வெளிப்படுத்தின விசேஷம் 9
1 ஐந்தாவது இறைத்தூதன் தன்னுடைய எக்காளத்தை ஊதினான், அப்பொழுது வானத்திலிருந்து பூமியில் விழுந்திருந்த ஒரு நட்சத்திரத்தைக் கண்டேன். பாதாளத்தின் நுழைவாசலுக்குரிய திறவுகோல் அதனிடம் கொடுக்கப்பட்டது. (Abyssos g12)
Then the fifth angel blew; and I saw a star that had fallen on the earth from the heavens, and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit. (Abyssos g12)
2 அந்த பாதாளக்குழி திறக்கப்பட்டபோது அதிலிருந்து மிகப்பெரிய சூளையிலிருந்து எழும்பும் புகையைப்போல் புகை எழும்பியது. அந்தப் பாதாளக்குழியிலிருந்து எழும்பிய புகையினால், சூரியனும், வானமும் இருளடைந்தன. (Abyssos g12)
He opened the bottomless pit, and from the pit rose a smoke like the smoke of a great furnace. The sun and the air grew dark because of the smoke from the pit. (Abyssos g12)
3 அந்தப் புகையிலிருந்து வெட்டுக்கிளிகள் புறப்பட்டு, பூமியின்மேல் வந்தன. அவைகளுக்கு பூமியிலுள்ள தேள்களுக்குரிய வல்லமையைப் போன்ற, ஒரு வல்லமை கொடுக்கப்பட்டது.
Out of the smoke locusts descended on the earth, and they received the same power as that possessed by scorpions.
4 பூமியிலுள்ள புல்லையோ, செடியையோ, மரத்தையோ சேதப்படுத்த வேண்டாமென்று, அவைகளுக்குச் சொல்லப்பட்டது. தங்களுடைய நெற்றிகளில் இறைவனுடைய முத்திரையைப் பெற்றிராத மனிதர்களை மாத்திரமே சேதப்படுத்தும்படி, அவைகளுக்குச் சொல்லப்பட்டது.
They were told not to harm the grass, or any plant, or any tree, but only those who have not the seal of God on their foreheads.
5 அந்த மனிதர்களைக் கொல்வதற்கான வல்லமை அவற்றிற்குக் கொடுக்கப்படவில்லை. அவர்களை ஐந்து மாதங்களுக்கு சித்திரவதை செய்வதற்கு மாத்திரம், அவைகளுக்கு வல்லமை அளிக்கப்பட்டது. அவர்கள் அனுபவித்த அந்த வேதனை, ஒரு தேள் கொட்டும்போது அனுபவிக்கும் வேதனையைப்போல் இருந்தது.
Yet they were not allowed to kill them, but it was ordered that those men should be tortured for five months. Their torture was like the torture caused by a scorpion when it stings a person.
6 அந்நாட்களில் மனிதர்கள் சாவைத் தேடுவார்கள், ஆனால் அவர்கள் அதைக் காணமாட்டார்கள். அவர்கள் சாவதற்கு விரும்புவார்கள், ஆனால் சாவோ அவர்களைவிட்டு ஓடிப்போகும்.
In those days people will seek Death and will not find it; They will long to die, but Death flees from them.
7 அந்த வெட்டுக்கிளிகள் யுத்தத்திற்காக ஆயத்தமாக்கப்பட்ட குதிரைகளைப்போல் காணப்பட்டன. அவை தங்களுடைய தலைகளிலே, தங்க கிரீடங்களைப் போன்ற எதையோ அணிந்திருந்தன. அவைகளுடைய முகங்கள் மனித முகங்களைப்போல் காணப்பட்டன.
In appearance the locusts were like horses equipped for battle. On their heads there were what appeared to be crowns that shone like gold, their faces resembled human faces,
8 அவைகளின் தலைமுடி பெண்களின் தலைமுடியைப்போல் இருந்தது. அவைகளின் பற்கள் சிங்கத்தின் பற்களைப்போல் இருந்தன.
and they had hair like the hair of a woman, their teeth were like lions’ teeth,
9 இரும்பு மார்புக் கவசங்களைப் போன்ற மார்புக்கவசங்கள் அவைகளுக்கு இருந்தன. அவைகளின் சிறகுகளின் இரைச்சல், அநேகம் குதிரைகளும், தேர்களும் யுத்தத்திற்கு விரைந்து செல்லும்போது, ஏற்படும் இரைச்சலைப்போல் இருந்தது.
and they had what seemed to be iron breastplates, while the noise of their wings was like the noise of chariots drawn by many horses, galloping into battle.
10 தேள்களுக்கு இருப்பதுபோல் அவைகளுக்கும் வால்களும், கொடுக்குகளும் இருந்தன. அவைகளின் வால்களிலே மனிதர்களை ஐந்து மாதங்களுக்கு துன்புறுத்தக்கூடிய வல்லமை இருந்தது.
They have tails like scorpions, and stings, and in their tails lies their power to harm people for five months.
