சங்கீதம் 64

1 பாடகர் குழுத் தலைவனுக்கு ஒப்புவிக்கப்பட்ட தாவீதின் சங்கீதம். இறைவனே, நான் முறையிடும் என் குரலுக்குச் செவிகொடும்; பகைவனின் பயமுறுத்தலிலிருந்து என் உயிரைப் பாதுகாத்துக்கொள்ளும்.

Unto the end, a psalm for David. Hear, O God, my prayer, when I make supplication to thee: deliver my soul from the fear of the enemy.

2 கொடியவர்களின் சதியிலிருந்தும், ஆரவாரிக்கும் தீயவர்களின் கூட்டத்திலிருந்தும் என்னை மறைத்துக்கொள்ளும்.

Thou hast protected me from the assembly of the malignant; from the multitude of the workers of iniquity.

3 அவர்கள் தங்களுடைய நாவுகளை வாள்களைப்போல் கூராக்குகிறார்கள்; தங்கள் சொற்களைப் பயங்கரமான அம்புகளைப்போல் எய்கிறார்கள்.

For they have whetted their tongues like a sword; they have bent their bow a bitter thing,

4 அவர்கள் மறைவிலிருந்து குற்றமற்றவன்மேல் எய்கிறார்கள்; அவர்கள் பயமின்றி திடீரென அவன்மேல் எய்கிறார்கள்.

To shoot in secret the undefiled.

5 தீமையான திட்டமிடுவதில் அவர்கள் ஒருவரையொருவர் உற்சாகப்படுத்துகிறார்கள்; தங்கள் கண்ணிகளை மறைத்து வைப்பதுபற்றி பேசிக்கொள்கிறார்கள்; “நாம் என்ன செய்கிறோம் என்பதை யார் காணுவார்கள்?” என்கிறார்கள்.

They will shoot at him on a sudden, and will not fear: they are resolute in wickedness. They have talked of hiding snares; they have said: Who shall see them?

6 அவர்கள் அநீதி செய்ய சதிசெய்து, “நாங்கள் ஒரு சிறந்த திட்டத்தை வகுத்துள்ளோம்!” என்கிறார்கள். நிச்சயமாகவே மனிதனின் மனமும் இருதயமும் ஆழமானவை.

They have searched after iniquities: they have failed in their search. Man shall come to a deep heart:

7 ஆனால் இறைவன் அவர்களை அம்புகளால் எய்து தாக்குவார்; உடனே அவர்கள் அடித்து வீழ்த்தப்படுவார்கள்.

And God shall be exalted. The arrows of children are their wounds:

8 இறைவன் அவர்களுடைய நாவுகளையே அவர்களுக்கெதிராக திரும்பப்பண்ணி, அவர்களை அழிவுக்குள்ளாக்குவார்; அவர்களைப் பார்ப்போர் அனைவரும் தங்கள் தலைகளை அசைத்துக் கேலி செய்வார்கள்.

And their tongues against them are made weak. All that saw them were troubled;

9 எல்லா மனிதரும் பயப்படுவார்கள்; இறைவனின் செயல்களை அவர்கள் அறிவித்து, அவர் செய்தவற்றைப்பற்றி சிந்திப்பார்கள்.

And every man was afraid. And they declared the works of God: and understood his doings.

10 நீதிமான்கள் யெகோவாவிடம் மகிழ்ந்து, அவரிடத்தில் தஞ்சம் அடைவார்கள்; இருதயத்தில் நீதியுள்ளோர் அனைவரும் அவரைப் புகழ்வார்கள்!

The just shall rejoice in the Lord, and shall hope in him: and all the upright in heart shall be praised.
