சங்கீதம் 23

1 தாவீதின் சங்கீதம். யெகோவா என் மேய்ப்பராயிருக்கிறார், எனக்கு ஒரு குறையும் ஏற்படாது.

A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

2 அவர் என்னைப் பசுமையான புல்வெளிகளில் இளைப்பாறப் பண்ணுகிறார், அமைதியான நீர்நிலைகளின் அருகே என்னை வழிநடத்துகிறார்.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

3 அவர் என் ஆத்துமாவுக்கு புத்துயிர் அளிக்கிறார். தமது பெயருக்காக அவர் என்னை, நீதியின் பாதைகளில் நடத்துகிறார்.

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

4 மரண நிழலின் பள்ளத்தாக்கின் வழியே நான் நடந்தாலும் நான் ஒரு தீமைக்கும் பயப்படமாட்டேன், ஏனென்றால், நீர் என்னுடன்கூட இருக்கிறீர்; உமது கோலும் உமது தடியும், எனக்கு ஆறுதல் அளிக்கின்றன.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

5 என் பகைவர்களின் சமுகத்தில் நீர் எனக்கென ஒரு விருந்தை ஆயத்தம்பண்ணுகிறீர். நீர் என் தலையை எண்ணெயால் அபிஷேகம் பண்ணுகிறீர்; என் பாத்திரம் நிரம்பி வழிகிறது.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of my enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

6 நிச்சயமாகவே என் வாழ்நாள் முழுவதும் நன்மையும் அன்பும் என்னைத் தொடர்ந்து வரும், நான் யெகோவாவினுடைய வீட்டில் என்றென்றுமாய் வாழ்வேன்.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
