சங்கீதம் 54

1 தாவீது தங்களிடம் ஒளிந்திருக்கிறான் என்று சீப்பூரார் சவுலுக்கு சொன்னபோது, கம்பியிசைக் கருவிகளுடன் தாவீது பாடி பாடகர் குழுத் தலைவனுக்கு ஒப்புவிக்கப்பட்ட மஸ்கீல் என்னும் சங்கீதம். இறைவனே, உமது பெயரால் என்னைக் காப்பாற்றும், உமது வல்லமையால் எனக்கு நியாயம் செய்யும்.

“To the chief musician on Neginoth, a Maskil of David, When the Ziphim came and said to Saul, Behold, David is hiding himself with us.” O God, by thy name save me, and by thy strength grant me justice.

2 இறைவனே, என் மன்றாட்டைக் கேளும்; என் வாயின் வார்த்தைகளுக்குச் செவிகொடும்.

O God, hear my prayer; give ear to the words of my mouth.

3 தற்பெருமையுள்ளவர்கள் என்னைத் தாக்குகிறார்கள்; இறைவனை மதியாத, ஈவு இரக்கமற்ற மனிதர் என் உயிரை வாங்கத் தேடுகிறார்கள்.

For strangers [to goodness] are risen up against me, and powerful oppressors seek after my soul: they have not set God before them. (Selah)

4 நிச்சயமாக இறைவனே எனக்கு உதவுபவர்; யெகோவாவே என்னை ஆதரிக்கிறவர்.

Behold, God is a helper unto me: the Lord is among those that uphold my soul.

5 எனக்குத் தீமை செய்கிறவர்கள் மேலேயே அவர்களுடைய தீமை திரும்பட்டும்; உமது உண்மையின் நிமித்தம் அவர்களை தண்டித்துவிடும்.

He will cause the evil to return upon those that regard me with envy: in thy truth cut them off.

6 நான் உமக்கு சுயவிருப்பக் காணிக்கையைப் பலியிடுவேன்; யெகோவாவே, நான் உமது பெயரைத் துதிப்பேன், ஏனெனில் அது நல்லது.

I will liberally sacrifice unto thee: I will give thanks unto thy name, O Lord; for it is good.

7 நீர் என்னை என்னுடைய எல்லாக் கஷ்டங்களிலிருந்தும் விடுவித்தீர்; என் கண்கள் என் எதிரிகளின் வீழ்ச்சியைப் பார்த்தன.

For out of all distress hath he delivered me: and my eye hath seen [its desire] on my enemies.
