சங்கீதம் 83
1 ஆசாபின் பாட்டாகிய சங்கீதம். இறைவனே, மவுனமாய் இருக்கவேண்டாம்; செவிகொடாமல் இருக்கவேண்டாம்; இறைவனே, அமைதியாய் இருக்கவேண்டாம்.
“A song or psalm of Assaph.” O God, take no rest for thyself: be not silent and keep not still, O God!
2 பாரும், உமது பகைவர் எவ்வளவாய் கொந்தளித்திருக்கிறார்கள்; உமது எதிரிகள் எவ்வளவாய்த் தங்கள் தலையை உயர்த்துகிறார்கள்.
For, lo, thy enemies make a tumult, and they that hate thee have lifted up their head.
3 அவர்கள் உமது மக்களுக்கு விரோதமாகத் தந்திரமாய் சூழ்ச்சி செய்கிறார்கள்; நீர் காக்கிறவர்களுக்கு விரோதமாய் சதித்திட்டம் தீட்டுகிறார்கள்.
Against thy people they take crafty secret device, and they consult against those whom thou protectest.
4 “அவர்கள், வாருங்கள், ஒரு நாடாக அவர்கள் இல்லாதவாறு அழிப்போம்; இஸ்ரயேலின் பெயரை இனி எவரும் நினைக்காதவாறு செய்திடுவோம்” என்று சொல்கிறார்கள்.
They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; and the name of Israel shall be remembered no more.
5 அவர்கள் ஒரே மனதுடன் ஒன்றிணைந்து சதித்திட்டம் தீட்டுகிறார்கள்; அவர்கள் உமக்கு விரோதமாக தங்களிடையே ஒரு நட்புடன்படிக்கை ஏற்படுத்துகிறார்கள்.
For they have consulted cordially together; against thee they make a covenant:
6 அந்த உடன்படிக்கையிலே ஏதோமின் கூடாரத்தாரும், இஸ்மயேலர், மோவாபியர், ஆகாரியர்,
The tents of Edom, and the Ishmaelites: Moab, and the Hagarenes;
7 கேபாலர், அம்மோனியர், அமலேக்கியர், பெலிஸ்தியர் ஆகியோரும், தீருவின் மக்களும் இணைந்திருக்கிறார்கள்.
Gebal, and 'Ammon, and 'Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre;
8 லோத்தின் சந்ததியினருக்குப் பக்கபலமாய் இருக்க அசீரியாவும் அவர்களோடு சேர்ந்துகொண்டது.
Also Asshur is joined with them; they have become an arm unto the children of Lot. (Selah)
9 இறைவனே, நீர் மீதியானியருக்குச் செய்தது போலவும், கீசோன் நதியருகே சிசெராவுக்கும் யாபீனுக்கும் செய்தது போலவும் அவர்களுக்கும் செய்யும்.
Do unto them as [unto] Midian; as to Sissera, as to Jabin, at the brook Kishon:
10 அவர்கள் எந்தோரில் அழிந்து நிலத்தின் குப்பைபோல் ஆனார்களே.
Who were annihilated at 'En-dor; they became as dung for the ground.
11 அவர்களுடைய தலைவர்களை ஓரேபையும், சேபையும் போலாக்கும். அவர்களுடைய இளவரசர்கள் எல்லோரையும் சேபாவையும், சல்முனாவையும் போலாக்கும்.
Render them, their nobles, like 'Oreb, and like Zeeb; yea, like Zebach and like Zalmunna' all their princes;
12 “அவர்கள் இறைவனின் மேய்ச்சல் நிலங்களை எங்கள் உடைமையாக்குவோம்” என்று சொன்னார்களே.
Who said, Let us conquer for ourselves the dwellings of God,
13 என் இறைவனே, அவர்களைக் காய்ந்த சருகைப் போலவும், காற்றில் பறக்கும் பதரைப்போலவும் ஆக்கும்.
O my God, render them like the thistle-down, like stubble before the wind.
14 காட்டை நெருப்பு எரித்து அழிப்பது போலவும், நெருப்புச் சுவாலை மலைகள் முழுவதையும் கொழுந்துவிட்டெரியச் செய்வதுபோலவும்,
As the fire burneth up a forest, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire:
15 அவர்களை உமது புயலினால் பின்தொடர்ந்து துரத்தும்; உமது சூறாவளியினால் திகிலடையச் செய்யும்.
So pursue them with thy storm, and with thy whirlwind do thou terrify them.
16 யெகோவாவே, மனிதர்கள் உமது பெயரைத் தேடும்படி, அவர்களுடைய முகங்களை வெட்கத்தால் மூடும்.
Fill their faces with shame, that they may seek thy name, O Lord!
17 அவர்கள் எப்பொழுதும் வெட்கமடைந்து, மனம்சோர்ந்து போவார்களாக; அவர்கள் அவமானத்தால் அழிவார்களாக.
Let them be made ashamed and terrified for ever and aye; yea, let them be put to the blush and perish:
18 யெகோவா என்ற பெயருள்ள நீர் ஒருவரே, பூமியெங்கும் மகா உன்னதமானவர் என்பதை அவர்கள் அறிவார்களாக.
That they may know that thou, whose name is the Eternal, art by thyself alone, the Most High over all the earth.
