் செய்யப்பட்ட அழிந்துபோகும் சிலைகளை வழிபட்டனர்.

for they changed the glory of the immortal God into the likeness of an image of mortal man, of fowls, or four-footed beasts, and of reptiles.

24 ஆகவே இறைவன் அவர்களை அவர்களுடைய பாவ ஆசைகளுக்கு விட்டுவிட்டார். எனவே அவர்கள் ஒருவரோடொருவர் தங்கள் உடல்களை இழிவுபடுத்தும் அசுத்தமான பாலுறவுகளில் ஈடுபட்டார்கள்.

Therefore, also, God, through the lusts of their own hearts, delivered them over to uncleanness, to dishonor their own bodies among themselves.

25 அவர்கள் இறைவனைப்பற்றிய சத்தியத்தைப் புறக்கணித்துப் பொய்யை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டு, படைத்தவரை விட்டுவிட்டு படைக்கப்பட்டவைகளை வழிபட்டு, அவைகளுக்கே பணிசெய்தார்கள். படைத்தவரே என்றென்றும் துதிக்கப்படத்தக்கவர். ஆமென். (aiōn g165)

Who changed the truth concerning God, into a lie, and worshiped and served the creature, rather than the Creator, who is forever blessed. Amen. (aiōn g165)

26 இதனால், இறைவன் அவர்களை வெட்கக்கேடான காம ஆசைகளுக்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தார். அவர்களுடைய பெண்களுங்கூட இயல்பான பாலுறவை கைவிட்டு, இயல்புக்கு விரோதமான உறவுகளில் ஈடுபட்டார்கள்.

For this, God delivered them over to shameful passions; for even their females changed the natural use unto what is contrary to nature.

27 அவ்விதமாகவே ஆண்களும், இயல்பான பெண்களுடனான பாலுறவை விட்டுவிட்டு, ஆணுடன் ஆண் உறவுகொள்ளும்படியான காமவேட்கை கொண்டார்கள். ஆண்களுடன் ஆண்கள் அசிங்கமான செயல்களில் ஈடுபட்டார்கள். தங்களுடைய முறைகேடான செயல்களுக்கு ஏற்ற தண்டனையைத் தங்களிலேயேப் பெற்றுக்கொண்டார்கள்.

In like manner, also, the males, leaving the natural use of the female, burned in their lust toward one another, males with males, working out that which is shameful, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was due.

28 மேலும், அவர்கள் இறைவனைப்பற்றிய அறிவைக் காத்துக்கொள்வதை ஒரு தகுதியான செயலாக எண்ணவில்லை. இதனால் அவர்கள் செய்யத் தகாதவைகளைச் செய்யும்படி, இறைவன் அவர்களைச் சீர்கெட்ட சிந்தைக்கும் விட்டுவிட்டார்.

And as they did not like to acknowledge God, God delivered them over to an undiscerning mind, to work those things which are not suitable;

29 அவர்கள் எல்லாவித அநியாயத்தினாலும், தீமையினாலும், பேராசையினாலும், சீர்கேட்டினாலும் நிறைந்தவர்கள் ஆகிவிட்டார்கள். அவர்கள் பொறாமையினாலும், கொலையினாலும், சண்டையினாலும், வஞ்சனையினாலும், பகையினாலும் நிறைந்திருக்கிறார்கள்.

being filled with all injustice, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, bad habits, whisperers,

30 அவர்கள் அவதூறு பேசுவோராயும், தூற்றுகிறவர்களாகவும், இறைவனை வெறுக்கிறவர்களாகவும், அவமரியாதை செய்கிறவர்களாகவும், இறுமாப்புக் கொண்டவர்களாகவும், பெருமை பேசுகிறவர்களாகவும் இருக்கிறார்கள். அவர்கள் தீமைசெய்யும் புதிய வழிகளைக் கண்டுபிடிக்கிறார்கள். தங்கள் பெற்றோருக்குக் கீழ்ப்படியாதிருக்கிறார்கள்.

revilers, haters of God, insolent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil pleasure, disobedient to parents,

31 அவர்கள் உணர்வில்லாதவர்கள், உண்மை இல்லாதவர்கள், அன்பில்லாதவர்கள், இரக்கம் இல்லாதவர்கள்.

impudent, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful.

32 இப்படிப்பட்டவைகளைச் செய்கிறவர்கள் மரணத்துக்கேத் தகுதியானவர்கள் என்ற இறைவனுடைய நீதியான நியமத்தை அவர்கள் அறிந்திருக்கிறார்கள். அப்படியிருந்தும்கூட, இந்தக் காரியங்களைத் தாங்கள் தொடர்ந்து செய்கிறதுமல்லாமல், இவைகளைச் செய்கிறவர்களையும் பாராட்டுகிறார்கள்.

Some, who clearly understand the law of God, (that they who practice such things are worthy of death, ) not only do these things, but even commend those who practice them.
