சங்கீதம் 49
1 கோராகின் மகன்களிலுள்ள பாடகர் குழுத் தலைவனுக்கு ஒப்புவிக்கப்பட்ட சங்கீதம். மக்களே, நீங்கள் எல்லோரும் இதைக் கேளுங்கள், இந்த உலகத்தில் வாழ்கிறவர்களே,
You people of all ethnic groups, listen! You people all over the world,
2 தாழ்ந்தோரே, உயர்ந்தோரே, செல்வந்தரே, ஏழைகளே, எல்லோரும் ஒருமித்துச் செவிகொடுங்கள்:
important people and unimportant people, rich people and poor people, everyone, [listen to what I am saying],
3 என் வாய் ஞானமுள்ள வார்த்தைகளைப் பேசும்; என் இருதயத்திலிருந்து வரும் தியானம் விளங்கிக்கொள்ளும் ஆற்றலைக் கொடுக்கும்.
[because] what I am thinking is very sensible, and what I say will enable you to become wise!
4 நான் பழமொழிக்கு என் செவியைச் சாய்ப்பேன்; விடுகதையை யாழ் இசைத்து விவரிப்பேன்:
I think about [MTY] (proverbs/wise sayings), and while I play my harp, I explain what they mean.
5 தீங்கு நாட்கள் வரும்போதும், கொடிய ஏமாற்றுக்காருடைய அக்கிரமம் என்னைச் சூழ்ந்துகொள்ளும்போதும் நான் ஏன் பயப்படவேண்டும்?
I am not [RHQ] afraid when I am in trouble/danger, when I am surrounded by my enemies,
6 அவர்கள் தங்கள் செல்வத்தில் நம்பிக்கை வைத்து, தங்கள் மிகுதியான உடைமைகளில் பெருமை பாராட்டுகிறார்கள்.
by evil men who trust that [things will always go well for them because] they are wealthy, and who boast about being very rich.
7 ஒருவனாலும் இன்னொருவனுடைய உயிரை மீட்கமுடியாது; அவனுக்கான மீட்பின் பதிலீட்டை இறைவனுக்குக் கொடுக்கவும் முடியாது.
[They may be rich], but no one can pay money with the result that he would live forever! No one can pay God enough so that God will allow him [to continue] to live,
8 ஏனெனில் உயிருக்கான மீட்பின் பதிலீடு விலையுயர்ந்தது; எந்த விலை கொடுத்தும் மீட்கமுடியாது.
because that cost is too great, and he will never be able to pay enough
9 அவர்கள் அழிவைக் காணாமல் என்றென்றும் வாழும்படி எப்படிப்பட்ட விலையும் கொடுக்க முடியாது.
with the result that he will live forever and never [die and] be buried!
10 ஞானிகள் சாவதையும், மூடரும் புத்தியற்றவர்களும் அழிவதையும் எல்லோராலும் காணமுடியும்; அவர்கள் தங்கள் செல்வத்தை மற்றவர்களுக்கு விட்டுச் செல்வதைக் காணலாம்.
We see that foolish and stupid people die, but we see that wise people also die; they all leave their wealth, and others inherit it.
11 தங்கள் பெயர்களையே அவர்கள் நிலங்களுக்கு வைத்தாலும், அவர்களுடைய கல்லறைகளே என்றென்றைக்கும் அவர்கள் வீடாகவும் முடிவற்ற தலைமுறைகளுக்கு அவர்களுடைய தங்குமிடமாகவும் நிலைத்திருக்கும்.
Those wise people once had [houses on] land that they owned, [but now] their graves are their homes forever, the place where they will stay for all time!
12 ஆனாலும் மக்கள் நன்மதிப்பிலே நிலைத்திருக்கிறதில்லை; அவர்கள் அழிந்துபோகும் மிருகங்களைப்போலவே இருக்கிறார்கள்.
Even if people are great, that cannot prevent them from dying; all people die, the same as animals do.
13 தங்களிலேயே நம்பிக்கை வைக்கிறவர்களின் முடிவு இதுவே; இவர்கள் சொல்வதையெல்லாம் கேட்டுப் பின்பற்றுகிறவர்களின் நிலையும் அதுவே.
That is what happens to those who foolishly trust [in what they have accomplished], to those who are delighted in [all] that they possess.
14 அவர்கள் செம்மறியாடுகளைப்போல சாவுக்கென்றே நியமிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளார்கள்; மரணம் அவர்களின் மேய்ப்பனாயிருக்கும். நீதிமான்கள் காலையில் அவர்களை ஆளுகை செய்வார்கள்; அவர்கள் அரண்மனையில் நிலைத்திராமல், கல்லறை அவர்களுடைய உருவத்தை அழித்துவிடும். (Sheol h7585)
They are certain to die just like sheep, when a shepherd leads them away to be slaughtered. [PRS, MET] In the morning righteous people will rule over them, and then [those wealthy people will die and] their bodies will quickly decay in their graves; they will be where dead people are, far from their homes. (Sheol h7585)
15 ஆனால், இறைவனோ என் உயிரைப் பாதாளத்திலிருந்து மீட்டுக்கொள்வார்; அவர் நிச்சயமாக என்னைத் தம்மிடத்தில் ஏற்றுக்கொள்வார். (Sheol h7585)
But it is certain that God will rescue me so that I am not kept in the place of the dead. (Sheol h7585)
16 பிறர் செல்வந்தர்களாகி, அவர்கள் வீட்டின் செழிப்பு அதிகரிக்கும்போது, திடுக்கிடாதே;
[So], do not be dismayed when someone becomes rich and the houses where they live become more and more luxurious,
17 ஏனெனில் அவர்கள் சாகும்போது, தம்முடன் ஒன்றையும் கொண்டுபோகமாட்டார்கள்; அவர்களுடைய செழிப்பும் அவர்களைப் பின்தொடராது.
because when he dies, he will take nothing with him; his wealth will not go with him.
18 அவர்கள் உயிரோடிருந்தபோது, தங்களை ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்பட்டவர்கள் என்று எண்ணினார்கள். அவர்கள் செழிப்படைந்து இருக்கும்போது மனிதர் அவர்களைப் புகழ்ந்தார்கள்.
While [a rich person] is alive, he congratulates himself, and people praise him for being successful,
19 ஆனால் அவர்கள் தங்களுடைய முன்னோர்களைப் போலவே மரிப்பார்கள்; வாழ்வின் ஒளியை இனி ஒருபோதும் காணமாட்டார்கள்.
but he will [die], joining his ancestors, who will never see daylight again.
20 செல்வந்தராயிருந்தும் அறிவு இல்லாதிருந்தால் அவர்கள் அழிந்துபோகும் மிருகத்தைப் போல் இருக்கிறார்கள்.
Even if someone is great, that cannot prevent him from dying; he will die, the same as animals do.