11 பாதாளக்குழியின் தூதனே, அவைகளின்மேல் அரசனாயிருந்தான். அவனுடைய பெயர், எபிரெய மொழியிலே அபெத்தோன் என்றும், கிரேக்க மொழியில் அப்பொல்லியோன் என்றும் சொல்லப்பட்டது. (Abyssos g12)
They have as their king the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name, in Hebrew, is ‘Abaddon,’ while, in Greek, his name is ‘Apollyon’ (the Destroyer). (Abyssos g12)
12 முதலாவது பயங்கரம் கடந்துபோயிற்று; இன்னும் இரண்டு பயங்கரங்கள் வரவிருந்தன.
The first Woe has passed; and still there are two Woes to follow!
13 ஆறாவது இறைத்தூதன் தனது எக்காளத்தை ஊதினான். அப்பொழுது இறைவனுக்கு முன்பாக இருந்த தங்கப் பலிபீடத்தின் கொம்புகளிலிருந்து வந்த, ஒரு குரலைக் கேட்டேன்.
Then the sixth angel blew; and I heard a voice proceeding from the corners of the golden altar that stood before God.
14 அது எக்காளத்தை வைத்திருந்த ஆறாவது தூதனிடம், “ஐபிராத்து என்ற பெரிய நதியருகே கட்டி வைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிற, நான்கு தூதர்களையும் அவிழ்த்துவிடு” என்று சொன்னது.
It spoke to the sixth angel – the angel with the trumpet – and said ‘Let loose the four angels that are in chains at the great river Euphrates.’
15 அப்பொழுது மனிதரில் மூன்றில் ஒரு பங்கினரைக் கொல்லும்படி, அந்த நான்கு தூதர்களும் அவிழ்த்துவிடப்பட்டார்கள். அவர்கள் இந்த வேளைக்கென்றும், இந்த நாளுக்கென்றும், இந்த மாதத்திற்கென்றும், இந்த ஆண்டுக்கென்றும், ஏற்கெனவே தயார் நிலையில் வைக்கப்பட்டிருந்தார்கள்.
Then the four angels, that were held in readiness for that hour and day and month and year, were let loose, to destroy a third of mankind.
16 அவர்கள் இருபது கோடியாயிருந்த குதிரைவீரர்களின் படையை வழிநடத்தினார்கள். அவைகளின் எண்ணிக்கை சொல்லப்படுவதை நான் கேட்டேன்.
The number of the hosts of cavalry was ten thousand times ten thousand, twice told; I heard their number.
17 நான் என்னுடைய தரிசனத்தில் குதிரைவீரர்களையும் குதிரைகளையும் இவ்வாறு கண்டேன்: அவர்களுடைய மார்புக்கவசங்கள் நெருப்பு நிறமாகவும், கருநீலமாகவும், கந்தகத்தைப் போன்ற மஞ்சள் நிறமாகவும் இருந்தன. அந்தக் குதிரைகளின் தலைகளோ, சிங்கங்களின் தலைகளைப்போல் காணப்பட்டன. அவைகளின் வாய்களிலிருந்து நெருப்பும், புகையும், கந்தகமும் வெளிவந்தன.
And this is what the horses and their riders appeared to be like in my vision: They had breastplates of fire, blood-red and sulphurous, and the heads of the horses were like lions’ heads, while out of their mouths issue fire, and smoke, and sulfur.
18 அவைகளின் வாய்களிலிருந்து வந்த நெருப்பு, புகை, கந்தகம் ஆகிய மூன்று வாதைகளினாலும், மனிதரில் மூன்றில் ஒரு பங்கினர் கொல்லப்பட்டார்கள்.
Through these three curses a third of humanity perished – because of the fire, and the smoke, and the sulfur that issued from their mouths;
19 அந்தக் குதிரைகளின் வல்லமை, அவைகளின் வாய்களிலும், அவைகளின் வால்களிலும் இருந்தது. அவைகளின் வால்களோ பாம்புகளைப்போல் இருந்தன, அவைகள் தங்கள் தலைகளால் காயத்தை ஏற்படுத்தின.
for the power of the horses lies in their mouths and in their tails. For their tails are like snakes, with heads, and it is with them that they do harm.
20 இந்த வாதைகளினால் கொல்லப்படாமல் மீதியாயிருந்தவர்களோ, தங்கள் செயல்களைவிட்டு இன்னும் மனந்திரும்பாமலேயே இருந்தார்கள்: அவர்கள் பிசாசுகளையும், தங்கம், வெள்ளி, வெண்கலம், கற்கள், மரத்தால் செய்யப்பட்ட மற்றும் பார்க்கவோ, கேட்கவோ, நடக்கவோ முடியாதவைகளை வணங்குவதையும் நிறுத்தவில்லை.
But those who were left of humanity, who had not perished through these curses, did not repent and turn away from what their own hands had made; they would not abandon the worship of demons, and of idols made of gold or silver or brass or stone or wood, which can neither see, nor hear, nor walk;
21 அவர்கள் தங்களுடைய கொலைகளையோ, மந்திர வித்தைகளையோ, பாலியல் முறைகேடுகளையோ, களவுகளையோ, மற்ற எவைகளையும் விட்டு மனந்திரும்பவில்லை.
and they did not repent of their murders, or their sorceries, or their licentiousness, or their thefts.
