ரோமர் 14
1 விசுவாசத்தில் பலவீனமாயிருக்கிறவனை, அவனுடைய கருத்து வேறுபாடுகளைக்குறித்து அவனுடன் வாதாடாமல் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளுங்கள்.
And receive him who is weak in the faith—not to determinations of reasonings;
2 ஒருவனுடைய விசுவாசம், எல்லாவித உணவையும் சாப்பிட அவனை அனுமதிக்கிறது. ஆனால் விசுவாசத்தில் பலவீனமாய் இருக்கிற இன்னொருவனோ, மரக்கறி உணவை மட்டுமே சாப்பிடுகிறான்.
one believes that he may eat all things—and he who is weak eats herbs;
3 எனவே எல்லாவகை உணவையும் சாப்பிடுகிறவன் அவற்றைச் சாப்பிடாமல் தவிர்த்துக்கொள்கிறவனை இகழ்வாகப் பார்க்கக்கூடாது. அதுபோல் எல்லாவகை உணவையும் சாப்பிடாதவனோ எல்லாவகை உணவைச் சாப்பிடுகிறவனில் குற்றம் காணவும் கூடாது. ஏனெனில் இறைவன் அவனை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டிருக்கிறாரே.
do not let him who is eating despise him who is not eating: and do not let him who is not eating judge him who is eating, for God received him.
4 இன்னொருவனுடைய வேலைக்காரனை நியாயந்தீர்க்க நீ யார்? அவன் நின்றாலும் விழுந்தாலும் அதற்கு அவனுடைய சொந்த எஜமானரே பொறுப்பாளி. அவன் உறுதியாய் நிற்பான், ஏனெனில் கர்த்தர் அவனுக்கு உறுதியாய் நிற்க ஆற்றலைக் கொடுக்க வல்லவராக இருக்கிறார்.
You—who are you that are judging another’s domestic [affairs]? To his own master he stands or falls; and he will be made to stand, for God is able to make him stand.
5 ஒருவன் ஒருநாளைவிட, இன்னொரு குறிப்பிட்ட நாள் சிறந்தது என்று எண்ணுகிறான்; ஆனால் இன்னொருவனோ, எல்லா நாட்களையும் ஒரேவிதமாகவே எண்ணுகிறான். ஒவ்வொருவனும் தன்னுடைய மனதில் இவற்றைக்குறித்து உறுதியாகத் தீர்மானித்துக் கொள்ளவேண்டும்.
One judges one day above another, and another judges every day [alike]; let each be fully assured in his own mind.
6 ஒருநாளை சிறப்பான ஒன்றாக எண்ணுகிறவன், கர்த்தருக்காகவே அதைச் செய்கிறான். இறைச்சியைச் சாப்பிடுகிறவனும் இறைவனுக்கு நன்றி செலுத்திவிட்டுச் சாப்பிடுவதனால், அவனும் கர்த்தருக்காகவே அதைச் செய்கிறான்; அப்படியே சிலவற்றைச் சாப்பிடாமல் தவிர்த்துக்கொள்கிறவனும், இறைவனுக்கு நன்றி செலுத்துகிறதினால் கர்த்தருக்கென்றே அதைச் செய்கிறான்.
He who is regarding the day, he regards [it] to the LORD, and he who is not regarding the day, he does not regard [it] to the LORD. He who is eating, he eats to the LORD, for he gives thanks to God; and he who is not eating, he does not eat to the LORD, and gives thanks to God.
7 ஏனெனில் நம்மில் யாரும் தனக்கென்று மட்டுமே வாழ்வதுமில்லை, நம்மில் யாரும் தனக்கென்று மட்டுமே மரிப்பதுமில்லை.
For none of us lives to himself, and none dies to himself;
8 நாம் வாழ்ந்தாலும் கர்த்தருக்கென்றே வாழ்கிறோம்; நாம் மரித்தாலும் கர்த்தருக்கென்றே மரிக்கிறோம். எனவே நாம் வாழ்ந்தாலும் மரித்தாலும் கர்த்தருடையவர்கள்.
for both, if we may live, we live to the LORD; if also we may die, we die to the LORD; both then if we may live, also if we may die, we are the LORD’s;
9 கிறிஸ்துவும் மரித்தவர்களுக்கும் உயிருடன் இருக்கிறவர்களுக்கும் ஆண்டவராய் இருக்கவேண்டுமென்கிற காரணத்திற்காகவே மரித்து, உயிருடன் எழுந்தார்.
for because of this Christ both died and rose again, and lived again, that He may be Lord both of dead and of living.
10 இப்படியிருக்க நீ ஏன் உன் சகோதரனை நியாயந்தீர்க்கிறாய்? ஏன் உன் சகோதரனை உதாசீனம் செய்கிறாய்? ஏனெனில் நாம் எல்லோரும் இறைவனுடைய நியாயத்தீர்ப்பின் சிங்காசனத்திற்கு முன்பாக நிற்போம்.
