சங்கீதம் 48

1 கோராகியரின் சங்கீதப் பாட்டு. யெகோவா மிகவும் பெரியவர், நமது இறைவனுடைய நகரத்தில், அவருடைய பரிசுத்த மலையில் அவர் மிகவும் துதிக்கப்படத்தக்கவர்.

A Song [and] Psalm for the sons of Korah. Great [is] the LORD, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, [in] the mountain of his holiness.

2 சீயோன் மலை தன் கம்பீரத்தில் அழகாய், முழு பூமியின் மகிழ்ச்சியாய் இருக்கிறது, வடதிசையின் மிக உயர்ந்த மேடுகளைப் போல இருக்கிற அது மகா அரசரின் நகரம்.

Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, [is] mount Zion, [on] the sides of the north, the city of the great King.

3 இறைவன் அதின் கோட்டைப் பட்டணங்களில் வீற்றிருந்து, அவர்தாமே அதின் கோட்டை எனக் காண்பிக்கிறார்.

God is known in her palaces for a refuge.

4 அரசர்கள் படைதிரட்டி ஒருமித்து முன்னேறி வந்தபோது,

For lo, the kings were assembled, they passed by together.

5 சீயோன் மலையைக் கண்டு அதிர்ச்சியடைந்து, திகிலடைந்து தப்பி ஓடினார்கள்.

They saw [it], [and] so they wondered; they were troubled, [and] hasted away.

6 அங்கே நடுக்கம் அவர்களைப் பிடித்தது; பிரசவிக்கும் பெண்ணுக்கு உண்டாகுவதைப் போன்ற வேதனை அவர்களைப் பிடித்தது.

Fear took hold upon them there, [and] pain, as of a woman in travail.

7 யெகோவாவே, நீர் கிழக்குக் காற்றினால், தர்ஷீசின் கப்பல்களை உடைக்கிறீர்.

Thou breakest the ships of Tarshish with an east wind.

8 நாம் கேள்விப்பட்டது போலவே, சேனைகளின் இறைவனுடைய பட்டணத்தில், நம்முடைய யெகோவாவின் பட்டணத்தில் நாம் கண்டும் இருக்கிறோம்: இறைவன் அந்தப் பட்டணத்திற்கு என்றென்றைக்கும் பாதுகாப்பு கொடுக்கிறார்.

As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of the LORD of hosts, in the city of our God: God will establish it for ever. (Selah)

9 இறைவனே, உமது உடன்படிக்கையின் அன்பைக்குறித்து, உமது ஆலயத்தில் நாங்கள் தியானிக்கிறோம்.

We have thought of thy loving-kindness, O God, in the midst of thy temple.

10 இறைவனே, உமது பெயரைப் போலவே உமது துதியும் பூமியின் கடைசிவரை எட்டுகிறது; உமது வலதுகரம் நீதியால் நிறைந்திருக்கிறது.

According to thy name, O God, so [is] thy praise to the ends of the earth: thy right hand is full of righteousness.

11 உமது நியாயத்தீர்ப்பின் நிமித்தம் சீயோன் மலை களிகூருகிறது, யூதாவின் கிராமங்கள் மகிழ்கிறது.

Let mount Zion rejoice, let the daughters of Judah be glad, because of thy judgments.

12 சீயோனைச் சுற்றி உலாவுங்கள்; அதின் கோபுரங்களைக் கணக்கிடுங்கள்.

Walk about Zion, and go round her: number her towers.

13 அவற்றைப்பற்றி அடுத்த தலைமுறைக்கு நீங்கள் சொல்லும்படி, அதின் காவல் அரண்களை நன்றாய் கவனியுங்கள்; கோட்டைப் பட்டணங்களைப் பார்வையிடுங்கள்.

Mark ye well her bulwarks, consider her palaces; that ye may tell [it] to the generation following.

14 ஏனெனில் இந்த இறைவனே என்றென்றும் நம்முடைய இறைவன்; மரணம் வரையும் அவரே நமக்கு வழிகாட்டியாய் இருப்பார்.

For this God [is] our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide [even] to death.
