சங்கீதம் 57
1 தாவீது சவுலிடமிருந்து தப்பிக் குகைக்குள் ஒளிந்துகொண்டிருந்தபோது, “அழிக்காதே” என்ற இசையில் பாடி பாடகர் குழுத் தலைவனுக்கு ஒப்புவிக்கப்பட்ட மிக்தாம் என்னும் தாவீதின் சங்கீதம். என்மேல் இரக்கமாயிரும், இறைவனே, என்மேல் இரக்கமாயிரும், என் ஆத்துமா உம்மிடத்தில் தஞ்சம் அடைகிறது. பேரழிவு கடந்து செல்லுமளவும், நான் உமது சிறகுகளின் நிழலில் புகலிடம் கொள்வேன்.
To the chief Musician, Al-taschith, Michtam of David, when he fled from Saul in the cave. Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me: for my soul trusteth in thee: yes, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until [these] calamities are overpast.
2 எனக்காக யாவையும் செய்து முடிக்கும், மகா உன்னதமானவரான இறைவனை நோக்கி நான் கூப்பிடுவேன்.
I will cry to God most high; to God that performeth [all things] for me.
3 அவர் பரலோகத்திலிருந்து உதவி அனுப்பி என்னைக் காப்பாற்றுவார், என்னைத் தாக்குகிறவர்களைக் கடிந்துகொள்வார்; இறைவன் தமது உடன்படிக்கையின் அன்பையும் உண்மையையும் அனுப்புவார்.
He shall send from heaven, and save me [from] the reproach of him that would swallow me up. (Selah) God shall send forth his mercy and his truth.
4 நான் சிங்கங்களின் நடுவில் இருக்கிறேன்; என்னை எதிர்க்கும் மனுமக்களின் மத்தியில் இருக்கிறேன்; அவர்களுடைய பற்கள் ஈட்டிகளும் அம்புகளுமாய் இருக்கிறது; அவர்களின் நாவுகளோ கூர்மையான வாள்கள்.
My soul [is] among lions: [and] I lie [even among] them that are set on fire, [even] the sons of men, whose teeth [are] spears and arrows, and their tongue a sharp sword.
5 இறைவனே, வானங்களுக்கு மேலாகப் புகழ்ந்து உயர்த்தப்படுவீராக; உமது மகிமை பூமியெங்கும் இருப்பதாக.
Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; [let] thy glory [be] above all the earth.
6 என் கால்களுக்கு அவர்கள் வலையை விரித்தார்கள்; துயரத்தினால் நான் சோர்ந்து போனேன். அவர்கள் என் பாதையில் ஒரு குழியைத் தோண்டினார்கள்; அதற்குள் அவர்களே விழுந்து போனார்கள்.
They have prepared a net for my steps; my soul is bowed down: they have digged a pit before me, into the midst of which they have fallen [themselves]. (Selah)
7 என் இருதயம் உறுதியாயிருக்கிறது, இறைவனே, என் இருதயம் உறுதியாயிருக்கிறது; நான் இசையமைத்துப் பாடுவேன்.
My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise.
8 என் ஆத்துமாவே, விழித்தெழும்பு! யாழே, வீணையே, விழித்தெழுங்கள்! நான் அதிகாலையில் விழித்தெழுவேன்.
Awake, my glory; awake, psaltery and harp: I [myself] will awake early.
9 ஆண்டவரே, நாடுகள் மத்தியில் நான் உம்மைத் துதிப்பேன்; மக்கள் மத்தியில் நான் உம்மைப் பாடுவேன்.
I will praise thee, O LORD, among the people: I will sing to thee among the nations.
10 ஏனெனில் உமது உடன்படிக்கையின் அன்பு பெரியது, அது வானங்களை எட்டுகிறது; உமது சத்தியம் ஆகாயங்களை எட்டுகிறது.
For thy mercy [is] great to the heavens, and thy truth to the clouds.
11 இறைவனே, வானங்களுக்கு மேலாகப் புகழ்ந்து உயர்த்தப்படுவீராக; உமது மகிமை பூமியெங்கும் இருப்பதாக.
Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: [let] thy glory [be] above all the earth.
