சங்கீதம் 85

1 பாடகர் குழுத் தலைவனுக்கு ஒப்புவிக்கப்பட்ட கோராகின் மகன்களின் சங்கீதம். யெகோவாவே, நீர் உமது நாட்டுக்குத் தயவு காட்டினீர்; யாக்கோபின் மக்கள் இழந்த நல்ல நிலையை அவர்களுக்குத் திரும்பக் கொடுத்தீர்.

Jehovah, thou have been favorable to thy land. Thou have brought back the captivity of Jacob.

2 நீர் உமது மக்களின் அநியாயத்தை மன்னித்து, அவர்களுடைய பாவங்களையெல்லாம் மூடிவிட்டீர்.

Thou have forgiven the iniquity of thy people. Thou have covered all their sin. (Selah)

3 நீர் உமது கடுங்கோபத்தையெல்லாம் விலக்கிவிட்டு, உமது பெருங்கோபத்திலிருந்தும் திரும்பினீர்.

Thou have taken away all thy wrath. Thou have turned from the fierceness of thine anger.

4 எங்கள் இரட்சகராகிய இறைவனே, மறுபடியும் எங்களைப் புதுப்பியும்; எங்கள் மேலுள்ள உமது கோபத்தை அகற்றும்.

Turn us, O God of our salvation, and cause thine indignation toward us to cease.

5 நீர் எங்களுடன் என்றென்றும் கோபமாய் இருப்பீரோ? உமது கோபத்தைத் தலைமுறைகள்தோறும் நீடிக்கச் செய்வீரோ?

Will thou be angry with us forever? Will thou draw out thine anger to all generations?

6 உமது மக்கள் உம்மில் மகிழ்ந்திருக்கும்படி நீர் எங்களை மீண்டும் உயிர்ப்பிக்கமாட்டீரோ?

Will thou not revive us again, that thy people may rejoice in thee?

7 யெகோவாவே, உமது உடன்படிக்கையின் அன்பை எங்களுக்குக் காண்பித்து, உமது இரட்சிப்பை எங்களுக்குத் தாரும்.

Show us thy loving kindness, O Jehovah, and grant us thy salvation.

8 யெகோவாவாகிய இறைவன் சொல்வதை நான் கேட்பேன்; அவர் தமது மக்களுக்கும் தமது பரிசுத்தவான்களுக்கும் சமாதானத்தை வாக்குப் பண்ணுகிறார்; ஆனால் அவர்கள் மதியீனத்துக்குத் திரும்பாதிருக்கட்டும்.

I will hear what God, Jehovah, will speak, for he will speak peace to his people, and to his sanctified. But let them not turn again to folly.

9 அவருக்குப் பயந்து நடப்பவர்களுக்கு, அவருடைய இரட்சிப்பு நிச்சயமாகவே சமீபமாய் இருப்பதால், அவருடைய மகிமையும் நமது நாட்டில் தங்கியிருக்கும்.

Surely his salvation is near those who fear him, that glory may dwell in our land.

10 அன்பும் உண்மையும் ஒன்றாய்ச் சந்திக்கின்றன; நீதியும் சமாதானமும் ஒன்றையொன்று முத்தம் செய்கின்றன.

Mercy and truth are met together. Righteousness and peace have kissed each other.

11 உண்மை பூமியிலிருந்து முளைத்தெழும்புகிறது, நீதி வானத்திலிருந்து கீழே பார்க்கிறது.

Truth springs out of the earth, and righteousness has looked down from heaven.

12 யெகோவா உண்மையாகவே நன்மையானதைத் தருவார்; நம்முடைய நாடும் அதின் விளைச்சலைக் கொடுக்கும்.

Yea, Jehovah will give that which is good, and our land shall yield its increase.

13 நீதி அவருக்கு முன்சென்று, அவருடைய காலடிகளுக்காக வழியை ஆயத்தப்படுத்துகிறது.

Righteousness shall go before him, and shall make his footsteps a path.