And you, why do you judge your brother? Or again, you, why do you set at nothing your brother? For we will all stand at the judgment seat of the Christ;
11 எழுதப்பட்டிருக்கிறபடியே: “‘நான் வாழ்வது நிச்சயம்போலவே, ஒவ்வொரு முழங்காலும் எனக்கு முன்பாக முடங்கும்; ஒவ்வொரு நாவும் இறைவனை அறிக்கையிடும் என்பதும் நிச்சயம்’” என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்கிறார்.
for it has been written: “I live! Says the LORD—Every knee will bow to Me, and every tongue will confess to God”;
12 எனவே நாம் ஒவ்வொருவரும் நம்மைக்குறித்து இறைவனுக்குக் கணக்குக் கொடுப்போம்.
so, then, each of us will give reckoning to God concerning himself;
13 ஆகவே நாம் ஒருவரையொருவர் நியாயந்தீர்ப்பதை நிறுத்துவோம். உங்கள் சகோதரர்களுடைய வழியில் அவர்கள் தடுக்கி விழக்கூடிய தடைக்கல்லையோ, இடையூறையோ போடாதிருக்கத் தீர்மானித்துக்கொள்ளுங்கள்.
therefore, may we judge one another no longer, but rather judge this, not to put a stumbling-stone before the brother, or an offense.
14 கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுவில் இருக்கிற ஒருவனாகிய நான், எந்த உணவும் தன்னிலேயே அசுத்தமானது அல்ல என்பதை திடமாய் நம்புகிறேன். ஆனால் யாராவது எந்த உணவையும் அசுத்தமானது என நம்பினால், அது அவனுக்கு அசுத்தமானதாகவே இருக்கும்.
I have known, and am persuaded, in the Lord Jesus, that nothing [is] unclean of itself, except to him who is reckoning anything to be unclean—to that one [it is] unclean;
15 நீ சாப்பிடுகிற உணவின் காரணமாக உன் சகோதரன் மனத்தாங்கல் அடைந்தால், நீ அவனில் அன்பு காட்டுகிறவனாய் நடந்துகொள்ளவில்லை. நீ சாப்பிடும் உணவினால் எந்த சகோதரனுக்காக கிறிஸ்து மரித்தாரோ அந்த சகோதரனை நீ அழித்துப்போட வேண்டாம்.
and if your brother is grieved through food, you no longer walk according to love; do not destroy with your food that one for whom Christ died.
16 நீங்கள் நன்மை என எண்ணுகிறதை மற்றவர்கள் தீமையாய்ப் பேசுவதற்கு இடங்கொடுக்க வேண்டாம்.
Do not let, then, evil be spoken of your good,
17 ஏனெனில் இறைவனுடைய அரசு சாப்பிடுவதையும் குடிப்பதையும் பற்றியதுமான விஷயமல்ல. அது நீதி, சமாதானம் மற்றும் பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவருக்குள்ளான சந்தோஷம் என்பவைகளைப் பற்றியதே.
for the Kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit;
18 ஏனெனில் இவ்விதம் கிறிஸ்துவுக்கு ஊழியம் செய்கிறவன் இறைவனுக்குப் பிரியமாய் இருப்பான். அவன் மனிதரால் நன்மதிப்பையும் பெறுவான்.
for he who in these things is serving the Christ, [is] acceptable to God and approved of men.
19 எனவே நாம் சமாதானத்தை நம் மத்தியில் கொண்டுவரும் காரியங்களிலும், ஒருவரையொருவர் பக்தியில் பலப்படுத்தும் காரியங்களிலும் ஈடுபட முயற்சிசெய்வோம்.
So, then, may we pursue the things of peace, and the things of building up one another.
20 உணவுக்காக இறைவனுடைய வேலையை அழித்துப்போட வேண்டாம். எல்லா உணவும் சுத்தமானதுதான், ஆனால் ஒருவன் சாப்பிடும் உணவு மற்றொருவனுக்குத் தடையாக இருக்குமானால், அதை அவன் சாப்பிடுவது தீயதுதான்.
Do not cast down the work of God for the sake of food; all things, indeed, [are] pure, but evil [is] to the man who is eating through stumbling.
21 இறைச்சியைச் சாப்பிடுவதோ, திராட்சை இரசத்தைக் குடிப்பதோ, அல்லது வேறு எதைச் செய்வதோ, உனது சகோதரன் பாவத்தில் விழுவதற்குக் காரணமாய் இருக்குமானால், அவற்றைச் செய்யாதிருப்பது நல்லது.
[It is] not right to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor to [do anything] in which your brother stumbles, or is made to fall, or is weak.
22 இந்த விஷயத்தில் நீ கொண்டிருக்கும் விசுவாசம் உனக்கும் இறைவனுக்கும் இடையே இருக்கட்டும். தான் சரியென்று ஏற்றுக்கொண்டதைக்குறித்து தனக்குள் குற்ற உணர்வு ஏற்படாதிருப்பவன் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்பட்டவன்.
You have faith! Have [it] to yourself before God; blessed is he who is not judging himself in what he approves,
23 ஆனால், யாராவது தான் சாப்பிடுவதைக்குறித்து அது சரியென்று விசுவாசம் இல்லாதிருந்தால், அவன் தன்னைத்தானே குற்றப்படுத்துகிறான். ஏனெனில் அவன் அதைச் சாப்பிடும்போது விசுவாச வாழ்வின் அடிப்படையில் சாப்பிடவில்லை; விசுவாசத்திலிருந்து வராததெல்லாம் பாவமே.
and he who is making a difference, if he may eat, has been condemned, because [it is] not of faith; and all that [is] not of faith is sin.
