சங்கீதம் 80

1 “உடன்படிக்கையின் லீலிமலர்” என்ற இசையில் பாடி பாடகர் குழுத் தலைவனுக்கு ஒப்புவிக்கப்பட்ட ஆசாபின் சங்கீதம். இஸ்ரயேலின் மேய்ப்பரே, யோசேப்பை மந்தைபோல் நடத்திச் செல்கிறவரே, எங்களுக்குச் செவிகொடும். கேருபீன்களுக்கு இடையில் சிங்காசனத்தில் அமர்ந்திருக்கிறவரே,

To the Overseer. — 'On the Lilies.' A testimony of Asaph. — A Psalm. Shepherd of Israel, give ear, Leading Joseph as a flock, Inhabiting the cherubs — shine forth,

2 எப்பிராயீம், பென்யமீன், மனாசே கோத்திரங்களுக்கு முன்பாக பிரகாசியும். உமது வல்லமையை எழச்செய்து, எங்களை இரட்சிக்க வாரும்.

Before Ephraim, and Benjamin, and Manasseh, Wake up Thy might, and come for our salvation.

3 இறைவனே, எங்களை முன்னிருந்த நிலைக்குத் திரும்பக் கொண்டுவாரும்; உமது முகத்தை எங்கள்மேல் பிரகாசிக்கச் செய்யும். அப்பொழுது இரட்சிக்கப்படுவோம்.

O God, cause us to turn back, And cause Thy face to shine, and we are saved.

4 சேனைகளின் இறைவனாகிய யெகோவாவே, உமது மக்கள் மன்றாடும்போது எவ்வளவு காலத்திற்கு கோபங்கொண்டிருப்பீர்?

Jehovah, God of Hosts, till when? Thou hast burned against the prayer of Thy people.

5 நீர் அவர்களுக்குக் கண்ணீரை உணவாகக் கொடுத்தீர்; நீர் அவர்களை நிறைய கண்ணீரைப் பருகும்படிச் செய்தீர்.

Thou hast caused them to eat bread of tears, And causest them to drink With tears a third time.

6 நீர் எங்களை அயலாருக்கிடையே கேலிப் பொருளாக்கினீர்; எங்கள் பகைவர் எங்களை ஏளனம் செய்யவிட்டீர்.

Thou makest us a strife to our neighbours, And our enemies mock at it.

7 சேனைகளின் இறைவனே, எங்களை முன்னிருந்த நிலைக்குத் திரும்பக் கொண்டுவாரும்; நாங்கள் இரட்சிக்கப்படும்படி உமது முகத்தை எங்கள்மேல் பிரகாசிக்கச் செய்யும்.

God of Hosts, turn us back, And cause Thy face to shine, and we are saved.

8 நீர் எகிப்திலிருந்து ஒரு திராட்சைக் கொடியைக் கொண்டுவந்தீர்; பிற நாட்டு மக்களைத் துரத்திவிட்டு அதை நாட்டினீர்.

A vine out of Egypt Thou dost bring, Thou dost cast out nations, and plantest it.

9 நீர் அந்த திராட்சைக் கொடிக்காக நிலத்தைச் சுத்தப்படுத்தினீர்; அது வேர்விட்டு நாடெங்கும் படர்ந்தது.

Thou hast looked before it, and dost root it, And it filleth the land,

10 அதின் நிழலால் மலைகள் மூடப்பட்டன; அதின் கிளைகளால் வலிமையான கேதுரு மரங்களும் மூடப்பட்டன.

Covered have been hills [with] its shadow, And its boughs [are] cedars of God.

11 அது தன் கிளைகளை மத்திய தரைக்கடல் வரைக்கும், தன் தளிர்களை நதி வரைக்கும் பரப்பியது.

It sendeth forth its branches unto the sea, And unto the river its sucklings.

12 நீர் ஏன் அதின் மதில்களைத் தகர்த்துப்போட்டீர்? அதைக் கடந்துபோகிற எல்லாருமே இப்போது அதின் பழங்களைப் பறிக்கிறார்களே.

Why hast Thou broken down its hedges, And all passing by the way have plucked it?

13 காட்டுப் பன்றிகள் அதை அழிக்கின்றன; வயல்வெளியின் உயிரினங்கள் அதில் மேய்கின்றன.

A boar out of the forest doth waste it, And a wild beast of the fields consumeth it.

14 சேனைகளின் இறைவனே, எங்களிடம் திரும்பி வாரும், பரலோகத்திலிருந்து கீழே நோக்கிப்பாரும், இந்தத் திராட்சைக் கொடியைக் கவனியும்,

God of Hosts, turn back, we beseech Thee, Look from heaven, and see, and inspect this vine,

15 உமது வலதுகரம் நாட்டிய வேரையும், உமக்காகவே நீர் வளர்த்தெடுத்த உமது மகனையும் காத்துக்கொள்ளும்.

And the root that Thy right hand planted, And the branch Thou madest strong for Thee,

16 உமது திராட்சைக்கொடி வெட்டப்பட்டு, நெருப்பினால் எரிக்கப்பட்டது; உமது முகத்தின் கண்டிப்பான பார்வையினால் உமது மக்கள் அழிகிறார்கள்.

Burnt with fire — cut down, From the rebuke of Thy face they perish.

17 உமது கரத்தை உமது வலதுபக்கத்திலுள்ள மனிதன்மேல், உமக்காகவே நீர் வளர்த்தெடுத்த மானிடமகன்மேல் அமரச்செய்யும்.

Let Thy hand be on the man of Thy right hand, On the son of man Thou hast strengthened for Thyself.

18 அப்பொழுது நாங்கள் உம்மைவிட்டு விலகமாட்டோம்; எங்களை உயிர்ப்பியும், நாங்கள் உமது பெயரைச் சொல்லி வழிபடுவோம்.

And we do not go back from Thee, Thou dost revive us, and in Thy name we call.

19 சேனைகளின் இறைவனாகிய யெகோவாவே, எங்களை முன்னிருந்த நிலைக்குத் திரும்பக் கொண்டுவாரும்; நாங்கள் இரட்சிக்கப்படும்படி உமது முகத்தை எங்கள்மேல் பிரகாசிக்கச் செய்யும்.

O Jehovah, God of Hosts, turn us back, Cause Thy face to shine, and we are saved!
