சங்கீதம் 38
1 நினைவுகூருதலுக்கான விண்ணப்பமாகிய தாவீதின் சங்கீதம். யெகோவாவே உம்முடைய கோபத்தில் என்னை சிட்சியாதேயும்; உமது கடுங்கோபத்தினால் என்னைத் தண்டியாதேயும்.
Yahweh, when you are angry [with me], do not rebuke/scold me and punish me!
2 உம்முடைய அம்புகள் என்னை ஊடுருவக் குத்தியிருக்கின்றன; உமது கரமோ என்மேல் பாரமாயிருக்கிறது.
[Now it is as though] you have shot your arrows at me and wounded me; you have struck me and knocked me down.
3 உமது கடுங்கோபத்தால் என் உடலில் ஆரோக்கியமில்லை; என் பாவத்தினால் என் எலும்புகளில் சுகமில்லை.
Because you have been angry with me, I am suffering great pain. Because of my sin, my whole body is diseased.
4 நான் தாங்கமுடியாத சுமையைப்போல என்னுடைய குற்றங்கள் என் தலைக்குமேல் கடந்துபோயிற்று.
All my sins are [like a flood] that covers my head; they are like a load that is very heavy, with the result that I cannot carry it.
5 என் மதிகேட்டினால் எனக்கு ஏற்பட்ட புண்கள் அழுகி நாற்றமெடுத்தது.
Because I have done foolish things, I have sores that have become worse, and they stink.
6 நான் கூனிக்குறுகி மிகவும் தாழ்த்தப்பட்டுப் போனேன்; நாளெல்லாம் நான் துக்கத்தோடு திரிகிறேன்.
[Sometimes] I am bent over, and [sometimes] I lie prostrate; I am sad/cry all day.
7 எனக்குள் வேதனை எரிபந்தமாய் எரிகிறது; என் உடலில் சுகமே இல்லை.
My body is burning with fever, and I am very ill.
8 நான் பலவீனமுற்று முற்றுமாய் உருக்குலைந்து போனேன்; உள்ளத்தின் வேதனையால் நான் கதறுகிறேன்.
I am completely exhausted, and I have no strength. I am very distressed, and I groan with pain.
9 யெகோவாவே, என் வாஞ்சைகள் எல்லாம் உமக்கு முன்பாக இருக்கிறது; என் பெருமூச்சும் உமக்கு மறைவாயில்லை.
Yahweh, you know that I desire [to be healed]; you hear me while I am groaning.
10 என் இருதயம் படபடக்கிறது, என் பெலன் குன்றிப்போகிறது; என் கண்களும்கூட ஒளியிழந்து மங்கிப்போயிற்று.
My heat is pounding heavily, and all my strength is gone. I am no longer able to see well.
11 எனது கூட்டாளிகளும் நண்பர்களும் என் புண்களின் நிமித்தம், என்னைச் சந்திப்பதைத் தவிர்க்கிறார்கள். என்னுடைய உறவினர்களும் என்னைவிட்டுத் தூரமாய் நிற்கிறார்கள்.
My friends and neighbors stay away from me because of my sores; even my own family stays away from me.
12 என்னைக் கொல்லத் தேடுபவர்கள் எனக்குக் கண்ணிகளை வைக்கிறார்கள்; எனக்குத் தீமைசெய்யத் தேடுகிறவர்கள் என் அழிவைக் குறித்துப் பேசுகிறார்கள்; நாளெல்லாம் வஞ்சனையாய் சூழ்ச்சி செய்கிறார்கள்.
And those who want to kill me set traps to catch me; those who want to harm me discuss ways to get rid of me; they plot against me all day.
13 நானோ செவிடனைப்போலக் கேட்காதவனாகவும், ஊமையனைப்போல வாய் திறக்காதவனாகவும் இருக்கிறேன்.
Now I act like I’m deaf, and do not listen [to what they say]. I act like I cannot talk, so I say nothing [to reply to them].
14 காது காதுகேட்காதவனும், தன்னுடைய வாயினால் பதிலளிக்க முடியாதிருக்கிற மனிதனைப் போலானேன்.
I act like a man who does not answer [when people talk to him], because he cannot hear anything.
15 யெகோவாவே, நான் உமக்குக் காத்திருக்கிறேன்; என் இறைவனாகிய ஆண்டவரே, நீர் எனக்கு பதில் கொடும்.
But Yahweh, I trust in you. My Lord God, you will answer me.
16 “என் கால் சறுக்கும்போது, அவர்கள் என்னைப் பழித்து மகிழவிடாதேயும்; அவர்கள் என்னிமித்தம் ஏளனமாக பெருமைபாராட்ட விடாதேயும்” என்று நான் சொன்னேன்.
I said to you, “Do not cause [me to die, with the result that] my enemies will rejoice! Do not cause me to stumble, with the result that they will be very happy!”
17 நான் தடுமாறிவிழும் தருவாயில் இருக்கிறேன்; என் வேதனை எப்பொழுதும் எனக்கு முன்பாக இருக்கிறது.
I say that because I am about to fall down, and I constantly have pain.
18 என் அநியாயத்தை அறிக்கையிடுகிறேன்; என் பாவத்தினால் நான் கலங்கியிருக்கிறேன்.
I confess the wrong things that I have done; I am [very] sorry for the sins that I have committed.
19 காரணமின்றி பலர் எனக்கு பகைவரானார்கள்; எதுவுமின்றி என்னை வெறுக்கிறவர்கள் ஏராளமாயிருக்கிறார்கள்.
My enemies are healthy and strong; there are many people who hate me for no reason.
20 நான் நன்மையானதைச் செய்தபோதும், நான் செய்த நன்மைக்குப் பதிலாக எனக்குத் தீமை செய்பவர்கள் என்னைக் குற்றப்படுத்துகிறார்கள்.
Those who do evil things to me in return for my doing good things to them oppose me because I try to do what is right.
21 யெகோவாவே, என்னைக் கைவிடாதேயும்; என் இறைவனே, என்னைவிட்டுத் தூரமாய் இருக்கவேண்டாம்.
Yahweh, do not abandon me! My God, do not stay far from me!
22 என் இரட்சகராகிய யெகோவாவே, எனக்கு உதவிசெய்ய விரைவாய் வாரும்.
Lord, you are the one who saves/rescues me; Quickly [come and] help me!
