சங்கீதம் 74
1 மஸ்கீல் என்னும் ஆசாபின் சங்கீதம். இறைவனே, நீர் எங்களை என்றென்றைக்கும் ஏன் புறக்கணித்துவிட்டீர்? உமது கோபம் உமது மேய்ச்சல் நிலத்தின் செம்மறியாடுகளுக்கு விரோதமாக ஏன் புகைகிறது?
O God, why have thou cast off forever? Why does thine anger smoke against the sheep of thy pasture?
2 நீர் பூர்வகாலத்தில் சம்பாதித்துக்கொண்ட உமது மக்களையும், நீர் மீட்டுக்கொண்ட உமது உரிமைச்சொத்தான கோத்திரத்தையும் நினைவிற்கொள்ளும்; உமது தங்குமிடமான சீயோன் மலையையும் நினைவிற்கொள்ளும்.
Remember thy congregation, which thou have gotten of old, which thou have redeemed to be the tribe of thine inheritance, and mount Zion, at which thou have dwelt.
3 என்றென்றும் பாழாய்க்கிடக்கும் இடங்களைப் பாரும்; எதிரி பரிசுத்த இடத்திற்குள் அனைத்தையும் பாழாக்கிவிட்டான்.
Lift up thy feet to the perpetual ruins, all the evil that the enemy has done in the sanctuary.
4 நீர் எங்களைச் சந்தித்த இடத்திலே, உமது எதிரிகள் கர்ஜித்தார்கள்; அவர்கள் தங்கள் கொடிகளை அடையாளங்களாக நாட்டினார்கள்.
Thine adversaries have roared in the midst of thine assembly. They have set up their ensigns for signs.
5 அடர்ந்த காட்டில் மரங்களை வெட்டுவதற்கு கோடாரிகளைக் கையாளும் மனிதரைப்போல் அவர்கள் நடந்துகொண்டார்கள்.
They seemed as men who lifted up axes upon a thicket of trees.
6 அவர்கள் தங்கள் கோடாரிகளாலும், கைக்கோடரிகளாலும் சித்திரவேலைகள் எல்லாவற்றையும் அழித்தார்கள்.
And now they break down all the carved work of it with hatchet and hammers.
7 அவர்கள் உமது பரிசுத்த இடத்தை எரித்துத் தரைமட்டமாக்கினார்கள்; அவர்கள் உமது பெயருக்குரிய தங்குமிடத்தை அசுத்தமாக்கினார்கள்.
They have set thy sanctuary on fire. They have profaned the dwelling-place of thy name to the ground.
8 அவர்கள் தங்கள் இருதயங்களில், “நாங்கள் அவர்களை அடியோடு அழித்துவிடுவோம்!” என்றார்கள்; நாட்டில் இறைவனை வழிபட்ட எல்லா இடங்களையும் அவர்கள் எரித்துப்போட்டார்கள்.
They said in their heart, Let us make havoc of them altogether. They have burned up all the meeting-places of God in the land.
9 எங்களுக்கு நீர் செய்த அற்புத அடையாளங்கள் எதையும் நாங்கள் காணவில்லை; இறைவாக்கினரும் இல்லை; இது எவ்வளவு காலம் நீடிக்கும் என்பதும் எங்களில் யாருக்கும் தெரியாது.
We do not see our signs. There is no more any prophet, nor is there among us he who knows how long.
10 இறைவனே, பகைவன் எவ்வளவு காலத்துக்கு உம்மை நிந்திப்பான்? எதிரி உமது பெயரை என்றென்றும் உதறித் தள்ளிவிடுவானோ?
How long, O God, shall the adversary reproach? Shall the enemy blaspheme thy name forever?
11 நீர் ஏன் உமது கரத்தை, உமது வலது கரத்தை மடக்கிக் கொள்கிறீர்? மறைந்திருக்கும் உமது கையை நீட்டி அவர்களை அழித்துப்போடும்.
Why do thou draw back thy hand, even thy right hand? Remove it from the midst of thy bosom.
12 ஆனால் பூர்வகாலத்திலிருந்து இறைவனே நீரே என் அரசர்; அவர் பூமியின்மேல் இரட்சிப்பைச் செய்துவருகிறார்.
Yet God is my King of old, working salvation in the midst of the earth.
13 உமது வல்லமையினால் கடலை இரண்டாகப் பிளந்தவர் நீரே; நீரே கடலிலுள்ள இராட்சத விலங்கின் தலைகளையும் உடைத்தீர்.
Thou divided the sea by thy strength. Thou break the heads of the sea-monsters in the waters.
14 லிவியாதான் தலைகளை நசுக்கி, அதைப் பாலைவனப் பிராணிகளுக்கு உணவாகக் கொடுத்தவரும் நீரே.
Thou break the heads of leviathan in pieces. Thou gave him to be food to the people inhabiting the wilderness.
15 ஊற்றுகளையும் நீரோடைகளையும் திறந்தவர் நீரே; எப்பொழுதும் நிரம்பி வழிந்தோடும் ஆறுகளை வற்றப் பண்ணினவரும் நீரே.
Thou split fountain and flood. Thou dried up mighty rivers.
16 பகல் உம்முடையது, இரவும் உம்முடையதே; சூரியனையும் சந்திரனையும் நிலைப்படுத்தியவர் நீரே.
The day is thine; the night is also thine. Thou have prepared the light and the sun.
17 பூமியின் சகல எல்லைகளையும் அமைத்தவர் நீரே; நீரே கோடைகாலத்தையும் மாரிகாலத்தையும் ஏற்படுத்தினீர்.
Thou have set all the borders of the earth. Thou have made summer and winter.
18 யெகோவாவே, பகைவன் எவ்வளவாய் உம்மை ஏளனம் செய்தான் என்பதையும், மூடர்கள் உமது பெயரை எப்படி நிந்தித்தார்கள் என்பதையும் நினைவிற்கொள்ளும்.
Remember this, that the enemy has reproached, O Jehovah, and that a foolish people has blasphemed thy name.
19 உமது புறாவின் உயிரை காட்டு மிருகங்களுக்கு ஒப்புக்கொடாதிரும்; துன்புறுத்தப்பட்ட உமது மக்களின் வாழ்வை என்றென்றும் மறவாதிரும்.
O deliver not the soul of thy turtle-dove to the wild beast. Forget not the life of thy poor forever.
20 உமது உடன்படிக்கையை நினைவிற்கொள்ளும்; ஏனெனில் வன்முறையின் இருப்பிடங்கள் நாட்டின் இருண்ட பகுதிகளை நிரப்புகின்றன.
Have respect to the covenant, for the dark places of the earth are full of the habitations of violence.
21 ஒடுக்கப்பட்டவர்கள் அவமானத்துடன் பின்னடைய விடாதிரும்; ஏழைகளும் எளியவர்களும் உமது பெயரைத் துதிப்பார்களாக.
O let not he who is oppressed return ashamed. Let a poor and needy man praise thy name.
22 இறைவனே, எழுந்தருளும்; உமது சார்பாக நீரே வாதாடும்; நாள்தோறும் மூடர்கள் உம்மை எவ்வளவாய் நிந்திக்கிறார்கள் என்பதை நினைவிற்கொள்ளும்.
Arise, O God, plead thine own cause. Remember how the foolish man reproaches thee all the day.
23 உமது விரோதிகளின் கூக்குரலையும், தொடர்ந்தெழும் உமது பகைவரின் ஆரவாரத்தையும் அசட்டை பண்ணாதிரும்.
Forget not the voice of thine adversaries. The tumult of those who rise up against thee ascends continually.
