சங்கீதம் 43

1 இறைவனே, என் நீதியை மெய்ப்பித்துக் காட்டும்; இறை பக்தியற்ற நாட்டினருக்கு விரோதமாய் எனக்காக வழக்காடும், வஞ்சகமும் கொடுமையுமான மனிதரிடமிருந்து என்னைத் தப்புவியும்.

Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation: from the deceitful and unjust man do thou deliver me.

2 ஏனெனில் நீரே என் இறைவன், என் கோட்டை. நீர் ஏன் என்னைப் புறக்கணித்துவிட்டீர்? பகைவனால் ஒடுக்கப்பட்டு, நான் ஏன் துக்கத்துடன் திரியவேண்டும்?

For thou art the God of my fortress: why hast thou abandoned me? why must I walk about grieved, under the oppression of the enemy?

3 உமது ஒளியையும் உமது உண்மையையும் அனுப்பும்; அவை எனக்கு வழிகாட்டட்டும். நீர் குடியிருக்கும் இடமான உமது பரிசுத்த மலைக்கு அவை என்னைக் கொண்டுவரட்டும்.

Send thou thy light and thy truth, these shall guide me; they shall bring me unto thy holy mountain, and to thy dwellings:

4 அப்பொழுது இறைவனின் பலிபீடத்தண்டைக்குப் போவேன்; என் மகிழ்ச்சியும் என் களிப்புமான இறைவனிடத்திற்குப் போவேன். இறைவனே, என் இறைவனே, யாழ் இசைத்து உம்மைத் துதிப்பேன்.

That I may go unto the altar of God, unto God the joy of my gladness; and that I may thank thee upon the harp, O God, my God.

5 என் ஆத்துமாவே, நீ ஏன் சோர்ந்து போகிறாய்? ஏன் இவ்விதமாய் எனக்குள் கலங்கியிருக்கிறாய்? இறைவனில் உன் எதிர்பார்ப்பை வைத்திரு; நான் என் இறைவனின் இரட்சிப்பிற்காக இன்னும் அவரைத் துதிப்பேன்.

Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? Hope thou in God; for I shall yet thank him, the salvation of my countenance, and my God.
